Everything that you've dreamt this experience to be. I had the opportunity to have two seperate appointments at Tilted Veil; one with my bridesmaids and one with my mom, and I'm now trying to find an excuse for a third. Once you soak in the beautiful decor and the stunning dresses you'll get to try on, I love how the studio is yours for your appointment. This means you're not sharing dresses with other brides or waiting for a bride to be done with the dress you've been eyeing for your entire appointment. This means that you can be completely you when trying on the dresses with no reservations walking out of your (beautiful) change room if the dress doesn't fit 100% or if you're trying on a new style and hesitant if its you. Most importantly, this gives you the opportunity to have those special moments with your group that noone else can overhear. The dresses. I love how the studio caries various bridal sizes and various designers. For any bride; classic, modern, boho, you'll walk into the studio and think it was designed just for you. A great job in ensuring each dress is unique so you have as many options as possible. Customization. This is a game changer. I absolutely loved how I could ask if I could make a cap sleeve, long or if I liked a designer and wondered if I could combine a top from one dress and the skirt of another dress, it was one call to the designer to inquire. The overall experience is one where you feel so special; and you should feel like that, you're getting married!

The experience was so different from the typical bridal boutique. Heather was personal, caring, and welcoming. She has very in depth knowledge of each collection she has and they are very unique, modern, and fitted for all style and personality. Tilted Veil and Heather are amazing! She is so down to earth, honest, and really makes you feel comfortable. This was by far my best bridal shop experience. The shop is so cute, has a great selection, and Heather feels like an instant friend thats helping you try on dresses at home. Theres no pressure, no rush, and no expectations. Heather was an absolute pro! Titled Veil was on my must visit list for a while now and as the saying goes - I unintentionally saved the best for last. I came in after trying on a few dresses and openly admitted I was leaning towards 2 other dresses I had previously tried on from other stores. Heather asked all the right questions, was super thoughtful and meticulously pulled beautiful and jaw dropping dresses - so many got me in the feels. But then there was THE DRESS! BRIDES!!! Where do I even begin!? I cannot even express how incredible my experience was with Tilted Veil! I scheduled an appointment online which was super easy and invited my mom, brother and one of my best friends to come with me. We had planned an entire day of dress shopping and by the end I was pretty tired and the dresses started to all look so similar. I found a few that could “maybe” be the dress but nothing I knew for certain was. Our last stop was Tilted Veil. We walked in and right away everyone was thinking the same thing, “there is no way she’s finding her dress here”, including myself. Tilted Veil is a smaller boutique with what seems like a smaller selection of dresses. DON’T BE FOOLED! When I started to go through the racks their dresses were BEAUTIFUL! Such a unique collection! Heather was so great and asked all the right questions! She helped me choose a few that she felt was what I was looking for and of course the very last one I tried on was THE ONE! I went back a second time try it on once more a couple of weeks later just to be sure and my feelings didn’t change. I never once felt rushed, un-welcomed or pushed to purchase anything. Heather is honest, helpful and very passionate about what she does. I booked an appointment to try on the dress with plans to have all of my bridesmaids, mom, sister and mother in law there with me to celebrate saying “yes to the dress!” Heather was so sweet! I first discovered Tilted when my mom was looking around for a wedding dress. Long story short, she had one that she felt pressured to buy and did not feel confident in. That's where Heather came in. After a few appointments, my mom finally found the dress she wanted. Fast forward a year and a bit, it was my turn to shop and Tilted was my first stop. Heather gave me the same grace, knowledge and ease knowing that I could try on whatever I wanted but would still give me an honest opinion. Needless to say we also purchased my dress there. When I had made my appointment I wasn't too sure about the style of dress I was looking for and was willing to try on any dress to find "the one". She was able to get me an appointment and we were off. I could not thank her enough for all her help! Tilted Veil was the second store in the area I tried, and where I ended up with my dream dress. I'm a little late with my review, but everything was amazing. I had an appointment in July 2020 and picked my dress up in December 2020. Given the COVID restrictions at that time, I was only able to bring my mother, but the experience was still so amazing. Even though it was just the two of us and Heather, it still felt so special and like a little private party. The environment is relaxed and fun. Heather goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome and appreciated. I knew I wanted sleeves on my dress, but other than that I didn't have much of an idea. Heather was great, showing me the different options and possibilities without it feeling overwhelming. I chose a beautiful Rebecca Schoneveld dress and if I could I would wear it again and again and again. I highly recommend Tilted Veil to anyone who is looking to find their dream dress!!

As soon as I told the lady my budget was 2k she immediately ignored me and passed me to her assistant who put me in all the gowns I told her weren’t my style. Then when I tried them on and told her I didn’t think they looked good on me she said it’s because I “wasn’t wearing enough makeup”. As an older, second-time bride, I was resistant to the traditional wedding gown full of bling and baubles. I was looking for something chic and elegant, with a hint of fun. As soon as I walked in to Tilted Veil, I knew Heather would take care of me. I can’t say enough positive things about Tilted Veil and the lovely owner of this boutique – Heather. I purchased my dress from Tilted Veil in November 2018 and had such an amazing, comfortable experience leading up to my final decision. First, the website is super easy to navigate and the ability to book a private appointment online is fantastic and convenient. On my first appointment, I was lucky to be greeted by both Heather and her lovely Mom (who was in town that day). They made me and my family feel so comfortable – it was a really special day. I ended up trying on quite a few dresses, and was feeling good about one of them, but knew I needed to “sleep on it.” I did not feel pressured at all and Heather was very quick to welcome us back when we were ready. The boutique is just BEAUTIFUL. It is so well designed – such a special space and a very convenient location (downtown Guelph). Racks of the most dreamy dresses line the two main walls. While there are not hundreds of dresses to choose from, the selection was probably the best I had experienced out of the other boutiques I had visited. There were some classic, timeless dresses as well as some more trendy/current options. It’s clear that Heather took a lot of care and consideration in selecting the designers that she stocks. I decided to stop by again during my lunch one day to try on the dress “alone” (sometimes too many perspectives can be overwhelming, and I did find that when I went with a large “entourage”). Heather was super understanding and accommodating. Amazingly, while I went back to try on only one specific dress, Heather put me in a different dress and.. well.. it was THE ONE! Somehow we had missed it the first time, but I am so glad I went back. I knew that I couldn’t have the “say yes” moment without my family seeing me in the dress, so I booked one final appointment to bring my family along and said “yes to the dress” (more like “ABSOLUTELY”). I also purchased my veil and a belt to accessorize my dress from Tilted Veil and again, both of these items were Heather’s initial suggestions. Overall, the experience was not stressful at all and I did not once feel rushed or pressured. Thank you so much Heather for making this such an amazing, special experience for me (and my Mom and Grandma). Ladies, if you are planning a wedding, you MUST stop by Tilted Veil. You will not be disappointed.

I had a morning appointment at Tilted Veil to try on dresses for their sample sale. The dresses seemed reasonably priced for samples! Heather recommended I try a dress even though I didn't like it on the hanger. Once I put it on I loved it - I'm so glad I took her suggestion! I had another appointment to try on what I thought was my dream dress, and Heather was totally understanding about this. She told me that she had openings after my appointment at the other salon and that I could give her a call if I wanted to come back and try the dress on again. In the end, I purchased the dress Heather recommended I try! Heather clearly knows bridal - she was able to talk me through what alterations which could be made to the dress and suggested taking fabric from the lining of the train to line the bodice! The shop creates the perfect initmate atmosphere as they only take one bridal party at a time which allows for undivided attention. I initially went to Tilted Veil, as they were one of the only places that carried a particular line of dresses I was interested in. It was the first wedding dress appointment I went to along with my best friend and my Mom. Heather was upfront and honest about my budget and only pulled dresses that were close to it, which was super helpful and made sure I didn’t fall in love with something I couldn’t afford. Every single dress she carried was incredibly high quality and absolutely beautiful. We chatted about backup “covid plans” and what that might mean for a particular style of dress if we did end up changing our plans. I ended up going with a dress line that I didn’t even consider in the beginning and now that we’ve changed our wedding plans twice since, I’m so glad I listened to Heathers advice. I did end up going to a couple more places to compare dresses, however NOTHING compared to the quality and atmosphere at Tilted Veil. I live in Toronto and found a lot of boutique shops overpriced with extremely pushy sales staff. If you want to keep things simple, have a wonderful shopping experience with no pressure, and end up with a beautiful, high quality gown… go see Heather. You will not be disappointed!

The space and the dresses are both dream worthy, and my love for this shop was solidified once I met Heather, the shop owner. Instead of a business transaction, Heather made everyone feel extremely comfortable and after trying on a dress or two I felt as if I was just hanging out with an old friend.
