Good selection of clothes however store is cramped and cluttered. I usually end up having to come twice as I can’t look through clothes, shoes and toys at once. No room for strollers in the aisle. Clothing is overpriced. I can rarely purchase sleepers from here as they are far too worn. A lot of outdated, worn out things for sale. When I try to bring in top brands, hardly worn, they don’t even take the good stuff lol. If I try to resell anything I purchased from their store and didn’t use, they don’t take it back because it’s “outdated or not gently worn” lol. They are always asking for baby gear but they buy for peanuts and that’s why they’re always looking. I can generally shop the sales on new items and score prices just $1-5 more than what they sell used for.

Disorganized overcrowded store with poor customer service. You would think a store that relies on people bringing you merchandise would care more about keeping their customers happy. I have been a semi regular customer at this store for a few years and it is always difficult to find merchandise, often sizes are on the wrong racks, shoes are all in big bins and while sometimes I can appreciate the hunt sometimes it's very frustrating. All the baby items are in big bins and impossible to find what you are looking for. Today I finally had had enough when I was trying to find some cloth diapers and everything was all randomly torn apart and I finally found a set of cloth diapers that were all in a bag that was torn but I assumed they went together because they were all the same brand. I brought the bag and some pieces that were loose in the bin to purchase them the manager refused to sell any of them because she claimed that someone had gone through the bins and tried to make their own bags so I could not purchase any of the diapers. She would not even offer to look at what I was trying to buy to give me a price on it and said they would not sell any of it until she re-sorted through the whole box. And don't even bother trying to sell clothes here, I take them straight out of the dryer put them in a plastic bag, and get told that they can't accept any of it because of "pet hair". I give up not worth wasting your time when Old Navy has better prices and customer service than this.

Do not waste your time going there!!!! The girls there are very not nice, and definitely not helpful! Out of about a 100 clothes, all for 4 to 5 years old, most of them are brand new, they selected 7pc (but not the new once) and telling me they can't take the rest bcos they are bigger sizes???? Or the quality was bad???? So I end up with washing 2 hours with driving to location and waiting in store to finish pricing the clothes and got $0 dollar back... Thanks for this! Terrible customer service and a lot of wasted time and money... Shame on you guys!!! Really!!!!!!

Watched as the employee barely went through an entire bin of baby girl clothing. She literally only looked at the top of what was in the bin and then when I was watching her she put her hand deeper into the bin. I made sure to only put in the bin clothing that wasn’t stained and gently used. I waited 45 minutes. 45 minutes I will never get back. They took 13 items. There was probably close to 70 items. I could probably make more selling the bin on Facebook marketplace. Lesson painfully learned.

It's a good place to recycle gently used children's clothes and toys. They will pay relatively well for what they take, everything has to be perfectly clean and nearly new. If you're buying, because they are so picky about what they take in, you're getting something nice. Some of the best deals we've found there are on American Girl accessories.

A place to sell or offer up your gently worn clothes it's not much fund, but I rather have a dollar for clothes than throwing them out and not getting anything for it. What can you say? I was going to throw out my daughter's clothes, but google searched how I could sell my used garments, found this place got our trade my daughter called my small pocket change, and I am happy another family will have the stuff my daughter has grown out of or items she didn't even get to wear.

Staff was not welcoming. Prices were very high in comparison to other once upon a child stores and for quality of clothes. They also do not donate your clothes to any charity. That is a massive reason for me personally. Do not reccomend this location.

Awful service. Those girls care more about themselves then customers. I enjoyed listening to a whole half hour of the front cashier joke about a missing receipt. She asked me if I wanted to wait in store or they will call me when they are done. 2 hours later I returned for them to tell me they have not even started my order and that walk ins become first. So I asked her if that made sense being that no one advised me of this before leaving. She half smiled and told me she would start right away. 35 mintues later... She did not even move towards my bin. Very disorganized. Needless to say I LEFT WITHOUT money and my kids garbage bag of clothes. Sad. Thought it was chartible. Do not go to this location.

I visit this store often for clothes and toys for our little one. They do a great job sorting, posting new special items online and will hold something if you call in for up to 3 hours. While the wait in line can be long during big events, like the recent winter outdoor launch, it's worth it when you're getting such great product at such amazing prices!

This is one of the best places to go for secondhand, gently used and new clothes as well as used baby gear. When they have deals going on you can get quite a bit for just a little amount of money which is perfect for any struggling or thrifty family. The building inside is a little cramped with the stuffed hangers but not impossible to navigate. I wouldnt recommend bringing a huge stroller in. The staff are friendly as well.

Used to be very impressed with OUAC, but they've made it far too difficult to navigate the store safely with a stroller and accompanying children due to the tight aisles. Equipping the store with decent carts would be beneficial. The prices are also rising, making it only a deal to shop used if you take advantage of their major sales. Otherwise sales for new items at The Children's Place and Old Navy online rival and sometimes totally beat the prices of Once Upon A Child.

Might be a decent place to shop but I would recommend selling your own baby items (swings, playpens, baby seats etc..) I sold a travel basinette that my baby used as a newborn, and a swing that she never took too. No stains, rips or missing pieces. They gave me $52 for both. When brand new they each separatley cost over $140. I'm new to this and this wasnt a great first time experience, I wasnt expecting dollar for dollar but certainly at least $40-45 a piece I'd be happy with, not $26. And being new to this I had no idea what to say or how to object they took my items like it was a done deal before handing me my money and I feel ripped off, so I'm creating this review to prevent future parents from being taken advantage of.

Good items to buy, but as a consignment they don't always take what they advertise they take. For example, I brought in a baby bathing suit amidst other items, it was returned to me with other rejected items while they told me they were now looking for things like bathing suits. Clearly they weren't or they didn't actually look through the bag.

Staff were rude to my mother and I. Barely received any $$ for the items they chose to take of my items. I brought all my items in nicely folded and the lid could easily fit on the bin. When I got it back the lid couldn't fit on the bin and everything was just thrown in haphazardly. It's a strong never again for me.

I brought in bags of clearly separated items as per season and age, the bags I got back were completely random, a complete mess, winter is in with summer, they took half of outfits, leaving me shirts with no pants making it difficult to try to resell anywhere else, and gave me only about $1 an item, I left feeling robbed, I will never sell clothes to them again, and I regret selling what I have....

I love that you can buy second hand. But the store is a disaster.. I bring clothes in to have them bought off me. They dont put anything back in the totes nice. I understand they are moving quickly, though I can't even close my tote after they bought stuff off me . Super disappointed in the way they just toss my items they don't want back in. Also how they separate my outfits after being asked not to... not sure I will be back. We have shopped here lots but after this being the 2nd time . They have lost my business.

Whoever gives more then a star to this place is a fake review or confused person. This is a modern day scam, they preying on people that need kids stuff. Today I visited this place with my wife and found Walmart items for 30 percent more expensive. Baby clothing is double to triple then Value Vilage for same condition used stuff. Stroller they have is same price or bit more expensive then Walmart and they offer only 7 days warranty and Walmart gives 90 days money back. I asked today for a brand new booster seat they had it was priced at 30$ And I showed cashier Walmart.ca price 20$ She told me yeah some items are more expensive here cause people that price them sometimes price them high. Don’t waste time here. This is a trift shop with variety of kids items priced at ridiculously high price. Will never come again here nor will recomand this place to anyone. I recomand stay away from hustlers and scammers.

Been to several consignment stores and by far my favourite store/location. It's well organized and stocked up nicely (even had some challenges picking off the racks they have an abundance of selections)! Found the pricing to ve extremely reasonable and consistent. Friendly staff as well. Definitely will be returning here for future buys. Only disappointment is that the aisles aren't entirely accessible - stroller/wheelchair friendly, mainly towards the bathroom, cash area, and toy section.

Very disappointed in the customer service. The manager and the owner were both very rude. I will not be buying from this store again. Plus the store is crowded and not organized in the toy department. It is all over the floor and it is a mess! I tried to look for some things my boys like and I couldn't even get to the bins. Katharine took the time to ensure that I understood which items would not qualify for the multiple item discount because of sizing, and she also took the time to show me where specialty items were located- never knew there were cloth diapers for sale! Passed by Once Upon A Child on a Saturday afternoon. I had only previously gone to the one on bay view and Eglinton. When I stepped into this one I was extremely disappointed. The store was a mess! Clothes on the floor, bins all over the floor making it very hard to walk (store is cramped to begin with)-just overall really messy-to the point that I went in and walked straight out.

Their standards for what they accept are very high and the prices are reasonable 99% of the time. On another note if you have good condition used kids clothing. You could totally bring it here and possibly get some money back Which is a bonus!! Especially with how fast kids grow out of things. #1: the store is a huge mess all the time... can't get through isles with a stroller, or just single walking. #2: the staff is rude and unprofessional. They wear really revealing clothing (for working in a children's store) and have personal conversations out load around customers and children. They pay no attention to who's in the store #3: they play inappropriate music for the targeted customers and their children. #4: they're always "over stocked" and barely buy any of your items. Always call ahead! I had a big bag of clothes and they took 5 items. #5: I find the store over priced for used junk. I live close to this location and was excited when it opened because I was pregnant. I've been there a handful of times and hated it every time I went. Alas... I would rather by second hand than brand new for a fast growing kid... but I just get so turned off at this place. I'd rather hit up value village, they have better sales too.

I have only heard bad things about selling clothes to this store so would not recommend if you're looking for any real cash for your used kids clothes BUT if you're willing to donate either way then it would be worth your time to take items there.

This location is horrible. I went there in September with a huge tote bin of stuff. Not only were the young girls there rude and extremely ignorant but literally gave me attitude for dropping off so much stuff. Then to top it off, they only took half the clothes and gave me barely anything for what they took. U could tell they just didn't want to sort anymore and said "forget it" at half. I live in Toronto but prefer to go to this store instead of the 3 stores in Toronto. This store is much larger than the ones in Toronto. The staff is way more friendly and helpful (I've told the management twice). They have a large selection of used toys, clothes, books, etc. They also have some new/unused items. They have special liquidation events where you can get things even cheaper than their regular sale price. They make sure whatever you bring in is clean (No smudges or wear-and-tear). No batteries are included in their toys. They won't take clothes that don't sell well. They give loyalty points (1 point for every $20 bought/sold to them). It used to be that 20 points gets you 20% off your entire purchase but in Aug 2017 when they converted to use Vincinity, it now takes 40 points to get 20% off.

Worst once upon a child I have ever been to!! I bought rubber boots with holes in both of them. A pair of pants with the tag saying "4t" but when I looked on the tag on the inside it said baby! A pair of shoes that said size 8 on the tag but when I got home and looked on the inside it said size 7. Clearly the people working there don't check items thourghly and can't seem to size items properly! Never going there again!!!

This place is a disaster... it is completely over-stuffed. They need to stop accepting clothes and items and sell some of it first! There are folded up strollers and infant tubs spilling out into the already narrow aisles, the clothing racks are so densely packed that it's difficult to move the hangers to see each article. I'm all for second hand items, but if it were more organized and a little less claustrophobic in there, I'd spend more time and actually get a closer look at everything in there! Edit: employees seemingly hate their jobs. I was waiting to buy one item and two girls behind the counter folding clothes. They looked at each other and laughed. Then one of them finally rolled her eyes and came over to cash me out. Oh and the washrooms were appalling.

An interesting experience. While they have a large selection of gently used baby items, the store appears crammed with items and disorganized. Besides the physical appearance, you can’t beat the prices on some items. Customer service is non-existant however and I can see why. During a recent visit, the team leader/manager named “Duff” was barking orders and shaming his employees right in front of customers. The staff appeared embarrassed and upset. I can see why the store appears uncared for and there’s a lack of service, low employee moral is defenitly a factor here. I genuinely feel bad for the employees. Overall, the time spent in this store is dismal to say the least. I think management needs a lesson in positive intent and how to behave around employees and customers for that matter.

I have mixed experiences with this location. I have found some great things here over the years and have been a semi regular customer since it opened. My feedback is mostly around the buying process. I hope that they can find some way to be more consistent when purchasing items. I find the buying process to be extremely inconsistent. I have brought things in, and thought "wow, they bought all of that". Other times, I have had items that they refuse to buy for a tiny tiny mark. The buyer had a hard time finding the tiny mark again to point out to me. The section I was looking to purchase in, while I waited, had way bigger stains and flaws/marks on the clothes than what I had, and truthfully, some of the stuff I had brought in was in better condition. It leaves me confused. When I asked the lady about it, she explained that it depends on the buyer. I understand subjectivity, but there should be some work done in terms of consistency. One item in particular they refused to buy, was never even worn by my son and was purchased from their store three weeks ago. It was the exact same condition as when I bought it....so I can't figure that one out. Also, I would caution to be aware of some price points here. If you catch a good sale, brands like George, Old Navy and Children's Place can often be purchased brand new at the store for around the same price brand new.

I brought them 5 bags of almost new kids clothes and 1 bag of toys. Some items had been worn couple of times only - we got them new from our rich relative in Vancouver. There were sturdy Ecco goretex shoes in great condition among the stuff. They only took 1 item and paid me $3. The rest they said was worn or stained. ???? Today I brought in a large garbage bag of clothing. All items were clean, name brands and in excellent condition, I made sure to take out anything with to much wear and donated to a local charity. I waited over an hour and only 3 items were taken totalling 5$. I was told my other garments were too worn. Total bull! I placed the 5$ towards my purchase and left with my large bag of clothes. I decided to take them to the OAC in Stoney Creek where almost everything else was taken and I was given just under $40. I will never return to this location, it was a total waste of time and gas. Clearly the person doing the purchasing needs retraining. The store was also jam packed and the shoe section was completely disorganized. I'll never go back.

Worst Customer Service ever. It's a children place and no smile is given with any of the counter staff. Brought in a couple bag of clothing and at the end they only picked 11 items and told us that they were overstocked. Could of explained this before lugging the bag on the counter. We were in the store while they sorted through the clothes. They knew who we were and they knew we were waited for results. I noticed they were done, because the lady was focusing on another task. But I wasn't sure, so we waited and waited and waited, patiently. Finally I looked over and ask if they were done. And they were, like long ago. There weren't many people in the store. What does it take to notify us that they were done? NOT friendly at all. I always say if don't like your job, don't be in it. Not going to this location again. Give it a 1 because I had too.

I use this to sell my end of the line items. If I've already tried to sell on my own, and would rather get a few bucks than nothing at all. Clothes are the hardest to sell, I would not bother unless you have good condition coats or shoes in season. Beware that part of the tactic is to make you wait so that you end up buying something as well! Call ahead to find out if they need your item to avoid disappointment and/or a wasted visit.

Brought in two full bags of excellent used items, some never used and they didn't take one item and I did not get an explanation why, which is against their policy. Not a word was said to me. I honestly dont even think they looked as it looked the exact same when as how I placed them in. Freshly washed and no pet hair, and we don't smoke. \so i'm assuming the employees were just lazy tonight. I'm also disgusted that they refuse to let children use the washroom. It's a children store for crying out loud. I always hear such bad things about this location and they have lost me as customer (and everyone on my Facebook apparently) This store is a scam, Walmart leggings that sell for $4 and they are selling for $5.50?? But they wont take my Old Navy items that have never been used? Get out of here. Also, there was a girl behind the counter on her phone. Update your standards and hire some more polite employees.

The prices here for used children clothes can be quite high at times. If your looking to sell any clothing (which they promote & have the option of) don't be surprised if 95% of the clothing you bring gets denied because all they want is "Name Brand" clothes and "In Style" which is ridiculous not only that they also low-ball you and offer you a dollar for a piece of clothing if your lucky and then they go and sell it for triple the price; I understand that is how this business works but its definitely not worth your time and effort to sell clothes here just go be generous and donate it elsewhere instead.

First off this is a review from when I was in there looking for items. Most of the clothes were so worn out that I wouldnt even put my child in, secondly the customer service I received was horrible and I felt like a terrible mom being in there. It so disorganized, which makes finding anything difficult. Staff should show more urgency to customer line ups. Often customers literally start forming a line down the aisle which makes it more difficult for other customers to shop. When you really look at the majority of their product they are priced the same and as a customer you want to a difference in mass market brands such as George from walmart or Joe fresh compared to more expensive brands. The value village next door does a better job of showing price variance.

Unclear as to why they turned down many nice and in good shape clothing. They waste your time. The worker sees me come in with 3 bags in total. One large bag but its only a 1/4 full and 2 grocery size bags. So not really that full. I get a form to fill out and got it filled out in full. The worker comes back to me and tells me that since I had so much that they can't take it at 5pm. I let her know my displeasure with this since she could have said just hold on and let me check and see if we can still accept new clothes. She didn't do that and I was made to fill out the whole form and then she came back to me and told me she/they couldn't and she even supposdly spoke to 2 managers. I only saw 1 other worker there so who was the second manager?? This place is not the greatest too. The spacing of this place is so tight and is really hard to move around. Your better off by selling your stuff else where.

I love this store! I often find clothes that have original tags still on. Very well priced and I don’t worry about my kids wearing through what I bought. A great place to find #oilers jerseys for WAY less.

Absolutely amazing store for any parent out there! Good for school shopping good for snow suits I'm always going there for shoes and boots and sandals. I have four children who never complain about the clothes that I bring home from there they do an amazing job and they only accept clothes that are in excellent used condition!

I like this place, never had any rude service. They take what they take and it’s fair. Selection is just ok but I never left that place empty handed. I was actually surprised to find some great toys there this week.

This has got to be the WORST store in Ontario. Every single employee is snotty and rude. I have had great experiences at the St. Catharines location. Every single visit to the Niagara Falls location is unpleasant. Will never visit NF OUAC ever again. I hope this location gets boarded up.

Very unprofessional and rude. After hearing the so called "key holder" "Crystal" call my wife rude/inconsiderate because we couldn't take all the stuff back in one trip I had to take the phone and speak to her myself. We have dealt with them several times and have never had an issue. I look forward to speaking to a Manager on Monday as I don't appreciate anyone addressing my wife like or myself in her tone/manner. She even told me how quick I should be able to get to and from my home to pick up the rest of the goods.

I will never shop here again! The manager shows zero compassion and flat out lies!! I lost my stroller and found out that a woman had gone in to sell a stroller matching the description of mine. When I called and asked about a stroller (describing mine), the manager did not go check and then lied to me and said they haven't bought a stroller in several days. Well we went to look anyway and there was my stroller. And on the tag it says it was bought 2 days ago, just like I had told her on the phone. When running a store selling children's clothing and accessories, you are required to show compassion. This should be a loving environment but you do not get that at this store.

This is a good place to buy affordable used children's clothes. I went here to look for kids books and found lots to choose from. The place seems clean and decently laid out, but is nothing fancy.
