Although I like Old Navy because of their affordable prices and sales, I was disappointed in their selections and this store's lack of customer service. Although it is a big store, I find that there isn't a lot of styles to choose from. In terms of customer service, they didn't have any. I don't recall seeing anyone on the floor to help customers out or to organize clothes. Also, trying clothes on can be a challenge. The last time I was there, there was no one to assist in the fitting room area. I ended up not trying any clothes on as I didn't feel comfortable just walking into an empty room, so I left. Every clothing store I've been to, there is always someone there to count your clothes, assign you a room, and display the amount of clothes you have. This was not the case. Today, there was a girl who showed up after 5 minutes of me waiting. She went to check all rooms but they were occupied and said it would be a few minutes. A girl who was trying clothes on came out shortly after and handed the clothes she didn't want to the girl that works there. The girl who works there then took her time to put the clothes back on their hangers. I waited patiently as I assumed that she would come back and assign me to a room. She couldn't have forgotten about me already right? So I kept waiting until the lady behind me asked if I was going to go in the empty room to which I replied I think the lady has to count my clothes and write the number on the door? But when I looked to the girl who works there, she was still folding clothes and then moved into a corner I couldn't see. So I approached her asking if I could go into the empty room and she looked at me confused as if she didn't understand why I was asking. I asked her don't you need the number of clothes I have? She was about to count but I told her the amount to make things quicker. Finally got into the room after a long and confusing wait. When I was done, I unintentionally glanced in the direction of where they usually write the number of clothes on the door. It was blank!
Why have a clothing limit if the staff are not even going to regulate it?
I remember the days when going into the fitting rooms were so routine. Every clothing store always had a person who would double check the amount of clothes, assign you a room, and even assist with getting you different sizes. Sadly, customer service in the clothing industry has gone down significantly, and today was the perfect reflection of this.
