I walked in and looked around in seek of a bed. Since i arrived in Campbell River my luck hasnt been the best. My luck changed walking into Merit, Mark was amazing and helped me out a great deal. I will always go back here for my furniture needs.

A new couch and table with chairs.. found here. The price was better and delivery was cheaper. They were prompt and knowledgable but one fellow was not tuned in to our needs. Costs this outfit a star.

Purchased a bedroom set from the Campbell River store where we specifically stated we did not want pine furniture. We were led to believe we were purchasing a hardwood set and when the furniture came the set was made of pine. This is when we were told the manufacturer only used pine or alder. The bill we signed states all sales are final and you will be stuck with what you get, so buyers out there, beware; do your homework on their products before you purchase.

The head manager of this store came to my grandfathers house to assist in furniture measurements. I doubt this is something that they're able to do all the time. We are very happy & will be a loyal customer to this store in future. He was also very respectful to COVID-19 guidelines...

Wonderful! I just purchased a recliner for my man. They had a great selection and great deals for their labor day sale. I narrowed it down to a Lazy Boy recliner and saved over $850. The store manager assisted me, he was very nice, gave helpful information the transaction was quick and easy. Excellent service. Thank you!

Terrible! We spent $3000 on couch and chair and it is a rip off. The color wipes off (brown leather), looks like the furniture is 20 years old with all the worn spots and some spots worn right through. We have only had the furniture 3 years. We will never buy furniture at Merit again.

Thank you to Mark and his wonderful team! Their customer service went above and beyond. I have never experienced a warranty issue before but when I shared my concerns with them about a couch we had recently purchased they re-ordered us replacement cushions immediately, without any hassle. Then COVID happened, and orders were taking longer to process, manufacture and ship. Our cushions were lost somewhere in transit. They reordered again and we continued to wait. Very unexpectedly, to my surprise Mark called me last week to let me know that he had requested from the manufacturer that we receive a credit for our sofa. Mark invited me to the showroom and helped me choose a new high end sofa from their large selection. He arranged a quick delivery and pickup of our old sofa. I am very thankful that Mark advocated on our behalf and for the customer service and support that I have received from Merit Furniture. They have a large showroom with many selections to choose from, if you are in need of new furniture or appliances I highly recommend.

Had a great experience buying a couch with Merit. After visiting the other furniture stores in town, imo Merit has the nicest showroom and largest selection of items. It also had more unique items compared to the other stores. Mark was very helpful. He showed us which items would be immediately available (which is what we needed) quickly then left us to deliberate without being pushy. We decided on an item and proceeded to buy it. The most impressive part of the deal was Mark arranged for *same day delivery* after some discussion with the moving crew, who were already out on deliveries. He also stopped by our new place to assess how to deliver the item. Huge shout out to the delivery crew. Our staircase did not allow the passage of the couch, so they used the rear entrance. It took some impressive maneuvering, yet they were able to get in the large item without any damage. They said it was one of the more difficult moves they have done, but remained friendly and positive. Overall, a great experience and very happy with product.

We purchased an Ashley sectional sofa from Merit a few months ago and have been trying to get Merit to deal with some issues we have had with it. They have been very unhelpful, blowing us off and giving us the run around. Would not recommend them to anyone. Ashley has also not returned any of our phone calls. Buyer beware.

Loved the quality of furniture my mother purchased... She had a long wait to get into her new condo and they were so great to keep it all in their warehouse for months. After a small mistake with a simple pin they went above and beyond for her. The staff made us feel like family that would be taken great care of!

I found a coffee and end table on line that I was very much interested in purchasing. Apparently none of their stores have them on the floor so I can't physically see them. Yet they want 50% upfront, 10 to 12 week delivery. Not assembled and $79.99 for delivery and set up.

Even though the store is technically closed re COVID, Mark and Hui Ching continue to work very hard providing service by appointment to their customers. They both have been very responsive and helpful to me in order to get an appliance from C.River to P.Hardy during this stressful time for all. And, I got a good sale price on my purchase too. Terrific, helpful service.

I was so impressed with Mark at Merit Home Furniture in Campbell River. I was dealing with a delivery delay due to the covid-19 situation with another company so I phoned Mark and he saw me the following day. He was knowledgeable and personable and I ended up buying the same dishwasher for the same price. The dishwasher was in their stock so I didn't have to cancel my plumber. He and his wife (also wonderful to deal with) delivered my dishwasher the same day to my garage because I have arthritis. Now that is customer service folks!!!!

Love Merit Home Furniture & Appliance. It oftentimes has good quality, unique furniture pieces at reasonable prices. Most of the staff are both friendly and helpful. My husband and I have bought several large pieces of furniture, plus appliances from them. We've always been pleased and satisfied with our purchases. Unfortunately my last visit to the store wasn't a pleasant experience. The gentleman that served me, seemed abrupt, impatient and rather rude. Consequently, though I do like this store, I hesitate to return there.

Bought some appliances a while back. They charged me the recycling fee. Only problem was they charged me more than they are allowed by law!! Make sure you know what the provincial recycling fee is for the item you are purchasing. It's probably illegal to charge more than mandated, and amounts to padding your bill. You have to watch them.

On May 2nd we went to Meritt to buy a new washing machine. They were just about to close, but stayed open to help us. The owner was very accommodating and knowledgeable about which washer to buy (to match our drier). He also had it delivered to our doorstep 15 minutes later! Great service and I would recommend them to everyone. Added bonus - same washing machine was over $100. more at a competitor (big box) store!

All other stores had at least a 15 day wait, Merit not only had what we wanted in stock but made sure we got the best bang for our buck. We will be back for the matching fridge and dishwasher!
