I'm giving this store a 5 star rating for one experience we had when we were buying a basil plant that had been put on sale for 99 cents, yet was in very bad shape, very dried out. The clerk gave it to us at no charge saying it really needed some tender loving care. We gave it that and it revived. So nice, though, that a clerk was able to do this without having to get permission from some supervisor. That's a little thing that goes a long way, in that we are far more likely to continue to purchase items here.

Even though at times, I feel like manager is following me around. Which is strange considering I'm not doing anything that should warrant me getting followed around like that. Another time I walked through the store quickly since I was in a hurry and only looking for one thing. I didn't reallize my sons medicine I got from the pharmacy had all leaked out on the floor until i got to the store and I'm guessing a supervisor came up to me, told me I had to leave the store because I made a mess of his store. I thought that was a little overyboard. Other than that, I don't mind shopping there, They have great prices on everything in the store

This store is like a smaller, knock off version of Walmart. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing because you get can nice clothes and seasonal items for a fraction of the cost at other places. I got a beautiful planter pot here that makes me so happy and my gym shoes I paid $15 for that always get me compliments, plus they are comfy and still look brand new which is more than what I can say for some big name brand shoes I've had in the past. The check out needs to have a bit more room imo, the drinks are in kind of a terrbile spot, as you see them as you're on your way out and you don't want to have to wait in line all over again.

My mom’s friend heard of a sale from Tiger and she purchased Butchers Selection Stampede Pork Back Ribs from this place a couple of weeks ago without realizing that the best before date was August 2015. She gave my mom two boxes, I ended up with one and was about to eat it when I saw the expiry date. We are July 2020 and they are selling expired food from 2015. Stay away from this place or if you must go, check the expiry date on the food items.

My online shopping experience with this store has become a nightmare of sorts. Nothing but stress since first getting my order confirmation. When ordering the items were showing as being in my local store. They weren't ! When I received my order confirmation, they stated estimated next day pick-up. It's now been over 50 hrs. and nothing! One of the items are supposed to be picked up on the 22"nd actually but that was checked off as being in store when I ordered. Their customer service has just called after I put in a ticket for a full refund and they are just saying the order is partially ready. Even though I am supposed to wait for a confirmation email to go to the store which I haven't received yet. Again misleading! Oh and I almost forgot. Right after placing my order I was taken to a screen that stated charges were to come after pick-up at store but they've already charged me! Do not order online from these people as the right hand has no clue what the left is doing and what you see on their online website for ordering is all totally misleading!

Not only was I witnessed to two senior women not following your mandatory mask rule, I just had one of your employees look at me and “that’s nothing, we had a family of six in here not wearing masks either” then walked away without confronting the women not wearing masks. What’s the point of the signs on your doors if your employees aren’t going to enforce the rule stated??? Customers should be forced to wear a mask or leave the establishment.PERIOD! Who doesn't like Giant Tiger, honestly? Everything you need under one roof and it's not a huge overwhelming store. Prices are low. Clothing is the cheapest price. The Whitby store is always clean and organized and the staff are friendly. Clearance racks are always good deals. Picked up a shirt today for $7 that anywhere else would be $25. Nice grocery area with fresh meats and good veggies. Lots of frozen foods. Weekly specials for pantry items. Really nice home area with carpets, cushions, accessories, etc. Great deals and quick shopping.

I really love this store.. decent pricing for clothes but I did notice that prices have went up in the past couple years.. I find food prices to be cheap.. definitely recommend doing ur groceries there.. they also have the best prices for cigarettes.. the only thing they're missing is beer as they dont sell that.. it's a place where u go and can shop for food.. clothes.. house items.. etc.. in 1 stop!
