Nice pet store in general. They've been in business here in the Valley for ages, but I was surprised by the selection of CBD oils they're somehow getting away with selling. The young folks behind the counter seemed to honestly believe it's legal which of course it isn't, and even if it was, a pet store couldn't be a legal cannabis retailer because legal retailers are allowed to sell cannabis products only. It's great that BC still has no real enforcement against black market cannabis sales, and it's silly for it to still be such a controlled substance since it's not intoxicating and has no known side effects, but you can't even buy pure CBD oils from the recreational government website (although confusingly blended THC/CBD oil is legal but again only from the very few licenced retailers) and pure CBD is totally illegal without a proper prescription which would only let you buy directly from a legal medical company and not some local black market producers through an illegal retail situation. Branding it for dogs obviously doesn't change that, but the demand for CBD is huge because many people seem to get relief from a range of complaints, and the availability is very low. Another customer was saying he and his dog both get relief from the same product so it's great that Woofy's is willing to stick their neck out like this, especially with the new laws since "legalization" making the potential legal penalties more severe than they've ever been.
