When purchasing a bridesmaid from this store off the rack the employee did not make the return policy clear. She simply stated to sign that you understand and this is an off the rack purchase. The week following when wanting to return the unaltered off the rack dress the store manager said it was not possible, and that the employee stated at the time of purchase that it was final sale. This statement was untrue and delivered in an impertinent manner. This policy would be deemed reasonable for a special order or altered dress, but for an off the rack purchase seems extreme and unwarranted.

I had the most amazing time at Everything But The Groom looking for my wedding dress. Marcy was fabulous, and I ended up saying yes to the first dress I tried on. I did go to a store after this one, and didn't have nearly as good of an experience. Everyone on the staff who I have interacted with was so lovely. They do a great job of carrying all different sizes, which I think should be appreciated by everyone, as unfortunately this is pretty rare. Thank you SO MUCH EBTG for making my wedding dress shopping experience AMAZING.

We went bridesmaids dress shopping and I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed in the selection of dresses they had available to try on for anyone past a size 12. If you are plus size then you will have basically 2 different versions of the same dress to try on. After my last shopping trip there I would say unless you want the most basic chiffon dress, this place is not size inclusive if you want a true shopping experience. Our statement that there is not a lot of variety offered was acknowledged, to which the reply was they just receive boxes of dresses and have no say in any of the style or sizes. This place has a great selection of dresses I just wish we could have tried them on. After the disappointing experience at EBTG, we went to a nearby bridal shop on a whim and they had a huge variety of styles and sizes and we found our dresses.

I had a great experience purchasing and having my wedding dress altered at Everything but the Groom. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a large selection of dresses and the dresses were reasonably priced I purchased a dress with a really long train and later decided to have it shortened. I was nervous about how it would turn out but the seamstress did such an amazing job, you couldn't even tell it had been altered and it was exactly what I wanted! I would definitely recommend this bridal shop to anyone looking for wedding or bridesmaids dresses.

The woman who was helping me with my wedding dress (Tara) assistant manager- was the most delightful, helpful, knowledgeable and enjoyable person to be around. My daughter and her best friend had a wonderful experience picking out their grad dresses with you in September 2020. You did a great job narrowing down their choices until they each had their favourites. Thank you for making the experience so special. Went in looking for a bridesmaid dress and loved the options that were brought out. The employees all make it a fun atmosphere and helped me find a beautiful dress. Each dress was clipped so you could see how it really fits when its altered and that helped pick which dress flattered me best.

I went for my first time to this store yesterday for early grad dress shopping. It was such an amazing experience looking through all the dresses and picking my favourites to try on. The rooms to try on were spacious and had plenty of places to sit and view your dress in the large mirrors. I was helped by Olivia who was so sweet and encouraging. She really took the time to make you feel special in your dress. I tried on my top four before she went out to look for more dresses that fit my style. After about three dresses, I tried on the one that was so right for me! I ended up buying it right when I got home. Overall, I had a great time shopping in this store. The ladies there are so kind and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be going back in the future!

I would give this shop 10 stars if I could! First of all, I won $1000 from a contest for a wedding dress at their store! I picked out a dress that I liked and when I came back to order it Demi told me that she saw a dress earlier that day that was perfect for me and wanted me to try it on instead. THIS WAS THE DRESS! I immediately fell in love and it actually cost less than the original dress I chose. I got so many compliments on my Wedding day, I felt so beautiful and it was all thanks to Demi's keen eye. She found dresses for me that matched my price range and style, and encouraged me to try on a few more styles. Once we arrived at Everything But The Groom, we were greeted right away by the sweetest employee, Daniella. I called this store a couple weeks before we were heading to Vancouver to see if they would have any dresses in my daughter's size and style she wanted, and Daniella assured me that they had plenty. She also guided me over the phone on how to get my daughter's measurements, and she was very helpful and patient. Daniella was so helpful in choosing dresses in the style that my daughter described. We told her that we had some more shops to look at, as we were only in Vancouver for one night. Instead of her pushing the dresses that my daughter had tried on, she suggested a couple shops to look at that we might have success in finding a dress. Daniella did not push anything on us and was very personable. Sadly, we did not find my daughter’s dream dress at Everything But the Groom, but I highly recommend going there. They treat you respectfully and care about you and what you are looking for. This shop has amazing staff, tons of dresses (in plus sizes too), and has great energy. They have a large selection of wedding dresses in a broad variety of styles. They had a lot of awesome “boho” style dresses. Decent prices. Definitely recommend this shop!

There are wonderful people working here and they have beautiful bridal dresses! I had called in twice and both times the woman on the phone was very nice and helpful. For my consultation, I was lucky to have Tara! This was the one appointment I attended by myself, as they were closed for a private event the weekend my friends and mother were going with me. It didn't matter! Tara felt like an old friend and was absolutely fantastic to work with. I ended up finding my dress elsewhere, but I will not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone!

I had an amazing experience getting my wedding dress from Everything But The Groom! I had already been to their store when my best friend got her dress and the wonderful Tara helped her, so I'd hoped that Tara would be my consultant too (and not just because we share the same awesome name) and to my luck she was my consultant! Her energy is infectious and she helped me say "yes" to the dress!!! She made the moment feel extra special! When my dress was ready to take home, the seamstress insisted I keep it with them to steam it before the big day, so not only did they store it for me until right before the wedding but they steamed it so it was perfect and ready to go! I originally went with EBTG as the staff was super friendly and had spoken highly about their amazing seamstresses. The 2 bridal stylist and the seamstress herself reassured that the dress was super simple to alter and only needs 1-2 fittings. Before buying the dress, 2 different bridal stylist reassured me that off the rack dresses are cleaned and detailed as if they are new. Heidi the owner was very dismissive during the whole process each time I tried to voice my concerns about the alterations. She also said they do not clean off the rack dresses, you get what you buy. Unfortunately, it took 5 fittings, 2 different seamstress (one seamstress had to fix the poorly done alterations on the dress) Yvonne truly tried to save the day; she listened to my concerns and did everything in her power to resolve the situation. During what I thought to be the last fitting, I was in the shop for over 5hours trying to fix the dress. At one point, Yvonne was guiding the seamstress, as she was clueless in how to fix the dress! When the initial seamstress just left the store, Yvonne called in a different seamstress to fix the issues. I am disappointed as Heidi never apologized or acknowledge any issues when I left the shop. Unfortunately, due to a super quick last minute alterations, on my wedding day one of the side seams was coming apart, I had to safety pin it in place and kept tucking in the loose fabric. Disclaimer: I changed my original dress as initially I was told I would need 3-4 fittings to get the alteration I wanted done on the dress. Within 10 minutes from leaving the shop I had called back to get a refund as I realized it wouldn't be feasible to go from Vancouver to Langley for 3-4 dress fittings. I was never told of the non-refund/return policy in person, was told over the phone it was in the fine print of the contract. The dress was also off the rack, unaltered and still in the store. I had asked for a refund within 10 minutes from buying the dress!!! Pros: beautiful dress, reasonably priced Cons: poor seamstresses, staff gives false promises, poor customer service from the owner
