well organized store. have good item displays. the isles are well spaced and there are many staff available in each department when needed assistance or guidance. the whole store is in well layed out plan making shopping very convenient. whenever there is a chance for me to visit flinflon canadian tire, i make it a point to swing by, as there are many things you will not realize is available until you see them in the store. it helps to buy when you have a visual idea, and this store delivers that.

Typical Canadian Tire Found in a small Ontario city. Have used auto service for a number of e-tests while working in southern Ontario, and while they seem chronically understaffed for the amount of auto service business they do, service manager is always friendly and accommodating.

Nice Canadian Tire but a bit cramped. They still have almost every product but every once in a while you will need to go to another store to find the product you want. The garden centre during the summer is great and has tonnes of plants.

I had original receipt with everything in original boxes and because the one manager was being absolutely rude and not letting me speak refused to return my items and I called toll free number a supervisor then emailed the managers and said there was no reason for them not to return the items and told me to go into the store the next day so I went in and the other manager then called the other manager up cause the one who refused me the day before called the other one and explained that he refused me yesterday so the other manager got snarky and extremely rude and said they couldn't refund me yet i have spent easily over $2000 at canadian tire in the last two months and they won't return my 125 dollars wirth of unopened still in the packaging stuff or give me back my money from my cameras that were on sale for $79.99 yet charged me $199.99 so they made me pay an extra 120 on top of what I should have yet they can't give me my money back... Im a single mom of 2 children and its covid so money is already tight and yet they enjoy robbing single moms who faithfully spend alot of money at there store!! I find the staff for the most part very helpful here. The challenge I have is every time I need any products for the instant pot pressure cooker they always seem to be out of stock.(eg. 8qt Inside lid rings, 8 qt instant pots, 8 qt liner pots , and any cooking accessories for that size pot) Staff in this department have not been knowledgeable at all. Do your research for your instant pot pressure cooker before stopping here.

Exchange place for Soda Stream C02 canisters. They do an exchange for empty canisters. Be sure to call ahead as they sell out quick. Wal-Mart does not do the exchange program in Estevan, I think Can Tire is the only place here right now that does.

Today I tried to buy a new battery for my lawnmower by going through the auto entrance. After all that is where the batteries are kept. I could not get into the store without a tremendous amount of trouble. I am in a walker as I have a broken ankle. Turnstiles cannot be used in a walker but it did say to use the other side, which I did but that side does not open and if it did there was a bin of goods in front. Seems Cdn Tire wants you to walk through their entire store even if you are in a walker or wheelchair. I bought my battery and by the time I got to the car after all that walking I was and still am in a lot of pain. Thanks Cdn. Tire. Can't say when I'll be back.

If you like to spend money for nothing...get your car fixed here! They do the bare minimum. I brought my car into them to fix an issue because my rear tires wore down to the cords so they made me buy 4 tires ($581) instead of just two because I have an AWD and they said the issue was caused by a worn bushing so I paid them $400 to fix it and then 7k kms later my rear tires were worn down to the cords again and it cost me another $251 to replace them AGAIN and they said oh well we thought that the bushing was the issue. They misinformed me because they said there was no alignment needed in the rear. I have never had any luck with Canadian Tire mechanics ripping me off and Elliot Lake is no exception!

Had a problem with my car while crossing the border. Called and spoke to Casey. Instantly made me feel comfortable while I was panicking. He arranged for a tow to their shop. After my car was checked they told me it was just a loose battery terminal. They fixed it and didn't even charge me. I couldn't get over it. This is the best car shop I've ever been to. Cannot recommend them enough.

These guys saved my butt. This location did not have what I needed to make an inverter they had in stock work for my application so Matt and Bob were able to modify existing jumper cables to work with the inverter for my application. These guys saved my he day. Props to northern ingenuity. I would not have been able to make this work otherwise. And Canadian Tire, if you read this, your staff are what makes your mark in the community, not fancy marketing. These guys deserve recognition.

**SEE EDIT (Knowledgeable staff especially in the auto department, never hard to find someone to help you. They have a lot of inventory but that being said, the negative is narrow isles throughout the store. You can barely push a cart without banging into corners which I find difficult with three young children, so it's noticeable for me.) **EDIT when I was asked to write a review, I mistakenly thought it was for the Canadian Tire in Espanola. The review in brackets is for the Espanola location and the difference is that the isles are not as narrow or difficult to navigate in Elliot Lakes' Canadian Tire and I would not have removed a star from my rating.

Went to buy gloves for working on a dirtbike, and they had literally 0 latex/nitrile gloves, only gardening gloves!! 4 boxes per person and yet they're so understocked that this is the only Canadian Tire that has none left in stock. I get that people want gloves due to covid 19 but c'mon, they're intended for mechanical applications so people like me can't find what they need because this seems to be the next thing people are hording unnecessarily! Have to travel 140 km to the nearest store in Flin. And what? They CAN NOT find them! - They have one from shelf open but CAN NOT sell it without manager. - To buy online They CAN NOT deliver it because it is oversized item! Period! This last visit to Canadian Tire was awful. We were to pick up a kayak, which was purchased as a gift and to be picked up today. We went there and the kayak was nowhere to be found!! Five or six employees muddled about for over an hour, with no success finding the paid for kayak! My partner, because of a trip planned this week, purchased another kayak at $100 more than the one purchased, as a gift. Further to that, last Fall, I purchased 4 tires and some other items valued at over a thousand bucks. When I got to the till, the cashier asked me for around $300. I mentioned that couldn't be correct. She could not have charged me for the tires, which were $600. After a few minutes, fussing with the till, she assured me that the amount was indeed around $300. I paid her but when I got to my car, I could not leave the parking lot. I went back to the store, explained what had just occurred. I insisted there was an error and paid the $600 for the tires!! Cashier training: fail!!

Had a safety done, vehicle sat in the driveway for months due to conversion to a camper van. On the first trip out we got 200km away and I felt some vibration. Pulled over and found driver's side rear as pictured. Lugs were finger-tight on passenger side rear, but fully torqued both sides of front. Luckily I noticed the issue before losing the wheel. Service says they won't do anything because too much time has passed.

I give this place the worst possible rating I can. I had a manager of the store named sue threaten to call the RCMP on me after I questioned her on a price check in the store. Then she lied to me about why the price was wrong and I called her on it. She then caused a huge scene and actually argued with me in the store over an $8 price discrepancy, and said she would have me removed from the store, for simply questioning an unclearly marked price. This place is a complete joke. This lady should be fired! Seriously go to Walmart or anywhere else. Support business that actually care about their customers. This lady doesn't deserve to have a job. Ide give a 0/5 but 1 is the lowest I can go . SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE

Store is disorganized, cluttered, and a complete mess. Most employees are under-trained and or unpleasant. The "you must use a cart" rule is ridiculous. Using the same cloth the clean every cart is gross and unsanitary. On top of that they force you to use it. Go to Niagara Falls or Welland. Stores are bigger, cleaner, better staffed, and overall better.

Took a car battery back with warranty I thought it would be a rated percentage discount on new battery because the 4 year warranty was up this oct. Got a drand new battery .They also took covid into consideration for another purchase I returned and saved me money again the manager was friendly and seemed to want to help me .

I had some issues this last time I went there, however as I was leaving the parking lot in my vehicle, one of the older women that works there asked if she could help me. And I was able to get my $200 item. It's a very busy place, the staff is hit or miss, the good ones are so busy they don't get to stop.. while the other ones stand and look at the wall. I would go back, but it's hit or miss.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. My wife wrote an email complaint to the store owner last week about a terrible experience we had with the clerk who was on duty at the service desk. Have not heard a word from the owner as of yet, five days later. I noticed that the owner only seems to respond to the good reviews on the web site. Some of the staff need retraining in the customer service department. I will no longer be shopping here in Elliot Lake at this Canadian Tire store, I will now be going to Espanola if I really need anything from Canadian Tire.

The Elliot Lake online service is a joke. When I placed an order online at 11:30 am, the Point Of Sale online inventory shows they had plenty of the item on stock. My store pick up was assigned as the following day. I immediately received a notice that the order is being process. I noticed the store inventory started to decrease slowly. The next morning, I noticed the store inventory slowly decreasing to ZERO. At 12:30 pm, I received an email that my order has been CANCELLED ( not by me ) and no rain check. Why did they fill my online order at the last second??? Filed compliant with a reference number to the corporate office. No response from them either. Everywhere else, Canadian Tire is doing a fine job building their online pickup service. Not here in Elliot Lake.

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, they do the best they can with the limited space they have. One cashier, who I assume is the head cashier, is extremely rude and overbearing. On several occasions I've witnessed her belittle and berate other cashiers and customers, including myself on one occasion. I've heard her talk about customers who were only a few feet away at the next cash register. She needs to be fired ASAP. I WILL be talking to the manager the next time I witness such disgusting degrading behaviour. It's nice to see the new managers fire some of the other ignorant people especially those who worked in the parts department for so long.
