I dont like that when you walk into a store you are flooded with sales staff constantly asking you if you need help. I also dont like 'yes employees'. Honestly i tried on a top that my daughter liked. In the change room, im looking at myself in the mirror and i dont like what i see. The top is pretty but i picked a size too big..but i open the door and 2 other sales staff and my kid are saying wow- love it... I ask another girl that was trying to help.. Jenna, and she says honestly....no. I like this, you know why, she is fresh, honest and from that moment i trust her. Jenna brought me more clothes to try on, items that i would never normally try...i didnt buy everything but i did leave the store with 6 items...and i also left with a smile. Jenna honestly made my shopping experience FUN, no stress and i have no regrets. (:

I love shopping in the store but since the coronavirus broke out the rule of no mask aloud in the store in kitchener Ontario says no masks no service. I am not happy because I love shopping there. And they wouldn't let me in because I wasnt wearing a mask. I have medical reasons that allows me not to wear a mask. And the law says you have to let poeple in if they say they have medical reasons who cant wear a mask. They can not do that and it's not fair to poeple who cant wear a masks who love shopping in the store.

Amazing staff and they follow covid restrictions. So far the best place for Plus sizes without compromising the fabric and style and design. There is something for everyone. $$ - $$$ due to American prices which sometimes is a deal breaker for me personally. Wish they had more options and choices as they do on their website. Though I still love to shop here esp. When they have $10 shipping to canada. Torrid online if possible should give us an option of picking from the Canadian location. Absolutely recommend and atleast visit this store once. Fyi..they have their sale and deal items at the back which are worth the price.

I always find something I like here. They have fashionable stuff for all ages. I do find it pretty expensive but they have good sales and cash coupons when you purchase. The staff have always been very friendly with me. Always a good experience when I go.

I had a a fantastic first experience when this store first opened , but as manages and employees change so did the service I received. New employees are very helpful and kind, and ones that knows me as I tend to shop sale items don't pay me any mind and I think it's rude. They never seem to have anything in the back whenever I do need another size or other items. It's slowly going downhill!

So many Black Friday deals. I went in not expecting much luck because of my experience there in October (couldn't find a thing, everything was floral print and the fabrics were all completely synthetic). I was pleasantly surprised. I left with 6 or 7 items and they all fit perfectly, look D great and enhanced my style.

I absolutely love this store. Great to see such a lovely store for larger people. It is very expensive tho. smaller store , racks are very full. many different option and styles. Didn't see any staff to ask questions too but it was also busy when I was there so they were most likely helping other customers. Wasn't really any deals that I could see. I will be back for sure. The sizing is kind of odd too. Had some really nice shoes too and under garments as well .

I love Torrid! This store has everything - lingerie, swimsuits, business casual, fun sundresses, etc. The employees were very helpful and sweet. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality. They stock sizes 10-30, so if you're within that size range you can count on finding some of the best fitting trendy clothes ever!

I've felt so self conscious about my postpartum body and hard shopping until I stumbled upon Torrid. I love their product but more importantly their sales staff at Fairview Mall is phenomenal. I never felt encouraged, affirmed and left feeling great about my new shape thanks to their upbeat and easy going staff. Would definitely reccomend a visit if you're a size 8 or larger!

One of my wife's favourite stores! We went to the one in the Oshawa Centre because she wanted to get some new clothes and we heard of a sale or 2 going on. The staff are always professional and they have very organized Covid-19 protocols in place. I generally will be the "carrier" of the the items my wife selects as she's looking around, but just about everytime we come here, I end up finding something for her that she loves too. We will always be back here! :)

I was disappointed today when I was in the store. I walked in was barely greeted. Had full intention of spending my haute cash. However, walked around the store 4 times with a handful of clotuing not once was I offered assistance or a fitting room started. As well heard a staff member state to more than one customer.."you should just get it online...", "It's better if you order onlone it sells out in store , just order online..the shipping isn't the cheapest but just go online" I get that online shopping is key for business these days but if a customer takes time to shop in the store they are doing so for a reason. It was in poor taste. Due to that and the poor lack of customer service I left and honestly won't be back to torrid for a while now. This is not the first time I've had poor service at this location and it seems to be when the same person is in shift. If I do return to torrid it won't be this location.

I love this store. I'm between a torrid 0-1 on top and a 2-3 on bottom, and I can always find plenty of awesome stuff. The best time to go is when there's a clearance event - especially when it's buy 1 get 2 free. The stuff can initially be pretty pricy but between the deals and the quality, it's worth it. My favourite things to buy here are dresses and leggings. All attached pictures are clothes I've gotten recently at this store (and all in clearance).

Great place for trendy clothes that dont stop at a size 12. Love the changerooms and the staff are always very helpful. Thankful I found this place after hours and hours of fruitless searching at the backs of racks only to see a 10 as the biggest size. Only took one star away cause the prices are sometimes a bit high, but if you check the clearance section and come on sale days it all evens out.

I went into torrid and needed to purchase something for work that needed to be covered by my disability insurance. It had to be rang through in a specific way in order for me to send it to my disability insurance. Well not only did the cashier (Arial) make me feel embarrassed for needing it to be done a specific way but when I had to come back and return some of the things becuaee I realized it went over my budget I found the cashier and some man who was behind the counter talking about me. They saw me come in and when I got close they said oh here she is and the man walked away and the cashier was very cold to me when she rang in my order. I wish I could never go backt o this store. But unfortunately I am a very large person and need their plus sizes. Absolutely not a company I would support if I didn't have to.

The staff are always so friendly and greet me by name! Ariel, Laura, and Amanda have been the ones I interact with most, and going to the store feels like I'm visiting with friends. I've always felt uncomfortable shopping at other stores because of the way my body is proportioned, and the staff here make me feel welcome and even helped me learn to celebrate my body. I do love Torrid, my rating is really only towards the lack of care and motivation from certain employees. I understand that shipping from Torrid is expensive but to hear an employee tell me "Dont even bother looking online cause shipping is ridiculous." Is honestly really embarrassing for a company. I've had mixed encounters with employees though, some have gone above and beyond to find me sizes or similar styles but I've also had some moments where I get very little effort and feel more like a bother than anything. Overall I will still continue to shop here, just wish there was a little more motivation!

I shopped at your location yesterday in Kitchener Ontario Canada and the way one of the managers spoke to me was so insulting I couldn’t believe it. I brought my two pubescent boys with me and was told that they had to come into the change room with me in order for me to try on clothes!!!! They aren’t toddlers and it was said right in front of them. I have never been told by a store ever that my boys must be with me while I change, they aren’t toddlers! This is the second time my kids have been treated rudely the last time the manager made my autistic son wait outside the store on the ground until I was finished in the store because he didn’t have a mask on. He’s exempt!!!! I am so insulted and I’m going to bring a ton of attention to this on social media and I will be contacting your head office until this is rectified. My children and I deserve an apology and I will be making sure this story is told wide and far. Completely disgusting and inappropriate

Please do not feel intimidated if you think its too expensive becuase there is always amazing sales going on, all you have to do is talk to and ask one of the awesome, friendly workers! I have gotten so many clothes from here both in store and online! They have their sizes a little different so instead of saying 2xl or 3xl you grab a size 2 or 3 and it is such a confidence boost! Ive saved hundreds! From shorts, skirts, bras, shirts, dresses, bathing suits, shoes, lingerie and so much more! They have style and shape and their clothes make me feel beautiful and sexy all at the same time!

I was here at 3:30-4pm on Mon Nov 9th for an hour. I really wish the girls who helped me had name tags because they deserve recognition (that's why I included the time). One employee went above and beyond to help me find not only my size but also tried to give me the best deal. She spent a great deal of time with me and it made me feel valued as a costumer. I had a fantastic experience shopping today! After having my baby last year, my weight has fluctuated emensly. Over a year later and I'm still wearing maternity clothes because I can't find anything that fits. I can't tell you how mortifying it was for me to be buying maternity clothes a year after my son was born. My mother noticed that I was essentially falling apart and forced me out of the house today. That's when I discovered your store. For the first time in a very long time I felt comfortable clothes shopping. The staff were all so nice and helpful. Emma was especially gracious. I don't know how to express how grateful I am. This is by far my new favorite store and will certainly be returning.

This is not specific for the Kitchener location but for the company as a whole. Extremely poor customer service. They rip their Canadian customers off ....$40 flat rate for shipping? Are you guys on crack? No option to ship free to store either...clearly they'd rather make some extra money off the shipping because there is no way it costs that much unless you buy a ton. A single bra that would fit into an envelope would cost 1/4 of that price to ship.

as i was waiting for my wife to try on bras i watched a lady and her friend come into the store with no mask on and start looking at shirts. manager asked her to leave, lady said she was exempted from the mask bylaw, manager then said she doesn't care its store policy, the lady rolled her eyes and said "ok", the lady continued to look at the shirt in her hand for maybe 5 seconds returned it to the rack then turned to her friend and said "ok lets go". this whole thing took less then 30 seconds but that was enough for the manager to run to the back room grab her cell phone and call mall security on this lady saying "i have an emergency" your store manager is a pathetic, heartless person who is obviously poorly trained. if she considers a maskless person a "emergency" she shouldn't be in charge of a store. you essentially kicked out and called security on a disabled person because you didn't want her disability in your store.

My mom likes this store as it has a good selection of styles for her size. The workers are not friendly enough, though. No "hello" as we entered the store. It wasn't even busy, but she chose not to greet us.

If you can’t respect the rules don’t shop here. I am a regular customer and I will tell you all of the girls and managers are so nice. My favourite plus size clothing brand. It's a small store, but the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Even though items are pricey, they usually do have great deals on in store, such as BOGO or an extra percentage off of clearance. Although the prices are better online, the costs of shipping to Canada are outrageous. I hope they eventually place a warehouse in Canada so we can get in on flat rate shipping.

Took my daughter shopping when she came home for Thanksgiving .. staff were very friendly and helpful in finding sizes and styles. My daughter was extremely happy with her 2 purchases .. one that was 1/2 price ! She'll be back for sure!!

Their products are fantastic, however their customer service is TERRIBLE. I placed an order in mid September and used most of my earned Torrid cash. Two days later, I received a notice saying my order was cancelled (although at this point a hold had already been successfully placed on my credit card). That weekend I called and spoke with a representative. Five minutes in, the line was disconnected and no one called me back. Shortly after I called again, and the same thing happened. I tried once more and spoke with a third customer service representative who spent over an hour on the phone with me. She advised it was a payment issue that required verification, so we called my bank, where the representative had my bank (of all people) confirm my name and address. Once this was completed, she replaced my order by phone. I was advised I would receive a confirmation within 24 hours. At this point I was assured my Torrid cash would be used towards the order. Fast forward one week later, my account is still showing a pending order. I called again, had another representative end my call. I called a second time and spent half an hour with a representative who advised that it takes time to verify payment information even though that was already completed the week prior. She also confirmed that my Torrid cash was going to be applied, even though we were since past the end of the promotion She told me I should again have an order confirmation within 24 hours. Another week later and still no confirmation of order (showing as pending on my account) I called again to see if this could be escalated. I was told it was being worked on and there was nothing they could do. At this point, I have given up. The replacement order was placed on September 27, and now today, October 15 I have no news, the order is pending and my earned Torrid cash is nowhere to be found. I used to recommend Torrid to anyone who would listen, but given their lack of customer service or desire to assist their customers, I will be shopping elsewhere.

There are a few girls there that are absolutely amazing. They are always eager to help and don't complain when asked for help. I had items that I needed to return due to issues and they helped with no disagreement or trouble and even advised on how to help with places that give you a hard time. I love Torrid clothing in general. The storefront is small and crammed and nearly intolerable when busy. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I purchase a lot from here but mostly online. Sadly I pay a premium price for both the clothing and for delivery to Canada. In my opinion shipping should be free for a minimum purchase of 100 US dollars and the overall prices should be reduced by probably 15 to 20 percent. Unfortunately for more unique and trendy plus size clothing we dont have a lot of options so I'm a bit behind the 8 ball. I am pretty happy they go down to size 10 and up to a reasonable upper size range as well. Inclusivity shouldn't be an issue anymore imho. Very well tailored clothing for many body shapes, types, and sizes that is reasonable quality. I'm hooked on their less mainstream offerings. Too pricey though.

Awesome experience. Since they don’t have a ‘store front’ in the mall, I set up a zoom call with an associate who had picked out tons of options for me. After going through all the choices, she even walked through the store to show me some of the leggings. And clearance items being buy 1 get 3 free certainly helped!!

I love this store so much, and their clothing is amazing... However, I waited at the change rooms for 10 minutes with an arm full of clothes to try on... Saying hello multiple times... And looking up at cash for someone to come. There were 2 employees at the cash register with no customers, just chatting away to each other. I finally got so frustrated I dropped my clothes on the closest rack, and walked past the cash and told them that there's no one at the change rooms. And walked out. Very frustrating, especially with how much money I spend here.

I was disappointed that not only did they have very limited bathing suits on the floor in their store, but they didn't have anything in stock in the back! I was told whatever is out front is what they have. I would've just ordered online but then saw at checkout that my shipping fee would be $40!!! I'm from Canada, not Australia! And THEN when I asked them about ordering in the store to avoid hefty shipping fees, they said they cannot do that because they're an American based company. Uh hello? American Eagle is american based in the States yet I can go into any store here in Canada and if they don't have what I want in store I can order it and pick it up at the store or have it delivered straight to me. SUMMER is just around the corner yet Torrid only has a fraction of bathing suits in their store compared to online. I had to settle just weeks before my Dominican trip to get married and go with a top I liked but didn't love as much as the one I wanted. I'm so disappointed and NOT happy!!
