Staying open during a global pandemic? And having a huge sale? Sewing and crafts are not a necessity. Close your doors. This is the exact reason that this is spreading so rapidly. People need to take precautions. Especially a place like this with an older and more at risk customer base that are touching everything in the store!

Staff, for the most part, are friendly and helpful. I just wish they would put a bell at the cashier’s desk so one could get service quicker. Many times I have stood at the till trying to get someone’s attention while all the staff are at the cutting tables, often not serving customers.

I had a great experience at this location - Much better selection than the Vancouver location, really friendly and helpful staff, and I appreciated that the quilting fabrics were in their own area so I could see immediately where the apparel fabrics were. Not quite as good selection as the Courtenay location but I'd go back if I was in the neighbourhood! Quick note that this location is pretty crowded - the aisles can be a little hard to navigate in a wheelchair but the staff jumped at any chance to help me.

I love the variety of all sewing, crafts, yarn, fabrics available for any project. There is lots of parking space avail for all including disabled upfront. Excellent & knowledgable staff on hand. I would recommend this store for anyone who enjoys crafting.

Very helpful but can be a bit expensive unless you have a membership card that you buy so you can get discounts. In saying that the discounts are often 50%. Only rating 4 star because of having to pay for a membership card to get sales.

The ladies at Fabricland in Campbell River are so lovely, knowledgeable, and just really nice people. Since the renovations, things look really great and their selection of textiles has expanded. No more yarn sales which is too bad now that the knitting store in town is closed, but it's okay. All the fabric and notions more than make up for the lack of yarn. Lots more to choose from for needlework too!

Likely the best fabric shop on the Island. Since they have reopened they have an excellent selection of all types of fabrics. Whenever we are in Courtenay we need to stop by because we can find fabrics and items that are a struggle to find in other shops around the Island. We highly recommend this store for your fabric needs.

Being the only store between here and Nanaimo, you'd understand if the store didn't offer great service; they don't have to, you don't have any other options! But, that isn't the case. The staff is consistently friendly and sincerely interested in your projects. The selection is vast and I promise you will always find exactly what you were looking for for your next project. And probably your next, like, six projects. My one complaint would be I'd like to see a larger area for looking through the pattern books, but they can only work with the space they have available. It's also worth mentioning it's the only craft store I've ever seen with a separate area for kids to play in while the parent shops, and I think that's just a really neat touch.

"IRRESPONSIBLE" Before driving to the store, I checked the Website and phone message to confirm the store closes at 5:30 today. I arrived to the store at 4:30 for a spool of thread. The Lady at the door would not let me in because the store was closing at 5pm. A decision made yesterday without updating the website or the phone message. Even though 2 people left the store while I was being informed of the changes she still refused to let me pick up a spool of thread. I didn't need to browse, or have fabric cut, I just needed a spool of thread.

I would give this store a zero if I could. I bought a pattern and less than 1 hour later I realized I bought the wrong size. Even though it had clearly not been opened they would not exchange the pattern. I just spent $17 on a pattern I can never use because the store couldn’t use judgement and exchange the pattern. Their answer was “there is a sign on the wall”. Very disappointing.

First time that I was in the new store. No one offered assistance.
