We came in for balloons and while waiting the owners (?) were giving us dirty looks and being very unwelcoming because our toddler son was handling some of the items. It's a party store for kids birthdays, of course kids are going to touch things! I would understand if he damaged or misplaced merchandise, but we were right beside him making sure he was respectful. We'll go to Party City next time, much more inviting atmosphere

Lots of selection but they have almost a 0 return policy (except unopened dinnerwear) and I don't feel this policy is adequately posted around the store and the associate who checked me out did not mention it. So if you're buying something here be sure you want it 100%

Very unpleasant experience, booked in advance, but one of the staff members treated us disrespectfully and our items were damaged apparently before the date we booked and we did not get any notice. The staff treated it as if the damage was insignificant. Naturally we decided not to take a damaged item, yet we were treated disrespectfully on our way out for making that decision.

They always make me a fantastic balloon bouquet when we are celebrating a birthday. The bouquet lasts for much much longer than promised, the picture below shows the bouquet almost 2 weeks out and it's still holding up well! Also lots of decorations and colour choices for your party decor needs. I never go anywhere else in town.

Horrible customer service and return policy. I was not made aware at purchase that ONLY unopened dinnerware can be returned. Owner would not take back unopened decorations and party favors. These items were purchased the day before and nothing was opened. The owner claimed that she told me about the policy when she did not. She then said that the policy is written at bottom of receipt which is sneaky. It after the the sale so even if I had read bottom of receipt it would have been after the sale. No clear signs around store either about policy. The fact that she lied to me and said that she informed me made me very upset. She handled the whole situation unprofessionally. I told her they have lost my business and she shrugged me off and said ok.

The staff was extreamly unhelpful, the store is over crowed and not very clean. Had to wait a very long time to get anyone to come over and fill ballons for me. once theyb finally did come they stopped half way to fill ballons for a friend of theres and i was once again left waitting.

Horrible customer service, rude management and overpriced items. They said they needed a credit card on file to place a balloon order and would confirm the total and call us back with the full charge. They proceeded to charge the card right away without confirming the order and/or the total cost days before we even needed the balloons. Overcharged us and then wouldn't offer a refund for items we didn't want because they said all sales are final. Will NEVER shop here again. Party City is much more professional than this circus of a store. Our over priced order was not even correct. I didn't think like 10 balloons was hard to figure out. These people are crooks.

Great experience at VPS! They have everything that's on-trend that I needed for my event. Chalkboard signs and paper banners. They've got a huge balloon selection, and their last much longer than anywhere else I've bought from. Owner's mentioned they're opening a flower shop soon, can't wait for that.

Overcrowded. Messy. Yes, they have a ton of stuff. But if you drive 10 mins to Party City on Fairway Road, you will have a much more pleasant shopping experience with even more selection.

Very Very Upset. In July I spent $121.00 on party supply's. Was in a hurry and didn't double check prices, but when I got home I realized I paid $39.97 for a large red bow. No thank you. I see their receipts said due to covid no returns at this time. Totally fine. Except that now stores are open to full capacity and every store is accepting returns. The owner stated that it's when they decide it's safe. Ok cool. Then she says that they wont honour any returns from anything purchased during Covid. So basically you are stuck with the product regardless if they open for returns again. That is a complete scam. I'm taking this time to write this because I think buyers should be aware of this. That's very a very bad business ethic for a small business. I guess they are not concerned with losing customers.

Super staff! Helpful and honest. Was recalled to the counter as the clerk caught a discrepancy. I was over charged and did not not notice but he insisted I be refunded or given products to balance. Mind you it was just $2.29 so I really didn't mind but the staff was super honest. Bought a large balloon bouquet for a birthday and they made sure it was perfect.

Overly inflated price for everything, some of the staff does not know how to process a return. I went back to return an unopened table cloth, and instead of returning the money back they have debited the money, when I realized that after a few days, i called them and the lady at the store was rude, i had to call them multiple times to look into the matter and she kept saying she is super busy and has other work to do apart from looking into this issue, at last after 5 days she agreed to process the return and asked me to visit the store, they could not send cheque to my address. when I visited the store I was asked to wait so that she can address other customer who were buying stuff and came even after me. I would rather order stuff online or goto a dallar store instead from next time

Tried to order balloons here for an event, honestly just extremely unprofessional and rude during the whole experience. Asked about how much delivery fee would be and they were hesitant to say and asked why? Found out through a friend that he was charged $50 for delivery and wasn’t made aware of the pricing until they got to the venue and demanded payment.

The owners of this store are absolute garbage. They are disrespectful to their customers and the 2 staff members they have. The women who owns the place tells her employees to shut up and I’ve witness her hit one of them, so unless you support workplace abuse I wouldn’t waste your money and service here. I know someone who worked here and they never got a proper schedule and they were never aloud to go on break while working there. I’m thinking we should go the labor board and shut this place down. No one will miss it anyways.

Lots of selection but not a good experience. I went in to fill one balloon I had purchased elsewhere for my son's first birthday. When I realized I forgot my wallet and told them I'd be back to grab it in half an hour, I was made to feel like a criminal. Lots of warning about them needing to keep the balloon "hostage", and needing to pay regardless of if I returned. I returned to pay and pick up my balloon and was greeted with more patronizing comments. It costs $10 to fill one foil balloon, which seems steep, but I'd be fine with it if it came with good service. I will not be returning.

Tons of stuff. Didn't have what we were looking for but it we were looking for something very specific. There's lots of great items for all sorts of occasions. Birthday, graduations, retirements, etc. The aisles can be tight but it's just because there's so much to purchase.

My husband and I were looking for balloons for my daughters 13th Birthday. We tried other places and they didn't have anything we wanted. We called the Victoria Party Store and we found everything we wanted. We also got a sign for the lawn but I wanted to show she was 13. We didn't know they rented out numbers. They helped us with that. The lady we delt with was very helpful with everything. She did an amazing job with the balls we ordered. We got my daughter Hairy Potter balloons and a 1 and a 3 in gold with red and yellow balloons. She made 3 bouquets and they are all still standing and it has been 2 weeks now. I can't seem to post the pictures but they look great. My daughter was very happy. I have been telling all my friends and family. I highly recommend this store.

Truly the poorest display of customer service I have witnessed. They harassed a family of black customers threatening them with police action if they didn't leave. Their crime asking to count items before signing rental agreement. I honestly left in disgust. Shocking that the BBB gave them accreditation. Highly recommend taking your business elsewhere as I did, Kitchener residences.

Staff is not helpful at all. Bought a couple items one item we found was not the right shade of purple when we got home and saw it in good lighting. Brought it back the next day unopened to find out no returns on items except tableware's. Return policy needs communicated better. Won't be shopping here again.

I should have read the reviews before I let my Mom order. We ordered balloons for my sisters birthday and not even 2 minutes after I left, they were losing air. My car was room temperature, no different than what it would have been inside my house. When I got home, I had maybe 7 balloons left that we could save. The lady on the phone told me that it was my fault and everything was fine this morning when she blew them up. She told me this has never happened before, but that’s not what the reviews say. She told me she doesn’t believe in reviews, not sure what that means, but I do. I don’t think I’ll be returning. I went to another store and got the balloons replaced. Amazing quality!

Bought a few letter balloons, the ones you self inflate. 2 of them seemed to have a hole in them.. we tried to fix it with tape but they let air out still and you could tell they were deflating. I went back to exchange them but the lady was really unhelpful and said there's nothing they can do so I bought new ones as I needed them for an event. Tired to support a local smaller store but not coming back here again. I'll go to Party City as they have better customer service.. never had an issue returning a defective balloon there.

I had purchased a 9 balloon bouquet at this location for a surprise party tonight. Initially it was beautiful, the young lady packed it into a bag and told me to turn the heat off in the car until I got home. As I was driving home one popped, but I did not go back as i had to get back to work and didn't think one missing balloon was a big deal. I got it home and immediately unpacked it and left it in the house. Less than a few hours a family member called me at work to let me know that the bouquet of balloons are popping. As mentioned earlier it was for a birthday party tonight so I made a phone call to the store and explained to them what had happened and see if they could make a new one provided I had the pictures. The lady on the phone was very rude and unpleasant to speak with. Her response to my concern was that she had NEVER heard of this happening before. Really? So I'm just going to buy balloons and then pop them myself and call and complain? She didn't offer a solution and finally concluded that the only thing she can do is refund me for the popped balloons and that I had to bring the broken pieces of balloons back to her. It was obvious that it was not possible for me to go back and forth and the party was to start. So I decided I will never come back here again and the service was horrible !

The service from the two younger women that were working while I was here was great - very friendly. Selection is enormous for party supplies but if the prices were any steeper I think I would need spikes on my shoes. 15 dollars to fill up 3 regular sized NON SPECIALIZED balloons is absolutely nuts. I probably won't be back and will purchase from Amazon unfortunately. Would have been nice to shop locally. Bright side, the balloons haven't popped yet and it's been a while.

It is very expensive place and the staff is really bad. I specifically asked about return policy before purchasing and I was told all the tableware could be returned. When I went to return after 3 days I was told that it was from discontinued lot and they wouldn’t return it.

Purchased decorations from here and at checkout I mentioned that I was not sure on some of the decorations. I asked the 2 girls who were checking me out if I could return them and was told yes within 10 days except for the napkins which were final sale. Came back 5 days later to return a couple of the decorations and baby shower card game and was told I cannot return any of it. I mentioned that I was told by their employees that I could within 10 days and all the girl said was sorry she was wrong. It was unopened and could just be put back on the shelf. If I would have known this was the case I wouldn't have bought the extra decorations but since I was told I could return it, it was the only reason why I did. Very disappointed and will not shop here again.

Unprofessional, rude and threatened to call the police! My party planner and I ordered 60 sets of plates and utensils for a surprise party. When I returned with my cousins two days later, I expressed that I was disappointed that they didn’t set aside the large order. The primary issues started when we asked to count the items to verify quantities before signing off for them. Krishna, the sales girl became flustered and we found that they were short on the items when the manager came out and insisted quite bluntly that I needed to sign the rental contract. When I stated I could not until we got the actual number of items on the invoice as we would be charged for these on return. The manager, got the owner on the phone and she, “Told us she didn't want our business and to leave” and they would return our money. At this point several clients were leaving, the manager and Krishna became expressly aggressive and threatened to call the Police, even though we were actually leaving. CRAZY!!! I was happy to give my money to another business. My advice: Take your money elsewhere! When you are forced to sign a contract based without having all the items, WATCH OUT! They will charge you for an ENTIRE set when you return.

Ordered balloons in December for my daughter's birthday, foil balloons I ended up popping at the end of March and latex balloons lasted until February (not flying put still full). Great helpful service. Used them 2 times now for work events. Ordered 7 balloon bouquets and they where beautiful. Nice large full balloons that lasted outside all day in the extreme heat. The ones we had indoors are still perfect after 5 days. BEST balloon/party store around with excellent quality helium and balloons. We will only use Victoria Party Store for our business and personal events from now on.

I went to this store and bought table cloths, which I then found for almost a quarter of the price at another place. When I returned them, I was then harassed about how much money I was costing them to return things and that I should have price hunted first! Absolutely horrible customer service, I will never come back nor recommend. This is the first time I’ve been frustrated enough with a business to even write a review.

Amazing people! I was so impressed with this store. I brought my balloons to the store in labelled bunches. Not only were my balloons blown up but every bunch was bagged and labelled as I had done. These people even came in early to have my balloons ready earlier than expected. I have also learned to buy my balloons at the store and not online as they are not as high of quality, which I did not know. My balloons did make it through the party, however I will be purchasing at the store in the future. Thank you so very much for a great experience.

I ordered balloons on Thursday morning and said I’d pick them up Friday evening. The lady helping me, who seemed to be the owner, said okay but I needed to come after 5:00 PM. I ended up picking them up Saturday morning and by 12:00 PM the foil balloon was already half inflated. By end of day Saturday it was almost to the ground. Today (Sunday) it’s on the ground. I called to ask if I could just get it inflated again and I’ve been told it will cost me $2.50 for the helium. They have a 48 hour guarantee and they filled them up on Thursday even though I was told they needed until Friday at 5:00 PM to have the order ready. Poor, poor customer service... I’ll take my business elsewhere.
