This store is incredible! Amazing staff!! Honestly, I could spend hours just looking around. Excellent clothing options, cool nick nacks! If your looking for pretty awesome gift ideas, look no further. Also, if you hungry, they have food. If your thirsty, they have drinks. If you want to consume alcohol, you can buy booze. If you need gas, you can fuel up. There is a little something for everyone!

Great store. The new renos are moving along quite well. The store itself is very deceiving in size from the outside. Once you walk in you realize how large the place is. Very impressed with the total amount of options given here. You can get everything from games to books to fishing gear to bath robes. LCBO and cannabis stores on site.

Very tent unfriendly! Charge tenters the same rate as RVs. ($45.00) Washroom facilities at main site are badly maintained. Recommend you go the extra couple of km to Willows where tents are appreciated. (BTW RVs like the place.)

July 2020 update: as anticipated, new store opened and is beautifully designed. Lots of room; carrys everything one will need (and more) while vacationing there or nearby along with a nice selection of clothing and souvenirs. July 2019: Owners and staff extremely friendly and helpful; they go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. As they rebuild their general store, they have creatively made use of alternate space in another building. The temporary space is somewhat cramped and selection so-so, but sufficient. Freezer treats after long weekend were meager pending delivery of stock to replenish. Looking forward to the completion of the new store and fully anticipate my rating to move to 5 stars. We have been vacationing near by for the past 18 years and have always been happy shopping, and being able to utilize the Redden's camp boat launch and parking. Thank you Leanne and crew for adding to our summer memories.

The new building is very nice. Great to have a small grocery store, beer and an LCBO in the Longbow Lake area. The snack window food is really good. Only concern is to plan ahead because it takes some time for the orders to be prepared. I'd highly recommend the poutine.

If you want fuel right at the dock, you can't pay there. you need an "account" otherwise they make you walk 5 mins up a gravel hill to the highway to pay at their store. They hate tourists and only accomodate the locals. Get your fuel in Kenora before coming here.

We have stayed there a number of times years ago and enjoyed the quiet and privacy.......but this last time wasnt great there are way to many RV's jammed in every empty spot that can fit one seems there isnt much going into the cabin upkeep ( difference between rustic and rundown) maybe they are planning to tear them down for more RV space. But on the plus side, good spot to get onto the lake very nice scenery. Beaches are decent as well.Staff is friendly.

Great, though still under construction. No complaints of any kind. Found everything we needed. Lots of variety, price range acceptable, help from staff readily available and friendly. Huge guard dog on premises as it's on TCH and has a liquor license. Would have no problem shopping here on every visit yo yhe area. No gas bar but soon.

I left my wallet at Redden's after purchasing fishing licences. Arnell from Redden's emailed me to let me know it was found but I didn't get the message until I had already returned to Winnipeg. Arnell was kind enough to send my wallet Express post so I got it the very next day! Kind, honest and patient staff willing to go the extra mile even for their out of town customers. Perfect little everything you need store - Canada Post LCBO Rainy River local meat; lots of really nice clothing for crazy low prices in the back . Winter leather mitts ,. moccasins, all the basic groceries, but fresh produce goes fast every day. Ice, fishing licences and once the store is rebuilt, gas, all the fishing gear including outdoor weather. Staff are local and helpful. Know the area well Beautiful beach and water sports area. Never seen the cabins for rent but never heard a complaint and people return for decades. 12km to Kenora and Walmart Canadian Tire, Tim's McDonalds, Sunset Baits and 24/7 Lubies store and same distance to Rushing River Park. New store should have lots of cloths and unique gifts and jewelry.

Bought 2 containers of worms from them. Was told each container had 2 dozen worms. Paid $17 for smaller worms and at best there was a dozen of them in each container. Nearly paid a dollar a worm.

Staying in "The Red House" at Redden's, a 3 brdroom, 2 bathroom bungalow. Both bathrooms have a walk in shower, and the main bathroom has a jacuzzi! Everything is provided, except a teapot; we brought so many things we didn't need to. A wonderful home away from home!
