I prefer to do most of my grocery shopping at this store in Midland. It has the widest selection with usually competitive prices. They do pricematch if you find a better price elsewhere. Aside from the usual at a grocery store they have a fresh made sushi bar, prepared meals, fresh seafood and butcher, housewares, pharmacy, large organic section, clothing, beer and wine, cooking classes, decorate your own tableware, some electronics and a mobile carrier stand. Things that could be better: I find the produce is not always the freshest, it can be difficult to find some items, their ethnic selections are limited and the aisles are often crowded (both with displays and with people).

If the fresh produce isn't completely out of stock it's usually rotting on the shelves. If you're looking for a deal on meat go here, but don't expect quality. If you're looking for ingredients for an exotic dish however, they have you covered. Most of the the other stores in town are so white washed it becomes a task finding something more than just one brand of hoisin or a bottle of mirin. The only reason this store gets 2 stars is because of their diversity in selection.

Best variety in North Simcoe for grocery products. Good pricing and great staff. Some of the fish products are best purchased on specific days to ensure freshness - ask the staff they will tell you when best days to purchase. Salmon for example is typically on Friday from what I was last told - makes sense as getting ready for weekend. Watch the flyer - and they do price match - and do offer Click and Collect - order online before heading to cottage and pick up all ready for you when you get there!

Probably the best grocery shop in the area, but just expect basic items (e.g. there's no fancy cheese section or anything). The staff are friendly and the prices are competitive. Lots of other services, such as a gym, dry cleaning, optometrist, etc. conveniently on site. If you arrive too early the produce stands may not be fully stocked yet.

Lineups have gotten progressively longer, and despite trying to push people through automatic tellers its not improving when they have half the tills shut down. Dropped off a prescription at the pharmacy today, was told approximately a 1hr wait. No problem, had other errands. 2.5hrs later it still was not filled. I travel an hour to come into town, and don't have the time to wait additional hours past scheduled times. I will be moving my families prescriptions to another pharmacy, and will gladly pay a little more for my groceries to get some semblance of service and speed.

One the plus side: The store has more selection than most in the area, especially in Organic products and produce. One the negative side: Long lines are the norm in my experience. Sale prices may not be programmed into the cash registers. Watch your items as they go through! I recently had to spend over 30 minutes, two trips to "customer confrontation" and a trip to the huge end of aisle display to get the sign I was told wasn't there!!! All to get refunded $4.00 for some toilet paper that I would not have bought otherwise. Every person I deal with was crabby, condescending and disagreeable, even though the store had clearly made an error.

They have a massive selection, their prices are always good and usually cheaper than anywhere else, the deli staff is always helpful, and sale prices are great. Costco has larger quantities and Save-On has some specifics, but Superstore has selection, bulk, and just lots of everything you could want. Great supermarket!

We always shop here because they have the best prices but the staff are straight up miserable. We always try to avoid Krista because she is so rude but today she was the only till open and we had $400 worth of groceries to put through. I asked her a question about the deli hours and she was very short, sighed heavily, rolled her eyes, no eye contact. Finally I pointed out that she must hate her job, she said nothing handed me the receipt and we packed our items while the next one's came through, really brought down our mood.

I shop in this location every week (sometimes on multiple days) but Monday was almost enough to make me switch stores. It was due to at LEAST 6 people not wearing masks. When I mentioned it to store staff, they immediately made an announcement but still allowed those people to go through the check out. We are so close to the finish line. I used PCExpress for the first time. I don't recommend it. They literally threw my groceries in my trailer, half the groceries were not even bagged, everything was thrown loose in the trailer, disorganized with heavy items on top of softer ones like bananas and chips. They selected the worst possible mushrooms on my behalf, and although they're supposed to check with the customer before substituting, they never bothered calling or texting me to check with me when they substituted my ordered Ketchup chips with BBQ instead and regular chips with dill pickle chips (both flavors none in my family likes). And they substituted my 16kg dog food bag for 2 7.2kg and charged me the full price of both bags which is $6 more expensive than the bigger bag and has only 14.4kg instead of 16kg. I am also missing one lasagna completely although they charged me for 2. And the kid who came to load my groceries was absolutely rude and utterly disrespectful. Finally, they gave me a 3-month free PCinsiders coupon that expired over a month ago. Then I waited over half an hour to get someone on the phone who didnt care about "my troubles" and got an $18 voucher in an email, for the missing item and price difference with dog food. Very disappointed, doesn't begin to describe it.

2020-12-09 update OUCH! When eveeything is painted battleship gray it's hard to see the staircase... a bit of yellow paint would help. 2020-11-30 update Store not enforcing new mask requirements covering nose and mouth and permitting customers to wear clear face shields. Staff very helpful in showing you where the item is your looking for.... one issue for people who have disabilities, it's difficult to get a cart and return it due to having to put looney in the carts... as a comparison Courtenay Superstore has disabled the deposit system during Covid 19.

I went to Superstore to change my phone plan from Bell, to Shaw. I switched my Bell Cell phone accounts from Bell over to Shaw. I had no complaints about Bell, just the fact that I am now saving $150/month on my combined Cell phone, Internet and Television accounts across 2 provinces is a Big plus for me. The costs associated with moving for AB to B.C. are far greater than most people would imagine. The people at the Cell phone store inside Superstore were very pleasant and quite helpful in helping me to navigate the loose ends of combining accounts and transitioning me into having all my data accounts consolidated under 1 provider, which is Shaw. I am traveling fro province to province by car, air and truck and motor home; The # 1 dilemma and what turned out to be the a problem of the highest priority is "Staying connected to data" while zigzagging across provinces, motels, hotels, RV Parks and airports. I have to say that I am already so happy with the seamless streaming of data on my travels via the Shaw go platform. The connectivity for Shaw is the same as it was on Bell, only better because of the shaw go. I am very pleased with my new provider, and the savings are a big giant + for me at a time when costs are mounting.

Just went into this store today. Walked in, turned around and walked right out. There were way too many people way to close to each other. No social distancing at the cash. No social distancing from the staff or other customers. I watched as one woman handed a loonie to another in exchange for her cart. I watched as another customer handles half a dozen apples before changing her mind and walking away. Went to the No Frills in town. They are limiting the number of customers in the store, wiping down shopping carts and working very hard to make sure people stay a respectable distance from each other. Stay away from the Supercenter if you can. It's a disaster just waiting to happen.

I always do the click and collect and I love it. The staff are always super friendly and are great about contacting me for substitutions to my items. Once there was a mix up and they were apologetic and quickly fixed the mishap and I walked away more than happy. I highly recommend the program to every one! I do like this place but the prices are going up and now it's getting to a point where I to travel to Lethbridge to the wholesale company to buy my groceries a box of chicken was $11 now it's at 18 or $19 I roughly spend about 900 + $a week I know all the staff and are extremely nice. I would like to make a list of other prices and changes but it makes me upset. I do understand about inflation I do know the markets for the different foods. Its just sheer greed and taking advantage of your customers. It's bad if I could drive to Alberta and back and save money just saying. I do like the point system but because of the price is always going up I really don't save any money my bean counters keep track of the profit and loss of this company point system when I'm buying food towards what I'm saving I really don't save anyting it looks good but that's it. Found it very difficult to find PC Extra Old Cheese, as they have cheese in the deli section where I couldn't locate it. I asked someone who works there for help, and was sent to the dairy section, where I couldn't find any of the cheese. I asked someone else who was working closer to the dairy section, who sent me down an isle, where I finally located it. Also, I was unable to locate the electronics in the RCSS. Other RCSS stores have been laid out in a way that I had little to no trouble finding the items that they carried. So all-in-all, I wasn't very impressed with this location, including the initial directions I was provided by staff while I was there.

Some produce is digusting at times and left on display for a long time after it is no longer fit for sale. This is not just another real superstore. The staff here is very helpful and they take their time to assist people in every way possible. The also have a halal selection of meat products so that's great. The lines in the checkouts also move very quickly. I love shopping here. Had my quickest visit yesterday! Was very disappointed this store was not screening how many people were going in and out and there was WAY too many people in the location, making social distancing impossible. There was 10 people gathered in the self checkout. They had lines on the floor to distance the carts but they were positioned the wrong way, so you had to walk down along side all these people (within a foot) I did call when I got home as I was concerned. I know my call was pointless as the person I spoke with just argued with me like it was a customer complaint. I would never call and complain about any essential store staying open right now for us! Avoid this store until they start to understand the harm they are causing during this time.

But there's reasons that stores like RCSS prices are higher, fresh seafood, deli, bakery, readymade foods etc. Stores like these have higher overhead than stores like it's sister No Frills.

I used to love grocery shopping here but it has become hard to find the things I'm looking for as many things I need are empty on the shelves by 930am (due to personal shoppers taking it all) Otherwise the store is clean, well lit and laid out. The friendliness of the cashiers depends on who you go to.

I don’t go in as I frequently see people not wearing face masks entering and exiting the building. I do, however, use their curbside pick up. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Wait times aren’t usually too bad, the staff are friendly and following Covid precautions very well. I will continue to use this service.

I was in tonight about an 90 minutes before close the Thursday before August long weekend. I realize being that late I should expect shortages, but I went in for one thing specifically and they were sold out. I know it's not their fault because they cant control what people buy, but it is still frustrating when I'm in town for the day and have to drive over an hour to get home and they dont have what I needed and cant get it at any stores at home either. Otherwise it was clean and the staff are friendly but they only had 2 tills open and long lines at each. I was going to pay with cash but was uninterested in waiting that long when the self checkout was available

Greatgrocery shopping experience at the Real Canadian Superstore...Wonderful produce .Deli has a great selection .All departnts are very user friendly and easy to find everything on your shopping list. Exceptional parking with ease of entrance and exit .And if you find you need to refuel as your exiting there gas bar is perfaectly situated to address your needs.
