I went to Pet Value this morning and used the Doggie Wash there. It is roomy and well stocked with fluffy towels and an air dryer. So much easier than doing it at home. The staff is very helpful in suggesting products which is extremely helpful with my senior doggo.

While the store is nice and kept clean the "new" dog washes are terrible. The shampoos were insanely watered down to the point of one of them being just water. Both of the baths must use the same water source since when you run both, water pressure drops dramatically and the hot water goes ice cold. The blow dryers use cold air which does not dry them properly and both of them are broken. The one has a part broken off which makes it eject from the wall and the other the nozzle is not attached properly and has copper wire that scratches you when you try to use it. It is a nice service to have but I recommend going to a different pet valu to do your dog washing.

I was blown away when I walked into this store, doesn't look like much from the outside but man is it neat and clean on the inside. Im so accustomed to pet stores looking and smelling trashy that this one caught me off guard. I took my dogs to get washed and the self wash cost $10 + tax which included a treat and shampoo. They provided you with towels and their washing station came with a hug tub and a blower. Highly recommend!!!

I tried to hold off on writing a review but it's time to save everyone the headache. If you need something quick and just walk in off the street, this store is fine. But don't try to do anything complicated. Don't online order. Don't even call, to be honest. Unless in you're in for a headache. I ordered cat food, dog food, and litter online for pick up and they said they had everything put aside for me, except the litter wasn't going to be in for a week due to special order. Which was fine. They said to return the call if I still want it and they'd order it asap. I returned the call and had probably a 10 minute conversation with a lady. She kept telling me my litter was special order and I kept repeating "yes, I know, I am calling to confirm it's being ordered". Just wasn't getting it and then said "I have a line up" and acted as if I was the one who wasn't getting it. The lady who called me had called from home I guess, wasn't in the store, and it wasn't communicated to the staff at the time that I called. Once I got off the phone, within an hour I got a call that my order was ready for pick up. I called back because I was confused and they said yep everything is here, I asked about litter, they said yep everything. Then I asked them to double check - and litter wasn't there. As I suspected. So irritating. I asked if I could just come in for my order next week and maybe pick up litter and food on same day. They said my order would stay put aside and to come whenever. I go in the next week and my dog food wasn't here. They said "she must of sold it", but no note was left to indicate so and nothing was communicated in terms of if another bag was being ordered. Long story short, if you're going to sell products out of an online order, you should prepare an excuse or something and share it with your staff so I'm not standing in the store super confused. It's a hard dog food so find so after calling every pet store from Fort Erie to Welland, I finally found a bag of the food. I've just lost my patience at this point. The communication is just brutal. Save yourself the headache - just go in and get whatever is on the shelf.

My Husband went to buy Dog food and understandable in this time of the Covid-19 wasn't allowed in the store but when he didn't know the exact name of the dog food but was able to tell them exactly where it was in the store they told him he had to look it up on line before they could help him. When I called to ask why they couldn't just bring out a few bags to see if one of them may be the correct one the owner just argued with me and then hung up on me obviously not very professional and shouldn't be in the business where she deals with the public. We had to go to another pet store and buy food our dog has never had because of the unprofessionalism of the staff at Pet Value.

This store has a wide variety of supplies and food. They had a couple of kittens tonight, but sometimes have none, depending on if they have some from the local shelter. There were three fish and some (algae) for sale, plus lots of frozen rodents. I personally find this location has less than the frozen raw food than the one in Greenwood, but perhaps they will order it if you request it. Our dog loves it when we give her a bath here!

It seems the manager of this store has decided that all rescues who obtain donated dog food (it is expired so they cannot sell it) unless they have a government registered rescue. I do know here in Ontario this is NOT a requirement, so why here? And maybe only one rescue in particular.... The backbiting that goes on in the rescue world is nasty. But I have to admit I've never seen a store get into it. So I will personally BOYCOTTING ALL PETVALUE STORES UNTIL THIS IS CORRECTED. Needless to say social media is very watchful...... Three days later I get a response from the store saying oops no, PetValue does NOT require any of the requirements SET OUT IN WRITING TO A RESCUE were incorrect. But guess what? They STILL REFUSE TO SUPPORT THE RESCUE. There are a lot of witches involved in rescue that their SOLE purpose is to make themselves look good. They are the ones that cause all sorts of problems for rescues they know nothing about. Spread rumours, speak I'll of the owner(s), board whatever for their own personal satisfaction of hurting someone. This is exactly what has happened here. And I will be taking it up with head office. People like this need to be STOPPED. Enough is enough. We are here for the ANIMALS, not you or anyone else. Disgusting!

Absolutely wonderful customer service. Their online shopping comes directly to my home....AND NO CARRYING HEAVY KITTY LITTER...YAAAA...love you all..will shop here for their products faithfully. Caveat about Ultra Performatrim cat food. It took 4 cats from having hair to having glossy, luxuriant FUR. Thank you.

If you go and use the dog wash, youll be very disappointed. There is another review on this page for the same issues. The dog shampoo is EXTREMELY watered down and a light green color. I have been using dog wash stations at various pet valus through the years and i can tell you what color and how thick each of those shampoos should be. I went into the shelves in the dog washing station and found ALL the shampoos were watered down and a light green color. I had to grab an unopened one and mix it myself. This is also an issue because my dog reacts to certain shampoos and mixtures and now Pet valu cannot guarantee me what product i am using. The central vac dryer on the right works perfectly fine but the one on the left has an issue with the nozzle staying into place which is taped and has copperwire coming out of it! No issues with the store or staff but i would rather drive the 20+ minutes to another petvalu than ever go back here in hopes they changed.

Called and asked if I could bring my 2 dogs in for a bath at 7:30. Spoke with kayla and she said yes and reminded me that they close at 8pm. I arrived 10 minutes early with my 2 dogs and child and was told by kayla and cathy that the bath closes in a few minutes!! This was the reason why I called, to double check before venturing out. The staff was unfriendly and rude. Its unfortunate when people don't want to do their job, or even apologize for giving out the wrong info. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Do not waste your money or effort going here.

Sunday may 5th my 3 kids and our big baby of the family (our rottweiler) walked over to use the pet bath.. we arrived at least 30 minutes before the store closed and the lady working said it was to late as they were closing soon and she'd have to clean the tubs out if we bathed our pup. Realistically it would've have taken us 30+ minutes to bath her. No where does it say or advertise that you must arrive or the bath is closed at a certain time. This was a huge let down and it true seemed like the lady just didn't want to do her job. We hardly got a foot in the store before she said it's to late.
