The staff are friendly and help you with whatever you may need, they offer the best hour to hour prices and are a 1min walk from the water, the kayaks are super stable and the even do pick up and drop off kayaks for another cheap addition in price, well worth it

Great place for rentals. Very glad my parents had introduced me to here. Great staff and great service. They gave us a step to step tutorial before getting into the water and showed us how to get into the kayaks. Loved the area and the views. Would love to go again.

I went in today, looking for a paddle after getting referred by staff at my campground. I found everyone very friendly and welcoming, which is great for a novice kayaker. Brandon helped me pick out the right paddle for my purposes, explaining the pros and cons of each model. I never felt rushed and they seemed genuinely grateful for my business. I'd definitely come back and support a local business.

I love the people here, warm, friendly, helpful, informative, enthusiastic & truly knowledgeable about their sport. Rental fee's are reasonable, they do deliver to location for groups. Or pick up if you have a vehicle capable of transporting your rental. Wide selection of kayak's, canoe's, paddle board's, plus the accessories for all of the above mentioned. Something suitable for every level & kind of paddler. Good idea to book your rental ahead, particularly when weather is going to be ideal. Drop in rental is possible, though selection can be limited. The store itself is located just off the Puntledge River. Which is a lovely paddle on a warm summer day or evening. If you head towards the ocean you'll pass Comox harbour, keep going & you'll come to the Navy Base which is located on the pennisula of Goose Spit Park , a favorite beach for locals. Cannot promise you wildlife encounters, but whenever I've launched from this location - I've had the privilege of encountering curious seals. Highly recommend renting here for a paddle from this location, for anyone that wants a incredible experience..

We were looking for a great introduction to sea kayaking on our holiday and various places we called were booked up for a while. Found Comox Valley Kayaks on Google, called them up on very short notice and they said come on down. They recommended when to come for high tide for the most enjoyment. We showed up and we were hooked up and on the water with help and a great waterproof map within 20 minutes. Fantastic well serviced rigs and good safety equipment. Rented a double and single with rudder on each. Put in just a short walking distance from the rental shack. Excellent pricing. Went out on a 3.5 hour tour of the estuary and into the harbour. Enjoyed seeing seals, jellyfish, various birds, lots of shells, a sandy beach peninsula and a really cool ship wreck. My teen kids absolutely loved it! It was really hard work for them being their first time but I found it so relaxing and stimulating. We forgot drinking water because we were so excited to get out. Will remember next time, as well as snacks. Staff were so nice. Highly recommended! Thank you Comox Valley Kayaks & Canoes.

Rented sea kayaks for a trip to little mexico at the Comox harbor. The Gear was good. The young staff, though kinda turned off. Seemed like the did not like their job to much. Zero excitment. Since it was a bit windy we asked them, if it was even possible to do our trip. The just said, hug the shoreline. With their experience, they should have told us no way. To windy, go the other way up river or even call it off. I really wonder how they with all their years of having a shop, cannot give proper weather conditions!?!

I booked three canoes for July long weekend to do the Sayward forest Canoe route. Don delivered the canoes for us and their service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for renting canoes/kayaks.
