We were very disappointed with the customer service. We went in to return 2 items that were new with tags with a receipt (bought less than 3 weeks ago) and the customer service personnel was very rude and unpleasant. We returned our items but we will go to another Carter's store to buy new items.

Shopping there was one of the highlights of my day. I had my 5 year old and my two year old (who had fallen asleep on my shoulder) with me. The play area kept my older child happily occupied, and as soon as the staff noticed I was carrying my sleeping toddler, they waited on me hand and foot. They helped me carry my items, directed me to what I was looking for, offered to tally my order so I knew how much I had left on my gift card and scoured the store for dinosaur shirts. They were so happy and willing to help I am so glad I did my shopping with them. On top of the exceptional service, the clothes are great and the prices very reasonable. A great store!

I have been in a few times. The store is your average Carter’s, alsways nice stuff. The older lady is nice but the younger person with dark hair was not nice to me at all. I can in to return some things and got nothing but attitude. I was nine months pregnant and returning some things I got from my baby shower. She acted as if I was doing something wrong and kept giving me a hard time. I ended up not returning anything and leaving the store. I came from an hour away just to go to this store and was very disappointed, I won’t be returning.

The staff was pleasant however they have no selection for premie clothing which is super disappointing as the hospital in town has a NICU. So when I asked about a new shipment they explained to me that they probably won’t get much in and if they do people come in and buy it all for dolls. Love the clothes but won't shop at the Winnipeg Kenaston location ever again. The staff are very rude and more interested in getting off work than helping customers. We arrived at 5:25 pm and started browsing. 2 staff members at the front door were talking very loudly about how it was almost closing time and that they didn't care how many people were still in the store at closing time. They were kicking them out and all leaving on time together. One of the staff went to the back and turned off the overhead music at 10 minutes to 6 and the other girl yelled out across the floor what a good idea that was. Door girl then called out to her that she had locked the door. It wasn't even 6 on yet. We purchased items and left before closing time. On my exit I told the girl at the door that she wouldn't have to kick me out because I was leaving on time. This was only the store's first or second day open after being closed for 2 months due to COVID.

I tried to hold off on writing such a negative review, but this is now the 2nd time I've left the store and put everything back and immediately walked out because of the staff. The first time, a staff member was visibly annoyed that I brought my kids... into a kids store....imagine that...they weren't acting out or anything, I even had my mom with me to make sure they weren't being disruptive. Anytime I would ask the staff member a question she'd sigh and generally point into the direction that it could be. Quite honestly, she looked miserable and I felt bad for asking her any sort of questions. Today, I went in asking, what I thought was a reasonable question, about winter gear, I was greeted with attitude and essentially told that I should have known that the sale already happened a few weeks back, and that next time I should check online to know when the sales are. First of all, a lot of the times, the online sales are different than the stores, second, I haven't been to Carters in a VERY long time because of my other experience mentioned. As you may have guessed, I put the winter gear down and promptly left saying I'd shop elsewhere. Ended up finding what I needed elsewhere, with much friendlier staff.

I had a very bad experience with this branch of carters. I bought a paid of slippers for my son and when he wore it at home he found out that it was torn from behind. I took it after two days to exchange it with a new one but the two ladies there impolitely said that we cannot accept damaged items. You should have been careful when you bought that. They refused to exchange it. Their costumer service was not professional. They did not respect customer’s right. I thought I prefer not to discuss with a worker and ask my husband to fix the slippers. If he couldn’t, I would email the central branch or would talk to their supervisor. Anyhow, try their other branches or be very careful when you buy something in the Park Royal location. And for the company, hopefully you will see the review, I recommend you educate your workers how to respect customers before hiring them.
