I need to start by saying, I loved my dress, actually, everyone loved my dress...so many compliments!!! It was at LA Collection that I tried on my very first grad dress ever and after trying on a few different styles, something happened when I walked out of the change room and as my mom saw me in "the one". Her face said it all. She even asked me if I was saying "yes to the dress!" Nothing else compared and we bought it that day. It was such a special time for me (and my mom) and to have this be a positive, fun, easy, relaxed experience made it even more special. My mom now tells her friends to go there for their daughter's grad dresses! ...and one day, when I find "Mr. Right", I'll be back for my Wedding dress :)

I had a bad experience at LA Collection 5 years ago with my grad dress. They ordered the wrong size (I ordered a 10 and when it arrived it was an 8) and refused to alter my dress so that I could breathe and told me "just go walk your dog and you will lose weight so it fits" I do not have a dog. I decided to give them a second chance when looking for a wedding dress this year. The initial appointment went very well. Natasha was very helpful in picking my dress. During the next few months of alterations everyone was friendly and helpful. Due to Covid my wedding was much smaller and shorter than anticipated. No dancing and home by 9pm. which is maybe a good thing due to slowly throughout the day I was losing buttons on my dress. Eventually a 2-inch piece of the middle of my back was exposed due to all these buttons falling off. I was forced to wear my new husband's suit jacket for the rest of the evening. If there had been dancing, I would probably have lost them all and had my dress fall off! my middle bustle also let go and broke causing me to have a weird tail follow behind me. After the wedding I reached out to LA Collection to let them know this happened. It took a lot of effort but they finally said they would reach out to the manufacturer who eventually just told us that we should have noticed the buttons were loose before leaving the store with the dress. How am I supposed to know how tight or loose buttons on a wedding dress should be? I have never even touched one before. After all this, LA Collection did offer me a small amount of compensation in the form of a gift card. We do appreciate their effort even if it was not enough.

I CAN NOT express how amazing my experince was at L.A Collection . From the second I walked through the doors I was so warmly greeted !! The staff is delightful ! And the lady I had that worked with me was by far the most amazing lady I have delt with in a bridal store ! She went above and beyond to help me and in the end she found a dress I wasnt to sure about but I tried it on and instantly fell in love ! If I could I would bring her along with me the day of our wedding !! We arrived at our appointment much earlier than scheduled, but the team was more than accommodating, ensuring that we had a room and assistance right away. I Purchased my Beautiful Christina Wu dress from LA collection and was very pleased with the fit and the look of my dress. At my Graduation i had many people come up to me and tell me that my dress was stunning and fit me perfectly. i was told that the dress stood out because of the color of dress and the way it nicely contrasted with my hair. I had many comments on how the top of the dress stood out because of how elegant yet simple looking the dress was. I was extremely happy with the choice i made in picking my dress and was really happy with the service i received with picking my dress! Horrible store. They rushed us in the initial shopping for my best friend's wedding dress months ago, didn't give her any guidance or support in finding something that suited her body type and goals for a dress. When the dress came in it didn't fit, apparently their seamstress had 0 way to make it look nice with alterations, and it was hideous. After almost an hour they refused to offer her more than 50% of the value of the dress (which was already paid in full) in STORE CREDIT ???????? Refused to show us ANY documentation that showed a no exchanges rule, even on the contract we signed. Horrible communication Horrible time to get the dress back for alterations And 0 support from the employees during either visit there.

Prom was an awesome time with friends. I spent the morning getting my hair done by my best friend's cousin. We then went to another friend's farm for pictures taken by parents. We had a blast using props such as tractors, retro cars, and wooden letters to add some fun into traditional prom pictures. Our grad class organized a group picture session on the island and we were able to get a group grad class photo in our prom attire. As for the actual prom, I got to walk the stage with one of my best guy friends, we had been talking about going to prom together since grade 9. I love to dance so I had so much fun dancing with my prom date, dad, and my boyfriend. Our grad class choose Wanna Be by the Spice Girls (which we sang real loud to) and Boot Scootin Boogie by Brooks & Dunn (which we all line danced too). We were also given 'Prom Awards' by our prom speaker which were superlatives voted on by the senior class. We were able to have a good laugh with ones such as 'Worst Driver', 'Most Likely to Fall Asleep in Class," and "Most Likely to be ID'd When 30". Overall prom was an experience filled with beautiful dresses, lots of laughs, and memories to last a lifetime.

Either because it was a grad dress or that I was not spending a lot of money that it was completely fine to act bored around me. I left the store feeling like I was a burden to the business. I will not be coming here to buy my wedding dress in a few months.

My graduation day was the best day of my life. Never before had I felt so confident and beautiful as I did in my dress. I felt on top of the world, riding around in a limo, sipping champagne and taking photos at some of the most beautiful places in Winnipeg. All my friends looked fantastic and yet I wasn't comparing myself to them, there was no contest, we all looked amazing and we all knew it! We danced late into the night talking and laughing, for that one night, there wasn't a care in the world. Who knows when I will have a chance to wear a dress like that again, but I'll never forget how it made me feel. I felt like the most beautiful, most important girl in the world. That was the best thing about grad, in our dresses, hair and makeup all done up, we were all the most beautiful and important people in the world, even just for that one day.

I shopped for prom dresses here and fell in love with a one of a kind princess dress, I’m a size 4; the thing is my dream dress was a size 8. They not only tailored it down to a size 4 for me but also tailored it perfect for the height of my heels! I now have a beautiful one of a kind dress that fits like it was made for me and it’s so elegant my sister thinks I should save it for my future wedding:)

My consultant, Tiara (Hi! I bought the white dress with the blue beading) was so friendly and extremely helpful. The store was elegant and very very clean, aside from the sparkles on the floor lol. The pricing was surprisingly low compared to other bridal stores, especially for the quality of dress I got. They also price match, which is great. Overall it was a great shopping experience and I would highly recommend LA Collection to anyone shopping for graduation/prom dresses.

I've been really pleased both times I've gone to LA. The sales associates are very sweet, and were helpful with finding exactly the dress I was looking for. I purchased my wedding gown from LA, and my sister bought her grad dress there. Shop is tidy, change rooms are private and have enough space to move around in, and there are tons of affordable options for any kind of dress you're looking for. Also - I've scheduled an appointment beforehand, and also walked in without making an appointment - had great service both times. Would recommend making an appointment just to help the staff out, they can get pretty busy this time of year helping brides and grads find their gowns!

Had to say one of the best parts about my dress was it was one of a kind and no one I saw had one like it. I had many friends that bought from Chantal's bridal and they kept comparing themselves to any girl they saw with the same dress which took away from the night, I loved my Dress and had many compliments and many friends I have in grade 11 asking where I got it from as they'll be looking for dresses in a few months time :)

Probably the worst experience I've had trying on grad dresses. The workers did absolutely nothing for me, especially being plus-sized. There were almost no dresses that fit me, and when I asked to put one on (over my shoulders), I had the dress handed to me to put on myself. There was no help pinning it to see what it would look like as if I was wearing it, and I couldn't try anything on. I wanted to cry the entire time I was there, as I felt unwelcomed and too big to be treated well. So disappointed. Definitely didn't get my business.

We walked in for an appointment and this was the best stop of the day! The girl that helped us was funny and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was fantastic. They had so many dresses all categorized into convenient style/vibe groups that made it easy to pick/avoid certain styles. My sister got her dress here a year ago and my friend tried on lots of gorgeous gowns this time around. A person only graduates from high school once. No matter how you look at it no one will ever have the chance to do it twice. Knowing this, families, teachers, friends and graduates all work hard to ensure graduating is an experience to remember. LA Collection played an important role in making my graduation special. On my first day of the great grad dress hunt I was overwhelmed by the shear number of dresses available. Going from store to store, seeing every different kind of dress in every color from champagne, to chartreuse, to charcoal slate and not being able to find the right one. I went to 5-10 different stores, but a special blush and cream dress couldn’t leave my mind all day. At some dress boutiques they don’t leave you alone to shop and decide on a dress for yourself, and at others don’t help you at all. LA Collection has a balance of both, and the organization of the store makes it easy to find the color and the style you want. One thing that I really loved was that they put the dress into the system under your school name, that way you can be sure that there will be no two dresses alike. Its just one creative way to help ensure that their client’s graduation is special and stress free. The laughter of 13 years of memories, and the tears of heartbreaking goodbyes are locked away and safely kept in my grad gown, every time I see it I smile because it holds countless memories from a huge chunk of my life. Thank you LA Collection for helping to make not only my dress buying experience seamless, but also creating a once in a lifetime graduation experience.

Went here for my wedding dress in early 2020 (pre-pandemic...) - we had so much fun. I tried on so many dresses (10-15?) and then ultimately went with the first one! They had a great selection in their sale/clearance room, which we were allowed to dig through and select ones to try on from my size. And then it fit so well, I bought it off the rack and walked out with it! But we had a whole corner space that was just for me and my people, and didn't feel rushed to make a decision. The staff were helpful without being pushy.

My mother in law lives in Saskatoon and picking a dress that was suitable for her was a bit of a challenge. They were a second store we hit on her shopping trip and after about 40 minutes of looking through the store we hit the target. The sales clerk that we had was a bit bored to look for a dress for a woman in her 60s, which was disappointing and unpleasant, but the front counter staff were very helpful, so I guess it is a neutral review with a one plus and one minus, evening to a zero.

I had an amazing experience at LA Collection this year. I graduated high school this year, and was extremely apprehensive about buying a grad dress. I have had body image issues my entire life, and have always hated shopping because of that. When my mother and I came to LA Collection, we were greeted and told to look around. We found many dresses that looked good on the rack, but not so great on me. The sales associate asked to help us, and when I told her vaguely what I wanted my dress to look like, she came back with three options and one of them was the one I ended up purchasing. She smiled at me, and actually ended up giving it to us 20% off because it was a 2016, and the last of its kind. We had to go in for alterations three times, and I felt so bad because each time I found something new that I wanted slightly changed. The kind alterations woman never stopped smiling, and talked with me about my day, even when on the second alteration appointment I broke down in tears because I thought I looked ugly in my dress. On the third and final day, I came in, and put it on. It was so perfect. She had gone the extra mile to make sure I felt beautiful in my dress, and I can never thank her enough for being so patient, creative, and kind. I got tons of compliments on my dress, and I recommend LA Collections to anyone who asks.

In June of this year, I graduated from Virden Collegiate Institute. In the spring, My mom and I came in to Winnipeg for a day of grad dress shopping. LA Collection was the first store we went to. The staff were great. At first I wasn't even sure what I wanted, so they let us take our time looking around and once they figured out the type of dress I wanted, they brought a lot of great choices to try. And the minute I put my dress on, I knew it was the one I wanted. Once the dress was in, I had to come back for alterations. Being from out of town, they were great at scheduling a time that would work for me. And the alterations were done very quickly. My sister will be looking for a grad dress in a couple of years and LA Collection will be the place I will bring her to find her dress.

She listened to everything I liked about each dress I tried on which lead her to finding the perfect dress for me. Not to mention the dress was on sale. They try to squeeze every penny they can from you. This store was nothing but trouble for our whole bridal party. 1.They told the bride she needed to order her dress 6months before the wedding. When she went 6months before they told her she waited to long and they would have to charge her a "rushing fee" 2. Then we were told the bridesmaids needed to come in at 4 months before the wedding, Again we were told we waited too long and were all charged a "rushing fee" That's 5 rushing fees at $50+ each. 3. I was measured and told by the employee measuring me what size I needed. When the dress came in it was too small. ( I hadn't gained weight) I called and they told me their size charts, so based on my measurements and their chart I would have needed a dress 3 sizes bigger. 4. I asked if they could fix it, yes but I would have to pay more money. Because I had confirmed the size they ordered It wasn't their problem.

I went to three stores before landing in LA collection and I found that because of all their selection, I could find so many dresses I loved and what styles l really wanted for my dress. When I first walked in the door, I knew that this place was professional as they asked you to remove your shoes and the whole store was organized in such a way that you could easily find a grad dress or a wedding gown because they had split the store in two which made it easier to navigate. What I really like about LA collections was that there was always a sales associate there to help you and you were treated like you were the only one in the whole store. Thanks for everything, I loved my dress and that I got to be dressed up for one day in a beautiful gown.

My daughter Roxanne is my 1st child to graduate. She had the time of her life. She is not a dress kind of girl but when she found her dream dress at your store, her face simply lit up. You see she saw this dress online and that is the one she wanted but it was so expensive. I told her we'd have to see. The day we drove into Winnipeg one of her friends texted her saying she had just found her dress at LA Collection and she had to go there so we did. That was the best decision ever. At first I could see the disappointment as she couldn't find "her" dress. I let her look on her own and then it happened. She came rushing to me with the biggest smile on her face. The wonderful staff checked that no other girl at her school had already purchased the dress and luckily no had. She tried it on first and then a couple others but this one was definitely made for her. Plus it was her school's colours - royal blue. She got so many compliments. My shy tomboy looked like a princess and I could tell she felt like one too. Her favourite picture is when she is standing by the tree in our yard but as her mom I love the one when she is dancing with her friend and twirling around. The only 2 on the dance floor. All her inhibitions gone. That's what this dress did for her. So thank you for making her dream come true and for making my baby girl look even more beautiful than she already is. I have recommended your store to many already.

I've visited LA Collection many times, and every single time we have had an absolute blast! The staff is super professional, and know what they are talking about! For ever bridal party/ grad I've come in with, they always made us feel very special! The best thing about this store is that they have so many exclusive lines that only their store carries, so it gave us so much selection that other stores couldn't offer! The store itself is always clean, organized, and we'll taken care of. The fitting rooms are very spacious, allowing more than one dress at a time in the fitting room, unlike most other bridal salons in Winnipeg. Over all a luxury experience, and even though I haven't bought a dress here myself, I can't wait until the day when I get to pick my dream gown at LA Collection!

I bought my wedding dress from L.A. Collection while they were still based downtown, and had it fitted and altered in their new location. The new space is so much nicer than the old basement shop! When I first went in, I thought I wouldn't be able to find what I was looking for in the large selection of dresses but, with a bit of help from Hannah, I found my perfect dress! The best thing for me was the alterations. After ordering my dress in too large a size, I was nervous about how the altered dress would look but it was AMAZING! I had a couple of fittings, and they were very helpful explaining how best to fit it to my shape, and I didn't feel rushed at all. They even gave me excellent advice about travelling with my dress, as it was taken as hand luggage to my wedding abroad.

Very unimpressed with the service here, but I don't know what else I expected. I've been warned of how poor the customer service is at this store but I guess I hoped differently. My sister and I came in looking for grad dresses for her and spend a solid 10 minutes looking around before anyone even said hello to us. We were never told we had to sign in at the desk and even after we did nobody came to assist us. I had to hunt down an employee just to start us up a room and take the heavy dresses I'd been carrying. My sister felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in this store and the staff did nothing to accommodate us or make me want to stay. After my sister tried on dresses the associate who'd set us up with a room didn't even ask how it went or how she liked the dresses, she just stood there staring into nothing. I don't understand the point of signing in if nobody is going to provide help, especially if I've asked for help as well. They had many styles of grad dresses, however I was dissapointed with the size selection. Each dress was only available in 1 size, which is understandable for the clearance styles, but not the new styles. How is my sister, a size 4, supposed to know if she likes a dress when she can only try it on in a size 10? My experience at LA Collections was disappointing to say the least and I'd recommend if you aren't looking for bridal to go somewhere else as they clearly don't care about you.

I found that no one was helping me in finding a grad dress, and that I was forced to look for myself. At other bridal stores, they were hands on ready to help and always ready to zip you up and clip your dress. They also didn’t pick out dresses that would look good on me, or that I might have an interest in, again compared to the other bridal stores. Inconclusion my experience wasn’t the greatest and I was disappointed.

I was totally underwhelmed by the service and atmosphere at LA Collection. There are signs everywhere saying no pictures allowed, which is extremely discouraging. The lady helping us was not very helpful, seemed like she was having a sour day, straight faced and unfriendly. When I found a dress I liked, they wouldn't give me the name or designer of the dress because of the 'competitive nature of their business', when all I wanted was to be able to find pictures online to show people, since I couldn't take my own pictures. They do have a decent variety of dresses, but I was overall disappointed.

Upon searching numerous stores for the perfect grad dress, we arrived at L A Collection. I tried on a few different styles...Mermaid, ball gown, strapless, and it wasn't until til I tried on the one-shoulder chiffon that I knew I would be saying yes to the dress. The dress was very simple, yet elegant. I tried it on with a few different accessories and decided the belt was the icing on the cake which completed the elegant red-carpet look I was going for. When the time came for alterations, the seamstress at L A Collection was fantastic. We were determined not to leave the store u til everything was 100% perfect and we received this service at L A Collection. Even though it was quite busy, my sales associate was often there to help or give an opinion when asked. I fell in love with a lacy, blush gown that I ordered that day. She helped me find exactly what I was looking for. They even did my alterations in the shop and they came out perfect! A young woman's grad dress is the second most important gown that she will ever put on, next to her wedding dress of course! This being said, I was extremely nervous to start shopping for "my dress". Two years prior, my sister purchased her grad dress from LA Collection. She walked in, showed them what she wanted and got her dress. Quick and simple.. My case was much different. I walked into the store not knowing what style would suit my 6'1 frame or what colour wouldn't drown out my pale complexion. What if I couldn't find "the one"?! I was feeling pretty defeated after not finding anything that I loved! I started to get down on myself and began to panic, thinking I wouldn't have a beautiful dress for grad! That is until my lovely sales associate decided to take matters into her own hands! She took my pile of "No's" and marched right back out onto the floor. When she returned, she had a pile of dresses of all different styles. I took a look through the pile she selected for me and it was as if Heavens gates opened right before my eyes. It was a beautiful, ocean blue dress with gold and silver beading. I remember stepping into the dress with the help of my mom and the moment I held it up to my chest... I knew it was my dress. I walked out of the fitting room to show my friends my potential grad dress and all jaws hit the floor. I had strangers complimenting me telling me how beautiful I looked! I've never felt so special before! The only problem was that this dress was the only one left of its kind so I would have to buy it off the rack and it was approximately 6 sizes too big. All my worries and fears quickly went away when my sales associate began shoving pillows in the back of my dress to help give me an idea of what it would look like once it was altered. I couldn't have smiled bigger even if I wanted to. After staring at myself in the mirror for quite a while, my mom talked me into taking the dress off. She came into the fitting room with me and I said to her, "mom, I feel so pretty". Feeling pretty and confident is something that I've always struggled with so having this experience was incredible! Because of that sales associate, I found the perfect dress for me! Thank you LA Collection for your amazing service and helping me feel beautiful on my big day!!

Highly under-staffed, store was very messy and cluttered, seemed like there were no employees working or something, had to wait 1.5hrs + to get a fitting room and there was still an enormous line behind us. There were no associates to suggest dresses or help with sizes. Daphne made all the difference in my experience trying on wedding dresses. She is amazing at pulling and pinning to ensure that the dress looks as it would if it was the correct size for you. She made me feel confident, happy, and excited. I'm not someone that generally loves trying on clothes or having people stare at me as I do so - but she made me feel beautiful trying on these dresses. I can't explain enough how much I appreciated the availability of extended sizes to try on at the store. Actually being able to put the dresses on, and have them fit and get an understanding of how they would look on me made all the difference. Some stores have availability to order in different sizes, but LA Bridal actually has lots of dresses in these sizes to physically try on. I can't express enough how great my experience was here. I would 10/10 recommend to any bride, but especially a plus sized bride.

LA Collection was the second store I visited for a wedding dress and I had an amazing experience, unlike the first store. Kathy, my consultant, had the perfect personality for me.... she was simply real. She wasn't pushy, she was honest and she listened to what I wanted and ended up picking THE dress. Ask to return the unused dress, unaltered, still in the original dress bag. They or their policy would not accept nor even offer a restocking fee. Apologized for the delay in responding to us, opened a change room and came to check on us regularly. My experience at LA was a major let down. While the woman assisting me was friendly and professional, she did not actually assist me in any way while looking for gowns through the racks. The only thing she did was put the gowns into the room, and then zip me up. No suggestions, not helping me sift through the racks, barely even any conversation. Their plus size selection was incredibly disappointing, I only had 3 dresses I could actually try on in the style I wanted. Plus size women deserve to have a good quality selection of styles to actually try on, as is the whole point of bridal gown shopping, to view dresses on your body. Disappointing.

This year I purchased my beautiful grad dress at LA Collection's. I had a very hard time finding a prom dress as I was on a fairly tight budget, I live out of Winnipeg and I had surgery in the heart of prime dress hunting season. Finally, I came to LA Collection's and within minutes I found my dream dress. It was a beautiful blush pink with a beautiful lace top. Being a teenage girl, having the same dress as another girl seemed like a nightmare. I was very impressed that the store has the program that helped with preventing that and my school even had a prom dress facebook page where you could anonymously post pictures of the dress to help prevent that as well. The big day came around and when as I got to my prom I realised two other girls had the same dress. This seemed impossible to me seeing as so many tools were in place to prevent that and I live in a fairly small city. As the evening went on, I started to realise that nobody had noticed the dress mishap, even after each person had the chance to do a grand march up onto the stage to show off their dress/suit. I learned that even though the dress is such a huge part of the evening, it's all about adding your own style and wearing it with confidence. Every woman has a unique body, style, and sense of confidence that can make your style your own. This is what prom taught me and I'm so glad this was a lesson I learned. It's a lesson I apply to my everyday fashion and overall body confidence. Thank you for being a part of that lesson!

The first event of the day was picture time at the local agricultural research station where all the grads gathered to take photos with friends and family. After spending $800.00 on a grad dress it came in too small on top and too long. They told my daughter to take it home and if it didn't fit...come in for alterations. After calling..they said an appt. would have to be made in about a monrh..then longer for alterations. (We originally ordered this dress in November and it is now April). They however "sqeezed us in" sooner. When my daughter tried the dress on and the zipper was too tight...the seamstress asked her "are you planning on loseing some weight?". We were both shocked..since they measured her, ordered it and she is a petite size 6. A more sensitive approach by sales staff to young girls who are self conscious about their bodies already is needed. After that...we pointed out it was also too long...so it was measured and I was handed a bill for alterations of $180.00. (maybe it would have been more convenient if she grew a few inches for them also). Not impressed with the rude comments and my daughter was upset. The grad customers of today might be bridal customers of tommorrow...if you don't insult them!

My experience with grad was amazing and truly unforgettable. I got to spend some emotional last moments with my former classmates that were either going to different post-secondary schools, or moving abroad for their studies, thus bringing some tears and laughter among us all because of how proud we were for one another. Seeing everyone all dressed up in their formal dresses and suits really made me realize that " wow, we actually made it this far together and we all graduated. ", every one complimented each other on how stunning they all looked. My bad experience at this bridal store took place a few years ago, and even to this day I feel a little unsettled about it; I felt slightly discriminated. The women who helped me out were first off very rude. I was shopping for a graduation dress with two friends, and found a dress I was absolutely in love with. I wanted to purchase the dress right then and there, but it was only our first stop, so we decided to just hold it for one hour and I would come back after browsing at two or more shops (just to be sure). The ladies told me they could not do any holds at all during grad season. We understood, so I agreed with my friends to continue browsing, and come back to purchase this dress if I did not find anything else. Sure enough, we return and I'm excited to finally purchase the grad dress of my dreams. I re-enter the store only to see another girl trying on my dream dress. When I told the lady I was here to purchase my dress, of course she goes on AND TELLS THE MOTHER OF THE GIRL that I was there to purchase the dress her daughter was trying on. They immediately decide to buy the dress. I mean, who wouldn't after feeling so threatened that someone right there is back to get it?! All the lady said was, "Sorry. They were here yesterday and they had it on hold first". Uhm, I thought I was JUST told that dresses were not allowed to be put on hold during grad season, but this girl had it on hold the day before I wanted to put it on hold for myself? This did not seem fair at all. I would not recommend this bridal shop to anyone looking for sincere customer service that is CONSISTENT. There are plenty of other bridal stores in the city that carry the same brands they have, and offer greater hospitality.

Bad Experience- I went to L.A. Collection to get a grad dress with my mom. We arrived right at 10 am when the store opened, other then my mom and I there was another mother and daughter that arrived at the same time as us who we did not know. We were greated by a sales rep who immediatly took the other mother/daughter to look at dresses and we were left at the front entrance with no clue on where to go to find the styles and colors we were looking for. Finally after about 10 minutes the sales rep came to find us while we were looking at dresses and asked what styles we were looking for, we told her and she showed us the section where the short dresses were then immediatly left to assist the other family. I found about 5 dresses I wanted to try on and we walked to the dressing rooms and there was the sales rep with the other customers. It took her a few minutes to notice that we were waiting to try on the dresses and she put us in the change room right next to the other girl trying on dresses. It suprised me because we were the only two families in the whole store so why would we get put so close together especially since the sales rep hadn't been helpful the whole time so why wouldn't she just put us even two change rooms apart so it wouldn't be uncomfortable for both familes. I started trying on dresses and the sales rep said nothing and didn't even offer to get different sizes, she was too busy with the other group. We got fed up with the service and decided it was time to leave, when we left she did not say a word to us and let us walk out unhappy. It was very disappointing because the dresses were so beautiful we just didn't have the help to find the ones that would look best on me, so because of the sales rep we did not purchase a dress and will never go back.

My graduation experience would not have been the same without the helpful team at LA collection. When I stepped into the store I had absolutely no idea what kind of gown I was looking for. I tried on several styles when a consultant suggested I try on a gown that she thought would perfectly suit me and my body shape, a two piece. At first I was not on board, but I was willing to try the gown on. Once I walked out and saw myself in the mirror I completely fell in love with the gown. Stepping out of the limo on the day of graduation was a terrifying experience, wondering what people would think of my gown because everyone who knows me knows that I dress for comfort and have a very casual style. I was beyond excited to hear all the compliments about my gown. The shock factor was priceless! All evening I received compliments from teachers, students and even strangers on the uniqueness of the gown and how amazingly it fit me. I was able to share laughs, and dance the night away in an absolutely incredible gown thanks to the incredible team at L.A. Collection.

Niki was so helpful and patient! She helped me try on dresses over and over again with no pressure to buy! She respected my budget and helped me stay in my price range! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and we all bought our dresses there including the bride. We tried on different styles of bridesmaid dresses and the bride picked the colour that she wanted so they brought us out different bridesmaid dresses that came in the colour that she picked. Keep in mind there was only two of us - a maid of honour and a bridesmaid. On the day of the wedding when we put on our dresses, they were both COMPLETELY different colours. One a bright royal blue and one a purple-bluish colour. It was more obvious in the pictures than anything, and so many people asked us if it was intentional or not. Not only that, but I paid $130 for alterations of my $230 bridesmaid dress to have the bottom (front) side of the dress longer than the back, and the dress was cut shorter than it should have been with the height of the shoes that I had picked when I got the alterations done. Extremely disappointed. When I spend that kind of money I want to go to a place where the people working in the boutique actually know what they're doing. Would not recommend.

My name is Danielle and I have been working here at LA Collection for 2 years now. I take pride in our customer service, as we have thousands of happy brides. Today I am posting for the fairness between the customer and the company for the below 2 comments from Jill Harder and Liz Howell. People's bodies do change by the time dresses arrive in store, whether it is up or down, it is inevitable to happen. The manager had already talked to the customer about her gown after the assistant manager emailed her (see below). She had asked her to bring the dress back to the store to see if they could do alterations, and if we could not do alterations to fix the dress then we would give her a full refund back. The customer told us that they had already bought a 2nd gown and that they did not have time to come down to the store. The manager had said if that was the case that they could bring the dress back and we would give them a full refund as a favour to her. Even after trying to work things out with the customer, they still posted negatively about the company and I feel that this is not fair. Below is the email that was sent to the customer's daughter in regards to the issue from the Assistant Manager. Here on, I have no further comment. -Staff -----Original Message----- Saturday, May 10, 2014 5:03:14 PM Hi Jill We are sorry to hear about your moms experience. I have read through your email and would like to go over a few things so that you can understand the situation, as you weren't here when your mom came in and tried on the dress. When she came in to order her dress on February first we knew that the dress would need to be rushed. The estimated ship date from our designer had we ordered it regular delivery was going to be in mid June, not allowing for any time for alterations. When we are figuring out what size dress to order for a customer we take measurements and order the closest size as recommended by the designer. Being the closest size doesn't mean that it's a custom dress, just that it fits with the ability to alter the dress if needed. 90% of our customers need some sort of alteration, that's just the way the dresses are, the designers have their standard sizes and we can, with alterations customize the dress. Most of the designers allow for extra fabric in the seams just so they can be let out and make sure the dress is a perfect fit. The dress we have in stock that your mom tried on when she bought the dress was a size 14, it was a little snug. So based on her measurements and the way the sample fit we ordered her one size up. She did tell us that the sample size dress fit better that her dress when she was here this week, we brought her that dress and it was at least 3" too small at the waist. While your mom was in the store trying on her dress for the first time since it came in, she had 3 associates and an assistant seamstress looking after her. We knew she was upset and did everything we could to assure her that the dress could be let out, thus relaxing the dress at the waist, which would then allow the dress to sit properly and zip comfortably. I can tell you with all honestly that no one told her she had gained weight, but we did let her know after measuring her again that her measurements had changed. WE have 18 staff members and only 3 have been trained to do measurements, and it is not a job we take lightly. With over 15 years of experience we take measuring customers seriously. I honestly don't think you mom needs to purchase a second dress, there is enough of an allowance to let out and relax the fit at the waist. I do understand why she was upset, but as explained to her the dress fits in the bust and through the hips. I hope this helps with any misunderstanding that may have happened. I was very disappointed in the service I recieved here. The sales girl I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. I picked a dress and opted to Make payments. I recieved a phone call from one of the Managers 2-3 weeks after and She informed me I wasn't allowed to Make payments on sale items and told me I had 2 weeks to come and pay or the dress would be returned to the sales floor and no refund would be given. Luckily my brother stepped in and purchased the dress. 3 months later I returned to have the dress altered. The dress was too small in the waist and chest area, I only purchased the dress because I was assured More than once that the dress could be altered to fit. when I returned recently to have the alterations done the seamstress explained she couldnt alter the dress in any way that would look decent. I asked to see the Manager so we could explore some options. I had no intention of asking for a refund. The policy was clearly posted and I wanted a dress not money. the manager said no exchanges on sale items and she really wasn't sure what I expected her to do and than told me she had many customers/Brides come in and pick a too Small item and lie to themselves about how much weight they'll lose and than try and return the item. I told her that definitely didn't happen here. I am overweight and did not appreciate her comment! I only purchased the dress because I was promised it could be made to fit me. I take some responsibility for this, I got excited about finding the dress I wanted, I Should have asked to see the Seamstress myself, but I took the sales ladys word that She had spoken to the seamstress and all was ago. the next day the other Manager phoned me offered No appologizies for the situation or the way the other manager spoke to Me. I Was offered to have the dress sold on Consignment (which I'd lose half of what I paid) or I could sell myself (so nice of her to give permission) and come in and pick another dress. I've had to put my wedding on hold and selling the dress this time of year will be very difficult. I Will never Step foot in this store again, and to the manager Who insinuated that I must be unhappy with my weight and wanted to lose weight because I was getting married, You Should Stay away from customers, people like you harm self-esteem and promote a negative body image. I am very comfortable in my own Skin and I'd hate for you to come near anyone who Struggles with body image.

My daughter shopped everywhere for her dream mermaid prom dress. That was until she came to LA Collection where she found 3 dresses to choose from, all the while smiling ear-to-ear. 'The store is huge and there are so many dresses I like', she said. As the store was busy there was a short wait, but the sales lady was very helpful, and due to my daughter's teeny tiny size, the selected dress had to be ordered. Came prom night my daughter couldn't stop giggling in a bright red mermaid dress that kept on sparkling, dazzling and outshining others. It was worth every penny - thank you La Collection.

Myself and the eleven candidates were given the opportunity to go to LA Collection, pick out a dress and borrow it for our big day. Sheryl, the lady who was assisting us was super kind and understanding. When I wanted to switch my dresses (I said yes to a dress too soon), she was able to do it for me. She performed beyond my expectations and made me feel as if I was a real customer! (When all I was doing was borrowing a dress). She helped all six of us into each dress we tried on, which was A LOT by the way and even accommodated the other five with different appointment times when they weren't able to make it. Teagan Stone was super helpful in finding dresses I would like as well as open to suggestions from my wedding party, my mom and I. The selection is awesome and the service is great! The only thing I don't like is that you can't take pictures in the store. I can understand why but this is the only shop I had seen with this rule. It's always nice to take pics to compare with the other dresses you try on but other then that it was a great experience!

My bridesmaid and I stopped by yesterday for a walk in just to window shop because we didn't have an appointment. Tanys immediately welcomed us in and made us feel like we were as welcome as anybody else. When I told her my budget (I wanted to spend under $500), she was immediately extremely helpful, gave us three different sections to shop in, and didn't make me feel like I was wasting her time with my tiny budget. She was honest, beyond helpful, very attentive (even though we were sharing her with another walk in), and made some amazing suggestions. Not only did I find my dream dress, but it was well under budget, beautiful, AND we found the dresses for my bridal party as well. The entire order will be under $1000 and she treated us like we were spending a fortune - a classy, wonderful experience I can't say enough good things about (and commission obviously wasn't her motive, she's just amazing at her job). The store was clean, well stocked, and nobody seemed bothered by my tired 8 month old. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and even more so, I would highly recommend Tanys. She is amazing! A day that could have been stressful and challenging was an absolute dream. Thank you!

Awful experience! I had booked my appointment a month in advance and the day I got there we walked in and signed in. Then the lady’s asked where we were from and told us that we couldn’t be there because the COVID cases were higher then they liked and absolutely refused to serve us ! I was so disappointed and very frustrated! When you go wedding dress shopping i highly recommend Chantal’s , after I called them from being turned away from the total unprofessional ladies at la , the lady I was in the phone with took me in last minute right away! Overall, the store has a large selection of wedding dresses, and I loved lots of them. Absolutely do not let Jaynice ( That's how it was spelt on my card) be your consultant though! Just horrible! Did absolutely nothing to help me into or out of dresses, she didn't help with the trains, and for most of the appointment wasn't even there when I walked out of the room with a dress on. She was completely immature, looked like she was hungover or something from Friday night and ruined my wedding dress shopping experience. Dreadful customer service and I will definitely never go back!

If I could give zero stars I would... horrible experience!! Went wedding dress shopping with my sister in law and the girl basically told her "she was to big to fit in most dresses" gave us only 2 racks in the whole store to choose from of some of the ugliest dresses I've ever seen. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you go about business! Would never recommend this place. And to the lady who likes to judge people look at how you go about in life and realize not everyone is a frickin size 2 like you. It was pathetic!

Poor customer service when faced with an issue. I had an issue with my wedding dress and L.A. Collection took zero responsibility for their ill-advice in size ordering. When shopping there for my wedding gown, I tried on a stock gown which fit me almost perfectly. However, I was advised by the staff that the stock gown was stretched out from having been tried on by others and that based on my measurements I should purchase the size 14. I trusted their recommendation and ordered the size 14, which, in the end, is far too large and has to be altered significantly from top to bottom. I was re-measured by a different staff member at a 2nd fitting who got different measurements (some larger, some smaller) and then told that my body had likely changed and it was my responsibility for the dress size. My body hasn't changed - I'm still wearing all of my other clothing with the same fit. I'm so disappointed that this store takes zero responsibility for the advice they give to their customers - it's upsetting and has caused me added stress in an already stressful time of wedding planning. I understand now that they are not willing to accept any responsibility for their recommendation as supposed experts. I also understand that they are happy to sell customers a dress that's too large for the purpose of charging an exorbitant fee for alterations. Buyer beware and shop elsewhere - this store has no integrity. If you're unlucky enough to have an issue with your purchase they will ignore it and tell you it's your own fault.

My sister and I bought our graduation gowns from your store last winter. The new collection of 2016 dresses had just been released, and we were overwhelmed with all the different options. We had the entire store to ourselves, but not a clue where to start. One of your sales associates, Tanys, took us under her wing. She encouraged us to skim through the racks and pick out 5 dresses that caught our eye. Based on those dresses and our responses to the different styles, she picked out both my sister's and my own dress. She was professional, funny and made us feel extremely comfortable. She reassured us when last minute doubts crept into the room, and truly made the entire experience memorable. When we had to have our dresses altered, your store was nothing but accommodating. We live out of town, and even though you were very busy, you made time to fix our dresses before we left the city. Tanys was there and she remembered us! I showed her the shoes I had just bought, and she pointed out that the gold in the shoes would clash with the silver in my dress. She even gave me her cell number so that I could text her pictures while I was buying different shoes (which I did that same day). She ended up helping me put my entire outfit together! She is truly an amazing women who you are very, very lucky to have. I also included a picture we took with Tanys. Grad dress shopping can be frustrating, but Tanys made sure it was nothing but fun and we’re so happy/grateful to have had her help.

After looking for a grad dress at multiple stores in my area and having no luck, I travelled to Winnipeg from Saskatchewan thinking I might have a better chance of finally finding the perfect dress, despite my loss of hope. I visited LA Collection and my dreams became a reality! Even though the store was very busy, I was greeted, had help picking out dresses to try, and was in a fitting room extremely quickly. The associate helping me was amazing; she gave her honest opinion, knew what styles I preferred, and when I was torn between two dresses she helped me make a confident decision. I picked up my dress in April and it was just as beautiful as I had remembered. Thank you LA Collection, for making me feel like a princess on my grad day!

I had a very bad experience while looking for a grad dress but thought I would give them a chance when it came to looking for a wedding dress. While they did have a large selection, no dresses they had were over a size 10. Staff was a bit pushey & dresses were over priced.

I loved the atmosphere at LA, it is clean and bright and open, and all the displays are eye catching! The moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile, and directed to the front desk to be paired with a sales associate. My associate was attentive but not over bearing and I liked the individual attention I received from her. Being a fuller figured person I did not expect to have such a big selection of dresses to try on! My sales associate was politely honest and helpful in selecting the dresses and I left with a great dress and feeling awesome! Well done LA Collection!

They have some good selection for grad dresses. First visit went pretty good, that’s when they got the cash. When they called a few months later that the dress was ready for pickup, we made a trip back (two hours one way) only to find a lot of the beads were missing. That was a day and four hours of driving and fuel wasted. Second attempt they called and said it was ready again. We asked them to look it over again just to make sure it was all good. This is a $700 dress. I took an afternoon off work and another 4 hours on the road round trip. We just got here and looked it over and still missing some of the beads. All these people see is dollar signs. Now we aren’t leaving the store until the dress is complete. I wouldn’t recommend this place based solely on the customer service. Save your money and frustrations and shop elsewhere. Online would be a better bet.

My experience was a mostly good...the staff that helped was called Jennifer and she is amazing. I found my perfect dress and i love it. It took a little over 6 months to get it but now its here...i would recommend going shopping here early before your wedding. I went 7 months before and i think thats not enough time. It always depends on de designer obviously but just to make sure go early, like 9 months, just in case you need alterations done because that takes 3 weeks here. With my dress i wanted the big satin sash off and they would do it for $50.

They will tell you it's ok if a dress does not fit that they can alter it to fit you...make it a corset. DO NOT LISTEN to them, it will look terrible and the alternation costs will be much higher. My alterations made the dress look terrible. Not to mention they took too much off I paid alot of money for a high low bottom to train length. And did not get it at all. Highly disappointed even after my dress in total cost over 700.00 dollars. never again. That sales woman SHOULD not be advising false promises just to make the sale.

The store has a lot of options for grad an wedding dresses. They keep track of the schools and who has ordered which dress so there are no duplicates. It was busy so we had to wait a while for a fitting room. The staff were helpful and attentive. The dress was ordered in December but won't come in until April or May so that doesn't leave a lot of time before grad to order another if there is a problem or the order doesn't come in for some reason. I plan to phone them regularly to check on the order just to be safe.

They don't allow you to take pictures of dresses you try on. They do have lots of selection. And they have a parking warning for their lot. You will be towed away if you are not a customer.

have been there twice so far, and the first time I went it was awesome the lady I had was super nice and very helpful especially with suggestions for my wedding dress, but for the second time I went I made an appointment, so that I could get a consultant and my bridesmaids and I stood the like a couple lost sheep not knowing what to do because one of the women said "I will put your dress in this dressing room "but not even explaining anything to us or giving us any help or direction I started to get a little bit frustrated because I knew exactly what I wanted and what I wanted to do and I made sure I got an appointment so that it would go smoothly, so we started trying on dresses while not getting help from anyone. I had to ask a girl for help because we needed it and no one was there to help us, and I was talking to my girls saying "I'll go grab a different size in this dress" ( knowing that they had 3 of this particular dress I was looking for) and this random consultant jumps into my conversation which she was not a part of and says "we only have one of each dress" in a rather rude way I might add so I said "okay" ( knowing what I was talking about) and I said to my girls I know there are more I just need to go look for it and this consultant had the urge to sit and stare at me with a rude glare. like I was the one being rude when she had no idea what I was talking about in the first place so she should not have jumped in because if she really wanted to help then she should have been in the first place but instead she was just causing me problems the entire time. But Instead of asking if I need help she sits and glares and me like a child when she should be professional and maybe talk to me like I'm a person. Yea I'm young but maybe treat me like a guest if I'm gonna be treated like this then I will buy my wedding dress elsewhere... All I wanted was bridesmaid dresses and I wanted to try on one dress.. And then I waited another 10 minutes and I still had no help so I asked the lady I had been having problems with, why I wasn't getting help when I made and appointment so that I could have help to find out my consultant called in sick 30 min into my appointment.... I was pretty disappointed. So the lady finally helped me after i pointed this out. And started to be nice. So I have forgiven them for their unpleasant employee. But it doesn't mean I will forget what happened. It doesn't mean I won't shop there but I went in there expecting it to be calm and smooth but instead I spent the first 30 minutes frustrated and annoyed. I get it we have bad days. But I just wish this woman realized just how pissed off I was with her actions. Because it could have been avoided easily. Everything else is great just the one employee ruined the beginning of my trip there all of the others are great and the dresses are fantastic. My first appointment was tons and tons of fun ! I just hope if you go here you catch this employee in a better mood.

Absolute waste of time. When booking the appointment you are given the option to select what style of neckline, length, etc. I was interested in. As well as your budget. I assumed they would have dresses pulled out that fit your style and budget, ready for the appointment. I live all the way in West st Paul so it was very disappointing for me to have driven out there to find no dresses that fit my style description and budget. A call to inform me that there wasn't a dress available would have been nice, to not waste time.

Hello, Thank you so much for being a part of my grad. I LOVED my dress as it was a perfect fit for my body size. It also reflected my culture and I was told that I looked like an Indian Princess! ☺ The dress arrived on time and only minor alterations were required. Once completed I was ready to enjoy our Grad Celebration. Our grad was spread out over 2 nights and we had our Convocation at the Concert Hall and our Dinner & Dance at Club Regent Event Centre. Before our dinner, a number of us rented a limo and took pictures at both Kildonan Park and the Legislative Grounds. We looked great and I felt like a princess! I spent the entire evening in my dress (even when others changed) My dress was comfortable and I partied and danced the whole night away in my princess gown. I bought a tiara there last week. It was just under $200. The person for whom I bought the tiara suddenly passed away. When I called and explained it to “Sharon” she said they could not give me a refund.. It is still in the box it came in. She, Sharon, explained: due to Covid, etc. etc. blah....blah...blah. All stores in Winnipeg accept returns! I am 80 years old and on a fixed income. This is not a place with the right heart.

I had a best experience here in LA COLLECTION. I've been in different bridal store but my experience is very awful. Here, As soon as I walked in together with my bridesmaids, we met Daphne and she greeted us and assisted us right away,. Initially I only booked for my bridesmaid dresses not for my wedding dress as I had no intentions of doing anything because I'm nervous about the entire shopping experience as I'm in a tight budget for a wedding dress. luckily! Daphne told me they're having big sales for wedding gowns. She asked for my budget and showed me some gowns thats in my budget range! She was so amazing! She took her time pulling out dresses and zipping me up, I tried in many dresses until I found the "the one", there was not one point that I felt pressured, or like i was wasting her time. She is very friendly and had a lot of patience with me. She assisted my bridesmaid too! I highly recommended this bridal shop! I walked out with a big smile! I can't wait to wear my perfect dress! Vu, the owner and his wife were also there to assist us and provide awesome service. We felt very welcome and taken care of even though it was only a walk-in and we're only browsing.

Had an appointment for my bride friend here, she had to call multiple times to confirm her appointment as they didn’t return her calls initially. We are from out of town so we showed up 20 min early. We decided to go in as there was no one in the parking lot, to see if we could possibly get 15 extra minutes on the appointment (if not we weren’t going to worry but figured we would ask). We asked if we could come in, and were told to have a seat and someone would come get us in a few moments. There were 5 employees wandering around, looking at us, and one noted that we were early, turned around and walked away. There were ZERO other customers in the store One employee was fixing dresses, all the others were hanging behind the desk. When they finally talked to us again (at 1pm on the dot, so yes, our appointment time, but sitting in silence for 20 minutes while being ignored wasn’t cool) they took us to the back area where our consultant was thankfully friendly. Only the bride was allowed to touch things so it felt pretty crowded trying to support her in choosing dresses, and there were two other people just following us around taking notes as well as the consultant. We weren’t explained that this was their second day until 3/4 of the way through the apt and it was completely awkward being watched like children. Overall the vibe they give off is that they are a status above the rest and that they’re better then you. The dresses are extremely pricey and overall wouldn’t recommend coming back here if you want a casual and comfortable bridal experience.

I have looked all over for a grad dress, none of them were what I was looking for. My last resort was L.A. Collection! There was lots of dresses to choose from and I couldn't decide, right away one of the helpers looked at how puzzled I was and helped me find the one..it was a dress With the beaded sweetheart neckline that made it stand out but not too much. On the day of grad I felt like Cinderella, everyone complementing my dress and how it suited me super well. This picture I picked because my smile was that big that day I never felt as beautiful as I did and it's all thanks to L.A. Collection and their wonderful team.

Overall not an impressive place. Selection is okay. Service is abysmal. There is only one good consultant, Nadine, and everyone else is just rude. I had 2 consultants (one was a manager!!!) basically call me fat to my face. Do not give them a penny unless you are a MILLION PERCENT SURE! If you put a deposit down on ANYTHING, and choose to hang off on ordering it... They still won't give you your money back. They literally have a policy where they don't give you a penny back for ANY reason. and sometimes they MIGHT allow you to put it toward a different product! AWFUL PLACE. I really regret buying my wedding dress here.

I recently got engaged and want to start shopping for dresses. I called the salon to book an appointment to look at dresses with my mom. They asked when the wedding was, I told them, and the response I recieved was "oh, you have lots of time. Start shopping next year." I explained that I want to give myself lots of time and to just begin browsing to figure out what styles I like. Their response was "you can just go on our website to see what dresses we have." I guess they don't want my business!

I purchased my wedding dress here over a year ago, but I still remember receiving excellent service. My group had had bad luck at another bridal salon, so we came here unexpectedly and were immediately treated very well. I described my vision to the sales associate, and she helped us navigate the store for options. The selection was massive! I must have found 15 dresses to try on, and I ended up finding the perfect one. The selection of both styles and prices cannot be beat. Alterations were completed in a timely manner and everything just turned out beautifully. I'd highly recommend this shop to any bride!

When a woman in on a mission to get her dream wedding gown, she wants quality, affordability and extraordinary service. The moment I stepped into L A Collections, I quickly found all three. The store itself is HUGE, as were their selection of wedding dresses. It was a little intimidating with so many options, but the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. My consultant, Tiffany, did a fantastic job of listening to my preferences and procuring dresses that matched. I didn't feel rushed and was well looked after by her; she was very relaxing to work with and you can tell she loves her job. After about 10 dresses, I found the perfect one, and it was not only affordable but high quality. There are quite a few wedding stores out there that have a high price tag and poor quality - you will NOT find that here! My mom cried, my mother-in-law-to-be cried and even Tiffany cried! I doubt you will ever find another store with such passionate employees. I ended up purchasing the floor model, and I am extremely excited for my first fitting alterations tomorrow. Yen, the seamstress, is very knowledgeable and experienced; there is no doubt in my mind that when I walk down the isle, my husband-to-be will be be stunned speechless, as will the rest of our family and friends. Stress free, great quality, affordable and employees felt like family. It is because they exceeded my expectations that I definitely recommend you visit their store. - A very happy customer

Staff were nice and attentive. Lots of selection, although limited in my size for sample dresses to try on, but that's no unusual for most salons. I find samples are often size 8 to 12. Very few above a size 16 to try on. But I will be going back to try on a few more as I felt the lady that assisted me was great at her job and did the best with the sizes available.
