I asked one of the Walmart employees what kind of methods of payment are accepted, to which I got a prompt answer. Employees were knowledgeable and eager to help.I did some boxing day shopping quick and painless. Got a pleasant surprise when I visited the store later on in the afternoon to return an item that I purchased and didn't need. I was able to return the item in the same day regardless of the fact it was boxing day.most of other stores don't allow returns till early January. Overall very impressed with my experience in the Walmart and this particular store employees.

Grocery pickup 100%. The guys are so good. They sort my stuff by fridge/freezer & pantry & breads and do such a good job loading up every single time. I won’t go anywhere else … you’re my fave for grocery pickup. One thing to improve - paying with freaking gift cards online is such a pain for grocery pickup. Please fix this.

My boyfriend and I went in there tonight to buy a bookshelf. We've seen it in store before, and didn't buy it at that time because we wanted to make sure it was the one we wanted before we bought it. We first looked at the other Walmart in Guelph, but they didn't have it in black, but had it in tan. There was a floor model at the Woodlawn store of the shelf we wanted, in white. We couldn't find any around the furniture department, so we asked a staff member to scan it (I worked at Walmart in the past and know the system), and the guy told us the store has 5, so I asked where they would be but his response was "I actually don't know, I haven't been here in like a month", and he walked away, absolutely not willing to help us find it. Frustrated, I went up to the customer service desk and asked for someone who may be willing to actually help us. She got another Rep to 'help us out' and he was also of no help. The tag was obvious on the shelf, same price and name. He looked at the one we had on the phone and said it was an online order thing only. So if it's an online order only, why is there a tag on the floor in store, that scans to show you have FIVE in the store, and you have one on display, and it's found in other stores, including yours in the past? Absolutely horrible customer service at this location. Only good thing about this location is the McDonalds in the summer to get a cheap dollar drink days drink while you shop. Will avoid this location going forward and shop elsewhere/at other Walmart when possible.

Despite my good rating which I think this store deserves for it's size, neatness & customer service, I feel the store didn't carry a lot of items that other smaller stores carry. The selection was limited especially in the Home & Grocery sections. The bakery section is nice, however. The store is so huge that it has two entrances: one for Home & Pharmacy; the other for Food & Clothing. The staff are available & helpful as best as they can be compared to other Walmart stores where they are almost invisible. The prices seem a marginally higher than other Walmart stores.

it's for my first time I'm doing google review and doing it for sukhdeep for being so amazing. since this covid-19 thing happened, we are using the online groceries pickup form Guelph north. for most of the time its always him who come out with our groceries having a big smile on his face. he is always cheerful and enthusiastic. I just wanted to let his manager know how good he is. yesterday, while we were there to pickup our groceries he took longer than he do and checked every item thoroughly. there some bad potatoes in a mini bag, he just went back into the store and bring a new bag for us. it seems to be really thoughtful of him. my husband offered him a tip but he said they are not allowed to take that. even after covid-19 gets over, we will keep using this service as Walmart actually cares.

Very rude and disrespectful. Today, they would not allow my husband and I enter together to do groceries. I spoke to the manager and told her it makes no sense as we live together and even if we lined up separately, we would meet up inside and she acknowledged it and said yes thats what people do....as long as you don't line up together. I told her I am a health care professional and this makes no sense as 1. We live together and 2. You know people are hooking back up inside and allowing it...she chuckles and says oh you know better eh? Our schedule doesn't allow us to go anytime we please, there are certain days and times we can go... I will definitely NOT be returning here and will be spreadig this to all my colleagues, family and friends!!

Visit this location very often.. One of the larger locations. Can's say much.. It's a great Walmart.. There is a lady in the photolab that isn't too nice. She makes you think like you are bothering her when you ask even just once, to see if your online order is ready.. lol. And few know how to use the key cutting machine back there...

Two hours on the phone to talk to someone about an online purchase. Why can I not pick up my order?? I paid for it but the order was placed by another using my card. No customer service. Bounced from department to department with no one knowing what to do. So they give me a number to call. 2 hours later , still on hold.

I had my small, quiet french bulldog in my cart. i was rudely approached by an employee who clearly worked in the back/stockroom with an orange vest on. he said "hey! you cant have dogs in here!" he did not ask my situation. i replied that it was 35 degrees out and im not leaving him to die in a car while i get paper towels." he responded "well only "BLIND PEOPLE" can have them." all of this was YELLING at me, while i was visibly emotional. he called visually impaired persons "blind people" and stated that only they can have dogs. what about deaf persons, dogs for seizures, or any other illness. my dog has papers for being an emotional support dog. he did not ask or inquire. he simply yelled at me.

Just wow. I cannot wait until this smart Centre is completely finished. They need to implement what is happening here into all spaces owned by the company. Look how the use of land is just out of this world perfect all and every detail has been looked over. Nothing has been missed. We need to be building this way throughout the country I look forward ro the finishing product as the high rises sore and the landscape begins to form. This is a nice big Walmart superstore. Wat bigger than Fergus. Wish Fergus was that big. They also sell beer here which is super awesome but always forget they do. Lol I also like the bulk items you can get that you can't at other smaller Walmart's. Sucks that you can't buy beer through the self checkout. Buddy should just check ids like zerhs.

Extremely difficult to enter and exit the parking lot due to all the nearby construction. In fact, I fear for the safety of the people inside should there ever be a fire because the fire department has zero access to one side of the building. Plus there are two emergency exits that are nearly completely blocked off. I definitely avoid shopping there because of these safety concerns. You are far better off shopping at any of the other nearby Wal-Marts.

Great store. But The Women's Washrooms, has not seen a clean mop since the place opened just grimy along the base wall. I had to pass toilet paper under the wall of the stall to my daughter, the toilet roll receptacles don't work, hence all the shredded paper They are not inspected enough.

This location is perhaps the best of two in town, but not necessarily up to the standard I would expect from the Walmart brand. I have visited this particular store several times recently and have not been impressed by the lack of on duty cashiers, or the amount of checkout lanes open at any given time. For an extremely large company with ample resources it seems unacceptable to wait for long periods of time in a store of this size. Again, considering my expectations of the Walmart brand I was not happy with the amount of available products in stock. I was looking specifically for a toaster on one of my visits to this store and was surprised that several of the models usually carried were sold out entirely. Shopping in a physical retail space has become significantly less desirable since the rise of online retailers such as Amazon, which makes the customer experience in store so much more important. I don't feel that Walmart delivered an adequate level of customer service and this will certainly make me think twice before leaving the comfort of the internet to enter a retail environment again any time soon. I can't help but notice that this location seems to be severely understaffed for a store of its size. There does not appear to be a staff member in sight to assist customers.

I have to say the last three visits have floored me. My son was almost hit with one of their pick up groceries cart because the employee was too busy to keep their eyes open. Offered no apologies. This last time I was accused of shop lifting i pegged as soon as I walked in to the self check out and shadowed then they stopped me and took apart my whole order. Absolutely no other solution except a manager apologies and I'll look into it. There are plenty of stores so if I need to ill go there !

Went to grab new headbands for Stacey. Goal was to find something that allowed her to wear during work outs and actually keep hair out of her face without having to adjust it every 37 seconds. This brand allows for shaping of the band to fit your noggin' and has rubber on the inner side to gently grasp your hair. Several colours to select. Ended up also grabbing Old Spice body wash and fuel for the ride home. Everyone loves Turtles... We didn't need a lot of help on this visit but the store was clean and well organized which made locating our desired products much easier.

Dec 24 update While this location is OK compared to other Walmart, it's one of the most unmet location... Reminds me of Kmart in the USA The washroom is the most dirtiest, smells I've ever seen at Walmart. I travel throughout the region and go to Walmart to pickup stuff I don't have, be it food, clothes, etc... But far this locations washroom is the nastiest. See pics ill post shortly... This location washroom waozer had not been cleaned in 2 days, see log sheet, toilet clogged, one urinal not working, and floor wet everywhere Pile of toilet paper in the corner Best of all the baby change station is being used for paper towel.

They don't have enough staff around. When you are finally able to find staff they don't know where anything is and don't know if they carry the product you requested that one has purchased many times before. Not enough electric wheelchairs. Also they are rarely charged and you're left helpless in the aisles. Shelves are not stocked up quickly enough. This is the better of the two Walmart's in Guelph as it has a much larger inventory of items and is a larger store in a great plaza. They no longer have plastic bags (heads up) and the paper bags were 33 cents each. This is a good Walmart especially for children's toys and grocery.

It's huge! Loads of selection can be found here and for the same or less cash than other places within this expansive, fluorescent lamp blazing, steel trussed-ceiling, colossus. Additionally, there's a McDonalds inside here too. It's a bit messy but offers most of the standard burger-rich menu. Did I mention it's huge?

What can I tell you that you don't already know, it's Walmart. They are quite competitive with their pricing, they will price match too, just make sure it is item for item. There are a few things I do not like with their new check out system: 1) it makes you feel rushed, 2) it almost makes you feel like you haven't scanned something cause big brother IS watching you 3) and explain this Walmart you don't have a "tap" feature on your debit machines - I mean seriously? And 4) fill out a stupid survey to win one of 3 (yes that's 3) $1,000 gift cards? I mean common, you stand a better chance at winning the 649!

The positive about this Walmart is that it is a large store with a lot of selection of merchandise. The down side is when I walk into this store it feels unwelcoming and cold. Also, there are more employees walking around than customers. And when you need help from one of them he/she acts like your bothering him/her. There needs to be more cashiers open. One time I had to wait 20 minutes to be served bc the cashier, I believe was in-training. What happened to those cashier in-training signs?

One regular register open at 7:30 pm. With the amount of groceries I wanted to check out with, self checkout was not possible. There simply is not enough space on the little shelves on either side of each self checkout. When asked if this is usual, I was snappily told it is and that I should self checkout. When I explained there is not enough space for all my groceries, I got a blank look in return. Ridiculous. Used to really like this location until this nonsense.

While I do enjoy the selection here, I have noticed that Wal-Mart isn't as competitive in prices anymore, noticeably with the food department (significantly lower prices of the same brand can be found at Fresh Co, Food Basics, and even at Zehrs!). I really dislike the "# for reduced value each" deals used here (and at other grocers). Forcing us to buy two or more of the same item to "save" is not true savings for an individual, maybe so for a family since consumption is higher. With global food waste pegged at 30% of consumables, those deals are only further exacerbating the problem (while food manufacturers gain more $). Shop wisely and carefully here, if it's too good to be true then it isn't true.

Oh my what can I say! I was there at night at 11pm there was still people to help me even at night I returned a DVD player and left a CD and there I called back in the morning they opened the DVD plugged it in and got it for me! It was a very important disc and he was so kind and helpful best customer service out there! Other places would just say yes you returned a DVD player but you can check when you get home I’m so glad they helped

A Walmart as one would expect it. Staff does seem a little more unwilling to help and uncaring than other Walmarts. I needed assistance in purchasing headphones, when I finally tracked someone down, they didn't know anything about the product other than it had to be purchased at the electronics counter. The person of the electronics counter also didn't know anything about the product. Neither could or would get anyone to help me with the product. The product's website proved to be more useful.

I'm very disappointed with this location. My 4 year old daughter was injured in the girls clothing section because of a shelving unit that was sticking out too far with no sides (guards) on it in a very narrow area with another unit less than 2 feet away. She walking into the corner of the unit which has tshirts hanging off the sides (so some of the corners were not visible) and cut her cheek pretty bad and bruised instantly. I brought it to the attention of the staff and manager at customer service.. they told me it would be changed so no one else got hurt.. I went back this Saturday and it's still in the same spot. We were not offered any sympathy or compensation. I explained I wasn't upset at the time as long as they fixed the problem. I am very disappointed it was not fixed. Way to look out for the safety of your children customers.. we probably will not return.

Honestly, I love a good Walmart superstore, but this one was a mess. We needed a couple things for our stay in the area, so we stopped in. Things were clearly mismarked, shelves weren't stocked neatly, it just seemed disorderly. Positive points, though, for the friendly help at the checkout, which was really nice.

Came here to get some pencil crayons which wasn't very exciting. However it was nice to see a couple of things. Not sure if it was coincidentally just that one day, but it was extremely refreshing to see a neat parking lot where carts weren't flying all over the place with cars parked in a civilized manner and not blocking entrances, which is a bright contrast to the Major Mac/Weston location. During checkout, I lined up in the Express Lane with 2 people ahead of me. One of the ladies had a cart full with obviously more than 12 items. In my head I thought "oh great" and was just about to go to another line until I heard the cashier called her out on it and asked her to move to another line! Very impressed.

The head of customer service needs to learn how to talk to people. After wanting to return a damaged item she tried to tell me it wasn't in her system and Walmart doesn't carry it. Lucky when she left I tried again with a younger worker and explained everything to her and she was able to refund me with no issues. Some people aren't meant for customer service.

Probably my favourite Walmart in York Region. It's very spacious and every section of this superstore is gigantic. The grocery area has everything you would need and the health/beauty area is always stocked and full. They recently implemented self serve check out along with the quick checkout (1-8 items) to further expedite customers through rush hours. There's very minimal customer service unless you ask but hey, it's Walmart right? It's not one of the priorities you're looking for when you come. Lastly, inside the Walmart they also have a McDonald's ready and available if you have a sudden craving! Overall, it's a very clean and nice store.

The eye doctor is a retired old man who has no stamina , patience , friendly and helpful to explain you things which you need to know neither answers you politely and in detail if you ask a question. He just want to grab his $70 and get rid of you. I'll never test my vision again at this location till this Doctor is on duty.

Went there looking for the right colour of curtains 54" wide by 84" long panels in a dark teal colour And I was not disappointed I was able to find the colour and the size of curtains that I was looking for and the right amount of panels that I needed. Also found an awesome curtain rod that would expand up to / 10' to cover the window that I needed. Totally ecstatic and happy the store is probably one of the best Walmart's that I've ever been in. Fully stocked and helpful staff I am very impressed and would highly recommend the store to family or friends. I even went back to find sofa cushions in teal colours that would match my curtains and was able to find four beautiful cushions that match my curtains and tied everything together and make it look incredible. Thank you Walmart.

3 stars because I am averaging my experiences. We have been trying to find a particular cooler, and when my husband was in store the system said 4 in stock but nobody could locate any. Fair enough, but there was no offer to check stock at other locations or take our info to call if they were found. 1 star. But today I called to see if any had been located, and Jason went above and beyond. He checked the store himself, and when he couldn't find the product, he checked the stock for other locations, then called to confirm if they actually had the product. 5 stars for Jason. Thank you!

I had to use the bathroom at this location two years ago and it was the most disgusting experience I ever had. Well I am back in town now and again went to the Walmart to have breakfast at McDonald's and had to use the bathroom again and it still two years later is nasty. Does anyone clean them ever? There was stuff that I won't even say smeared all over the seats of two toilets, one was closed and out of order, the other bathroom was better but I felt the need to shower after I left there!!!!

The Walmart at this location is at a walking distance from the Vaughan Metropolitan Center subway station. It is enormous and is comprised of many essential services like a large grocery section, photo center, auto parts and repair facility, Mc Donald's restaurant, pharmacy store, electronics and cellular phone department... under one roof. If you require assistance to find out what you are looking for, it is difficult, for you wouldn't see any associate who can help you. A good store for low and middle-class people to buy almost anything and everything at reasonable and competitive prices.

I gave one star less because the vegetables are not always fresh. I depend on Walmart for household things and kids toys. Their prices are always reasonable and I could find great deals always. This place is pathetic!! They say oh we all wear masks. Hah!! Three employees in produce were not wearing them and people were not following the proper isle direction, and management would not enforce it. They have WAY too many customers in at one time. It's a free frawl at this place. We called to complain and the young man who said he was the store manager said there was nothing wrong. He just dismissed us. If the town makes it mandatory it should be enforced. We will never be back! Store manager just plain rude and non compliant with law. We shop alot at Walmart. Well this store made us decide to never shop Walmart anywhere ever again. This corporation could care less about its customers. My most horrible shopping experience ever!!!!!

Overall cheap but have experienced prejudice I mean, it's a Walmart, it's cheap and plentiful. As a modestly native woman, (I wear dreamcatchers and occasionally shirts with my tribes name) I have experienced hostility from the Indian (as in from India) cashier/clerks. This honestly surprised me, I was not aware there was animosity between our cultures, but multiple times 2 seperate male clerks and 1 female clerk working the self-checkout refused to help me. As in said out loud "I will not help you." Super perplexing and upsetting, I guess avoid if you're visibly native?

I came to this location at around 9pm. I actually enjoyed shopping. Lots of parking. Right off the highway 400. Huge supercentre. It wasn't busy and they had a ton of registers open so no wait time. The only thing is that the store was very messy. I had a few questions about some products and received help quickly. Overall, this trip to Walmart was not stressful. I did spend a bit more than I wanted to but they had really great deals.

Do not under any circumstance order groceries for pickup here. I’ve had wrong items (vegetable oil instead of canola, pulp-free instead of pulp orange juice etc.), employees do not pay attention tot he order. I’ve have very obviously rotten fruit, cans dented so badly the seal is broken and I have to toss it out. I’ve wasted SOO much money just throwing food away it’s horrifying. It’s like employees have been purposely told to give the stuff that won’t sell in-store to people ordering online to reduce Walmart losses. I will never shop there again.

My general experience is that I often have trouble finding an employee on the floor. Items are often not stocked properly on the shelves. The usual problems with Walmart. What made me write this review is the experience we had yesterday. We went in to exchange a high chair. The one we got off the shelf had food stuck to the seat! They accepted a return and out it back on the shelf without checking the item first. We asked for a straight exchange. The returns manager told us to go get a new one off the floor. I confirm that we had to go get it and an employee couldn't for us (I'm 9 months pregnant). We go to get it to find that there are none out there. When we get back to the returns desk, they offer to look up in the computer if they have any left. Why wasn't that done first?? Why did the minimum wage employee care more about customer service than the manager?? Very frustrating. More frustrating than that is that the item isn't being sold anymore. So the manager wasted our time instead of just checking the computer.

I dropped two stars because most items on sale were not available and some other products were sold out...or not stocked in time. I had six things on my list but ended with only one. The people who work here were all very nice but not much they can do when many items were out of stock. If they cannot stock enough and on time, they cannot be competitive. For groceries, I think I'd rather shop in a 'real grocery store'. When I visited this location for the second and third time, they were just as messy as the first. Some staff are friendly but others are not as personable. This is not one of my favourite Walmarts to visit. I'm going to visit the other one in the future. Perhaps a better experience there.

Bought a ceramic heater it didn’t work out of the box. Went back got a replacement. It worked for one day. 6 months later I bought a vacuum. Opened the box and upon inspection the hose connection was worn and looked used. The attachment was broken and looked like someone had tried to glue it. Disgusting. Did not clear their cosmetic area, I was moving some items to find my product, and I was loudly accused of opening the package. I pointed out the rude tone by staff and kindly informed that the wrapper that was crinkling was an uncleared package. The items on sale or that are highly likely to be price matched will fly off shelves in the first couple days and won't be restocked until the next week when the flyer run time ends.

First of all, for all you people complaining about the staff, I realized that, especially, Walmart customers are always rude to the employees. If you guys would greet them friendly and not talk down to them then they'd be friendly with you. I go here every week and I've never had an employee been rude to me because I always greet them pleasantly. They're human beings and they won't know where everything is. I wish the managers would defend their employees more though, I saw a customer yelling at an employee and the manager came over and apologized to the customer instead of asking him to leave the store

Just got back from Guelph Walmart Supercentre and was very disappointed. Yes the prices were lower for the items I was looking for but so was the quality of the goods. I also did some comparison shopping as I'm on a budget and found the majority of items I buy can be 10 cents up to over a dollar more expensive.

I understand that times are very uncertain right now.but security and workers are not assisting at all in fact security at @1pm April9made our visit as customers to the store very difficult by only allowing one of me and my wife into the store. If we were an adult and a child that would be allowable but because we are two senior citizens only one.As I walked past other couples in the storeand watch as other couples were being admited l find myself wondering what gives any one the right to to behave in such an inconsistent arbitrary fashion.some people like to credit front workers but I am sorry, obviously not all can handle the pressure. A lot of people have been laid off but under stress as well,but these people do not need to be dictated to by others on a ego trip. Might I make a request of the store manager in closing is please control the situation because there are a lot of customers in your line ups more than willing to have a job to go to if given the opportunity.

It's annoying to have security check my receipt when all my stuff is in bags. If you want to check the date on my receipt that's fine but what is the point when you have people walking out of the store with full carts and nobody taking a second to even care alarms going off and everything!!!

Staff aren't the friendliest or most helpful - especially customer service. Some of the products seem to have been tampered with/used so be aware before purchasing. Look past those cons and this location could be your one-stop shop for all your necessities. They have a grocery section, clothing, home, pharmacy, and automotive. A McDonalds and Mr.Lube is attached to the building too.

Had to stand in line for over 15 minutes at check out. When there is that many people in the store they need to open more registers to speed up the process a little.

Walmart is taking advantage of shoppers during this pandemic. Their prices have sky rocked. I never believed they offered the lowest prices but now shopper you are fooling yourself if you think you are getting the best price. I heard they don't price match anymore. Disgusting company.

Huge supercenter for a Walmart. A one stop shop here. From fresh produce to baby items can be found here. You have to chase down a staff here if you need to ask question. Otherwise, the merchandise can be easily found. One good thing about walmart is they price match from competitor's flyers. Plenty of parking spaces available.

Just tried to call both locations in guelph, no one answered any of the 7 calls. If you need to get ahold of someone press 2 for electronics, they seem to be the only ones that pick up. I don't want to try and call another location so I am ordering on Amazon even though its 10$ more. Thanks

Paid for a package in March 2016. Finally got pictures taken end of April 2016 after hounding everyday. Still do not have prints (end of July 2016). Supposed to get a free monthly photo session with purchase. 5 months have gone by (almost 6) and haven't been able to get pictures from original shoot let alone my free monthly session for a year. No one ever gets back to me when they say they will.

Found everything I wanted, product wasn't the issue. My problem with this visit was when I was looking for fire starters. I asked a Walmart employee by the name of Judith for help. From the start she was rude. Made me feel like I was a nuisance, her attitude and tone of voice was not pleasant in the slightest.

I gotta say, I love Walmart. It has pretty much everything you need in one place for fair prices. There isn't a place out there that is cheaper or more convenient. It's amazing. Staff here are great. Place is clean, orderly, and easy to navigate through. Will definitely be coming back!

I try to avoid this location as there are many questionable looking people who shop here. Always have to show receipt upon leaving which probably has to do with theft but considering the customers who shop here I can understand why. The selection of products are never good, very basic shopping is all you can do in the grocery section.

I was at walmart on highway #6 guelph Ontario and I had something happen to me, which I went into customer service to help me fix. They couldn't in their store so they called customer service for me which also couldn't help. But they never gave up and contacted their manager which listened to what had happened and after hearing it he made everything right, which was so much more then I could had ever hoped to happen! thank you to everyone envoled

My car was towed away at this location. Got $265 bill from a towing company. Towed to Richmond Hill 30 km away. Nice job Walmart! Wondering what agreement you have with that towing company? Was told by security even though you shop in Walmart and after leaving WM premises go by foot somewhere else (for example to another shop) your car colud be towed away. Very strange way to treat customers. Have to reconsider shopping at Walmart now. There are many other shops where I can get same products at same prices.
