Here we offer you the reviews of real people who have information of the services and products of Once Upon A Child Langley (Costumes) in Langley (Canada).
Right now this business has a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is good, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Costumes is included in the category of Children's clothing store.
Edit: Amazing customer service. I was able to exchange everything. Hopefully this doesn't happen too often to people. …
I love this store it's very organized! Great way to save money on kids clothes!
Go to place for clothes for the little one. They grow out of stuff so quickly and this place has good quality genyly used stuff that keeps the budget in check.
Absolutely awesome place to find second hand children's clothes and toys. Because it's a second hand goods shop, the selection changes constantly, so it's best to come once a week or so and grab any great deals you see rather than wait …
Great store. There's a section to let your little ones play while you browse. All the clothes are in great condition and the employees are helpful. I've sold clothes to them as well and have always had a nice experience. They are picky, but that makes sense since you buy quality items. Bonus, there's a clean, child friendly washroom!
** CAUTION** they’ll stick you with damaged/missing pieces and pretend it’s completely acceptable.. Never will I shop here again! I bought a Melissa and Doug calendar, turns out it was missing a couple of days of the week as well as the month of September. When I went to return it, i was told that it’s perfectly acceptable to be missing pieces because it’s used, and currently unusable???? They would only give me store credit because it was passed 7 days. Don’t waste your $ here
This is a go-to place for us. A great selection of clothes and toys.
Customer service needs improvement. The South Surrey and Coquitlam one had amazing customer services so I assumed this one would too but I was wrong.. pretty disappointed..glad we have more options to go.
The idea of recycling old clothes is amazing and their prices used to be very reasonable at one point. Over the years their sales have become a joke and used clothing cost is getting up there. Nearly as much as buying new.
The better OUAC for girl's size 14/16 clothing because the also sell women's size xs-s clothing and put it under that category. I was able to find a nwt (women's 26 ) pair of citizens of humanity jeans for $5.50. Unfortunately for my 6 yr old son, they had 0 pairs of jeans and very few of any kinds of pants.
If you're looking for great bargains on children's clothing, this is THE best place to find them! They also have shoes, boots, toys, strollers and baby cuddle seats to name just a few other items at really great prices. Everything is gently used and in nice condition.
Updated: Terrible customer service and terrible return policy. Bought a product which was missing a key part, when we tried returning, we were told we can't get a refund, only store credit (even though they clearly didn't inspect the product). Frustrating to say the least. Worst part is that the store credit is in my husband's name and their policy is that only he can use it. I called to see if there's any way to work around that, but apparently it's their policy and they can't help me. South Surrey store on the other hand, has great customer service, the staff go above and beyond. I'm not aware of any resolution - as per response from the store owner. I suggested to provide a photo of my husband's ID, which wasn't acceptable. Then I asked if your staff could email me photos of a product I was looking for (So I could choose and my husband could go pick it up), but apparently that's also not a service you offer. In the end, I bought what I needed at the South Surrey store, but the store credit is only good at your location, so not likely I'll be redeeming it any time soon as your location is too far for us to make two trips.
These guys are a joke! They turn me down on a whole bag of lightly used baby clothes last time. I recently found some baby toys I want to get rid of quickly. So I decided to give them another shot. My decision was wrong! I've an exersaurcer, booster chair and bouncer that they ask me to bring it in for evaluation. As I walk with hand full of things and lay them out so they can inspect it. The next thing I was ask to set everything up before they can evaluate. Fine! Took me few mins to set everything up while I keep my kid in sight. Turns out due to lack of warning labels and being too "old" they won't accept anything! I know the stuff I'm selling are top shape before I pass it on so I won't embarrasse myself. Also I'm sure they can let me know if there are things missing (aka warning lables) before I've to set everything up and take it down once again. I'm done with them! Worse experience ever!
it took me so long to find the dress for my little girl, i like it m hope to get a little bit more help next tiem
Such a great place to go for my newborn grandson..love the prices an considering kids grow out of clothes so fast I'll be a steady customer for sure..I wish they had this kind of store when my kids was born
Great place to trade old used kids clothing. We can even refuse to sell if you feel that quote doesn't do justice . Friendly staff. Just to mention that they only take items in perfect condition. No rips and tears are accepted. I had to …
Abbotsford and other locations are definitely better. The staff sit there and chat while you’re waiting to be helped. My mom went in a few months ago and was waiting in line to pay for her clothing, and the staff were sitting there video taping themselves while they entered stuff into the system for social media, instead of helping the line of customers. My mom is the sweetest woman in the world and asked politely when they would be done to help her and an employee was snarky to her and told her they are doing their job. Sure if they need to post stuff for social media, I get that, but help your in store customers first. Customer service is not good here. Go to a different location, no point in wasting your time. My sister also had a horrible experience with their customer service. This location is the worst of them all.
I was selling some baby furniture and toys to Once Upon Child Langley today. I had to run back and forth a few times to my car because I had some large items. One was a pack n play and I've never been able to set them up myself, but the co-worker helped me set it up. They answered all the questions I had as well. The staff was very polite, helpful and friendly.
I bought a children's umbrella at this store and used it once before it broke. I returned to the store with the receipt and the broken umbrella and was told I could not return it. The quality of the goods is not good, the price is not cheap, only bought five days after the broken, I will not go to this shop again!
I bought some items from the store including shoes on a Saturday. I made sure to ask about the return policy on the shoes as I was not sure they will fit my kiddos. I was told I could return them as they were not sale items. I was told I will get a full refund if I returned any of the items (not on sale) within 7 days with tags and receipt with me. I brought back two pairs of shoes (out of over 20 items that I purchased, only 3 of those were sale items excluding the items I was returning). I had the tags, the shoes and my receipt but was informed they won't refund my money because I have broken the rubber rope tie they had used to attach the shoes, they were not elastic and I don't understand how kids would have been able to try them with the shoes still tied together. I myself had gotten clothes off their racks that did not have tags on and had the cashier put a tag on it in my presence so I know attaching the tag wasn't such a chore that would warrant an unchangeable law by the store. They refused giving a store credit in lieu of the mat paid too. I asked to understand the rationale behind this as I had everything that would show those were the exact items I bought and was returning but all I got was 'it's just a store policy that we can't go back on.' I have donated the shoes to you as a parting gift. I would usually bring my mum here and she has spent good money in your store as I have time and again but I'm happy more than happy to take my token elsewhere henceforth, y'all can enjoy the shoes and MY twenty bucks!
First time in the store and I was amazed at how full the store was and the value for what we bought my daughter was amazing. We will be back. I have seen comments about the staff and not being friendly I truly had the opposite experience. The young lady who served us at cash was very friendly .
The management and workers here are a joke. Once upon a child owners/upper level management, it should be of concern to you that the last 4 reviews on your Langley store within the past 5months have been 1 star reviews with detailed complaints. It should concern you even more that all the responses have been shifting of blame FROM the staff to the customer. I went here to have a box of clothes quoted, a worker named Emily I believe told me at 5pm that it would be approximately 1hr. I left and sat in a parking lot with my 2 month old and patiently waited 1hr. At 6pm I returned and the same worker that told me one hour said it would be another 30mins. When I told her that I had a newborn with me and that they should really be better with their estimates of time, she shrugged it off literally without even making eye contact with me. Couldn’t have cared less and asked if I’d rather just take the clothes back to which I said yes. After about 5minutes I decided that I’d have to just wait the 30mins since I didn’t have storage for the box of clothes, this was at 6:10pm. So my quote should have been ready at 6:40pm right? According to Emily. I didn’t receive my quote until 7:40pm! 7:40! This store closes at 8pm and they have the audacity to tell me it’ll be ready in 1hr and then 30mins and then not have it ready for almost 3hrs and tell me at 7:40 that I need to pick it up by 8pm that night. IS THIS A JOKE!?!? get your management together Once Upon A Child. Instead of hiring immature, inept 18yr olds to manage you store, try hiring someone with some courtesy, and common sense. Both go a LONG way.
This is a great option for getting children's clothing etc... at a reduced rate. Only con is you don't get very much for bringing in your used clothes. Since they have a huge store and staff to maintain I suppose it's fair. Would def. …
Went there for the first time today and we enjoyed it alot. The cashier Penny was incredibly nice and professional. The other lady who worked seemed like she hated her job . I smiled at her and she gave me the death stare , but I get it I …
Unpleasant staff, hire better people. Won’t be going back here because of this. The last few reviews on here and have stated problems with staff, maybe it’s something management should look into. Your staff isn’t paying money out of their own pocket for the items customers are selling, they shouldn’t act like it.
What a joke to sell the kids clothes. I took a big bin of clothes and was told to wait for an hour and a half and I will get a message that they have gone through the stuff. 2 hours later I go in and they tell me the clothes were damp, they have an overstock, and there was staining and piling on majority of the clothing. So all reasons given for the clothing when some were brand new clothes with tags on. Waiting and being bumped ahead was not an issue nor did I ask for that. I am saying that all clothes were returned without a reasonable explanation. I doubt that anyone even checked the clothes I left.
I find their selection of baby boy clothes to be better than most children’s clothing stores! Older boy’s clothes- not so much but that just has to do with what people are bringing in to sell. …
Edit to review: I wasn’t trying to sell anything. I was a someone trying to shop. So the reply on this review is absurd. …
This is a great store to get gently used items for your little ones. They have everything from clothes, toys, footwear, even play pens and jumpers! I see some of the reviews complain about the time it takes at checkout. I was there the …
This store is packed. So many clothes. The prices are fair and the clothes are pretty damn good. I also like that they will give money or trade in credit for old clothes. The reason I gave 4 stars is that it is a super small space with so much stuff so you can't walk down an aisle with a stroller and not take up the whole aisle.
