Was not impressed with this staples ordered something online was suppose to ship from this store in one business day took over a week to get it and they tossed it on the front door without a knock. Wasn't packaged properly and the customer service is some of the worst only next to purolator in this town!
I went there to exchange/return a defective product. There was none in stock so I was given a refund. No problem. I was told I could go to a kiosk they had in the store and order online and have it delivered to the store. (Apparently staff are unable to do this.) I go to the kiosk and find myself standing in front of a LARGE monitor in the main aisle of the store. As I input the required personal information it is coming up on the monitor for anyone in the main aisle or even anyone outside looking in the window to see. Ironically there's a small icon on the screen that says my information is secure. lol I talked to a staff member that it should be mentioned to a manager to possibly relocate or somehow ensure privacy.( i.e. A small screen.) I was informed only head office could make this decision. So, I came home and ordered it online which means I can't get it delivered to Staples only to my home address. The good news is that if I'm having to order online anyway, I'm not limited to shopping at Staples although I prefer to spend my money locally.

Quick and fairly polite, but was sent to wrong area with little explanation, then was helped by a semi-condecending young women who printed off my item only to THEN tell me had I gone to the other area (further down) I could have helped myself for a fraction of the price. I paid 2.50 to print off a single sheet of paper. Not very impressed, really hoping for better service next time.

I bought a chromebook less then 3 months ago and it won't charge or turn on anymore. I brought it back to Staples yesterday and I was told it would be shipped to Acer Burnaby where it would be fixed or replaced. I got a call today saying it would not be shipped and I have to pay for shipping. This company has no customer service and they will now also lose my printing business as well. A few $100 in the last year. Do not shop here or deal with these people. I am a 42 year McMurray resident and I have never had a product that was not handled by or replaced when broken in such new condition. NEVER SHOP HERE.

Love this store. Variety of collection. Steps away from Canadian Tire, Walmart, Rona and other stores. Staffs are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Bought HD for MacBook. It took sometime for staffs to bring the product from storage. So many staffs offered help during wait time. Product price is reasonable. There are parking including disables parking, for customers. Store is neat and clean. Recommend others to try this store.

Went there to print a few things from my email. Internet connection was SO slow that I ended up paying almost $20 for something that could have been done in less than 5 mins. They charge .30 cents a minute for internet use. I printed 6 pages which cost $1 each. $6 for print and the rest was just for waiting for the files to download. ugh.
can definitely confirm that the manager here doesn't know much at all about computers. Didn't know that Chromebooks have their own OS, and was rather rude, Dunder Mifflin is a WAY better business.

Everyone is great at this store. Please make sure your restrooms are functional as I was unable to make use of them today due to some kind of door code malfunction or something. Pregnant people exist and are sometimes in a lot of discomfort and need to know the stores they go in have restrooms. The staff member i asked seemed to feel really bad. I would have been able to shop longer and buy more but had to rush out to find another bathroom. This is uncomfortable. I hope the staff have a rest room.
Staple was good and spaced for Covid standards but the selection was just not there. Using the staples website to identify what was in stock for quick pick-up was a waste of time as the web page was not updated. Also ...when I say I'm ok and don't need assistance, please don't follow me around the store.

Worst shopping experience ever. We ordered online. got an email that our items where ready for pickup, when we arrived at the store they did not have 2/3th of the order available. I then opted for replacement options and payed those by credit card. In the end we got charged DOUBLE so both for the products that did not arrive and those we bought at the store. We are still trying to get our money back but have over 10 hours clocked on the chat and phone with their so called customer service. absolute disaster, criminally so almost.

But some time shortage of staff in printing section. Free parking free handicap parking and handicap access. No piblisc washrooms they dont deliver st home even if you buy online you have to pickup from store.

Great store in theory. The staff are friendly and will ask you I'd they can assist. They're on the ball. However, once you find that special item especially electronics...well, be prepared for it to be out of stock for months. (I attempted to pick up a monitor, laptop, gaming tower and even a mouse...) With not one success.

I had a frustrating experience ordering an item online for in store pickup. The order was canceled by Staples without explanation. When I came to the store to search for an alternative product instead, I found out that my order had been canceled because they could not find the product in stock despite being listed as in stock on the website. When they checked again, they found it! I have had excellent service at the copy and print center, where staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and did a great job of my small color printing and binding order while I waited.

I wanted to write a review since I had exceptional service at this Staples in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories. Inder in the printing department went above and beyond to help us get some documents printed and deliver it to the appropriate location for a time sensitive project. We are not a local company to the area and could not send the documents to Whitehorse before the deadline, so we used Staples printing centre and they were so great and did everything in a quick turnaround time. Thank you so much for helping us with this task Inder!

By far the most under trained and rude staff I have ever come across, hands down. It's best to just wait for any other business to open up for what you may need if you'd like to keep your sanity.
Went down with my mom after christmas 2013 to purchase a new computer desk. After looking around and then waiting patiently for one of the staff to be free to help us, we decided to purchase a 200.00 desk and a matching 170.00 table/shelf set. It is important to note that while looking we noticed that the desk we were going to choose had two copies built on the display floor, and there was only 1 unopened box at the time of purchase. We were driving the Corolla and learned that the Staples in Fort McMurray is the ONLY STAPLES IN CANADA that doesn't offer any delivery service...so we had to arrange to pick up our items in the next couple of days when we could borrow a truck. They assured us that this happened all the time and that they would put our objects in the back with our names on them. Over the next 2 days I attempt to call Customer Service/The Electronics/Furniture departments, and consistently I got no answer. 8, 10, 11, 1, 3....Doesn't matter when you call. Finally someone as customer service answers the phone and they say they will transfer me....the line goes dead. Finally on the third day after we paid almost 400.00 for a desk and table, I am able to return with a truck. I find a clerk in the furniture department, and I tell him my name and what desk and table I bought and that I am here to pick it up. For the next hour the clerk is randomly looking around the store...in the back, between shelves...etc. I begin to suspect the worst...that they didn't put my name on the desk at all and sold it to someone else. I asked if that could have happened and the clerk assured me that there was no way that could have happened. I suggested that he check the computer to see if there was any record of a transaction AFTER mine, where that desk was purchased....as there was only one box of it when I purchased mine...it would be natural to assume that if there was a transaction after mine then the store RESOLD product that they had already received payment for. Sure enough....The Fort McMurray Staples accepted payment from me for my desk and table on January 5th, and sold another copy of that desk to someone else on January 6th. I complained to the manager...naturally..and the clerk offered a suggestion. He said that earlier that very same day...he had built a second copy of that desk in the showroom, and that it was brand new out of the box and I could take it home as is. When I asked to see the desk he indicated he built earlier that very same day, he gestured to a built version of the desk on the display floor, which I recognized as one of the desks I saw on the floor 3 days prior when I purchased one. IN fact the display model even had dust on it...odd for something he indicated to a customer with a straight face he put together himself just hours earlier. If you enjoy being lied too, calling a phone number for assistance that will never be answered, not having the option of delivery, potentially having your product sold to someone else before you can pick it up, and waiting 15 minutes or more just for a sales rep to notice you need help...then this store is definitely the one for you!
Employees are friendly, and helpful enough, although the self serve computers are very slow, unresponsive, and have a mind of there own leading to wasted time, and money. I will avoid going here from now on if possible.

Bought a sculpt keyboard... didn’t work, and since I’m out of town, thought it better to ring them and ask if this was a common occurrence with, hopefully, an easy fix... tried successive times to get through on their advertised number and no matter what option I chose, nothing happened ... the call would ring once on the specific line chosen then nothing... dead air. In this day and age, you’d expect someone to at least be able to answer the phone in the technology department.

I work at Canadian tire across the parking lot and while we are building back the store the head manager from staples where yelling at our gate security about staff parking in the lot, note that we park back along the end of rows and try not to interfere with anyone who is trying to shop at staples, well anyways he has threatened to tow people who park, it wouldn't be so bad but they only decided it was an issue as the snow is coming down and has caused us to park really far away in the cold. I'd think there would be some respect or understanding when one company is trying to rebuild after a devastating flood. . .

My dad bought me a laptop, since I had to learn from home and do my schoolwork. The Staples staff at Fort McMurray said that this laptop was a new one and they gave us a used laptop. From now on people should never buy anything from Staples because during the Covid-19 pandemic they are trying to cheat their customers and make a false profit. From now on I will never buy anything from Staples.
bought a lab top and they were going to charge me extra 50$ for turning it on i told them i could do that myself not a problem. but then they told me the only ones they had were ones that were turned on and that if i wanted it i would have to pay the 50$ charge. told them its a 1000$ laptop im sure you guys wont miss out to much. ended up not haveing to pay it but the employees were nice management wasn't so nice. spent over 2 hours dealing with this when it would have only took 15 mins. still best spot in town to get what i wanted other stores would have had to order it in. plan to go back for other things i need but only because there the only place that have stock out for you to see hope its better next time. also if anything happens to this laptop will they fallow threw on replacement plan. over all not the worse but deff not the best Edit. Been back sence with my new phone and got that liquid shield screen protecter. Wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't for the cashier ended up handing over my phone with out a scratch on the screen and got it back with like 20 scratches on it but the manager of that department redone the prosses and cam back looking like it should altho a month later the screen has cracked in bottom corners after doing some research this happens a lot and the shield is not recommended your better off dealing with the plastic or glass ones off the shelf. But over all the manager of the tech department has a really good head on her shoulders and knows how to make the customer happy glad they have her.

I have had the 'newer' staff try to BS me when I've had tech questions which they had no clue about the answer for. Do they think northern customers are clueless? Can wait a very long time and they also seem to get lost searching to stock. Service has gone down hill since the big group of new staff started. Just based on my last 3 experiences there. Walmart, Meadia Solutions and the tech place on Main street are now my go-to's.

Ordered printed labels online, went to pick up and whoever was assigned to the job is a no mind as they printed the labels on regular sheets of paper, duh! Send them back to printing school. I usually drop my shipments at Purolator Gregoire where they honestly have a decent service and good staff however last week I was in a rush then I had to send it through Purolator Staples down town , that was a big mistake never had so bad customer service in my life this young black girl was impolite , arrogant and not qualified at the end my shipment was put on hold in the processing centre because she didn't enter the contact number for the consignee . One advice don't use Purolator Staples at least not with this same person .
Pretty much only option in Fort Mac for electronics other then source.

DO NOT ORDER PHOTOS FROM THIS STORE Extremely low quality resolution and paper on the 4x6 photos I ordered. Print Centre manager seemed very disinterested and suggested it wasn't his problem that the Staples' product was of such poor quality. Reluctantly gave refund but spent most of the time ignoring me on his cell phone

The front desk NEVER answers the phone when you try to call. 2 days in a row I have tried calling for assistance as I cannot go to the store....NO ONE ANSWER. Please have someone answer the front desk phone automatically please.
I do not recommend buying a printer from Staples. I purchased a printer 4 months ago. When I purchased the printer there was no ink available to purchase with the printer. I returned to the store total of 4 times seeking the ink for the printer with no results of purchasing the ink. Every time I was told they were unable to tell me when the ink was coming in. This is just simply bad business when you sell a product that is not usable.

People wonder why others don't shop local -- Because it's a waste of our time to go to your store for you to NEVER have items in stock. lmao

I live in Nelson so need to enquire about stock before I make a 3 hour trip to visit this store. After several calls over three days, I can not get a human to answer the phone. It is obvious that staff are hidding behind the automated phone system and not trying to be helpful. I have a rather large purchase I intended to make at Staples in Cranbrook in an attempt to "Buy Local". I will now just purchase online. FYI. If local Kootenay Merchants are going to be so vocal about buying local, you had better get on the service bus, or our retail community as we know it today, will fail to survive. Not good for anyone. I always attempt to buy my items in Nelson or area but often get horrible or no service. If I don't get help or service, I go to the computer. Can't get much simpler than that! On line is getting easier and easier. In most cases I can find things cheaper and shipped to my door for nothing. I want to buy local still, however, over and over I am totally disappointed in local merchants. If it's not in stock, they are generally not interested in helping. I have read over and over in the newspaper that I should buy local and I agree! So, GET WITH IT YOU GUYS! All we want is good service. We are generally willing to pay more for a local purchase. Don't tell me you can't get it for three weeks or at all when I can go online and buy it cheaper and get it in three days! (you could do the same) In short, quit whining about dwindling sales when online marketers are providing the same goods cheaper, in many cases quicker and without the frustration of dealing with unmotivated, lazy service people!

Went into Staples earlier today. They had everyone wanting to go into the store line up as only two people allowed at once into the store. I thought I was in the Soviet Union during those 15-20 minutes. Soon we will all be lining up to get essentials.

I was at this store Yesterday to buy school supplies for my son , every year buying school supplies for my kids was a torture for me because these lists are long and either not very specific with the items required or too much specific so I was expecting the same thing to happen this year however thanks to Morgan (Staples sales associate) this task was so smooth, she was very helpful directing me to every item needed and also helping other customers . Big thanks for the great customer service it's making a big difference for any customer .

absolutely worst customer service in the copy center ever! gave me the wrong information twice putting our Christmas card order that much more behind while my husband is on night shift and I am on day shift. they can not come up with a solution at all to their error instead except my husband to come to the store and get a refund on his credit card when all we want is the Christmas cards printed in store. So now he has to wake up inconveniently before his 2nd night shift drive downtown to get a refund for cards that were suppose to process 2 days ago! and all the guy, Scott I beleive his name was on the phone said was "okay" zero help zero solution

Not impressed, got the scratch proof liquid armour coating added to my phone which seemed to attract dirt and make it stick to the screen causing two massive scratches on my brand new s21 i had bought days before after calling multiple times to try to resolve this issue being promised a gm would contact me i have gotten no where, no calls back, liquid armour are impossible to contact about this issue dont put that garbage on your phone.

I went into staples 2 mornings in a row to get assistance with color copying. The young lady at the copy desk informed me that if I didn't know How to run their machines I could not use them. She also informed me that she could not show me how to operate them as the employees are not allowed to assist as they are supposed to upsell to them doing the work for at an ridiculous upcharge. When asked about the paper and different weights was told that if I bought cardstock from them I could not use it on their machines. To say the least I truly hope this young lady is demoted and forced to take a customer service course as she is sadly lacking.

Visited this store today. Signage was not correct on product. Supervisor acted like she was going to do me a favour and give me the price. I also complained that there were 4 tills with staff behind them and only one was open. Was told by the same lady (tall with dark hair) that they appreciated it when the customers had patience when they were getting slammed. What an attitude! If a staff member is not going to ring in customers maybe they should not stand behind the till.
I’m from Alberta and just witnessed horrible service by a employee or manager not sure! Snotty service when a gentleman was dropping off a item for puralator! Her tone in her voice was uncalled for!

Went in to buy a smart watch, the staff was super friendly and helpful. They didn't have what I was looking for in stock but the manager (gentleman with a profesional looking mohawk) was extremely accomidating. The entire staff was friendly and patient, best electronic customer service in town. I didn't feel pressured by the staff but it was easy to get help when I needed it. A+ for great customer service, even from the young teen who initially helped me. Not the first time I've used them and won't be the last purely based on their attention and care.

We ordered a laptop that was not in stock at the time. We were told that it would be 3-5 business days and it arrived first thing the next morning!
Went in today with router trouble and I was in a hurry because I'm in camp and needed to get to bed before shift. They scooted me right in , set me up and had me on my way in 20 minutes. Fast , friendly and helpful. What more can you ask for ??? Thanks guys :)
I went online to submit a PDF document for printing. I received an email only two hours later saying it was ready for pickup. When I picked up my order, I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the printing and the reasonable cost.

First of all, the people working here are extremely helpful and kind. There is a printer station where you can get your passport photos taken, send a fax, print documents and photos, and make copies. Very useful! You can email documents directly to the printer from your computer or phone. I don't know if you can use cash, but it does accept cards.

I was happy with the service provided. Everyone makes mistakes now and then. Wile reviewing my wedding invitations I found information missing and had to wait again for the invitations to be fixed. Once they were done, I was Happy. Porter made sure I was happy.
Worst experience ever. Wish i could rate it less than this. If you hoping to get any photographs printed id advise you go elsewhere. Its not the user unfriendly system that puts you off., but the service(lack of). Perosnally never going back there. Rather go to elsewhere #disappointed
Staples is reliable, things are in the same or similar place regardless of the store. This one is no different.
It was less than satisfactory, and I told the sales clerk this at the time. I asked for help from the "front" of the store person- could have been the manager - but he was very busy with another male employee looking at "something" on his cell phone - I was pointed in the direction of where I might find - of all things - Staples. He and his employee were rapidly speaking to each other in a language other than English- and watching something on a cell phone. Then at the check out counter - I asked for an additional roll of paper tape for a desk top adding machine - and one of these same two men - were asked to find this - after 10 minutes of waiting - and having Harpreet paged 3 times - with no response - I informed the cashier that I did not think he was planning to return - at one point the sales clerk laughingly said - well he probably has to make it - referring the the paper roll I was waiting for. This was extremely unprofessional - and I asked for the employee's name - who had absconded his task - unwillingly she gave me his name. I have since tried to call Staples today -(next day after this bad experience) on 3 separate occasions - and had no one answer the phone. What awful service - and the cashier did not give me one of the bags of purchased items - believe it or not - the desk top adding machine, which was another reason I was calling - to confirm they still had this purchase. Staples - you better rethink some of your hiring criteria - and actually get someone there who will do their job; as well - being on your cell phone - with others - publicly - laughing and watching something - I am quite certain was not work related - should be a very big no no. My boyfriend recently purchased a yeti recording microphone from here. After using it a couple times the audio stopped working. We took it back (without a receipt) hoping that maybe we could get a replacement and Debbie went above and beyond! She got a copy of the original receipt off their system , gave us a full refund and checked the stock to make sure we could get a replacement or something better! If you have any returns or questions definitely see Debbie, she'll do everything she can to help. Great customer service, we will be buying from here in the future!
Staff are not always good at customer service. And there was a couple of times that what I was looking for was out of stock. Took a month for it to be restocked.

Needed to call a few times, but these are unprecedented times.
Do not have the time to close my shop to drive all the way down to Staples to find out why another one of their re-man printer cartridges says it is not compatible with my printer, again! Tossed the last one out but not this time I should not have to. Fifth time I have tried to call and not been able to speak to anyone. Frustrating for sure for anyone. Understand staffing issues etc...but why is there not a Customer service person on full time? It does make sense for a business of this size with the variety of products they sell. Hopefully they can have this issue addressed. I always get helpful and good service when I go into the store, just not the phone.

The staff at this location are not well trained or motivated to deliver customer service,. It's not their fault, it's absentee owners and poor management. The manager here had been incredibly condescending and rude to me on more than one occasion. She is unhelpful, unkind, and just generally unpleasant. Because they are the only gig in town, rather than offer a superb customer experience, they have sunk into apathy and mediocrity. Order your stuff online, that's what we do.
