I got games, dishes, clothes, a treasure or two, a book, and a few awesome conversations for my twenty bucks, along with the satisfaction that the money will make this world a little better through the worldwide leadership and literacy programs of the Bible League of Canada. Pleasant thrift store with a decent selection of used items. Very friendly staff. Currently operating & open with regular hours (August 2020), although with reduced capacity. Picked up a few used books here for a great price (from about 10¢ to $2 each).

I was impressed with my first experience with MTS...greeted by an enthusiastic volunteer who quickly introduced me to the assistant manager who was helpful and engaging and answered all my questions. The store is clean and welcoming ...there is a nice vibe here definitely. I was unable to find anything for my golf addiction but I'm supremely hard to please...thanks for the help and the good charity work you do!

Overheard the manager saying to another customer "we don't sell those, we just throw them out" Give the stuff that is useable to hope house or a free charity that actually helps people instead of contributing to landfill. Prices are climbing, I do not visit as much as I used to. The staff in general just aren't as friendly and I would blame that on a new managment style making work life miserable! The same cashiers who used to be super polite and chatty now are miserable and cold. I feel bad for them.

The staff accepting donations is my point of issue here, I’ve had 4 bad experiences with the individuals either being very rude or not helpful whatsoever. I’ve complained twice that it’s terrible to see this for such a good cause, I’d expect much better from staff in this business, I don’t go here anymore.

These guys are a hidden treasure. They always receive lots of donations and their prices are very, very inexpensive. (I once bought a kids chapter book for something like 35 cents.) They get a lot of fairly recent books in too. The only downside is they do close early and their opening hours don't line up well with my working hours - then again, this is also a thrift store thing in general.

You would think with the name & former name the staff would be positive about Working here. I don't get the extra taxes on used & donated products? The prices has seriously gone up. No longer a store for Low Income Shoppers. Might as well buy new. As for Picking. Your return will be less when selling online. Watch the cashier when leaving your back pack to shop. They have mistakenly given my bag away to another customer. You must sanitizer your hands when entering. At this time when everyone's on Welfare prices seem to go Up here. I get it rent & staff has to be paid. But if you want your stuff sitting in the shop keep those high prices. Saturday surprise one day sale. This does not prevent Social Distancing. Suggestion: keep low prices all week, after all your goods are donated. Auction Started 2021 Christmas. Will not be bidding because website wants your credit card to bid. This is BS.

I'm an avid thrifter and have been going to Missions for a few years. The last year or so I noticed a significant price increase on some items and the quality decrease. I'm left disappointed and reminded of Value Village (high prices and damaged product) more and more. Also, the checkout staff need to be more careful when handling breakables.

This place is a very good alternative to the other big thrift store brands in town. This place is locally owned and not for profit. They sell their clothing for a much more reasonable price than some other places. The items they get seem to be of excellent quality most of the time.

Definitely one of the better thrift stores in Nova Scotia. Good selection, especially clothes and REALLY good prices. $1 CDs and barely worn button ups for $3 - $4. Appliances and decor are dated but in good condition, and I mean it's a thrift store, of course things will be dated. Staff were very friendly and an overall positive experience.

I went to this store for the first time recently. I was very impressed! The store is clean, bright, and well organized. Books were arranged by type, clothing by size and type, toys were clean and well displayed. The items for sale are better quality than I’m used to seeing at a thrift store but priced very reasonably. I found a few books and I know I could have found more to buy but my time was limited. The staff was friendly and happy. I highly recommend Mission thrift store to anyone and I’ll be back!

I checked their website to make sure they were open to accept donations and it stated they were until 5 pm. I arrived at the location and the worker told me they were not accepting donations and pointed out a crudely made cardboard sign attached to a cement barrier. I explained that I couldn't see the sign from my house and asked if they would take the donation since I was already there. He had to go ask his manager who arrived and told me that they would not accept my donation. I left and dropped it off at Valu Village. Who knew donating things could be so difficult......

Place could be a little cleaner. But I'm writing this because my mother was NOT allowed to claim a mask exemption without a doctor's letter and therefore was not allowed entry. This is illegal. Uninformed people making arbitrary decisions based on fear is going to lead to lawsuits which you will LOSE. Not only this, you've lost a good customer and a great donor. Perhaps management should be diligent in knowing and training for the current situation.

Your prices have shot through the roof in such a short time. Granted I got a small increase on my pension, but that will be taken up in my rent as each year I am assessed. I pay 30% of my wages. Other than small items in your thrift store I won't be buying because of your price increases. Some of the small appliances can be bought new at the store & comes with a warranty. The same small appliance in say Walmart could be the same price as yours so, which am I going to buy? Everything has been donated to you, are you just in it for the money?

These guys do not get a lot of mens clothing, but the quality seems better when its there. Lot of the usual junk and clutter that seem to gto places like that to die...

first of all i want to clarify i am not a complainer, in fact ive got quite a few people promoted because i make sure there service does not go unrecognized I have been to this location 3 times this YEAR yes all of 2017 3 times. it seems as though the two main ladies hate me when I've never actually talked to them. they have there video games in a display case making it a hassle for them to literally turn to the left of where their standing and pull a container out that is holding the games. just today I asked if i could see the auction book after waiting in line just like other people in line and she denies me saying i have to wait until she serves all the other customers (I did indeed buy a product which had me in line in the first place.) I personally think that's the total wrong move as i was willing to bid $100 on the item which was at $52. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE WANTING TO GET A DEAL. SURPRISINGLY VALUE VILLAGE IS CHEAPER.

Love this thrift shop!! Best prices around! They dont gouge the customers like Valu Village does. Paperbacks are less than a buck and movie sets are reasonably priced. The people are very friendly too. I enjoy visiting!

November 10th - 2015 I recently moved to town and was in desperate need of a filing cabinet. Bibles For Missions was the only store that had any. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the lady working at the front counter with such a warm smile. I browsed the store for a few minutes and another employee came to check if I needed help finding anything. This was so unlike any of my other thrift store experiences. I found a great cabinet for only $10.00!!! :) The staff were so friendly and helpful! I will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much BFM for such a pleasant shopping experience.

I was at this store in Cranbrook sometimes last week (October 6th 2015) and I had a terrible and disgusting experience. No one greeted us when we came and the store was so dirty and disorganized most especially their toys section. The women's clothing was terrible too. The clothes are filthy with used tissues inside the pockets. The cashiers and other volunteers who are working on the day of our visit were so rude and they just ignored us. They didn't even bother to approach us by asking what we are looking for. We noticed this store in town is getting worst. The customer service is so poor.

The store forces you to touch the same "99.9%" germ killing sanitizer as every other customer that walks through the door or refuses to let you shop there, despite reasoning that I'd rather keep my hands in my pocket, I even use my elbows to open the doors. Rediculous and dangerous store policy. So much for looking around in there to find something for my daughters birthday today.

An extremely wide variety of second hand items with generally good prices, but since it is all staffed by volunteers, there is the occasional weirdly priced item. Clothing comparably priced to Frenchys (and both beat Value Village). Lots of treasures, you just need to dig. I love going here!

Large and well organized thrift store. A lot of people prefer shopping here because it's well priced and the proceeds don't go to a bigger corp. It's quite spacious. Large selection of women's clothing. The men's section is quite small. There are some small furniture items available. Dedicate seasonal section all year round. Lots of toys etc for kids and currently a wall of beanie babies. There are also lots of prom dresses, albeit they're a little dated.

Fabulous store. Jam packed with everything, including, literally, a kitchen sink. Great prices on most items, plus, they have rotating sales so I spent less than I thought. The store is well-laid out, although the aisles are super small, which can get a bit stressful when the store is busy. Don't forget to bring bags though as they don't provide paper ones, only bags for purchase!
