We read positive reviews about Star Charters in a guidebook and decided to go for a sail with them while in Lunenburg one sunny day early in the season. Our guidebook didn't let us down. We had a great time and were able to take photos of Lunenburg from a perspective that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to. My wife said afterwards that is was one of the highlights of our vacation.

It was fine, hard to hear the tour guide at times on the mic. Was a bit scary om some of the turns with the harbour hopper.

This was a great experience during our time in Lunenburg! The staff were so friendly and provided us with great tidbits of the region and history of Lunenburg! The views around the harbour were absolutely breath taking. Would highly recommend for everyone to take part of this adventure.

My wife and I went on a sunset tour with the Eastern Star and it was an overall awesome experience. Captain Keith is very knowledgeable about the boat itself as well as sailing in general. He also has a really fun crew that knows a lot of information about the local area as well. A few other fun things: -Depending on which way the wind is blowing you might need to 'tack', this can make the boat tip heavily to one side which is a really cool/scary experience depending on your boating background. -You can steer the sailboat from the helm if you ask Captain Keith, super cool for younger children, but several adults took a swing at it too. This is something Captain Keith has continued after one insurance company dropped him because they didn't like allowing passengers to steer his boat for him. -We saw a couple of bald eagles hanging out in their trees preparing to go hunting, there are also a lot of chances to see other wildlife depending on the day. -The sunset near Lunenburg is beautiful, you'll have a great view the entire trip. -The captain of this boat is also the owner of this boat. This is very rare in this business so it is pretty cool that you've got the full on owner on the boat with you. Note that the coast guard does have final call on whether passenger boats like this can sail when ti is super windy or when conditions seem dangerous. Given this we did get delayed a full day. All in all an excellent time. I highly recommend it if you get a chance.

First sail for the 2017 season. Captain Keith and his crew did a great job taking us out on the Eastern Star. The weather was great and we had some excellent wind. This sailing trip is highly recommended.

Amazing tour! This was my first sailing tour and is surely memorable one!!! The captain and the lady were well experienced and everyone felt very safe during entire journey. The weather was very good but surprisingly high winds that day so we had experienced extremely high tides and had to cut through those tides to reach the harbour. It was thrilling but once in a lifetime experience on water. Captain showed how to enjoy high tide and many had followed. Sailing boat had been around the world in deep waters, it was hard to believe until I experienced how it survived the high tides that day. Thrilling, but wonderful experience!!

Star Charters did not disappoint...the weather was beautiful and we enjoyed a 2 hr boat ride. The Captain and his crew were amazing the Captain even let us take turns stirring the boat...myself I did not take a turn at that, as I wanted to make sure we got back safely LOL

Amazing boat tour led by an amazing crew, if you are going to lunenburg, or are even around it i would recommend checking them out. I drove up with some family on vacation just as they were prepping to board for the final run of the day, and it was totally worth the trip, they teach you all about local geology, history, local current uses for the port, if you get lucky you just may see some porpoises or other such swimming friends, even stear the ship. They deserve much more then they have and you would absolutely love it this is an experience not to be missed!

This was the most amazing cruise we have ever experienced. The crew, especially skipper, went well above and beyond to please each and every passengers. Especially our kids (5 and 8). Cruises are every 2 hours. With the last one at 6pm. Which we took to meet the sunset. Bathroom is on board. Take snacks, water and wind proof cloths with you. THANK YOU!!! We can’t wait to meet you guys again!!!

I had an amazing time. It was foggy which made the views a bit less but we saw sealife. The crew shared really interesting stories. We got to help steer and sail. It was really fun. The people made it! We had just me and my husband on the boat because noone came so we paid more to get to still go but worth every penny for the intimate and special experience.

Booking was a simple. crew and vessel were great. informative and exciting sail around the local area. great value for the money and my kids 7/9 had as good a time as the adults. definitely a stop to put on your list.

My husband and myself went September,30 a last minute trip. We were so happy we chose to take this charter so relaxed and felt like we were among friends. We were on the last trip out for the night and saw a beautiful sunset. Would recommend this trip to all of my friends.

This was my First time on a sale boat with a HUGE fear of being in open water as I cannot swim and had a terrible experience in open water as a child! The crew as amazing and i felt safe the entire time I was on the water!!!

Captain Willy was amazing. Friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable. He let the kids skipper the boat and spotted some bald eagles for us. Worth every penny for the tour.
