Came out here on the tail end of a Black Friday weekend, and despite the limited selection remaining I was given expert, no-nonsense assistance. An instant 'no you need a short 42' appraisal was followed by a quick finger snap to call over another employee and prompt service. I ended up with a ridiculously ostentatious rich burgundy jacket and a huge smile on my face. Thank you, Tip Top Tailors.

Not the best Tip Top. At least half the store is Big & Tall (it's right on the sign out front), and what there is of other clothing is not a really good selection. The store in Guildford is much better stocked. Came here to buy a suit at the last minute in desperation, and found only one in the entire store that fit me. And even that I had to find myself. Staff did not know their inventory.

I ordered a suit for grad with my dad and the two women who greeted and helped us was great. 2 days before grad I went to pick it up and they only had parts of the suit. The shoes were too small, the vest was too big, etc, and they said it was the suppliers fault. I walked away upset and that made my parents angry. Tip Tops reimbursed us for the vest but I ain’t going back their again. The service was great but receiving the order was unacceptable, especially when we ordered 3-4 weeks before grad.

So my wife and I took my daughter's grad dress to be altered. This dress was purchased brand new. When we took my daughter in with us so the tailor could properly reduce the length by about an inch or so, he immediately started to complain in front of us and the manager about doing it. But took on the job anyway. A week later we picked the dress up and found when we got the dress home, which was covered in plastic, that the zipper area had been torn then tried to cover up the error with a very poor sewing job. Naturally we took the dress back to ask about this and what had happened. The manager naturally "did not know what happened" and he'd ask the tailor when he came in. 3 days later we got a call saying the tailor denied any wrong doing, which of course was a LIE!!! When my daughter and I went to pick the dress back up now for the second time, the manager naturally had left for the day. The tailor who was still there came out and again denied he did the damage. Which understandably would have been an accident. Whether he snagged his watch on it or anything else. Regardless he did the damage. When questioned, you could easily tell he was lying about the matter. The manager who was contacted by phone was now also defending the lie. In the end I insisted on getting my money back for the initial work. Which I got back. And again, this would prove their guilt,as no one would give back money if they hadn't actually did anything wrong. Very poor and shady practices. Would not recommend doing business here.

Evening staff, not very helpful or considerate. The store hours for Saturday, are listed as open until 9:00pm, and I wasn't aware it was actually closed at 6:00pm. Location in Medicine Hat Mall. I've since been in, and my second experience was so much better thank-you ☺️. This store lacks everything. There is no order behind the till and elsewhere. Sure enough our suit rental was forgotten and we are are now without a suit. Bummer! Big corporate is saving on employees. One guy is running the entire place and he has no training. He simply forgot to put in the order or someone else did. Do not trust them. An event ruined by a total lack of order.

Decent selection - not the best price - defiantly not the best men's wear store in Medicine Hat - and in a horrible location (a lack lustre mall with a high vacancy rate). Much easier to enter Moore's Clothing for on par prices and selection . Labels for men and Deli Rossi are much better shopping experiences.

I had Teresa as my suit advisor a few days ago and she was fantastic! She really walked me through all the terms and how to know my sizing and what colors work well together. She advised us which items were on sale and expanded my comfort level a lot from what I am usually thinking about wearing. I'd highly recommend her!

Went in recently to buy an entire wardrobe. The person working did not approach me or ask me how he could help. I am very uncomfortable in the realm of dress ware and when I asked for assistance I was told bluntly "We don't do that". He expected me to pick things off the shelf and buy them sight unseen, I was the only person in the store and I left even though there were some shirts that caught my eye. I went to Moores and was promptly greeted and the employee was wonderful. We discussed what I was looking for and he helped me select a full wardrobe. He had me try on multiple sizes of each shirt and pants to find the best fit which I appreciated as it takes time to unpin and put back the clothes I didn't buy. He also explained a bunch of things that I am sure are common knowledge to others like how to oil/maintain my shoes.

I've had extensive experience at this store over the years and while nobody is perfect all the time, I've seen the work that goes into how they keep the store tidy and merchandised just right. The manager, I've learned, literally has decades of experience working in menswear. You can go into any store in MH and bully the staff into thinking the 'customer is always right' but it is honestly refreshing to walk into a store knowing that I might actually learn something new from the person who is after all, supposed to be the professional in the room. Through observation and personal experience, I know that most negative reviews are probably just some small person (not physically mind you; spiritually, mentally) who was equally at fault. Like the person complaining that "oh I thought the store closed at this time but it actually closed at that time". Really? What a charmed life you must lead to complain of such "problems". Or the gem about "I walk in and the staff are on their phones". How long can you stand, doing nothing without looking at your phone? An hour? Two hours? Yeah, probably five minutes, ten tops. "Well if you've got time to lean you've got time to clean!" you might say. Perhaps, but the store is likely already clean and the staff shouldn't be subjected to punitive and arbitrary cleaning because there are no customers in it at all times. These super-negative retail experiences are simply not that common. Even more uncommon are genuine positive experiences. It is these positive experiences that will keep me coming back to Tip Top. Anyways, rant over. I ought to dock a star from my rating however due to that poorly managed mall they are in.

I called to ask about measurement because my brother is getting married In Ontario. He is arranging the suits but obviously needs measurements. He immediately said oh yes if you buy suits at tip top. I said no but I will pay for a measurement. He no no every store has different requirements ..bye bye. I called Moore's and the very nice lady said no problem, no charge, it doesn't matter if you buy here. It's just a service that Moore's offers. Guess where I will buy my next suit.

Difficult to find light weight pants with 56" waists to fit me so my wife started phoning around. The lady she spoke to at Tip Top said she had 2 pairs so we headed down. She had put the 2 pair aside. They fit great so we bought them both and had them hemmed. Price was excellent. Ready on time. We are 100% pleased with everything.

I showed up right at opening with a simple request: "I have to be at a wedding in Abbotsford in 45 minutes, and I have nothing to wear" Not only did they find me a wonderful outfit, which happened to be on 50% off, but they find a wonderful second one too. It was a rush, but I left lookin pretty good, and quick enough that I made it to the wedding on time. 10/10 customer service.

Ordered a suit for a wedding through the store manager Waqas Rashid and they forgot to order it even though i paid 100% upfront. I called multiple times in advance asking where it and was told he would call me back. 2 days before the wedding they admitted they forgot to order it but it will be at the store at 8am i took the day off work to get it but the Waqas never showed up so another employee did he best to help me out. But the manager Waqas never rush ordered my suit. Just regular 1 day mail which ended up being around 4 in the afternoon, Which made me late for the rehearsal at 530, 2 hours away. I compalined directly to the store manager asking for my money back, but again he said he needs to call me back because the owner Al needs to decide. Ive spoken to Waqas twice on the phone about my refund and he always says he will call me right back and hangs up on me.

Went in for rental measurements in June for a wedding in August. They were supposed to be forwarded to Nanaimo. 6 weeks later I was informed by Nanaimo that they were never sent. I went back in to get remeasured and was informed by the two employees that neither of them were trained to take measurements. This location is very poorly managed and their staff are poorly trained, how can you work at a menswear store/tailor and not be trained to measure? That seems like day 1 orientation stuff, and losing/not forwarding my measurements for 6 weeks is unbelievably unprofessional. I ended up having to get measured at Guildford Tip Top (where the service was much better). I will not be returning to this store in the future I will use Guildford Tip Top or Moores.

Just had the best experience buying a suit for our son for his grad. We walked in and were greeted pretty quickly. The associate mike, asked if we just wanted to look around first or did we need his assistance right away. I loved that because he wasn’t pushy at all but willing to help if needed. He got an idea of what he thought our son would like and got him to try it on. He was very helpful and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed his customer service. And we bought the suit! I'd like to say that the experience was great but it was anything but that. Myself, my fiance and another couple went there last Saturday looking to buy two suits for our upcoming wedding this June. After a not so warm welcome the sales associate did try her best to help us find suits for our guys, however, afte she quoted the wrong prices and picked out the wrong free ties the suits ended up costing $426 dollars instead of about the $100 less we were originally told. The debit/visa machine was down so the gentleman at the counter had to manually process the payments for our visa, this was where it got truly painful. He had to write out everything on a piece of paper, add the 'free' shirt and tie on, then subtract it all off, add on all the fees for the different alterations because trust me they don't do anything for free then he had to call visa to get an authorization, keep in mind all of this is happening and this man cannot raise his voice to a volume above a low whisper. Anyway, we got it done and were told to come back up this Saturday for the next fitting, and away we went. WELL you can imagine my surprise when on Tuesday two pending charges showed up on my visa for the one suit I bought, I phone Tip Top Tailors and I was assured by the same man that processed the transaction that it would reversed immediately, sadly this is not the case, it has been charged once and I still have the other charge pending. So I cannot wait to go up this Saturday to see what they are going to do for us as this whole experience has been anyting but TIP TOP!

They always have 2-3 sales working but not working. They are standing around on their cell phone or staring into space every time you walk into the store. I’m glad customer service used to be a 8 now it’s like a 2. People only work for a pay check.

Came in 5 hours before a wedding I had to go to. I dont know the name of the young guy helping me but he took my measurements and found me a suit that fit, got pants altered, shirt pressed and even tied my tie for me. These other folks must have a stick up their ass because I saw all sale associates out on the floor willing to help. If youre complaining about it being big and tall well thats silly because it says that's what it is on the damn sign. Keep up the good work guys!

Had gone to look in the store in the past and had no issues. However when I went earlier in there today to buy a new coat, immediately someone came over to "help" and asked what he could do for us. He pointed me in the right direction however he was really rude and condescending that I just decided to leave the store instead of purchasing or deciding on a coat. I have never at any store felt the need to leave due to customer service. Real shame since clothes are good quality and nice.

We were in Prince George to do some suit shopping for a friend's upcoming wedding. We had been to one other store before going to Tip Top and the customer services there was terrible. We were pretty much ignored for the 1/2 hour we were in the store. We walked in to Tip Top and in the first 5 mins of our visit there the staff knew more about the wedding then the other place in the entire time we were there. The service and attention was top notch and our rather large party walked out with the suits they wanted plus a leather jacket. After some discussion some of the guys went back to do a couple of adjustments to the order and were equally as pleased with the service. I am so sorry at this point that I can't remember the name of the gentleman that served us but I will highly recommend them to everyone who needs a suit in the future.

I rented suits here for my wedding. The suits were a day late arriving to the store and while trying to get more information from the store manager Mark I was given nothing but attitude. I informed Mark I needed the suits for 12 noon as I was leaving town to set up for my wedding and not returning. The suits arrived at 11 and didn’t fit so they required alterations. When I told Mark this was a problem he said “calm down it’s not a crisis” and told me they’d have them altered by 3pm after I had told him I was not going to be around after 12pm. The suits ended up taking until 5pm to get altered and only then did Mark call me and apologize for the delay at which point he offered to buy me lunch, at 5pm, after I told him multiple times I was out of town for my wedding. Long story short this was the worst service I’ve ever received and I’ll never return to tip-top again.
