Great selection of clothing and friendly staff! Prices are great also! Change rooms could be swept out.
Went inside to see if they had vintage rock tshirts. Stood the counter for a couple minutes while the attendant chatted on her mobile the entire time, ignoring a customer, ME! I walked out.

This store has lots of items, and a downstairs full of more vintage clothing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unique place to buy vintage clothing. Also as well has friendly staff.
A great place to find lost of fun vintage clothing! You don't always find exactly what you're looking for just because clothes rotate pretty regularly.
Really cool vintage store with super friendly staff!
i love this place, its exactly how shops were in the 70-80's before everything became stupidly the same.. i just got a trench coat that is awesome,wk before a fab kimona
Unique fashion and great price good quality as well like new quality
Cool overpriced second hand clothing
Find the name brands without the prices
My friend bought too many Jean jackets
Great selection of name brand clothes for way less. Also love all the vintage clothing.
Second hand store heaven.
Your “Pretty Woman” or “Man” Victoria experience is only possible at the Patch. Don’t bother thrifting when you can find all your style needs met here with bogo sales and excellent prices. A fun, quintessential Victoria experience!
Located the patches , they are at the checkout counter .
I did not care for any of the sales associates there tonight. All were very unprofessional in their own ways. I don't normally feel this way when shopping at The Patch, but I felt compelled to write a review tonight because the three young women working were just not likeable whatsoever. Very unrefined. I would recommend they all be coached on the essentials of customer service. Update: tried very hard to shop there today but the music was so terrible, I had to leave. I also heard other shoppers complaining about how dreadful it was to shop to and how it was sucking their energy and making it difficult to remain enthusiastic about shopping and they just feel like going home. Wtf
They have some pretty cool vintage clothes/accessories.
Amazing vintage selection, can be a bit pricey. If you’re looking for authentic vintage clothing and accessories this is the place to be.
A little expensive at times but very nice thrift store.
Great spot for curated vintage finds at reasonable prices. Also a great spot if you need a dress with sequins. Sequins galore in the dress section.
I was really excited to see so much great selection when I walked in, and even more excited about how reasonable the prices were. The employees were super sweet as well.
Couple of kids working there now who don't seem to know what variety of products they sell. Seem ripped off their trees, too.
Fun place to look for that one of a kind tshirt
First of all this is NOT a vintage store. For something to be vintage it has to be 20+ years old, most of the items in this store are maybe 5-7 years old, tops. There is a small vintage item area but I'd say 90% of the items here are just used pieces from typical mall stores like H+M, American Eagle, etc. I'd definitely say The Patch is just a overpriced thrift store, you'd be better off going to Value Village, Salvation Army, or WIN. Secondly, this store is VERY claustrophobic. The racks are all very close together that it makes it very hard to walk around, especially with other shoppers trying to get around you. The racks themselves are crammed to the brim with clothing so it is impossible to browse through the clothing because they are so tightly compacted on the racks. MY BIGGEST ANNOYANCE is that NOTHING here is organized by size, only by type(shirt, pants, skirt, dress, etc). I found countless items that I liked but they were all not my size. Shopping here would have been way easier and quicker if they organized the clothing by size. At least actual thrift stores do that. Not only that but it comes off as very lazy; the workers are too lazy to put the clothing in size order and instead just throw it on the rack where ever they can fit it? I've never seen a store not put clothing in size order. The employees there I can't say much about like other reviewers. They didn't greet me or offer to help me when I came in but when I needed a changing room there was an employee nearby who quickly opened a room for me to use. Overall, I will never be going here again. It makes shopping feel like a chore.
This is the "it" store for many local fashionistas. Definitely check them out for genuine levi denim and vintage wear. Save time for the basement full of retro gems!
Fantastic little find!! The prices are extremely reasonable, and there is a large variety of different types of vintage clothing. I wish there was one in Vancouver too!
Great place for unique finds
Very unique find
Holy vintage! This place is a mecca if you love all things old and electic! The space has 2 floors - mens/womens upstair, mostly womens downstairs (dresses/lingerie), with fitting rooms available both upstairs and downstairs. Found some amazing curling sweaters for a great deal - currently all winter items are BOGO free! The staff was helpful, they forgot to remove a security tag from one of my sweaters, but brought it back the next morning and they removed it no problem. I will definitely be hitting this place up every time I am in town!
Great place to find vintage clothing. Lots of stock. Fun place with friendly staff.
Favourite vintage in Victoria. Love the variety
The owner doesn't pay his employees and there are a ton of WorkSafe violations going on. Not a safe place to work or shop. Not accessible for persons with disabilities either!
Huge selection of clothing, something for everyone.
Sweet selections. Unique and beautiful.
Really really cool vintage clothes and amazing sunnies
Lots of selection for Women, not so much for Men.
pretty cool stuff okay price
They have a huge selection of whimsical clothes. I love ???? the store!
Great selection and well priced.
Amazing finds, reasonable prices and phenomenal staff! Worth the trip if you're looking for something funky, functional or both. I came out what the three fab winter sweaters and I was only going in for a browse ????
I've found good finds in this store for a great price. Definitely recommend to shop here!
Great selection of clothes
Well picked selection. Prices are a hair steep for thrifters, but worth the time saving.
Tons of vintage fun! One dress was too expensive, but other two are not, woo woo! I find some great shoes as well but not my size :( Next time in Victoria, I will come back for sure.
Excellent store except for the murder they have done fringing vintage jeans. I found a vintage VS slip so it partially makes up for it. A lot of fun!
Fun! Good variety, great prices!
Has a good inventory and lots of vintage items. Staff is nice, but doesn't usually offer help until you ask. A lot of stuff seams to be priced higher than most other thrift shops. Also has a nice collection of jewelry.
Used to have much better selection still a cool place
I used to really enjoy shopping at The Patch when it was more of a unique used & vintage store. Now you'd be hard pressed to find anything cool or truly vintage. It's tons of newer (past 5-10 years max) clothes at about half retail cost. Even in their downstairs "vintage" section there are tons of newer labels mixed in. It also feels like the prices have risen despite the quality dropping. I don't mind paying a fair amount for an actual vintage label item, but I'm not going to pay more for the same out of fashion 3 year old dress that I could get for less at other regular thrift stores or value village. That being said, the store is very clean and well organized (aside from new clothes being in the vintage section). Staff seem busy keeping things tidy so aren't the most chatty, but it's never been hard to get someone's attention if I had a question. They are usually pretty friendly and seem to know what they're doing. They are also well informed when it comes to their body jewelry selection and the prices for those are the best in town! Lastly, I will add that the store is not the most accessable if you are in a wheelchair or have a stroller. To access downstairs there is a somewhat steep staircase - I did not see any elevator on my last visit. Overall The Patch is worth stopping in at every few months to see if something one of a kind comes in to splurge on or if you enjoy thrifting while visiting different cities.
This shop has SO MUCH! Found some great pieces here. Great prices! It does not seam to be organized very well - i think they just moved- so give yourself some time to search. Friendly staff as well :)
Love them
lovely selection of retro style clothes and very kind staff???? one of my favourite places to shop
I've shopped here many times and loved it. Wonderful staff and variety. Even when there was a small error, the owner was very patient, considerate and generous.
Good
I used to really like this store...until I bought a jumper that had holes throughout. I didn’t notice until I got home, and I can’t even return it. Not to mention it cost $20- used. I think it’s pretty disgraceful to put items on the floor for sale that haven’t been inspected for damages. That’s not my job as a customer- that’s yours.
Was about to pay for a few things when my asthma acted up, asked to use the washroom so I could rinse my inhaler so I wouldn’t have a full blown asthma attack.....girl at the counter told me there aren’t any public washrooms. When I worked at the patch there were public washrooms ! As a matter of fact , about a week ago my fiancé used the washroom there ,too! I remember when I worked there we weren’t allowed to let “skids” as the owner called them into the restroom, so either they’ve changed their polices or I was being profiled and they thought I looked like I would use drugs in the washroom? Luckily I (barely) made to to the bay washroom before I had an asthma attack !! I don’t usually review stores but this was so unkind of them I had to share ???? asthma is life threatening , I’m just glad there was a washroom close by!!
Very cool selection of clothing. Great for the environment to recycle clothing as well :) (It takes about 2700L of fresh water to produce a single T-shirt worth of Cotton)
Really expensive for a thrift store, but good finds!
A great place to browse for a special occasion outfit or accessories, to add a flair to your individual style.
Good selection and turnover. A bit pricey for clothing that sometimes has damage.
Just discovered this place and I've already been back a dozen times. Definitely a go to! They have it all! Cute and friendly staff, dope clothes like 80s windbreakers and sweatshirts, wool sweaters and Levi's. Bought a Army leather bomber jacket the other week so I'm STOKED. Thanks guys!
The Patch has been one of my favourite stores in Victoria for years, so it's unfortunate to write this review. My last experience there was not a good one. The place was a disaster (I don't mean cluttered. That's typical for the place. I mean like a tornado had been through there) and the one and only employee on the floor was running around like mad trying to organize things. She was too busy to offer help to anyone. The dressing rooms were also a mess with no order in regards to people going in and out. I left because the absolute disorganization (and being unable to actually get a dressing room to try clothes on...) was giving me a headache. And while I understand that current circumstances are tough, I am aghast to hear about the treatment of employees. There is no excuse in treating them unfairly and not paying them.
Cool store. Good selection of unique styles. Prices vary.
Staff are extremely untruthful and hog items for themselves considering they advertise it on Facebook and then actually never want to sell it to you (only one time they did, a nice jacket which had a tag for 24.99 and they wanted to hike up the price right in front of me when the tag said a lower price so I didn't find that very genuine or nice at all) The customer service is awful here until you actually end up buying something at the counter. They need a manager to price something so say they will put it on hold but days later you could return to find that they just put it back on the mannequin and sold it to someone else. Not anybodys cup of tea. Used to love shopping here in the past but will not be returning or reccomending my friends to do so.
not made for people with disabilities and the owner DOESN’T pay their employees!
Had the most pleasant experience today. Came in just as they were putting new fall arrivals on the floor. Amazing new wool finds! Love the prices, product and the staff were so friendly. Will be back for more :)
All staff up at the front yet NO ONE said hi or even made an effort to acknowledge when I walked in. One member of staff chose to continue using a loud and noisey vacuum, isn't there time before opening or after closing to do that? She was also openly complaining about customers! Seriously?! Also why is this a "vintage" store if there is nothing but current cheap mall brands? No vintage in sight, just overpriced garbage. Such a disappointment.
If you want retro hipster selection.
Complete rip off. A movement that is supposed to be helping the environment by producing less and reusing but these guys are just minting money off the hipsters. Lame ????????????????
I love Patch clothing! Great prices, excellent quality & an incredible selection! Buy 1 winter clothing piece & get the 2nd winter piece free sale, on now!!
Such a great place! Their buy one get one 70% off is to dieee for! They have such a great variety, there's something for everyone!
Going downhill. Nothing but a dirty and disorganized store with poor customer service. You're better off at Value Village
Terrible service and treatment of their employees. They owe one of their employees their wages. I think it’s disgusting to exploit their labor and not compensate them fairly. Poor ethics!
One of my favourite places in Victoria! Always funky new things to see. Worth the trip every time!
Was hoping to see more vintage but instead I see more mess, dingy garments and over priced price tags. It was may have been cool to look like a hoarders paradise decades ago, but times have changed. Refine your selection.
I have bought a lot of my favorite clothing itema here and I'm from Edmonton. Pricing can be a bit high but the selection of clothing is amazing.
Don't lock the doors to the fitting room, and then not have ANYONE around to let me in. Do you really only have one person working the floor? that person was on their cell phone since I walked in. Super frustrating!
a Victoria staple. I've been coming here for like 10 years. It's sometimes pricet, but it's got the best of the unique things with unique staff. If you want individual style you shop here.
Excellent place!
Over priced, stained, non ruefundable clothing with childish service
One star only because zero is not an option!! Employer does not pay his employees as per BC labour guidelines... expects them to work overtime without pay, no days off. Three employees (that I personally know) had to have parental help to get him to pay up, and they were shorted. I will not get into specifics of other issues that arose in June and July of 2020, but this is not a good business. I will never step foot in that place ever again. My money and your money is better spent at places that treat people with respect.
I was in town visiting from another city and decided to check this place out. The items inside are great, really unique (although pricy). I found something I was really interested in on display, and asked the associate if I could buy it. She advised that if it doesn’t have a price tag I couldn’t buy it until the manager was back. The item didn’t end up having a price tag so I asked when the manager would be back only to find out she was out of town for another 4 days. I was no longer going to be in the city by then. I found it odd that there would be items displayed that aren’t available for purchase, being a business like any other looking to make profit?? After purchasing my other items it was as if I was shooed away to help the next people in line. No “thank you”, no “thanks for stopping by” I had no clue whether my transaction was done until the associate started grabbing the next persons items. So I awkwardly walked out. I think the other people in line felt weird as there were two people at the till and only one actually ringing people through as the other just stood there chatting so there were lots of angry glares. I was really excited to shop here since there’s nothing like it in my city, and I felt like I really wanted to return my items but unfortunately felt too uncomfortable to go back in.
Always something trippy to find here.
