You will be able to see the opinions of people like you who used the services and products of Kildonan MCC Thrift Shop (Costumes) near to the territory of Kildonan (Canada).
Now the business has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an opinions average is very positive, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Costumes belongs to the category of Second hand store.
Always great to be here for stuff
Enjoy Look if through store. New stuff every day
Lots of great items!
Love this place. Great deals on all sorts of treasures highly recommend it.
Better than any been in yet
It's not a big chain store I think theres two or three mini locations too big I'll research on that I go there for furniture and electronic cords and I'd find the odd clothing item
Very good stuff
Great deals
My favorite thrift shop to visit in winnipeg. Not that I need more stuff, but the hunt for diamonds in the rough is so enjoyable. The fact that proceeds go to such worthy causes is the icing on the cake. The neat stuff I've found here make regular visits a must. Pricing varies, some items are a bargain, others, well, you can tell the point of view of the person valuing the item is slightly from an older time. In my opinion, electronics tend to be a little on the high side, for what they are. But in general a great place to explore.
Best thrift store in Winnipeg!! Volunteers are amazing and helpful!!
Was a great day to be a MCC. My mom found the cat from the big comfy couch set from the 90s. She was very happy since she has been looking for it for years. Now she is one step closer to a complete set.
Each time that I visit the shop, I am astounded by the high prices. Now, even to purchase an $8 item, someone has to walk the item over to the cash register because I may steal it. I feel violated and very disappointed that management assumes that we are all thieves.
Good selection, clean, well organized and the people who work there are awesome ????
Great deals and good selection
The store is decently priced. However, even if you look like you work and have a lot of money, the security guard will leave his position at the front door to follow you around everywhere. I get hes doing his job but that's a little overboard. Thanks for my purchase of 12 dollars that I was fully committed to paying for.
Great for everyone starting from somewhere.
Good place. A lot less selection.
Bad

good
I love this place people there are always friendly and helpful.
I was honestly impressed that this was a thrift store and I ended finding a few good things to buy for my new place!
Found some items quite pricy but there were some reasonably priced items.
Some things are pricey but some are okay. Take out the antiques, make room for more affordable items!!
The place is way overpriced. A neighbour bought a bedroom set that was infested with bed bugs.
lots of BIG old style furniture, but still fun to poke around
Dying to bring my mom & husband here. Pretty happy with the prices and the staff service. Can i come work for u guys lol leave my culinary potition behind.
I have been volunteering at the Kildonan MCC Thrift Shop for 4 years and I love it! The prices are at a reasonable price! The staff are nice as well!
Well organized and nice array of clothes and household items. I remember coming here years ago and things seem a tad more pricy in certain items. It's nice and clean and staff were very friendly. Weird that you need a loonie to use a cart. Wish they were free.
I kike how big the store is
Always great finds!!
Slow service but what to expect from volunteers
Worthwhile to come from time to time, lots of selection and generous prices, well organized. Ive found countless great deals here... vintage plates, Tupperware, curtains, table linens, clothes, books etc. Generally a fair amount to wade through but there are good things to be found here
Always great finds because they have a wide variety of items. Probably the tidiest and cleanest thrift store in the city
The store itself seemed fine, and the guy who helped load the furniture into our car was great, but the old man who checked us out inside was blatantly antisemitic and racist.
Good Place
When you walk into this place it’s like walking into another dimension. Everything is incredibly cheap, especially the odd trinkets. I’ve found so much cobalt glass here. Only downside is that this place mainly attracts swathes of old people and weirdos.
Expensive
I would recommend this business to everyone that is looking for a great deal or wanting to donate items, This is a local business that's supports our community, The employees are friendly and helpful and are willing go out of there way to help anyone, Great job Kildonan MCC Thrift Shop employees. Stay Safe. Best Regards;????
Horrible experience trying to browse & support this MCC thrift store. Stereotyping, security standing at end of aisle staring, making me feel uncomfortable like I'm going to steal. DONT GO THERE. ZERO stars...
This is the BEST thrift store in Winnipeg. Though I am new to thrifting and their selection may be smaller than Value Village for clothing, they have some great pieces. I got a belt for $0.75, and have never paid more than $3.50 for a shirt. Staff are friendly, the store has security so you feel safe, and there are honestly loads of different items. You're bound to find something.
Never sold me the Timex i wanted to buy, making excuses not to sell it... Good store but not very friendly staff.. Watch was in showcase with no price... Will not go back to store ever again... I wouldn't even give a rating..
Prices are excellent, staff are friendly and helpful ☺
Always love to shop here
Extremely overpriced old furniture , practically nothing in men's fashions .
I've been there a few times. I think some of the prices are ridiculously high on items. IMO better options at a VV.
One of my favourite stores, although the prices have gone up a lot especially in the vintage lane.
Been here to donate a few times, always a fast process!
Awesome
Very disappointed with the sales services personnel. Bought a bed and paid for delivery but on my delivery date, they called me and said my bed was re-sold by another staff member. So unprofessional, I was very disgusted. You guys need to improve on your professionalism.
It's an interesting and huge store. Los of opportunities to save money
my FAVOURITE place to go shopping! the prices are amazing, there are lots of good deals, the service is great, and you can always find something worth buying! my mother and i love this place, it will forever be my favourite thrift store in winnipeg and i’ll be a costumer for as long as it’s open!!
My family loves exploring and finding cool treasures for a cheap price!
Nice place but it needs better signage to get into the parking lot.
A beauty of a thrift store with lots of hidden gems. Be sure to check out the antique section. Very good for movies and Books!
A lot of neat things! I mean I even found a book on Kilted Yoga!
Good price, great staff
TONS of reasonably priced items. Staff/volunteers have always been friendly and helpful! I got a few great deals! :)
Very nice place with good prices
Always find what I'm looking forand a few extras ....
Always fantastic items..the vintage section is amazing..great parking..and today a lady was playing the most beautiful music on the piano!
Polite staff, friendly fairly reasonable prices
Best Thrift Shop in Winnipeg Hands Down.
Very helpful.
Got exactly what I was looking for / a bath chair and a few more items ????
Everything (almost) you could possibly need, at a small fraction. Great value and quality, friendly helpful staff!
Really great prices. 25% - 75% off sales daily. They have very friendly service and an even greater selection
The best thrift store.
Huge selection of clothes, furniture and vintage stuff!
Its OK... just have to keep goin in to see what's new there
Bought a Sunbeam Mix Master with attachments for $40.00; beater attachments wouldn't stay in after starting; next day took it back telling them why. The person on the floor said, ''I could have told you that!' That's why it hasn't sold!' (??!!) --- They wouldn't give me my money back, but a gift card instead! If they knew it was defective, why have it on the floor for sale??!! Not very honest for a charitable organisation. I shop there often enough, but was disappointed with the appliance selection, servicing. k
I think this is one of the highest quality thrift stores I have visited. Good stock at prices that are similar to other thrift shops.
Amazing store with good options for furniture and stuff for home
Amazing prices and huge selection. Everything from almost new picture frames, clothes in excellent condition (I bought maternity jeans for $2!!!), and a wide variety of furniture and kitchen tools! I always love the chance to shop here and not only find great deals, not only reduce my consumer footprint by thrifting and reusing, but also getting to support the incredible work that MCC does.
Great
Nice place to pass the time ????
Super cheap prices for genuinely good quality items ! ????????
They have some good stuff there
A bright & open well curated and organized thrift store benefiting the Mennonite Central Committee; not open on Sundays or evenings.
(Translated) I work as a volunteer in the repair of digital cameras (Original) اعمل متطوعا في اصلاح كاميرات التصوير الرقمية
Biggest thrift store ive ever been in.
You can get good stuff here
Worthwhile place to stop, shop and slop.
I found this beautiful piece of art love this place staff are always friendly always clean keep up the great work a solid 4.5 Stars
They have a good selection of old style furniture
Great place to find treasures; even better cause to donate to!
always busy need to go often to find what your looking for and the prices stay true to a thrift shop unlike VV
Great place to shop. Low prices, clean and helpful staff.
Best selection in Winnipeg. Great prices and staff. My go-to thrift store
Sheldon needs to pay 100% more attention when speaking with customers. I was told the donation pick up service would take a bed, several boxes of books, and various other things. I am now left with almost a full room of things that they were unable to take which Sheldon DID NOT mention when I was listing what I have. My house is supposed to have a final clean tomorrow to go on the market Tuesday, which will most likely be impaired due to Sheldon's blatant ignorance, and lack of care. The drivers had mentioned to me that this is an ongoing issue, and at least once a day are given incorrect details from Sheldon.
Love to browse this thrift store. Lots of variety, including furniture. Bought several shelving units and delivery is only 30.00 for everything one buys. I donated a dining table and chairs and they took it apart for me.
Hi I have to just say how very disappointed I was today coming into the store, I use to love supporting the thrift shop. First off the charging of carts is just ridiculous there were two ladies at the carts that agreed with me. I had my 1 year old son with me and no change as we have been advised from the GOVERNMENT to use cards where ever possible, for obvious reasons. I decided to go in a do a quick check around the store anyways. Making it very uncomfortable carrying my son. I first started in the baby section, as I tend to look to recycle baby items instead of buy new, you had your play pens, one in particular I saw it must have been about 20 years old as you can tell from how dated it was, you were STILL asking 40 dollars! I was shocked as in Walmart’s flyer there are a brand new play pens for 69$. I walked around the store and I honestly found EVERYTHING over priced, it honestly makes me believe that you are in fact a FOR profit organization. What happened to helping community? You get these DONATIONS for free, and you are a volunteer ran business. You need to start pricing according to those facts.. I won’t be back and I also won’t be bringing my donations there anymore.
Amazing prices and selection. The staff is very friendly.
lots of stuff to look at, and prices are really reasonable, unlike V.V
I found multiple nice outfits there. I love all the different choices! Really nice, I recommend shopping there! PS, they’re are a few really nice phone cases. I found iPhone 8 wolf howling case and bought it. Real nice! Thx for reading!!! Have a wonderful day!!
This is the best thrift shop in Winnipeg by far
????????????????????????????
Always a nice place to go. The staff are friendly and eager to helo out. The prices vary but are usually reasonable. Public washroom that are clean. Changing rooms available, spacious and clean. The areas are easily noticeable, clothes, toys, crafts, etc. They aren't so close that there isn't a defined area for each. There is an antique area of the store now, they have some really nice stuff there and prices are also reasonable.
This is a large, large store. Selection is good, and because it's volunteer-run, prices are very, very low. They have clothing, toys, furniture, and housewares.
It has kinda gone downhill.
Super affordable and great stuff all around. Love it here
Always fun to browse here to search for that hidden bargain. Staff is very friendly & helpful.
Lot's of choices and it's a big store but quite expensive than i expected
Good finds if you take the time to look. Scored 2 kids Jets Jersey's today. Wish they had carts in the store as I found more items.
Overpriced items. Sure you'll find neat stuff, but they're generally priced beyond the actual value of the item.
Lots of stuff
Went to late
I love coming here to shop and I also donating my used items here ! Amazing people????
Housewares are reasonablly priced. Clothing is overpriced, especially as much of the current stock seems to be contaminated with body-oil smell (probably from dirty pillowcases).
Always a great place to shop
Great place to shop!
Huge thrift shop! The best I have been to. Prices are amazing. I had broken 2 of my wine glasses and was able to replace for .50 cents each with the same ones. Also have gotten beer steins for .25 cents. For the people complaining about prices.. this place is still MUCH cheaper than Value Village. I don't see how they could possibly lower their prices anymore.. and the volunteers are wonderful!
Great people Great shopping
Ok great prices
Very large space, cheapest priced thrift store with way more donated to charity than value village, and especially good will. Cool vintage section at the back.
SO many amazing antiques
I love this store, however I am finding some things have all but disappeared. Will still come here frequently, always seem to leave with books and toys haha.
beware the vintage section. nice volunteers that have no idea what they're doing are attributing goods to designers and brands that are far more valuable than the products they're actually selling. Steer clear and visit a real antique shop or a real thrift shop - you're likely to get ripped off at this hybrid shop.
Wow awesome place friendly cheap and you can deal with them within reason I totally recommend it
Great place to find a bargain. And even sell nonessentials.
We have down sized and found out that this is the best place to donate articles, clothing and furniture..We come there quite a lot as we like to see all the new items that other kind people have donated. Alot to chose from. It is kepted very clean and staff are amazing. We never leave empty handed. Love the store! A must to shop at.
Love this place iam there at least once a week.
I found a few furniture pieces I liked but found them priced on the high side, I made an offer and they went down a few dollars but that was it .The price was still to high for second hand. One of the men were not very nice.
Great prices, great treasures and great cause!
Very spacious and real reasonably priced
Prices are really high
Good variety of stuff . Favorite part antique store in back. Getting pricey.
Good selection on bargain goods & furniture.
Absolutely the best "thrift" shop in Winnipeg... supporting a great charity... to the volunteers working thier give yourselves a pat on the back... bravo
Super !!! Love the items you have for sale. I will be back soon !
Items there are in really good condition. Inexpensive and well worth checking out often as items are sold quickly, new products arrive. Always something new to explore.
Very well set up store.
One of the better thrift stores in Winnipeg.
Thrift store itself I am not that impressed with but their vintage section I LOVE!! Try to go once a week to see the new treasures.
Clean
Friendly clean,helpful people
Good but is getting kind of expencive
Amazingly large store, some well priced items mixed in with some higher priced, but also higher quality furniture items.
Too expensive
Nice thrift store with plenty of items but their prices seem to go up at certain times each month. Everything is used but the prices don't reflect that anymore. I mean 12 bucks for a used coffee cup!? Or $55 for man office chair that squeaks, has cracked and ripped pleather anc keans to on side, go on guys let's get back to what made folks love this store already!...eh!
Love this place! Great people work there, always moving product and reasonable prices which goes to charity. They also take donations and will even do pickups for those who require some help.
The store and all the sales staff have always been awesome when I go here. However, the guys working in the back where you drop off donations are a completely different story. At least 3 different times, I have brought several large bags and/or boxes. The men just stand there talking while I have had to carry every box/bag in one at a time, by myself. They just point to the floor when I ask where to put my donations. And they don't even hold the door open. Totally unacceptable, and I will be donating elsewhere after today. They have paused their talking to say thanks once or twice.
The girl working today in vintage lane was wonderful! Excellent customer service
Not to bad
Cute and quaint atmosphere, large selection of clothes and furniture with reasonable pricing, very friendly cashier.
Found what I was looking for...they have a lot of good stuff
Excellent place for bargains
Good place to go ..
Use to be way better before . Had more plus size clothing and more kids clothing .
This is a great place to hunt for little treasures. There are incredible bargains to be had here, and always something new to discover. They have done an excellent job of organizing everything in the store, making it easy to find what you want.
Nice furniture but way over priced
very well organized. impressive.
Shelves where not full enough....seeing that just opened....should of been packed
Excellent customer service, always a great selection, love finding the vintage electronics, like the mint condition 8Track stereo I found a few month ago.
Huge thrift store, AMAZING prices, great staff and a decent variety of items and clothing. One of the better thrift stores I've been to!! I love the area with all of the vintage items and the fact that they have fabric, buttons and other sewing and crafting items available! One time I even got a licorice plant there for 40 cents :)
I found most of the things i need here.
I always find something great I can't leave behind.
All the peopleon here work for this place there are no deals even 50 percent off it still cost alot 50 dollars for a pair of pants that they got donated to them or 8 hundred dollar table you can go get a nice and new one for that price if anyone says different go in and look i bet u dont buy nothing i can say i will just buy brand new then spend there
Excellent deals but the prices a getting more expensive.
Great friendly volunteers, good selection
Friendly and helpful staff
Excellent selection. Friendly staff. Everything well laid out. Prices very reasonable. Went in to find a replacement real silver fork and they had many in stock...50 cents a fork but today was half price. I bought 3!! Such a great find and a worthy organization to support.
I have been a loyal customer for 3 years. Last week I was asker to leave my small backpack (I carry instead of purse for safety reasons) in locker...After spending hundreds of $$$ the past 3 years, am I now being suspected of steeling... Fact, there are shoppers with large purses, what's the difference???
Washrooms were closed. They had to come open them for me since I'm 6 months pregnant. . They were not very friendly
Always a good experience at the McC store. Cheap prices on decent items.
This shop used to be my favorite place , but now their price is outrageous for secondhand stuff. Their price is double compared to for profit thrift shop . Clothes price is ok. Before buying do some online research . I wish they had suggestion box in the shop.
Upon returning to this shop (haven’t been in a few years), I have to say I’m disappointed in not only the lay out but the prices. The quality and selection has dropped as it’s become more popular but the prices have doubled what they used to be. Not to mention the staff/volunteers are of little assistance. Give your head a shake, guys. I realize it’s for charity which is a worthy cause but people whom come to these places looking for a deal are also looking for a positive experience as well. I left with neither and a sour taste in my mouth. Update: Even less impressed when word got out they threw out a BFI full of perfectly good books. ????????
It's a big place with some interesting stuff
Its really big, it's the best thrift store I have ever been too...lots of varieties and they sell brand new stuff too....lol
Always a good time !!! Deadly deals and a good place for everybody's old lady can spend all ur money
Third or fourth time visiting Found some of the things I was looking for. This is a very large thrift store with lots of everything. Best part is the store is that the isles are farther apart then normal, so you don't feel stuffed.
always good
So many amazing pieces of furniture here. I seriously had to contain myself but am already looking forward to coming back again ???? Why buy new when this place exists?
Good service.
Always surprises. Nice collection of furnitures and kitchenware. I like the crystal stuff there. Good quality and low price.
Process are reasonable. Selection is limited, but that's to be expected as they rely on donated items to sell. I love that they deliver! Delivery pricing is reasonable as well. Good thrift shop!
Amazing, they sell everything.
I love this store! For some things, the prices are a bit much but there are a lot of gems to be found!
best shopping inWpg.
Store has some things that are the right price but other things like furniture are way too OVER PRICED PEOPLE YOU GET IT FOR FREE AND THEN YOU RAISE YOUR PRICES SKY HIGH!!!!!!!!
Very organized and Enjoyed the visit.
Good place for second hand stuff
This location is very clean and organized. It is always a treat finding special items there!
Got the books I wanted for a steal of a price . !
They've re-organized and it looks good
I was very dissatisfied with checking my napsack,,,at 61, I don't expect to basically being thought of as a thief!!! I saw many women with large purses who could fit a semi truck in their purse,. Why aren't they checking their bags!!! Won't go back!! Many thrift stores in Winnipeg I can still go find what I'm looking for elsewhere
When the store opened I was thrilled and told many people...that was then ..now I tell others to stay away as the prices and atmosphere have changed and not for the better. Can anyone out there explain this, why the huge price increase and change in not so friendly but more uppity atmosphere. Does the money not go to the church or missionaries are the items not donated? Sincerely one unsatified costumer with a lot of friends.
Decent used goods priced to sell quickly. One of the few thrift stores in town with a good selection of furniture.
There are some good deals, but in general the items are over priced and for over retail value.
The staff stopped my wife inside and discriminated against her for a medical condition. My wife has a medical exemption from wearing masks. The staff stated they are required by the health orders to take her information. This is a blatant lie being told to discriminate against customers. This is a clear violation of basic human rights and we will be filing a human rights violation against the business.
Getting a bit pricey
Good.
I am always donating items to MCC that I no longer need. The volunteers are always friendly and helpful. It all goes to a great cause as well which is great!!
Neat thrift store with great finds!
Very expensive
Great service
Neat items for sure!
The best prices in comparison to other thrift stores! For men clothing although there is not a lot of variety!
I am so disgusted at your prices on Chalmers. One month shoes cost me 3.00. Then I go again and they're jacked up to 5.00. This goes for everything. Listening to people complain that this location is heading towards value village pricing. People constantly walk out without purchasing anything and saying its another value village. I agree with them. My income is virtually nil. EIA is not kind so trying to make rent n bills on 700.00 never mind food, is impossible. You've lost many customers, then there are your other stealing customers....
Great finds, great prices.
Well if you are less fortunate looking for furnature you are better off going to the brick, the average dresser from the 70s and 80s is around 115 dollars
The prices have gone up substantially. They seem to forget that they get their stuff for FREE!!
Always find great little and big things here. And some times there's hidden treasures and knick-knacks. And the staff are always helpful and always helpful. And sometimes I ended up have 10 minute conversations.
