Last week my husband and three little ones were on our way to a cottage we rented and as we were going through this intersection our car literally stopped working. We were just able to pull in the lovely shop's parking lot, or I should say parking lot entrance, basically blocking their shoppers to pull in. My husband and I just looked at each other wondering what was going on and what were we going to do next.. He jumped out of the truck, checked it but really wasn't sure what had happened. It was about 28 degrees out and our three kids were not gonna be able to stay in the car so he went in the shop to ask for help and we were blown away by how amazing Jim and his lovely wife were. They welcomed us in the shop "with my three kids who can break precious antiques" and when we identify what was wrong with our car Jim even jumped on his truck to go get fluid 10 mins away... There was a couple that tried to come the parking lot and then had to park somewhere else who we thought was gonna be upset but they actually jumped in to help and they were also pretty amazing.. i wish i had gotten their names... Our kids were so amazing and it was for me as a parent a great opportunity to show my kids what good people do and how important it is to not just look the other way when people need a hand and also a great way to celebrate Canada day and Canadian people! We will for sure be going back to shop when we have the chance because they are not only amazing humans, their shop its stunning!
