My wife ordered some mitts online on December 20, 2021 (Curbside) for Christmas for an infant girl. We just received an email today (December 29, 2021) that they can be picked up.
My wife wanted to cancel them as Christmas was 4 days ago. I said that we could still pick them up so we went to the Chilliwack Mall.
We couldn't find any marked curbside parking anywhere for that store, so I pulled up to the front entrance.
My wife called the store on speaker phone to let them know that we were there.
However, the female store employee said that she was the only one in the store, but my wife could come in.
My wife can barely walk, so she said that I could go in and pick it up, but I was mask medically exempt. The employee said to just go in as that would not be a problem. (I heard the woman say that on speaker phone).
As I approached the lone female employee at the counter, I told her that I am here to pick up my wife's online order.
However, the female employee said that I have to wear a mask. I told her that my wife just spoke to her stating that I am mask exempt and I heard the employee saying that it was okay to come in. However, the female employee stated that I had to wear a mask.
I told her that we were going to cancel the order and that I would place this store online to warn other customers to boycott this store.
I am going one further and BOYCOTTING every store in the mall!
What a disgrace from the order being late, no signage for curbside, no curbside, to the store employee denying my medical mask exemption with a letter from my doctor after stating over the cell phone that I could go into the store.
