Today my mom, my daughter and my son decided to go shopping. My son enjoys going there as he likes to play with the toys while we shop. He is 3. While there a worker comes to me all frantic because another child ( not mine) about 3 years old was climbing up on the toy bin, his mother no where in site... As they store is close to closing one worker takes the cart from my son and puts the toys back in the toy bin. My son loses it and starts crying and becomes very upset. As I am trying to console him I go to the toy bin and grab a stuffed toy for him. I understand that people want to finish their shift and go home.... but maybe I was going to purchase the toys for my son? And since when is it ok to behave the way the worker did to a child? I am not impressed at all. This place is always hiring and their customer service is terrible. If I knew the workers name I would be adding it to this. I am not happy at all!

Best shopping in Amherst. People leave you alone, the prices are ok and if the used item looks defective, you can barter a bit. They have fitting rooms and signage clearly tells you what is where.

If you're on the Hunt for a bargain this is a good place to stop. The selection can be hit or miss and you have to be willing to look through the racks. You will find some good name brands in various conditions.

The clothes are affordable, but not organized by size in the women's side. I was warned by other patrons to be sure to check for stains and rips. I noticed that there were signs saying the clothes were shipped in from the states. I'm usually buying 2nd hand for the sake of the environment, but having everything shipped... Even things that weren't previously inspected for tears and stains, seems very wasteful.

Place could have been alot cleaner. Floors were so disgusting thay i couldnt even take my shoes off to try on clothes and even the baskets were full of fuzz and dirt. Bathrooms also werent cleaned. But clothes are always decently priced and cashier was very friendly.

I have been going to various Frenchy's since the late 60s. Digging through the bins was like a treasure hunt. Now they hang most of the stuff and they have taken the fun right out of it. Higher prices and less stock, I was not impressed.

A local thrift shop chain with a great selection of imported wares for reasonable prices. Everything sorted and placed in easy to find locations. Clean enough to not feel gross trying on the clothing. Prices are a bit steep for a thrift shop.

Not impressed! Baby Onsies all have a plastic tag on the inside under the armpit. No reason to have one there. Moms don’t see them and have a fussy baby all day and don’t know why! You need to stop putting one there! Period! Place them on the outside so moms can see and remove them before dressing their babies!

Get most of my clothes from here. Smaller adult sizes are lacking most days. Almost impossible to find a good belt that is not cloth. Plenty of changing rooms.toddler sizes are largely mixed together and require a lot of size checking.

FRENCHIES MAY AS WELL BE AN EAST COAST CULTURAL INSTITUTION. Don't you dare go to Value Village. Go to Frenchies first. If you want to go into a fancy curated store this is not for you. BUT if you want to go in and have an adventure searching through bins and racks to find stuff that's just as good as a fancy curated sore for a fraction of the proce, then frenchies is gonna rock your world. I've found high end vintage stuff there. It's about the experience.

It takes a lot of sorting to find something that is your size, as displaying is done in bins you have to lean over and pick through. Some of the household items are not in good condition and are so randomized you don't know what you are going to get in that bin.

Drove over 2 hours to go to this frenchys. Selection was okay, however, the service was not.. decided last minute that I didnt want to purchase a pair of pants I had as they were mens but placed in the Womans area and I didnt realise. The lady (Cheryl) at the counter advised me to put them back where I found them.... having Fibromyalgia, it was already hard to walk around the store let alone having to walk all the way back to the back of the store to put them back. She then proceeding to advise me that it's up to the customers to put any unwanted clothing back where they found it. They even had a clothing rack behind the cash for unwanted clothes. Absolute terrible service. I've been to almost every frenchys in Nova Scotia and was never treated this way..I'm absolutely blown away. Your clients arent the ones getting paid to work? Needless to say I'll be sticking to Sackville Frenchys and I will NEVER return here.

I go to this place everytime I am in NS. A vase selection of clothing in every size. Almost all of the clothes are brand new with the odd one gently ised. The prices are fantastic even though they have been raised. Well worth the digging especially if you are on a budget like me.
