The one time I go there, and there's a line up twelve fully loaded buggies deep, and a single cashier literally with her thumb in her mouth trying to figure out the basic functions of the till. Page after page requesting additional help on tills goes unanswered by the rest of the staff. It would have been nice to pay for my stuff inside of half an hour. Instead I just put it down and walk out. The very essence of apathy and incompetence in a retail environment. Disgusting. Zero stars if I could.

Tl;dr: The place is often clean, though cramped. Staff are polite, but have no idea where the hell anything is. The pros: Dollarama is known for its bad quality, but I have to disagree with this one. They kept everything clean and out of the way for clients, and they try really hard to keep everything clean. The staff are polite, and make you feel quite good. The last time I visited, I got to watch one of the staff members play with a toddler in the buggy. The cons: The staff have no idea where anything is.

I went to Dollarama today and purchased 3 tablecloths, I went to my car and noticed 2 of the tablecloths were wrong size. I went directly back to the store 3 minutes later and said I had the wrong size, they said we cannot exchange for correct size I need to buy the themagain and keep the tablecloths that are useless to me. Be careful and make absolutely sure everything that what you buy is perfect or you will lose money

Just here to inform staff of a continuous shoplifter, this individual is easy to spot. He’s 6 feet tall, white male wears a black leather jacket or winter coat, a black cap with a clown on it and a clown face mask and a camp backpack. He frequently goes in and spends about $2 for a pop or two but walks out with close to $50 worth of chocolate, chips and candy and cat food every time he enters the store. His name is William fair and will also go as William ratcliff. Keep an eye out for him he will continue unless something is done. He’s already banned from no frills in Barrie on Wellington and is now back in midland cause he was never caught there. Ppl like him should not be walking free.

The checkout staff were rude and didn't seem to care that the customers are the reason they are in business, and don't think ' well it's only a dollar store, what do you expect?' Im glad we have a dollarama here locally. Always easy to get a few needed grocery store items without getting lost in the big stores. You also have cheaper brand name products and a large variety of unique items. I enjoy your craft section and silk flowers since i make cemetary stone arrangements. Cheaper and better than Michaels unless i can make it to blow out sales. But all and all a good local place to meet your needs.

Please help me understand during a pandemic while I am forced to take a cart????? To keep a head count? Are there not other ways? I was told in order to shop at the dollarama on Bayfield in Barrie I must take a cart....wiping it with the same dirty cloth? I would like a response from Dollarama head office why this is being done exposing people to a higher risk? I was told that head office demanded this is how it’s done....so moving forward not the place I want to shop there are a million dollar stores out that that I can go to....change your practice....

Cashier was very friendly BUT, wore gloves that were so discoloured and filthy looking that I was uncomfortable. She served the customer in front of me, spoke on the phone, left the till to search for a product on the shelves, came back to the phone, then served me - with no sanitary precautions being taken (other than the discoloured gloves). Would be much safer and provide more protection to both customers and herself to sanitize her hands between customers as we have been directed to do.

This used to be a great dollar store. Now it is frustrating with the self check outs and lack of help at the counter. It was much quicker when the friendly staff rang you through. They are not looking too happy anymore when you ask for help with those aggravating machines. Also the layout is not as good as it used to be. I feel crowded. At least the cell phone equipment is on a better place now. It used to be at the checkout and you didn't have time to look at what you needed.
