(Translated) Beautiful area. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and toured the area because if we didn't buy the weekend pass we couldn't attend almost nothing. We would have liked to go see the party Acadien with the Gars du Nord + La Virée, but we can't get tickets unless you buy the weekend pass at a cost of $ 55 (for 2 people $ 110) which is a bit expensive in my opinion when a ticket to see Shania Twain was cheaper. So we decided not to buy anything. You missed a sale, dear Acadians. We returned to Gîte Maison Dugas (which I give a 5 star) and had a great evening in the company of tourists who did the same thing as us. Sorry but you have some improvements to make. (Original) Trés bel endroit. Nous sommes arrivé un samedi en après-midi et avons visité les alentours car si nous n'achetions pas la passe pour la fin de semaine, nous ne pouvions assister à rien ou presque. Nous aurions aimé aller voir le spectacle le Party acadien avec les Gars du Nord+La Virée mais impossible d'avoir des billets à moins que d'acheter la passe pour la fin de semaine au coût de 55$ ( pour 2 personnes 110$ ) qui fait cher un peu à mon avis quand un billet pour aller voir Shania Twain était moins cher. Nous avons donc décidé de ne rien acheté. Vous avez manqué une vente chers acadiens. Nous sommes retourné au Gîte Maison Dugas ( à qui je donne un 5 étoiles ) et avons passé une excellente soirée en compagnie de touriste qui ont fait la même chose que nous. Désolé mais vous auriez quelques améliorations à apporter.

I attended this festival one afternoon in August 2017. I made a special trip and was disappointed by the apparent lack of interest by the organizers in attracting non French speaking attendees. The website for the event is completely in French (after the event has been running for decades). When one punches the button for English, the screen simply says, "We're workin' on it, folks!" Really? I had no clue where to go once I got into Caraquet and finally stopped at a hotel, where I was handed a brochure (in French) and was told that a concert would be held in about 20 minutes. I got there and was able to purchase one of the last tickets. I didn't mind that the songs were all in French but an additional brief introduction to the group in English would have been welcome (as would have been the handout at the event (in French)). If this event is simply a type of reunion for Acadians, the setup makes sense but if it is designed to appeal to a wider audience and attract those with a limited knowledge of the culture of the area the event is a major failure. I am writing this as a US citizen who has generally had extremely positive travel experiences in Canada.
