I ordered 4 items for Halloween and I was impressed by the fast shipping. However, 2 of the items were defective. The first item was a wig which did not at all look like the advertised picture, as well, it was supposed to be a curly wig but there were many long straight pieces hanging out and the hair fibers were so sparse that there were very large noticeable gaps. The other item was a sequined disco shirt which had a seam down the center of the back. On the left side of the seam , from top to bottom, there were about 2-3 rows of missing sequins, which left about a 2 inch gap of just sheer fabric. I went to the Oya website and followed the instructions for defective items by emailing them with the explanation and pictures of the defective items. It said to expect a response within 1 day. After 5 days of no response I resent the email asking for an update. I waited another 3 days but still no response. With Halloween being around the corner time is of the essence especially when when you have to consider shipping times/delays. I was simply going to ship a return but realized that wigs are non-returnable, as well, Oya charges a return handling fee and the shipping costs are on me. I am not impressed with Oya's return policy and non-existent customer service. I will not be ordering from them again.

Back out of the Oya site and follow their own manager's advice: go shop in another shop for your Hallowe'en costumes! For explanations, read on.... Cheaply made and very dissapointing products especially for the price, and worst customer service experience - no money back of October 24th, and the management is extremely rude - told us to go shop in a real store if we weren't happy!! Amazing response for an on-line store! Had bought 2 costumes for myself (didn't know which one I would prefer, and wanted to try them to choose as they have a clearly written 10-day money back Policy - as it turns had very fine print contradicting it!. The items were cheaply made, and much shorter than the pictured products, both didn't fit (not in sizing but in slutiness) on top of being badly made with extremely cheap material. My boyfriend bought a 20's suit, which looked like a bad pyjamas, with one of the suspenders's clip that exploded into 3 parts on the 1st try (litterally within a minute!) The only reason of the return is because the products are simply not worth the price, and we were turned down extremely rudely. We will be entering a complaint on the Better Business Bureau, but in the meantime - back out of the Oya site and follow their own manager's advice: go shop in a real shop for your Hallowe'en costumes!

"We process returns within 10 days of their receipt. Due to the large number of transactions in Halloween, all returns in October are processed in the first 10 days of November. • During the Halloween season, we do not accept returns postmarked on or after October 25th. " Be careful of this company. Read the above. My wife ordered an item she did not even receive until the evening of the Oct 28th. It was too big and all the cardboard tags are still attached. There is no way she could have worn it. She shipped it back believing that as of the busyness of Halloween, all returns in Oct are processed the first 10 days of Nov. She was told by email she should have sent an email forewarning OYA sheI would be returning the costume as it was after the 25th Oct. I saw nothing in their policy of having to give them a heads up. Thus they will not accept her return and will not process a refund. I plan to post this review everywhere and intend to get the money back. When they do refund, I shall remove the review but it is very unfair as when you read their policy above, it appears to read Halloween returns will be processed the first 10 days of Nov. And there is nothing about having to send a heads up email to them if the return is after the Oct 25 (which given she received it only Oct 28 and sent it back the evening of Oct 31 thus having it post marked Nov 1 is redundant.). My wife is now out about $50 for apparently not sending a heads up email that she was returning the costume. Is she supposed to read minds and know this? The return policy is clearly stated above. Nothing is said about having to send a heads up email since it is after Oct 25. Crooked company.

I had to order from here because amazon was sold out of what I wanted. Long story short I ordered two items on accident, then when I went to pick them up at their sketchy warehouse they wouldn’t refund me for one of them. I only took one with me and told them I’d file a dispute on PayPal. Rather than saying “okay” and letting me leave, a woman came chasing after me and basically attacked me trying to either shove the other item in my bag or take the one I had back. Don’t make the same mistake as me; order from amazon before they sell out or deal with literally anyone else. Edit: I never threatened anyone, and in fact felt threatened myself when the staff member borderline attacked me. I didn't give the item back because I paid for it and need it. I only left with one item, and I told PayPal I only need a refund for half when I filed it, so I'm not sure what information you have.

I live in Ontario and in a bind to find a wizard of Oz Halloween costume Wednesday night before the event on Friday to match my wife and kid we came across Oya! I ordered the deluxe finely costume and paid for the overnight shipping. The costume was on sale so the additional shipping cost came out to the same as a normal adult male costume would cost. Anyways, the costume arrived on time (literally before I wrote this) and I’m super happy. The costume is exactly as advertised and it was such an easy interaction. Ordered a costume, checked twice about the sizing. Then I received the costume and it was too small, even though the invoice states fits child 8-10, I received a size 5-7. I am supposed to pay for the return and their error. Horrible customer service the woman on the phone just kept saying oh that is our policy. Well I am out $55.42 for their policy. Sent an email to "customer service" and they brushed it off as it being normal for an economy costume. I am over joyed by the amazing quality and customer service of this company. I am on my way to Las Vegas for an amazing THREE day costume event with over 500 other people. Costumes are mandatory. I was stressed until I happened upon Oya !!!! They saved my life. My 1st order included three costumes....one fit perfectly, one fit and was a little tight, the third was slightly not long enough. I sent them back immediately and received my new costumes without incident. Being under the gun for time restrictions I cannot express enough how quickly this company can get a costume out.......I live in Ontario and had the costume the VERY next day. The quality of the costumes are amazing....I cannot believe how awesome they are!!!!!! Thank you so much Oya for being there for me in a crunch situation. I ordered a costume for my son for a school project - he needed it for the next day (Friday) so I selected "next day" shipping during the checkout process (I ordered at about 2 pm Thursday). I got a call at 2 pm on Friday from Oya telling me that "next day" was going to be Monday. Nowhere during the checkout process did it indicate the cut-off time for "next day". Now my son has no costume for his presentation thanks to Oya's negligence. Don't buy anything from this store - they are misleading and unreliable.

DON'T SHOP HERE!!! I ordered two costumes in different sizes as I wasn't sure which one would work best. I ordered it the 16th Oct but it didn't arrive until the 22nd Oct and in the package was a note saying no returns accepted on orders postmarked after 23rd. I didn't even open the box until the 23rd!! I understand they won't accept returns right at Halloween but these things are brand new, never been worn and we are still nowhere near Halloween weekend. Complete waste of money and I am sure it isn't even legal as if they are going to have that policy they need to ship things differently as the only reason I missed this ridiculous cut off is because of their slow shipping speed. All part of their racket I guess.

Be careful if there is only 1 costume remaining. I ordered a costume and 9 days later I had not received it. My costume had a hat missing and they were waiting to hear from the supplier if they had any more. (The hat was a key piece to the costume) Who know's how long that took but I'm guessing it wasn't 9 days? Then they didn't even call or E-mail me to let me know the costume was not complete. But I have to give her credit. 9 days later and after I called in, she at least she tried to sell me an incomplete costume at a discount. Seriously WTF am I going to do with an incomplete costume? If your having it shipped, I would use a different company. I rated this one star B/C you cannot give 0 stars

Poor experience with Oya and will NEVER order with them again. I ordered a size 2-4 but what came was a size 1-2 which clearly does not fit. I email them as directed, no repsonse for 5 days. I call them. The rep admits it was his mistake but they need to "talk to the manager". End result of course I am supposed to pay $10-11 for returning an item when it was their mistake. Plus quite frankly the costume was poor quality for the price anyway. It doesn't look like I will end up getting any refund for anything and they 48 hours later still haven't responded to another enquiry into that. You might get lucky with them but if you don't your $$ is just down the tubes.

Neither fit - and when trying to return them - I was told No returns after the 24th - so much for customer service. Expensive costumes - cheaply made and bad return policy. I placed an order around noon on May 4, 2020, had my order by 10:00am on May 5th, 2020. The items that I had orded came exactly as described in the descriptions. I was in need of a clown costume... and fast. We are doing a bday parade for my nephew on the weekend. I looked at multiple websites and Oya was the only one who offered next day shipping. Even with everything going on in the world and most companies saying shipping will be delayed, I was still able to have my costumes in hand with time to spare! I will most definitely be a repeat customer!

great experience!!! Oya had hard to find items (in Canada anyway) (ball joint socks and marionette puppet headband/strings), showed up quickly, product was as expected, loved that it is in Canada esp that the dollar was worth 70 cents US when i purchased.

This place is a scam. BUYER BEWARE! I ordered an Oscar the Grouch costume. On the ordering page there was adult sizing or teen sizing. I chose teen sizing in small. I received an adult sized medium. I called immediately to let them know the mistake that happened. I was told to send them an email with a photo of what I received. I sent the email, two days later still no reply. I sent another email. Still no reply. I filled out the online contact form, another two days - no reply. I called and left another message. Someone finally called me back (Emily). She was very helpful and thought that the wrong size was just sent and if that was the case, she would send me a FedEx label to switch the sizes out. At the end of the day, she called to let me know that it turns out there is only one size for this costume as Sent from the supplier. The size that was sent was not a workable size for us to wear. So I asked for a return label still so I could receive my $116 back. She said if I wanted a refund I had to pay for the shipping back (as per the owners rules). As a consumer I didn't do anything wrong. She said they would have to update their website as it was incorrect. She then said it was the owners policy and she agreed that I shouldn't have to pay more to get my refund since it wasn't my fault and told me to email the owner. It's been over a week and the owner won't reply. So because they're incorrect I am supposed to pay more of my own money if I want my original refund back? How would anyone know this wasn't done on purpose. How would anyone know if they're just shipping wrong products out to people and then forcing them to pay shipping back for a refund in hopes they just don't ship it back! Do not buy from this company - my friends and I do elaborate costumes every year and this is the worst company I have dealt with. I'm out $116 and they are not replying to any of my emails anymore. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. Please share this review.

Excellent customer service. I bought a pair of shoes following the size chart but it was too big. I call customer service told them I would be back the next day to exchange it, when I arrived the other pair one size smaller was there waiting for me. The girl at reception told me she was sorry I had to return when in actual fact it was not her fault at all. The Elvis costume I bought was a perfect fit. Will definitely go back if I ever need anything else. Vast choices of costumes and accessories. I recommend this store 100%. Very happy customer.
