The front staff need more training. My husband and step-daughter did not have a good experience. They told me they felt pressured and uncomfortable. They went to FYI doctors, after the eye exam here, and were blown away with the difference in customer service. The doctor seemed to do an adequate job. She also called me to apologize for the poor experience. That is where the 2 stars come from. Would not recommend.

HOORAY! My new optometrist and her staff have exceeded all of my expectations. Not an easy task considering that I have neuromyelitis optica (MS), as well as diabetes, and my eyesight can fluctuate quite drastically. Dr. Lauzon's sage advice improved my vision, allayed my fear of blindness and saved me money---her prices are very attractive.

Horrible place to go. My girlfriend went in today and was completely bullied for having not the greatest eyes. Was bullied to the point of where it felt like they weren't helping at all and then she even had to ask for her prescription as they were not going to give it to her. I don't recemeond this place after hearing that. Be professional, not be a bully.

Very rude and unprofessional. They seem more concerned with selling overpriced glasses than with eyecare. Will bully you with pushy sales techniques coupled with medical technobabble. You will walk away from Campbell River Optometry with your confidence stripped and that they are the only option for your ocular salvation.

Took months to book an appointment. The. Day of the appointment they were unorganized staff all talking over each other in the front. The system was down so they wouldn’t be able to direct Bill my benefits but the receptionist couldn’t tell me how much the appointment was going to cost. Just kept saying it depends. Overall terrible experience left without any eye exam, glasses still broken, and didn’t get to look at sunglasses because that requires a separate appointment even though I requested that when I first booked. They’re lucky they are one of the only places In town so they can get away with this kind of customer service.

Two pair of glasses were purchased from here; both of which needed to be sent to Victoria for me to receive them after they were ready. I received the package and my new glasses fast and ahead of schedule. The entire visit was professional, clean (considering Covid-19 procedures) and comfortable.

Pushy for sales of their lenses and frames. Extremely expensive to the point of insult. Asked my kids to pick out frames without even consulting with me after their exam. Expected me to pay 900 for two pairs. Went to Costco and got 4 pairs for 380 and way better service. Hard to believe this place even stays open.

I have been going to the Campbell River Optometry Centre for 5 years. They are prompt, professional and caring. The selection of eye glasses and sunglasses is unparalleled in relation to other practices in Campbell River and if there's a particular pair you don't see not he rack, they can order them for you. The price point for glasses varies widely, so you will inevitably find a pair of glasses that look good, for the price that makes sense to you. Lastly, Dr. Lauzon is a seasoned professional who is able to address any questions you may have. It's always reassuring to have someone with years worth of experience accessible to you.

I was delighted with the service I received at this Centre. I walked in off the street with a precious old pair of wire frames that I had slept on and mangled, almost certain that nothing could be done. Not only were the glasses expertly fixed for a paltry fee, the same day, but they were delivered to me at a spot close to the Quadra ferry so I didn’t have to drive in to collect them. You made my Christmas much merrier! Many thanks.

Update: The doctor contacted me and refunded the cost of the exam. Very disappointed. The appointment felt rushed. The exam took all of 15 minutes, which included the Dr taking a call and then signing paperwork for what I assume was another patient during my exam. Dr hadn't even finished my exam and had already pulled up the file for her next client and proceeded to call me by that client's name. Paid my $130 for the exam. I had to specifically ask the receptionist for my prescription, the receptionist response was not what I was expecting. She acted surprised/shock I would want my prescription. Seriously considering having a second exam done by another Dr to make sure I received the correct prescription.

I felt rushed during both exams. I went there once before and it was a terrible experience, I thought maybe i was having a off day but no it was horrible this time too. There is no eye contact with the employees or the doctor, like they don't really care to know you, but it's a job. I will not be returning to CR optometry center. Beautiful clean office = one star

Our family has been seeing Dr Lauzon for almost 20 years for our regular exams and eye wear purchases. She is a great optometrist who takes time to explain the various steps of your eye exam. She cares, and it shows. Teresa is patient and always helpful, especially when it's time to find and fit a new pair of glasses. Kelly always has a friendly smile and assists us with our eye wear questions. True professionals!

The way in which my exam was performed was very unprofessional Dr. Lauzon was clearly rushed & exasperated and it showed in the way she spoke and in the very poor instructions she gave throughout the exam. I was made to feel uncomfortable and flustered and I am not sure just how much faith I put in the prescription that she issued me due to the pace of the entire experience and possibly my inability to keep up with her questions. There was no feedback on the overall health of my eyes, other than how much stronger a prescription I was going to need. Her demeanor and attitude was very unprofessional and I will not be returning, nor will I be recommending your clinic.

Horrible....optometrist is above very rude and dismissive!! I told her over a 2 yr period something was wrong with my left eye, seemed not as sharp....even after strengthening my glasses on the left side, which didnt help....she treated me like it was all in my head and she was clearly informed about my grandmother & dad who both have "aged macular degenertion".....I should have left her services earlier, that was my mistake, I have been diagnosed with "aged macular degeneration", as I thought!! She doesnt make eye contact or even listen to your concerns....I left, went to walmart and had alot more testing than she ever did on me, then was sent to an eye specialist right away, as the walmart optometrist had real concerns about my testing (one visit only)....She wouldnt even consider a specialist for me...I would never never recommend "Campbell River Optometry", needless to say the girls were all very nice, but I have to agree that they push their overpriced glasses and lens.....if you value your eyesight, I would be seeing a different optometrist for sure than her, just saying????

Customer service is the cornerstone of any small business and a big thank-you to CR Optometry for the great service I received today. At mid-day I placed three pairs of prescription glasses on the counter (value = $450), in various states of soil and disrepair. I explained that I had the day off from work, and was assured that I could pick them up before the end of the day. I returned shortly after 5:00, and was presented with all three pairs - clear of stains and marks, repaired to a comparable state of original purchase, and all in their own package - without charge. As a first time customer, I can say quite certainly that you have my gratitude and my future patronage.
