Due to some computer glitch the night concierge had to do some computer magic at check in. He sorted it out and I eventually got to bed.

We stayed for two nights in February. We stayed in a few other hotels on our trip up Vancouver Island and this one we paid the most for and had the worst experience. Customer service was lacking, we could hear noise from the rooms on both sides of us, above us and in the hallway, despite the fact that the hotel was not full. We didn’t sleep well either night we were there. Our room was never refreshed with new towels or coffee despite the fact that we needed both. The restaurant for breakfast was crowded with one single server who was overwhelmed with customers while more than 10 tables sat covered with dirty dishes. We felt terrible for her. No employee ever asked us how we were doing, tried to improve our stay or went above and beyond their minimum duty at any point. We were very disappointed that we chose to spend our money here rather than any of the cheaper, more customer service oriented accommodation in the comox valley. We recommend you stay elsewhere.

Pleasant stay, with good food and good service. Second night had a guest in the joining room turn TV on around 4- 4:30 am. If it wasn't for that I would have given it a 5 star rating.

Used to stay here quite regularly. Unfortunitly since my last stay i will never be returning to this establishment. I was told upon check in the rate for a single queen room for 1 night would be 179$ i asked if I could pay a cash deposit instead of using a credit card and was told that would not be problem. I was told the total was jus over 600$. After walking into my room and laying on the bed.. I shortly after noticed a large ant crawling across me.. I jump off the bed and brushed off the ant. Instantly checking the bed for any more ants.. I did not find any and was satisfied it might have just been the one.. how ever upon using the washroom for the first time I couldn't help but notice 3 large ants on the floor of the washroom. This was very unsettling to find in a hotel room. I can only image how many more ants are living in these walls. Now upon check out I decided to politely mention the ant problem in hopes they may not know of this problem and then give them an opertunity to look into it further befor it gets out of hand. After the room was checked over by there staff I was asked to present my debit card for the damage deposit refund, I was shocked when I heard them say that I would only be getting 200$ returned to me as the room rate was actually 359$ after long debate and me even looking on there website and finding the same room for 189$.. I was forced to except my fate and pay 359$ for a room that I was not satisfied with from the moment I layed down on the bed. I hope nobody else has to experience that level of stress upon checking out of a hotel room, especially after an uncomfortable stay.
