I have never been to Hot Topic in Kitchener, Ontario since I go to the Hot Topic in CF (Cadillac Fairview) Masonville Place since I live in London, Ontario. Hot Topic is mainly aimed for people under 25 years of age. A lot of their merchandise such as their t-shirts, socks and other stuff is way overpriced, and even with their promotion. They do not sell brand name clothing such as Nike for example since Hot Topic do not sell brand name clothing. Hot Cash was sometimes a rip off. I went to the Hot Topic at Masonville Mall in London, Ontario to buy a few t-shirts, a pyjama pants and a couple Funko Pops (I do not care about Funko Pops, but it was a gift for someone) with a few hot cash coupons. However, I ended up paying $90.00! Their t-shirts and pyjama pants cost almost $30.00, and it only cost them under a dollar to make these clothes since it is made overseas plus they have to pay royalty for license products. As a person in my early 20s, I am only buying t-shirts that is specific and soon I am calling it quits to shop at Hot Topic. I am going to spend on clothes that is brand names such as Adidas, Nike, etc.

There’s not many stores I’d ever say I enjoy going into because of the staff. However, this is the place. They’ve been nothing but super awesome, helpful, funny and friendly people whenever I stop by. Also, their chokers/necklaces do tend to fit large necks (like my own) which is awesome. Highly recommended if you're willing to spend a bit of money. Needs more Sailor Moon merch though!

Great selection of stuff but... The layout can be tricky at times, the staff is rather loud when they're socializing with each other and they quite often forget to remove all security tags of of shirts. I've been here 3 times and all 3 times at least one of the shirts I bought still had the tag on them when I got home. The only good thing to come out of this experience is that now I'm great at taking of security tags.

Very disappointed with Hot Topic in Kitchener. Call to ask about product and they will never tell you if they have. I am a very dissatisfied customer especially when I drove 1hr and 45 mins to get there to find out that what I was after sold out that morning. They say they update stuff on Instagram well that is not true. I checked Instagram before leaving home and there was nothing on their page about it being sold out. Hot topic in Kitchener is the only place I know that will not give information out over the phone. I am Avery disappointed customer and will think twice about giving them anymore of my business. I have been a faithful customer for a very long time and am sorry to say I will take my business elsewhere.

However, customer service was non existent, I was ignored while 2 employees had a conversation so I was on my own to find what I was looking for. Being a HUGE lover of Hot Topic online and in the U.S., I hate having to say that this store was disappointing. It's super tiny and everything is just jam-packed into every nook and cranny making it her impossible to find what you are looking for. There were so many different ale signs up all.over the place and none of it made any clear kind of sense. What one set of signs set would cancel out what another set set, and that one would cancel out yet another, and so on. It really breaks my heart to have to give this review, but if you live in the Niagara Area, and want to go to Hot Topic, and have a passport, take a drive over the river and go to Buffalo or Niagara Falls, N.Y.. Or, better yet, go to their website which now easily delivers to Canada for decent prices. Hot Topic I still love you!

This is one of my favourite stores! They always have sales going on, so it's very likely for you to get the merch you want at a low price. So here is the thing-it is a hot topic store. Staff are generally friendly but like every other HT store it is too small for the amount of stock they are trying to carry. This is a place that you need to frequent often to get their exclusive products before they sell out. They do consistently carry population stuff like Pusheen and Rick & Morty.

I bought a jacket for Christmas, asked for a gift recipe & made sure that he can get his money back if it doesn't fit. When it came to bring it back, they wouldn't reimbursed with the gift recipe the manager with a rude attitude said that's the policy. With only original recipe if not than a gift card. I'm extremely disappointed, I took time to asked before my purchase and was told yes full refund with gift recipe and when bringing it back they change their story. Manager was rude bad attitude and walk away has I was explaining to her I even told her I have the recipe and she still gave me a bad attitude and walked away to just stand there doing nothing and left me there waiting until finally another cashier served us. Well lucky I was with him and had the recipe but they didn't have to treat us like that when it's them that should train their employees to not just say yes just to get people to buy there clothes. And stop being rude with customer when it's absolutely not necessary. Love the store but will never shop there again.

Did not even enter the store because an associate was very rude about coming in with a drink. I did not see the sign right away which I did apologize and walk away but instead of her saying "sorry there are no drinks allowed in store" she said "no drinks in store" very rudely and her demeanor came off aggressive. I am disappointed as I have been in different hot topics and have never had an experience like that. I suggest going to Spencer's which is a across from this hot topic, they were very friendly.

Staff are great and everything else is good except when it comes to comic con exclusive pops. Its should be 1 per person not 5 per person. Waited in line before open and there were people with laundry baskets. You do realise that will be selling them for the triple of the price??

Love this place! I shop here every week for my anime clothing and accessories. They really need to update their K-pop items, trust me the k-pop fans will love you guys for it. Rotate some of your merchandise, Dragon Ball-Z, Harry Potter, Naruto and Riverdale is just is so over done.
