Just an everyday Walmart experience - nothing special and as usual it's hard to find someone to give you help, in spite of several staff wearing "Here to help" vests. Washrooms are generally kept clean so that's nice. Recently the on-site McDonald's closed so if you're a fan of their food you won't be able to grab lunch here anymore.

I enjoy the convenience of this local Walmart. I have noticed that as they have tried to undergo a reorganization of the store layout, the selection of items is less than what it was previously. In particular the selection of men's clothing and sporting goods. I would hope the redesign picks up the pace and the selection improves.

Walmart is top ten grossing company in the world but they can't afford to get self-checkout machines that work.... Instead they have their much under paid staff watch you like a hawk.... the first couple times it made me uncomfortable and was quite annoyed that they were all over me and watching every button I press, asking if they could key in the code before I even had a check to try, etc. After going there a few times I realized the reason they were doing that is because WALMART CORPORATION is too cheap get machines that work like SAFEWAY, SUPERSTORE, or any other place in Canada that actually is fair to their employees and not just think about the bottom line. WALMART the WORLD hates you. SUPERSTORE is just as afford and has friendly staff (likely cause they are pay fairly). Think about it, Walmart makes their money off poor peoples backs, by forcing producers/suppliers to sell to them at cut throat prices, then pays their works a little as possible so that then the government will have to subsidized them in form of government programs ALL SO the rich executive can have another 100 K on they bonus cheques. WALMART even time I buy for you I feel like I am just making the rich richer while at the exact same time making the poor poorer. PS.... Negative 100 stars.

This location is a little bit out dated compared to other places but they do a great job otherwise. The staff is helpful and they are good about keeping stock. Washrooms are clean every time we go. I wish they could get updated a bit like other stores, it's just aesthetics mostly but some of the checkouts and departments would benefit from a new till machine. Love this Walmart! Everyone seems to agree. Amazing and helpful staff with quick checkouts. Best Walmart in Calgary for sure. To those who think that the staff can't find anything for you, it's because you're asking the wrong associate. I can't count how many times, being a cashier, asked for the most random of objects and having to constantly apologise for not being able to locate their item. Finding the Silver Lining

Last time I use Walmart's online service. I ordered something online, it came defective, I tried to return it, and this Walmart wouldn't return it for me because their system was down. There should be some kind of contingency plan then if your system is going to be down. My time is valuable I don't have time to drive to every Walmart in the city to try and return something. Something that came to me already defective. From now on I'll stick to Amazon.

I guess poor service doesn't matter when the prices are the low; but I counted 19 people ahead of me in the "express checkout" line, with only two cashiers manning the 16 express checkouts there. Obviously they are cutting labor costs. Staff is afraid to alert management of any problems, and so it goes up the chain. The point is that nothing ever gets fixed, because the management is never aware of the problems.

Not longer the case, now you need to be very careful to decide your purchase, because you will find a better deal with higher quality at the Real Canadian Superstore. If zero stars were an option that is what they would get. Took a coffee maker to the till with some other items, waited in line to pay no problem yet. Since there were no boxed coffee makers on the shelf I had the display model - so my cashier says nope can't sell that. So the manager is on the till beside her and I politely ask if they can then check if one is available, as I would like this item. So manager says no we don't have any, so i wonder why they display items not for sale? Well I could look and see when we are getting more, ok please look. Well I have to help all the customers waiting in line - I point out I'm a customer who has been waiting in line. Outcome she wouldn't check on this item, and we left all items there and went to London Drugs where 3 out of 5 items were actually cheaper. Super bad customer care.

Being a black man, I’m use to my share of racism when making purchases, but to get it on multiple instances from my community Walmart still shocks me. I’m the type of person to shop weekly at this Walmart spending upwards of $400 in a week. Not much, but a fair share to spend at one store. Just trying to get some Christmas shopping done, I purchased a shopping cart full of gifts, and was harassed by security yet again as he let two other white shoppers leave the store un-harassed. From now on, I’ll just use Amazon to make my purchases. Amazon doesn’t judge you based on your skin Color and doesn’t ridicule you or harass you at the door making you look like you’re a thief. Embarrassed to see this happen in my community and happy to say that this Walmart has lost a 10+ year customer.

Probably the worst Walmart Canada has to offer. They didn't have men's long sleeve shirts. When we asked about it they said I dont think there's any in back and basically wasn't going to check. Then I was looking for a razor and replacement razor. When asked about it, again they told me its around the corner. I mean come on, I was just there. I was asking if you have any. Boxes upon boxes are stacked on the top of all the isles and nobody had the balls to help out.

Supercentre is a bit of a stretch. This walmart is tiny and understocked beyond belief. They have no deli. A small meat section. A small bakery. Everything is small. If you have the time go 20 minutes further to the Niagara Falls location where it actually is Super. Do not waste your time here.

It's exactly what you would expect from a Walmart (Wally World) with lots of products at a lower price. Big parking lot as expected for parking. MCDONALD'S location inside. Grocery shopping area with electronics section. Shoes are cheap and end up feeling cheap as we have returned two shoes with holes in them. Great customer service. (if you can find them in the store) Electronic section seems lacking as a lot of is has shrunk and has been taking over by Apple.

Every time I go to the electronics department I get no help what so ever. I've never had anyone ask if I needed anything. One time I stood there for 20 minutes before deciding to just leave. The EBgames across the street gets all my business!!! Today I went in to get a 3DS game. I was waiting for someone to help me, there were FOUR people standing at the front just talking. 4 star Update, the greeters came back super nice and welcoming security you do see are on the side but say hello and are very welcoming. kudos Walmart Move 21/2018. The new issue I've observed is the cashier using underhanded tactics to run a credit check on you asking for licence etc . Saying it's for discount few months back. Not lately though Security Walmarts at 130th Deerfoot Meadows in Calgary are making it an awkward place to shop, They are like new greeters except they just stare people down. I've been finding this attitude a bit confrontational and giving a sense of uneasiness. I like walmarts prices on some items and staff is usually friendly.

This store seems to have had a rough time of it after staff attacks have been highlighted in the news. I found the store to be clean, well stocked, the staff smiley and pleasant and more than willing to assist with where items were located in the store. I was popping in for a few bits and pieces and was more than happy with my experience - I had to wear a mask but then so does everyone else we all have to do our bit. I'd def shop here again.

Of course I have been to a number of Walmarts as they are generally convenient and cost effective. That being said I have noticed that many of them are grossly understaffed and sometimes also understocked as well. At the 130th Walmart I was greeted by Rahim. A friendly older man that took the time to walk me all across the store to help me find a particular item I was looking for. He didnt hesitate and had a great conversation on the way. When I found my item there were many tills open so i didnt have to wait long to check out. It is those little things that make the shopping experience better.

The ones that are are excellent and helpful but they are few and far between. I remember when Walmart had a 10 ft rule where associates coming within 10ft of a customer were supposed to smile and say hello. I have actually witnessed associates actively avoid customers.

I advise you never, ever, to call this location. The phone will ring for about 20 min, you can try different departments, just to talk to SOMEONE, but you likely won't get anyone. IF you do, there's a good chance you'll get hung up on before even getting a word out. If you're really persistent, and finally make contact, they will tell you that they cannot help you because they either don't usually work in that department (I even actually did supposedly get someone in the dept I was looking for) so they don't know offhand if they carry the product you're looking for, and will put you "on hold" while they "look" (only if you ask them to), at which point you will hear them speaking unprofessionally about you/how they have no idea what they're looking for/got stuck in that dept etc. because putting you "on hold" is simply putting the phone down. Then, when they come back on the line to tell you that they don't have what you're looking for, they'll hang up on you when you try to thank them for looking anyway, despite your growing frustration. I have had similar experiences on two occasions when I was calling regarding a product I'd purchased or was looking for. Seriously, you don't want to waste your time or sanity. If I could give negative stars, I would. Worst. Customer service. Ever.

pure scam! if Walmart is the only store left on earth, i still won't go shopping there! that's how pissed off i'm with Walmart! since nowadays nothing only exists in Walmart, i will never step inside. for similar or identical items, i'll always go to another store. Walmart, you are in my blacklist for now, at least the one located on 130 ave. here's why. In the flyer, it's advertised that Mobil 1 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil 4 liter for 24.98 dollars. However, there's no such thing for 4 liter. In this store, all packages all came as 4.4 liters. 4.4 liters is NOT on sale and cost about 50 dollars. So for that extra 0.4 liter, we will have to pay almost double the price! that's the most expensive 0.4 liters I have ever seen! ridiculous! Insane! the manager didn't approve to change the price because of that 0.4 liter thing. if you don't care customers' satisfaction, don't feel surprised why you are not making money and don't complain if you go bankrupt, which should be in the near future if you continue to behave like that. Good luck walmart!

This WalMart is the worst I have ever visited. I travel to foreign countries often and am always relieved when I see a WalMart and have never been disappointed by my expectations. That changed with this location, not only with by the lack of inventory but with the lack of customer relation skills by all employees. They are unfriendly, not helpful in the least and are not knowledgeable on any item you may inquire about. Every time I have had to ask an employee about anything, down to where an item may be located in the store every single time the answer has been, “I don’t know”. Unbelievable, this is not the way any other WalMart operates at any other location across the globe. I had an issue that needed to be escalated to a manager on my last visit which just solidified my mind set completely. This assistant manager was not only rude but from the start already had made his mind up about the situation. Before I finished explaining things he cut me off and simply repeated what the employee had stated. Which in every other WalMart is not the way that would have been resolved but at this location apparently it is. After the manager cut me off I asked him for his name and a card , he told me his first name only as he walked off to his office. I had to ask the employee it again because I couldn’t even hear it clearly from him. I left that day and I will never go back into that location again. My advice to anyone reading this review is if you feel like you and everyone else should be treated with respect and be appreciated as a valued customer this in NOT the WalMart for you. Trust me when I tell you , you must be reading this review for a reason. Don’t patronize this WalMart .

Yes it's a Walmart, but one of the smallest Walmarts I've ever been in. Still has a decent selection grocery store and free RV and camper parking in their parking lot. A great deal for a quick stop over goodnight and picking up supplies in the morning on your way out.

Beware !!! Always check the price when you scan it . The price on the shelves are different from the system. Always check your receipt.
