I recently came across Unbridled on Instagram while dress shopping for family photos this Fall. The dress I fell in love with was available for in store purchase and not online. I didn't even have to ask if they would make an exception and mail the dress to me, they offered without any hesitation. Their attention to customer service and prompt responses to my messages while navigating what size would fit me was so refreshing as many businesses have an auto response to "Call the store" whenever I reached out. Although it would take me a ferry ride to visit their store in person, I will 100% consider them for a bridal gown when my day comes because their level of service was outstanding and they truly care about their customers. An absolutely amazing experience from the second I set foot in the door. Jacklyn was incredibly welcoming and has amazing customer service, she is incredibly comfortable to be around. My mom and aunt came with me and felt the same. Jacklyn was really good at selecting dresses of all different styles to allow me to see many different options, some of which I liked more than I thought I would. She is obviously quite experienced and knowledgeable, letting us know any small alterations, pointing out specific details in each dress. She was super comfortable to be around in the room trying on dresses which can be slightly nerve wracking as you're standing with an open dress mostly naked when she comes in. The store was incredibly clean, very comfortable and well taken care of. There's more than just dresses in the store, she also has a beautiful assortment of products! I've been to a small handful of stores looking for the perfect dress and this was by far the best experience I've had.

Fantastic experience at the salon today! I came with future Mom - and Sister in law and we had a great time. Jacklyn was super nice, I immediately felt comfy in her company and really enjoyed the whole experience so much. The salon has a great selection and I was so excited to try on my favourite brand! Jacklyn was open to my ideas but also brought in her own input and twist which I appreciated. It was a very special moment for all of us.

This little shop is incredible! I flew from Nova Scotia to find my perfect dress, and cannot say enough about my experience here. Although I did not find "the one" (although it was so close), I am so happy I was able to spend some time here. The collection of gowns, although small, were all so incredibly special. The owner Jacklyn, was also an angel! She made me feel so special and beautiful. She gave phenomenal advice - from showing all types/shapes of gowns (what looked best and what didn't), veils and even how to wear my hair. I am so grateful for her and for giving myself and my family such an unforgettable experience! By far the best wedding shop I have went to! Xoxo

What can I say - when I walked into Unbridled for the first time, Jacklyn instantly felt like a girlfriend I’d known since grade school. Her store is stunningly styled and feels like a boutique bridal shop you’d normally find in a super trendy suburb of Southern California! As a wedding planner, this is the first place I send my brides (or anyone looking for an outfit for an event) when they’re looking for the perfect dress. PS check out the gorgeous retail inventory - TONS of awesome candles/earrings/gifts/veils. You’ll love this place.

I had ordered some beautiful earrings online from Unbridled in Courtenay because I like to support local businesses. I ordered them on January 25 2021 and still have not received them, despite being promised them by my original wedding date on May 10, 2021 (which was postponed until further notice due to tighter covid restrictions) The earrings are made to order, but are not custom by any means and I was aware this would take up to 6-8 weeks to complete, not 17 plus weeks.... I requested a refund because I was worried I would not receive the earrings by our wedding date and ended up purchasing a different pair from Etsy that was handmade and shipped to me and received within 3 days of placing my order. Anyways, my request was turned down because the shop does not accept any refunds whatsoever, so I then asked them to just mail them to me (which was the option I selected at checkout) because I want to leave this issue in the past. I have emailed them twice this month and still have not received anything back so now I'm being ignored by the business and now I'm at a loss for $400. The owner keeps acting like she has no control in the situation and that it's all my fault. I have never been ignored or treated like this by any business ever and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else! Update: The owner has contacted me and claims that the earrings are on their way to me. I have yet to receive the tracking info, but will be on the lookout for my order.
