Prices and selection are much worse than Dollarama, which would be excusable if the store were shoppable, but most times you can't see half the things in the shelf because of stock boxes in the aisles. This isn't a dollar store, everything is overpriced and very cheap compared to competitors like Dollarama. I bought an LOL Doll for my daughter and it was clearly a fake, this isn't even legal as it was marketed as an LOL Doll. Very disappointing.

They are dishonest! I returned to the store with my receipt asking for the money they overcharged me for a purchase. They refused to honor their own receipt. They refused to refund the amount I was overcharged and implied that I was lying about my purchase. Then smugly smiled at me after being rude to me and insisting that I will never get my money back. They told me "Its in the past just get over it" I will never shop there again and I will also let everyone in our Global Village know not to shop there.

Pretty descent dollar store. Courteous staff. Prices are a bit higher than a typical "dollar stores" in big cities but this is very "normal" for a relatively remote town. Also, do not expect the range of merchandise you see in say a Dollarama store in Toronto! That is quite "normal" for such a place too.

Purchased some led Christmas lights...walked across the street and found the same lights for half the price. Went back not even 30 minutes later to exchange, return, store credit........anything!! NO way. Wouldnt do it. That is bad business in a small struggling town like Rocky. Wont be back super disappointed.

Why they call this a dollar store, I do not know. Bargains are few and hard to find. A lot of the prices you find here you can find at other stores even when the other stores products are not on sale. I looked at canvases since I am an artist. The prices were good, but the canvases were inferior quality and Michaels often have vastly superior canvases on sale for a few bucks more. So if you can't wait for a sale, go here. But otherwise have patience and get a better product for the same price.

For me this is the dollar store to be at. I almost always find what I need. Although the location its self is small, they have found a way to pack in everything I could ever want from a small town dollar store. The books they have a typically $5, they are brand new. Just beware they do have price tag on them that are very difficult to get off just using your hands. I use a hair dryer on high for about 30 seconds, and the sticker peels right off.

I went to grab a big bag a chips which are usually around 3.50 a bag but they don't seem to sell them anymore! Never will go back. Worst customer service I've seen in a long time. Walking through the door with my two kids, the manager (as I think she was) Amey, seemed annoyed. Asked nicely if they had pirate hats was told by Amey "Packed away." Clearly she didn't want to get any out for us and was annoyed with my one question. My one son who has Autism and can't hear quite well touched the bubble gum dispenser knob and was yelled at straight away by Amey and a colleague who was at the register. They didn't even ask nicely even though I was standing right beside them clearly needing help finding something in the store was offered no help got only an abrupt answer and my kids yelled at. If this is the way a manager is going to treat children when you work in a dollar store (you must clearly get a lot of kids throughout the day) then this might not be the position for you. My children were polite and kind and even said "thank you," as we left. Children with disabilities should not be treated this way and there is a kinder way to treat people especially if you're in customer service. I will be letting my multiple Autism Family Groups know of how we were treated so that they're children won't endure the same mistreatment. I hope the owner of the store reads this comment and does some restructuring of the management. It saddens me to know these employees can treat children so awful who have disabilities with no remorse of how it makes not only them feel but their family. My first time in the store and it will sadly definitely be my last.

My dog was welcome in the store! Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome inside. Super thankful as it was 7 digits in the midday sun. (I would have driven home without shopping if I couldn't bring him in) Also, the store is only open to 30 customers at a time. There are measures in place to prevent the spread of covid19 including a hand sanitizing station.

I was looking for an odd ball item and this store had many different versions that could work. When I went through the till I mentioned this to one of the operators. I was surprised that there was so many choices. She took me around and showed me some items I missed that would work for me needs. i was very impressed that she took the time to show me other options and she was very friendly and helpful. Excellent little village store staff are great, more positivity and less I call it lurking but it is following people around not to help out but to look what they are doing...Ya know it's not how a person looks or dresses when in any store, it is the outlook of how they are treated...Dressed in dirty work clothes or dressed in your Sunday best should never determine how you are treated or how a person treats you...I give this store a 5 star, needing more "positive" management when owners are not there...Opening on time and just for the reason someone is in the store shopping, and it is closing in 5 or 10 minutes they should not be ushered out as that determines the amount they will spend, and in these times we all need as much as possible...So you have to spend an extra 15 minutes at work at least your customers are happy...wow that was more than I thought I was going to comment...Keep up the good work at the GCDS...

I had asked if an item was properly priced and compared it to Dollarama, the owner snapped at me saying "you don't know my cost, you can go to red deer!". NO STARS!!! Bought quite a bit of crafty things today at 9:15 a.m. at the Admirals store. Found I didn't need the 3 black roses so went back to the same store at 1:30p.m., with the original bak and the receipt. They refused to take them back because it's "seasonal", quoted store policy. Not one sign to advertise the fact. Told me I could talk with manager who works out of Esquimalt. Went to the Esquimalt location and they have a sign up 30 day return with receipt. They wouldn't return my $3 because they said it wasn't the right receipt (the til receipt) but I only received the credit card receipt. The manager won't be in until Tuesday. So frustrated right now. I would have bought a lot more things, but this experience has totally turned me off shopping at these stores. So for this poor business practice, these stores will loose the hundreds of dollars I have been spending at their stores. I will be definitely taking my business elsewhere and telling everyone I know not to shop there.

Its my first visit to this store as I have only just moved home from Halifax. Was not expecting such a large store. I also wanted to mention what an amazing craft section you have! Fantastic ????❤????

I find alot of things over priced here. Dollarama is cheaper. Never buy much here. Store is clean and well organized. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. Has handicap parking. Has shopping carts.
