Great place place to buy in store.....you can get much better prices if you can wait......online at Amazon but if you need something immediately......
Friendly, knowledgeable, if young, staff helped us with computers and surround speakers. Productive outing ????
The staff here are excellent to deal with every visit. Returns are easy and painless. The rest of the store is the usual box store offerings. They will price-match any online price so bring your phone in and look up items you are going to buy while in the store.
Excellent staff (ask for Viet ) and as competitive as can be. Have had nothing but good experience with this store and staff. A must for any and all electronic needs or just advice !
Helpful staff with products i needed on the shelf. Return policy is easy too.
I have a Geek Squad membership. The membership covers service to your home to do installations. My call went to Columbia. The guy could barely speak English. He could not fulfill his job. I have no appointment. I call the number to the Courtaney store from the number showing here and all I get is a extremely long winded message with a 1-888 number for me to call. I call this number and have to listen to another extremely long winded message. Now I sit on hold. All I want to do is make an appointment. I dont think they want my business.
Can't even pick up a phone? Charge $10 for a Esim voucher
So apparently they put games out on the floor they don't have in the store. I was super excited to find a harder to find game sitting on their shelf, no game in case, but like play and trade I figured they had the disc in a binder or something. Nope, "we can order it in for you". Ah well, may you have all the success of future shop in the coming year.
Went there to buy my daughter's Christmas gift, I myself had no clue about everything the smart watch was capable of doing. The first person who was helping me honestly told me that he was not knowledgable about the product but he would get me a staff member that could. The next staff member, and I wish I could remember his name, was absolutely wonderful!!! He himself had an apple watch (we were looking at a Samsung) and was demonstrating what it could do. He even took the time to show us one of the apps he has on his phone. He was an A+ sales associate!!!!! I am technically challenged but know I can shop in confidence at Best Buy because of the knowledge of their employees, even if one is not sure they find another sales associate that does!!!!!
Clean store, attentive and helpful staff all make shopping easy here. The Geek Squad is a very knowledgeable group that defines excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
Lousy selection and staff that don't know much about products. Quick to make stuff up and hide. Makes The Source and Walmart attractive
I strongly recommend calling any of the numbers found on the internet and finding someone to talk to before buying. I boughta tv from here. They forgot to send a remote and owners manual. I called every number i could find and got nothing but "go to our website". I am returning the tv and never dealing with them again.
Glad they came to town. Sales staff is usually helpful. Easy parking
Unfortunately all stores will not allow you to contact stores anymore due to the pandemic. I just need to call or send an email, but the online chat doesn't help and I need to speak with the specific store. Not impressed.
Staff were fine. Store was clean. There was a large area in audio that was unused.
These guys here are fun and helpful. We were shopping phones and plans . Very helpful.
The employees practice proper safety practices!!
Had what I wanted, floor staff is clueless but senior safe were very helpful
Great store great staff. Best Best Buy on the island by far.
Lovely staff! They were helpful, knowledgeable and fun. The selection was great and we got help right away.
Selection is a little low, service is very friendly. Washrooms inside. Good place for electronics, but I’d recommend just going to Costco if you want to buy a TV or a Laptop.
Sunday night before close, lots of staff - no one asked if I needed help, not sure if that's good or bad! Good stick and everything priced, easy to find.
Standard layout. When they changed from FutureShop to Best Buy they tried really hard to be upbeat and positive, presenting a helpful attitude. It has been a few months now and the service is back to what it was when it was a FutureShop.
You see I LOVE dancing at this studio, best buy has always got my back; except when they don't
Kyle helped us get new phones and awesome deals, he took extra time to put our protectors on and was super resourceful! Thank you Kyle :)
Falling behind from what they once were with respect to selection and products. Many young staff here who do not have the savvy answers that more experienced staff have. Exchange policies and prices and great.
Pretty small Best Buy. Didn’t have all that I was looking for. Could be a Covid related supply issue...can’t say for sure. Staff didn’t come to offer help, had to find one to help us.... again, could be a Covid thing. Left with most of what I needed but not everything ... Amazon to the rescue I guess.
Extremely happy with the customer service provided by Sara, she was very diligent and went the extra mile helping me, awesome job, ill be coming back to Best Buy just based on this experience alone!
i went into best buy to purchase a gaming headset for a computer. i had the brand turtle beach in mind cause they are fair priced for quality, an have had good history with them. i asked an employee there a older man late 50's grey hair 6'2 average build, if they carried them an what i needed them for. he brought me to ones that were labeled ps4 i asked him you sure they work on computer, he replied yes, i said guaranteed no problems or glitches, he said no worries and as i walked back to the till with him i turned back and said you 100% on that cause it will be a pain for me to have to come back, and he gave me the thumbs up. now here i am sitting with a gaming headset that does not work for computer unless you buy some special adapter for it. i work in a sales position and the worst thing you could do for your store is misdirect customers on products they need just to push a sale. you may think its good for the store but it builds a really bad reputation and over time if enough word spreads that employee's are like that and have put off enough customers from doing it to them can kill your business. never have i ever pushed a sale onto someone, an i have stopped people from buying something cause it doesn't actually serve their purpose even thou they thought it would. since we do that where i work gets great business since people know that we will do everything in our power to make sure they are getting what they need.
Good service and support ????
So many different types of electronics and tech. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Had my phone screen protector replaced. Was quick and customer service was excellent !
Took for ever for anyone to come see me for help, too busy talking about personal life. When someone came, they had no knowledge whatsoever, only to read the labels and regurgitate the information I had read. Google, and YouTube is more helpful. Left without buying. Decided to buy from a small business in town instead.
Good at sales, but when it comes time for warranty service you are on your own. You must deal with the manufacturer (HP or Razer in my case), with no help or guidance from the repair department. Makes it worth dealing with smaller, local shops, even if the prices are higher.
Found my daughter's cell number some how and returned my driver's license and service card haha grateful!
Bought new appliances from here. Fridge came with scratched handles. Customer service said they'd send replacement handles but I never heard from them again. Will change this review if they decide to fix the issue.
The store has a very large selection of electronics and more. The staff have always been very helpful and never pushed me to buy something. I am always greeted by the staff if they are not busy. The shelves can feel very crowded at times, especially in the computer accessories area.
Great deals this week! Dont miss.
Great service and a well maintained store. Would shop here again!
Finally able to order an extra battery for a drone I bought at the same store.
Always the "Best buy" in electronics. Almost always the best price if you shop around and compare.
The store is clean and well stocked with sales items. The staff are friendly and approachable.
Very friendly. Tho if its slow be ready to be asked if your doing all right or need help with anything by 5 different employees.
Sales reps outright lie in order to push protection plans. Do yourself a favour and skip the plans. Better yet, shop somewhere else entirely.
Went here to get a new cell phone the other day and dealt with a young lady who looked like she fell into a box of makeup and then went to work. Very rude off the start and not very helpful. I left and got a new phone from friendly informative people at Walmart. Came out of there with $350 in gift cards in the end.
Besides how often I get asked if I need help it's a good time
In store service has been good. I’m just upset my email was added to a subscription list without permission! I asked for an emailed receipt not Geek Squads newsletters!
Just looking, not buying. They did have e a selection of the products I was looking for, it, I now have to I investigate the item.
Has everything you could ask for. I went for hue lights HDMI box. Not available yet.
They treat you better in the city. This is how they handle the warranties .. "here do it yourself " ..... and assumed that I didn't buy the warranty as well .. they treated a return like they have better things to do .. and don't return calls to let you know what's even going on with it . Very pour service
I'm tired of this store. If you need a tv they have that in stock. But thats about it. Need a wire for something. Order it online. Need a part for your computer. You can get it online. What is the point of an electronics store with no electronics.
Employes are not pushy. Great selection.
Need something quick it's your best buy.
Good store! Pick up was super quick, friendly and easy. Thanks!
Pushy, or uninterested young staff. Personal time should be off floor. Past purchasing exper somewhat better.
Why won't anyone at this location answer the phone? Poor customer service. Answer your phone guys.
Went in looking for a new tv i knew what i was looking for but it was 50$ more than Costco when i asked the kid if they price match he said it would be better for us to shop where we had a membership so off to costco we go lol awesome job best buy Courtney
Wanted to purchase a new computer tower. Sale person pushy on selling one year membership. Must get a commission.
Excellent service in Courtenay from a knowledgeable man by the name of Krishan. Very happy with the price, product and service
I came in and ended up with a defective phone, came back the next day and phone was replaced promptly and professionally. Also, I had a ton of questions and frivolous curiosity, but Cameron and Hector assisted me throughout with no judgment. Awesome service, thanks so much!
Competitive prices. Good service.
Service is decent, everytime I'm in there the customers are outnumbered by employees so if you need help it's reasonably fast.
Went into the courtenay location. Was looking at a $500 camera for about 10 minutes, had to seek survice from the staff. Asked the "camera dept" guy if he was experianced with cameras. He claimed he was. He was not. No questions answered. No effort on his part. I left. Had my friend (who worked for future shop before best buy took over) come in and help answer the questions I had. She made the sale for best buy. They let go of their employees who actaully knew the product. Shame on you best buy. I still bought the damn camera with no help to best buy employees.
I purchased a Macbook Air (2017) from Best Buy's website expecting a "certified refurbished" item that was in "9/10" condition. I thought purchasing this from an established retailer such as BestBuy would be a reasonable option, unlike picking up a used item from Craigslist or Kijiji. I was wrong. This item came Sept 19, 2021 and I kept it as a Christmas gift for my son. We opened it Dec 25 to discover the battery does not hold a charge. I contacted BestBuy, who explained this product was sold by a "marketplace" seller (i.e. not directly through BestBuy). So I contacted the seller "BuySpry". They have explained that they only have a 90 day warranty, so I have missed the warranty period by 6 days. To repair this on my own is $400 (shocking, given the computer cost $700). So, my son is left with a laptop that only works if plugged in - not going to work for school. I contacted Bestbuy again, and the service agent said she couldn't help me but will put in a "formal complaint" to the head office of BestBuy. I asked to be copied on this to see if it actually was done - as far as I can tell nothing has been done. Asked how they can allow such a seller to work through their website and got no real answer. I've also contacted this company BuySpry again, which is based in USA (not some far flung location with no standards). Waiting to hear if they can explain what "certified refurbished" means to them, and how this product can be rated 9/10 - obviously no response yet and not expecting a response. Overall, disappointed in the product, and that BestBuy can support such a seller on their Marketplace.
Always come here for my appliances and tech products. Several time the reps spent 30-60mins for my reuqests with np.
Came into the store with every intention of buying a new Xbox console and the Animal crossing version of the Nintendo switch. Knowing the boxes were display purpose my girlfriend and I hung in the isle for 22 minutes hoping and waiting for any of the 4 sales persons to help. Well help never came. Instead we had to detour around the sales staff blocking the main isle. What a terrible shopping experience.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Not only could I not contact the local store by phone but the person I finally was connected with (located who knows where) was completely useless and the only advice they had was to contact the local store ????♀️????♀️????
The sales guy at the cellular counter was awesome! He knows the products and which is best by application.
I bought 3 controllers and in a year they all stopped working. You can preorder a game and on the release day thay don't have the game you pre ordered. Took my laptop thare got it fixed took it home and now the FN key doesn't work its the same thing every time get it fixed and something else brakes.
It's a typical commission based sales place. When you need help you can never find someone, but when you don't need help you have a salesperson approach you every 2 minutes.
Do not I repeat do not purchase the Geek Squad Cell phone insurance. It is an utter scam. When my cell phone screen cracked the lady informed me there will be a 200 dollar deductible. And then proceeded to tell me that I will have to pay for the repairs. What a complete waste of my money. Warning DO NOT BUY this insurance.
Nothing but an absolute hassle. Can't even contact my local store and have to talk to the TERRIBLE customer service that gives you 0 helpful information. Not shopping here anymore. Ordered an "open box" item that is in "like-new" condition and it was heavily used. Now waiting on a ton of money to come back in my accounts with no compensation at all. Such a brutal process with them.
Friendly staff! thanks for the great help and wonderful service
Ordered a $100 gift card online for a birthday which never arrived by email or mail. Nothing. Tried to resolve at the local store only to find out they couldn't care less about online orders. Phoned 1-800 number which still couldn't resolve. Now waiting for 24 hours based on latest direction from Best Buy "customer service". Overall, terrible experience: impersonal, bureaucratic, and officious. Taking my business elsewhere.
Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable and willing to do everything they can to answer questions
Will personally try my best to avoid this whole company after my experience today. Had 2 items reserved and when i showed up they had sold one or lost it, had no others in stock. It also took 45 minutes to get help to ask a simple question to a staff and once we flagged and chased him down he literally walked away while I was mid sentence. Not only did I receive poor service, it almost felt that staff were going out of their way to be rude. I'm disappointed I even have to give this place a star. 0/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Very helpful staff ar mobile center
Didnt have what I needed in store (active hdmi). They said they didnt typically carry them on hand....meh
Good selection and friendly staff. Gerard was awesome with helping me find a Bluetooth speaker. Would recommend.
There was two people giving the service and the initial person who helped me, Courtney, did great but she was new. However, the person who assisted Courtney was horrible. He was rude and after telling him that his offers were not in line with my needs, he walked away. He didn't check the phones condition nor did he even turn it on to see if the phone worked. I would not go back to bestbuy to buy a phone. The team environment obviously shows they don't care
Had what I needed and they were very helpful.
wont be going back, disappointed AGAIN like previous visits. I insured the product was in stock prior to driving over 1 hour to the store, surprise that the product could not be located despite inventory saying it was there and avalible. So i choose a few other gifts, go to pay and the one game was just a empty case on the shelf the cashier informs me that they actually don't have the game in the store to sell! what the heck ???? i was told they could order these things online for me, That was an option i had prior to leaving my house and saving my time and fuel but they would not arrive until the new year
It's nice to go into a place like this and not get hounded relentlessly by salespeople, although we were offered enough help. A sales rep did answer plenty of questions about dashcams/GoPro (can't decide). There were plenty of sales throughout the store, which is clean, well organized and nicely laid out.
ELI Hamm worked with us over 2 days to make sure we received the services and product we needed. He gave excellent , seemed informed and acted professionally and pleasant . We would definitely recommend him. Jim Tuttle & Lia Wolfe
Good store but some of the young staff could use a bit of polish dealing with the elderly. Floor manager very helpfull.
I bought a TV and everything was fine till i was at the checkout. The price was $719 and the installation fee was $200 as discussed with the previous staff a day before. But the next day at the check out i told him that Cameron the previous sales person said he would work out a deal for me. The person i was dealing with said he would knock off $250 of the TV. I was exited but when the bill came it added up to $1106 including the wall mount which was for $60. It did not make sense. I paid anyways and the minute i saw the bill i was shocked to see $349 setup fee. He basically made his money back on the TV. I asked him what this was and he started beating around the bush. I will never shop there again.
They let me reserve an iPhone SE 2020 with a price tag of $599 as though I could buy it, but when I took an hour to drive out there they told me I could only buy it with a phone plan. Drove away without a phone and went to White Spot to cool my anger. Only kinda worked, shout out to White Spot for their zoo sticks
The staff is so wonderful and do their absolute best to help you with all your needs
Horrible, horrible experience. I urgently needed appliances to sell my home, but they messed up my order. I spent a whole week trying to rectify it, hours on the phone, and in the end my order got cancelled right after they told me everything was good. The one star was just because the system won't let me enter zero stars. Never again!!!
Good service helpful staff doors sometimes dont open at the appointed time with people waiting outside ( just by 5 minutes or so)
Bought a UHD BluRay and it didn't work. Returned it with no issues
Great help and he was very quick about it.
Great products but only repair there items I have a tv new but picture went they only service things sold at there store but sell exact same models
A very good Place to purchase Electronics. Staff very knowledgable.
If you would answer your phone you would have sold me a new samsung galaxy tab s7 but you didn't your loss.
Extremely helpful staff as always. I was having a hard time trying to decide what headset to get for gaming. I talked to one of the salespersons(Jared was his name, super friendly and nice.) for a good 10 minutes and they talked to me about the pros and cons of the several ones I was looking at.
These guys no nothing about the products they sell. Only interested in selling you their extended warranty. I miss the days when the sales staff were product professionals.
A nice store.
I try to use this store instead of Amazon for my electronics, and 9 times out of 10 can get what I want (today) at a better price, with better customer service and a no hassle return policy. Further, staff are always helpful and friendly to me - and I doubt they are making much of a paycheque, given the competition from online and other retail stores. I worked in electronics sales some 30-40 years ago, and income was horrible then! The only thing they no longer offer is DVD's, of course, but Walmart still does (and CD's), so that is one area Amazon can do better given the space needed for a wide selection. But for any electronics, at Best Buy you can see it, demo it, and return it if it was not what you wanted. All that within a day, unlike online, and the price is the same.
Warranty seems useless. My tablet shuts off at 90% , even with extra battery. I was told by staff that I must use another device to save my files. Give them my only communication device and wait 6 to 8 weeks for help. Why am I paying over 20 dollars per month ? For nothing! No help!
