I think this place is alright and I do like a lot of the women's clothing they sell there especially their workout outfits they have or leggings plus they usually have matching leggings/pants, tangtop/tshirt/or long-sleeved shirts etc. Plus they usually have more then one design or color of the outfit... However if you do see something you do like make sure you buy it when you see it and ☆☆ MAKE DAMN SURE YOU TRY IT ON BEFORE BUYING ANY PANTS, LONG-SLEEVED SHIRTS or sweaters bcuz ♡♡ on more then 1 occasion I bought a yellow sweater front there and I put it on at home and I noticed that 1 sleeve was way longer then the other one and they didn't have a problem exchanging it however this past spring I purchased a army green jacket and other events sleeve is a smidge longer I would have exchange it but those jackets went by so fast...

A really great way to SAVE money is to shop at this store! I went there for one item and found several that I needed and at low prices I haven’t seen in years. It was shocking actually. I had to pinch myself. I used to make $3.50 an hour when prices were this low on some things. Staff was friendly and helpful. I took a star off because the store was a bit chaotic and dusty but otherwise ALL GOOD!

Wanted to check out a Giant Tiger because it's been a few years since I had gone to one. Having a larger stroller made it challenging to navigate some of aisles, especially in the children's clothing area. They cram a lot in the area which makes the racks impede where you walk. A smaller umbrella stroller would navigate with a bit more ease. Was surprised to find a large selection of Frozen clothing at a very reasonable price. The food prices I found on par with other stores like Superstore or Safeway. Store was clean. Location is easy to get to and they have a large parking lot, so having a larger pickup it's easy to find a spot.

Friendly and helpful staff. When I was there lines were about 5 customers deep and staff called for additional cashier. Got too pairs of shorts and a 3pk of white T's all for $50+tx.... Sweet.

Not every item is top quality per say, but the variety the store offers will allow for a fun hunt for the jems the store has to offer. The prices are okay, dependant on what it is you would purchase. Some items are oddly priced based on the quality of the item so look out for that. Over all the store has a useful inventory. I reccomend the high visibility work wear, curtain panels, anything they have that is well made really.. Happy shopping..

Uh. Not very clean or tidy, I must say, but don't let that put you off. There is tons and tons to choose from at great prices. I still own bargains I got there years ago. Like my "As Seen on TV" computer keyboard. Regularly $12.99 that I got for $2.99. From clothing to household items to stationery to food to camping equipment. Not a lot to pick within each category but everything under the sun is in this store. And cheap in price doesn't mean cheap in quality. I'm disabled so I like that they have a place to sit by the exit (to pull my act together) and a big community bulletin board by the Entrance that is well worth your time to take a few minutes to look at. There are buses nearby on 127th Street and 132nd Ave. And this GT is part of a small strip mall that includes a couple of places to eat, a bakery, dollar store, and second-hand book store as well as a police station. (So slim chance you'll be mugged nearby). The Caulder EPL is also near. (Hopefully, COVID-19 will soon be over and things will get back to a more normal flow). Worth a stop in for sure. Had an issue with an employee who was supposedly an on shift manager several months back. She refused to exchange an item that was unused and waw guaranteed as per statement on back of receipt. She said i would have to come back on a seperate day for the owner to be there. This employee had such an attitude, a total stranger applauded me in the parking lot for addressing how she was behaving. Totally put off my experience

Giant Tiger is a great place to buy inexpensive food, clothing, and other products. There are some really good regular prices on food but be sure to also look for lower pricing on many food items. The store isn't big but it is always fully stocked which allows for a lot of browsing for deals. The employees are, without exception, always friendly and helpful. We like going to this location and always leave feeling good because we saved money on the things we needed.

I like the store but most times i waste too much time in line while cashiers talk to coworkers rather than cashing people out during this pandemic. My last trip there, i was waiting in line for 5 mins while another cashier at another cash register was standing there fixing and wiping, ok cool. When she was done, she call another gentleman who just got there and went to her line and cashed him out, i then moved to her line to cash out because the cashier on my line was taking too long, besides nobody wants to be there just standing in a line that isn't moving, let alone during this pandemic AGAIN. The Ugly duck then told me that she was closed and carried on with her fixing and wiping.. As a cashier she should've been motivated to cash people out and clear the store not choose who to cash out and pretend to be busy while there's a lineup of people waiting to cash out.. This store owner probably can't get anyone to work there so they've gotta put up with all this nonsense. The reason for my review right now is only because I've gotta go back there tomorrow and i'm already thinking about these cashiers and getting out the stupid store. I just wanna stock up and only come out for work but unfortunately at times we've got pieces here and there that we forgot to pick up. Anyway I'm done. I'm gonna suckerpunch a fly tomorrow. Two stars for the great deals and clean store with the very rear good genuine workers in there. I appreciate you guys showing up to work during these times.

I am a buisness professional and the lady in the clothing section followed me around . Triple counted my items when I went to try them on, and when I switched a few items out as your only allowed 6 I was scolded and treated like a criminal for some reason I offered the lady to look in my purse. I generally like this store , but after I was on the watch this trip ill be choosing a diffrent location. I can only imagine the hassle that other people get.

This location is not as stocked up as the other ones we visit more often; howerver, what is available is priced right with lots of good deals. There is a school close by, so to speed up shopping during lunch hour they designate one register as a "student only" cashier, which is awesome. Staff is friendly, store is clean and parking is free. Staff were great today at till. Allowed a return not usually allowed, without receipt at the most recent price as it was a gift. I was exchanging/buying other items as well. The sweatshirt in photo was for sale for $11 said a sign but it turned out it was on for only $3.50!!! I even went back two more times afterwards, for another sweatshirt for a family member. They were patient with me each time. Very good experience today as I've only shopped there twice in the last month and hadn't been in years.

It’s ok store, Some of the sale items need to be refined in terms of quality check before putting them out for sale to the public, and putting them on SALE period! A good store for some decent bargains, check the quality first though! I also suggest that some of the staff pay attention to the level of just “basic” customer service. Yes it can be and is stressful working and dealing with the public but at the end of the day this is your job and part in parcel of being in a place that you work is to be a bit more friendly and courteous. Store is good always clean. I find it annoying that there are never any workers on the floor of you have a question you have to go to the cash. Also cashiers are not very customer service oriented. There is always some drama going on in the store that they are all interested in which causes waits for service. The prices to make up for it though

We liked this location a lot. It’s easy to access and lots of parking. Giant Tiger is a general merchandise store featuring clothing, home decor and groceries. Prices are very reasonable.

I enjoy the prices, however I cannot shop there with my baby stroller. Their entrance is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. They always say you have to go in to ask a manager to open a padlock to open an entranceway. How is someone either in a wheelchair or a mother with her baby in a stroller suppose to go inside to ask someone to open the padlock? This is a bit backwards to me. Management needs to address this.

When I visited this store about a year ago, I asked if there was a charge using my credit/debit card , they said they weren’t sure, just so happens there was an atm there, so I went to check to see if there was a charge displayed on the machine and one of the older ladies’ came over acting like she didn’t trust me, like I was going to steal something. (Like there’s anything worth stealing). So I made my purchase and jumped into my Mustang and got out of there. Needles to say I never went back there. (I just stopped in to buy a carton of cigarettes because I heard the price was good, sure made me feel like a valued customer).

Be careful you can be in danger shopping here. You can receive theology and police instead of business. They try to convert customers to Islam. Some of cashiers are dressed religious, Islamic, instead of store uniform; even Canada is a secular non-religious state. This is a sign of fundamentalist Islam. One day I asked the cashier supervisor to give me a non-religious dressed staff member to serve me because I do not believe in God and I wish non-religious service. She did. Later when I go back in store shopping the same supervisor threatens me with arrest if coming back shopping because “I complained for the service”. Sounds like the liberal party here. Sorry, my blood type is conservative: Nordic, A2, from the countryside. Had the same problem with cab company, asked the same and they complied with my request of having every time atheist, secular, non-religious service and driver. So I left the store that day and filed a complaint against supervisor to the store head office and BBB after discussed with police. I might sue the store as well.

Personally not a place I will come back to shop, they have guard rails to prevent you from taking carts to your car. I bought 4 cases of bottled water. It was far more expensive for the water than Walmart , double the price for half the amount and I couldn't bring it in the cart to the car. Otherwise, store was good and people seemed nice. Just my annoyance with those 2 things on my first trip there made me decide it's not my "go to"

Been going here for years, but absolutely appalled at their disregard for the employees safety and that of their customers during the ongoing pandemic. Went to go in last weekend and the store was jammed from wall to wall; lineups down the back wall near the milk. Employees were not wearing masks correctly and no social distancing whatsoever; no capacity limit of customers in store, hand sanitizer station inside the door was a mess. Needless to say, I didn't go in. This place should be reported to the Department of Health and Safety, as clearly the owner and staff don't care about the lockdown regulations or the safety of those who spend their hard earned dollars. This is so disappointing too as this place used to be the best in the area for a quick stop.

This place is full of rude people. First I ask cashier for box set mention on the flyer, she rudely said what we have , Its on the shelf without even looking to the flyer. We were in the store checking some stuff & it was 8.55. One lady just rudely say store is closed, proceed to the checkout and at 9 PM she started draging our cart. I proceed to the cashier, It was the last day of the flyer so my wife just go back to check 1 item then 2-3 employees started shouting to her that store is closed. Worst experience. Giant Tiger, located in Kipling Plaza, is basically a clothing store for ladies, men, and children. It also sells some other merchandises like kitchenwares, bakery products, grocery, beddings, curtains etc. The clothes sold are not fancy, branded, and ultra-modern, but you can get good-looking apparel, particularly for women, at a pretty good price. If you want to buy quality dress pants or shirts, you will be disappointed. You won't see them anywhere in the men's section. Overall, it is an average store, good for people with a shoestring budget, and for people who are looking for buying at a bargain price.

If you are in the area, then it is worth paying attention to their fliers because they sometimes offer discounts that make it worth dropping in. Sometimes when you buy a 50% off food item, you do tend to come out with more than what you originally came for, but its all good stuff. My only issue is the checkout... sometimes there is just 1-2 cashiers and the line is half a dozen people long per register so you end up waiting 10 minutes if they don't open another one...

I love giant tiger and a few members of the staff are pleasant, however two I dealt with today were very obviously irritated when I asked for a sale product that was not on display. Hey I thought I was being friendly but I guess to them they can take their moods out on customers. Cashier only answers things you say if she is in the mood for it . The staff are super polite. I had very good assistant from a grocery worker Ornella and Natalie who helped find my list of things with ease. From my frequent visits to this location the line up to the cash goes from one end to the store to another. With 1 or 2 cashiers. People complainng in line for longer than normal wait times. This in my opinion reflects poor management and ensuring low quality service from giant tiger. I understand people call in sick and don't show up but in these given moments I have yet seen a manager step up and assist their staff when they are getting verbally attacked by customers and nobody there to help them out. Lack of management and neglect has made this place more often difficult to shop because of the inconvenience of waiting so long to checkout. So many times I needed to grab a couple of things but ended up shopping somewhere else because I wasn't going to wait in a line for 30 min. This location has great staff, but operated poorly by management.

I have been shopping here since they opened, as has my senior father who went at least once a week. We have stopped going because of the poor service and bad attitude of one cashier in particular, who constantly polices sales like my 75 year old father is trying to rip this huge corporation off. I would give 0 stars if possible. She embarrassed him by yelling at him after trying to buy a carpet that was listed at $4.00. She insisted that it was $5.00. Honestly, you lost alot of business over $1.00 and a rude cashier that thinks she's doing people a favour by being there. I've been in customer service management for over 20 years, and I was appalled by the way he was treated. I would avoid her when shopping there because of her attitude at cash, but now will definitely NOT be back again. I will also be writing a letter to customer service head office because nothing has been done at store level to fix the problem.

Rude and aggressive employees (Especially those unprofessional ladies working there who clearly hate all the clients...every time I went there thet yelled at customers and care only about their breaks and closing time) Dirty and not well stocked/organized. Love Giant Tiger but this location is totally out of control in terms of customer service and cleanliness. Also contacted customer service many time but nobody has ever replied back to me.

My husband and I went to the store on Tuesday morning when we entered there was an employee cleaning the buggies, she was pleasant she acknowledged me the shopping experience was great ,I saw some white vest I asked a lady about them she said she is not in that department so she called the lady in that department they were all very nice to me .I continue shopping everything went well when i was finish because of social distance i waited to be called The cashier who served us her name is christine B she was awesome and she thank us for shopping at the store please let your staff know how much they are appreciated and keep up the good work thanks.

I love GT always have great stuff,now the staff thats a difference story or at least 3 of them,first of all when I walk in the door I fell a little uncomfortable one worker kept following me because I had my own shopping cart,so I asked her would you like me to put my cart up front she oh no that's fine,Then when I got to cash I said hello to to girl she didn't say anything "ok" so I was putting my stuff on the counter i let her know that I have my cart so I don't need bags again she didn't say anything and keep putting my stuff in the bags" ok"i took my stuff of of the bags and started packing my cart,I said to her it's easy to carried in the cart instead of bags because I have fibromyalgia,she didn't say anything"ok"but she was talking to the man before me then another man came she couldn't shut up!!a women came she did not say a word to her,Then a man again could stop talking, so I ask her what you only talk to males not females!!then came a man he asked her how was your night going she turned to him and said oh I guess I'm being accused of being a chauvinist,,Well what eles would you call it!! Talk to him like I wasn't even there, found her to be very ignorant she needs customer service skills

Today. In the box area you make a single row and I arrive A woman and it is formed or directly to a box. We asked the cashier to clarify where the line is made. Since we had more than 12 people in a single row. The cashier of 1 did not inport him that two clients were pleading. I spoke to the supervisor and she said it doesn't matter where they were formed. Question If this ma's of 12 customers in a single row because the supervisor and the cashiers allow the others not to be respected

Poor service. They has weiners, if you buy two you get them for a 1.50. there was only one left. We asked the stock boy if they had more. He checked and told us no. I asked for last pack at sale price, he argued with. At this time another you man came up and said he would ask manager. He came out of back with more weiners and said there were cases of them. There was no apology from other stock boy or the manager who never did come out very poor service.

I also enjoy a Giant Tiger stop. They're a go to for summer T-shirts and socks. Best of all there's their grocery aisle. Lords of deals on staples. Interesting products you don't see elsewhere. And a terrific selection of snack foods. They're also a great stop for Christmas goodies and stocking stuffers.

Sometimes Giant Tiger has a pretty good selection of clothing for a great price. The Giant Tiger in Kensington area didn't have much of a selection. The Giant Tiger on the North East has better selection. The staff was very polite, which is so great.

Out of a lot of stuff I go to buy. Lot of high prices. Can only buy items on sale. Long Lineups a the till. Usually only one or two tills open. If they want to sell me something get the tills open. I’m not there for their convenience. Worst is the filthy glass on the entrance doors. Absolutely disgusting and a turn off. Makes me wonder how sanitary this place is.

Came here for the first time with my mom as its quite close to my home to check it out. Found a lot of awesome deals! We got $2 pillow cases. However, the cashier we got was extremely rude did not acknowledge my mother and I and was just speaking with her coworker. Though, my mom and I were understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic and the stress the workers are under - she was extremely rude.
