Normally a good store but worst COVID shopping experience I've had. No employee at front of the store monitoring those coming in. Social distancing not maintained in check out line, in aisles or at the cutting tables. I went in, took a quick look and left pretty quickly. Won't be returning until we're back to whatever "normal" is.

A fun store with what seems like everything under the sun. They carry a variety of products but my favourite is the craft section. There’s a great selection of fabric and yarn for the craft people out there. The prices are quite reasonable as well. Sometimes the store seems a little junky but in my opinion it’s worth going for the craft area.

Don't expect to find fabrics that follow the current trends, you won't! For a Liquidation store their quilt cottons are NOT that much cheaper than a regular quilting shop! This place has a fantastic inventory of yarn, fabric, leather, notions. Pretty much everything you needs and all kinds of stuff you didn't know you wanted. I think you would have to take about half a day to go up and down each isle to see everything offered before you put anything in your cart. I found the fabric prices, although I admit, really great quality fabric, higher than I anticipated. I found some nice fabric in the sale isle. It was unpriced so it took a long time for the ladies to find the prices. The staff is very helpful. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER BATHROOM...very surprising. I left before I finished shopping for everything that I needed because I needed to use a bathroom. Len's Mill store has really good sales so sign up for their e flyer.

An ok store for craft supplies and misc home items. I was shocked however that I wasn't allowed to browse the store with my shopping bag of items I bought at a store beside them. The cashier made me "check in" my bag by taking it and handing me a clip with a number on it! I'm 36 years old, and I've shopped at other Lens Mills stores before, and I've never encountered this. I've also worked in retail for 15+ years and I've never heard of this practice before. It's ridiculous that they treat everyone like criminals when we are their customers.

Lens Mill is a great dicount store and while there front end inventory can change quickly they always have a huge amount of crafting items and rows and rows of fabric. Its one of my first stop when doing a craft project.

I also heard them yelling at their staff saying hurtful and borderline abusive things to their employees. It was almost to the point where I was so shocked I almost wanted to call the ministry there. Place is massive and have got lots of items all for your crafty and sewing needs. I do find it gets expensive and the place was very hot as they only had fans in the warehouse. It was even harder to stay there with a mask on. So hopefully they can add more fans for ventilation.

I went to Lin's Mills a few days ago with my mom and I saw one of the male employees being extremely rude to the staff and customers, his name tag said his name is Matt. I have never seen anyone act like a bloody child in a work place before. He came up to my mom and acted extremely rude to her that I almost yelled and punch him in the face. Its a bit messy in some of their back wall and their bins are hard to go through. Though decently organized. Some of the staff there are very disgruntled and should find a new job where they don't have to interact with people. Huge warehouse with all kinds of fabrics and notions. There is a huge section of quilting cottons. A fashion fabric section. A huge trims section. There is SO much upholstery fabric, foam in different sizes and thicknesses. There are sections for silks, and linen. The whole perimeter on the one side is all flannel, fleece, minky and fur fabrics by the roll/bolt. There is an agile for xmas. An agile for lisenced fabric. A whole section for felt by the roll. About 12 aisles of yarn. Sections for jewelry and beading, scrapbooking, painting and drawing supplies, an embroidery section, I including bolts of Aida cloth. There is a section for machine needles, hand sewing needles, all kinds of little notions. Every kind of fabric glue. Hardware to make bags, keychains, etc, and all the quilting tools and rulers you could ever need. A whole rack of threads, another of just zippers. And a section for craft, knitting, crochet, sewing and quilting books, too. And now they have the stock from Designer Fabrics as well.

I went there based on a recommendation from a lady I met fir this as a place to get hard to get yarn. I had no idea they carried such a wide array of items! Terry cloth by the yard for diy towels. Fancy fabric ends, metal findings, dyes and fabric paints, embroidery threads, quilting supplies, assorted textiles. Lots of cool household items too! Storage solutions and fine linens.

They are a huge fabric and notions outlet, but they are not up to date with ordering what they run out of. There are loads of different types of materials from sheer to leathers and everything in between. So exciting to wander through. When I worked in a store like this I spent half my salary on fabric. It's just so much fun if you love to see or do crafts or weave and quilting and much more. You can become an artist at so many things when you come in here and shop to your hearts desire. Just bring a hand fan with you. It's very warm in that factory outlet. Great products to choose from though. Have fun ladies and gentleman.

I have enjoyed shopping here for almost a decade. I was excited to see what the new owners have done given the email they sent out. I am sad to report that the place was less clean than before COVID; the staff were abrupt and could not answer even basic questions. The scariest part for me was at the cash. The person stated she was covering for someone on lunch. When the debit machine was higher than her register and I pointed it out (only a few cents); she tried to convince me that the machine would match once I had paid. Extremely poor service. Please if anyone knows a good place in Ontario for those who love fabric; please post here. I will not ever go back there again.

They have a discounted price fabric section. Check any coupons before paying (their website or sometimes local newspaper). Don't expect too much help from the staff. Quilt materials are plenty. And there are random baskets with remnants at (extremely) discounted prices. Take note, cosplayers!

Wonderful selection of fabric, especially quilting cotton. A little chaotic right now because they are rearranging the store, so it can be a little hard to find some things. The staff is friendly, but they aren't always able to answer questions about whether they carry something. I like that they price fabric by both the yard and the meter. Now that I know about Len's Mill, I will definitely be shopping there during my yearly family visits to North York, which always involve some sewing. Great store!

This is a combination of old and old joining forces. Designer fabric from Queen Street West has merged with Lens Mill Store and many of the staff has merge in together. If you are fortunate enough to get someone from the queen street store to wait on you, the service will be as amazing as on Queen Street. Unfortunately I didn't find the staff from Lens Mill Store to be as courteous. I will miss the queen street location for sure.

Lots of stuff to see. I came for fabric and wasn't disappointed. The aisles were organized by designer. I liked that there were sets of material for quilting( charms, jellyrolls etc.) I enjoyed just browsing the aisles and picked up things for future projects. Len's Mill Store in Woodstock is a great experience, they have nick-nacks, nuts and bolts and everything else that you could ask for under the sun when it comes to 'stuff'. we've gone to the store on numerous occasions for just random house where, cups plates, clothing, shirts, sweaters and coats, polo t-shirts made by American Eagle, a lot of Sports Toronto Maple Leaf t-shirts, socks underwear, boxers, all women's apparel as well, you name it they got it.if you're into crafts, they have a whole complete section full of yarn, string, knitting crochet articles, a whole mess of stuff. they have stuff for people would like to do carpets, weaving, cross stitching, excetera.a person could actually spend about a day in there looking around just checking out all the cool stuff that they have, the prices are really really cheap as well, it's hard to beat them, they are actually lower price than Giant Tiger on many household products, definitely lower than the big Walmart.make sure that you check out Len's Mill Store in Woodstock Ontario, on Norwich Ave, they have a great selection of useful items and the experience is welcoming.

It easy to maneuver around and the store itself is fairly clean. It looses a star because of their advertising. I know it has nothing to do with this location in general but they've had ad's that are slightly offensive on the radio. Nothing recently, and I'm not easily offended but they have had ads that left a bad taste in my mouth based on how they tried to achieve their humour.

Lots of fabric to choose from! Great value too. Update: I went in to buy a fabric for a robe. I found this nice white fleece with music notes print. I took it to the table for cutting. Sadly, the lady ruined my piece of fabric by cutting it slanting not straight. Not only that, she even tried to cut the fabric by tearing it like a piece of paper lols. It seemed like she's a new employee cause the other lady at the other table was telling her that it's gonna be busy too in the next day. And my cutting lady just sighed and seemed not happy. But Girl, u gotta practice cutting those fabrics in a straight line lols.

An insane amount of quilting, sewing, knitting and craft supplies..There is in a small "grocery" section from gravy mixes to utensils (spatuals>cookie cutters) and all kinds of odds and ends. You could spend hours walking aimlessly and constantly find those little things you need or easily and quickly find all the supplies you need for your hobby.

The customer service here is absolutely terrible. If you can actually track someone down to help you, they always act like it's a huge pain to them. One woman actually let out a huge sigh when I asked for help. And forget about inquiring about items that are out of stock. I asked about when they might receive more stock on an item and the guy said he had no idea. I asked him if there was anyone else who might know and he just looked at me and shrugged! I would rather drive an hour out of town or order my stuff online and pay more than deal with the staff here anymore.

If I could give zero stars I would. They have repeatedly overcharged not only myself, but my ill mother and now its even worse than ever. Now under the new owners they have sold us months expired food, scammed us on supposedly "sale" products, as well as by poorly cutting fabric on terrible angles, and raised prices tremendously when most of the products are dollar store items (as in I have found many of the items I used to purchase for my crafts and projects at the dollar store for better pricing) or dollar store quality. Do NOT trust any food, drink or any product with an expiry date here as it will be expired, likely by more than a month. All of the food we got expired in January, it is now the end of June. I and my roommate were both ill due to this and are still recovering from it. My mother has spoken to them repeatedly and they do not care at all. The store is entirely filthy as well, which is yet another health hazard. Just would not recommend going there ever if you can avoid it. Update: I politely let an employee know about the expired goods that are still everywhere, she rudely said that they know, they don't care, they can't do anything (as someone who has worked in a grocery store and other retail as well as fast food, this is untrue they can remove the products from the shelf and other replace them or no longer sell them if they have expired goods as it is a violation of health and safety), that they eat it anyways and so it's fine (even though I told her I became ill and was just making sure others didn't have the same happen). Definitely avoid this particular store.

I like this place has alot of creativity items but I disagree on friendly people/worker. I was trying to get a workers attention repeatedly saying excuse me and this worker notice I was following her she turn her back to me. Never I would have thought she would do such a thing as I see her be so nice to others and talking about her health problems with other coworkers in front of customers. I've gone there a few times already but found it very uncomfortable to even ask for help because when I did get help they look at me as if I don't belong. I get the feeling that they are tired but at least their legs and feet won't tire by just smile just a little. I will continue to and shop there just ask for help to cut fabric right behind another customer so that I don't have to be ignored.

My wife and I always shop at Len's Mill store for our household needs, this place is fantastic! The prices are more than reasonable, you can get more than you planned on getting every time you visit because you don't spend as much as you budgeted for, it's great! They have a very large selection of household products and a lot of odds and ends. Lots of crafting goods for the artsy people out there! I was at the cambridge new location and i found all that i wanted but the fabric cutter i had left to be desired. I purchased about 20 different fabrics of which i wanted a half yard of each. Pretty easy i thought, when i started my project the following week and started cutting to my dismay all of my pieces were cut at 16 inches instead of 18 and they were cut so cruked that i lost another 2 inches off each piece. I figure i paid for 2 plus meters that i didnt get and had to completely rework my project and add more material. Will never go back to this store.

If you prepare yourself that this place isn't very pretty and are ready to search you can find some awesome fabrics. It's sort of a warehouse with mini messes everywhere. The front of the store is a cross between a dollar store and a giant tiger. I skip this section and head for the back with all the fabric, yarn and craft supplies. There are tons of fabrics in every category with a huge selection of quilter's cotton. You can get netting to replace on your gazebo, foam for reupholstering, lace and glittery fabrics for evening wear, fleece for blankets, spandex for swimwear and the list goes on. There is also a large selection of craft supplies and yarn. One thing to know - if it's a crazy hot spell don't go. There is no air conditioning and the staff is (understandably) miserable.

I had the worst experience! At the Woodstock location. One of the fabric cutters was rude to me on my visit today. First she was annoyed that I asked for the price of an unlabelled bolt, after cutting when I simply asked for her not to put the security tag in the Center salvage edge and could she instead put it on one of the corners she got rude saying that what they alway do. I explained that I planned on using the edges for my project. She then angrily ripped out the stapled tag, that she had already put in and stomped off saying she’d have to take it to the front counter. Once at the front counter she could easily be overheard criticizing me for asking. I was so disappointed with this interaction that I stopped shopping, payed for my already cut items and left, cutting my shopping trip shot. I plan to take my business elsewhere and The London location is a much friendlier option. One silver lining is the young fabric cutter who helped me with my first several items was fantastic and he should be promoted.

Please don't be rude to customers!. Today I went into the store and was shh'd by a lady when asking for help as she was doing inventory and I had no idea! Afterwards I went up to the counter to get fabric cut and I noticed one side was extremely dirty so I simply asked to cut around that, the lady seemed disgusted as to why I didn't want it and told me it was a waste and to simply wash it. The youny lady at the cashier desk was the only one who greated me with a smile and was extremely friendly.

Bit disorganized and wish the staff was more knowledgeable on things outside of the regular realm, especially in a specialty store (i.e. the fabric/upholstery section). Overall most things that you would need are there, but I still had to order a few items on Amazon.

Not what is used to be. Besides raising prices quite a bit on older fabric in store, Fabric cutters are rude and often try and sell you the most expensive fabrics because they can't find most of what you're looking for. Every other location but Woodstock are helpful and at least try. Don't complain or they will post new rules at the cutting table.

Didn’t have what my daughter was looking for. We called before hand and asked if they had high end silk material they said we do and we will put it aside just tell me your name and when u get here we will bring it out to the door since it’s lockdown and no one is allowed inside. Well it was freezing cold and we had to wait outside there were a few ppl ahead of us. And it was on a Sunday. We finally got into the glass partition entrance way and looked at the material they set aside nothing was what we asked for. It was rayon and polyester it was nice but not high end silk like mulberry. We bought elastic and left. Because the style of shopping has changed if we were able to look ourselves we would have bought a lot of other things but we can’t keep asking the girl to keep looking for material because u have to wait at the entrance way until they get it for you. Can’t wait for them to open a again ;(

Went to the store, upon checking out they overcharged my mother and then when confronted did not change the price, my bigger concern is the safety standards, roommate bought chocolate and other snacks and it turned out all of them were months expired, do NOT trust the products, check the expiration date, my stomach is now hurting due to the expired candy, cheap prices and now I know why

I luv this store, but your employees represent you, and if they are not up to par, then it reflects. It was near to closing and I understand they are in a hurry to close, but he was rude, obnoxious and just overall not a very happy dude. He sold me 4 metres with a joining stitch in the first half metre, which I am sure he saw. I only saw it at home. On another piece I asked for 3.5 metres which he cut and thereafter when I asked about the price he wrote down, he then proceeded to tell me that I would have got the sale price if I had bought 4 metres. I made him give me the other half metre after telling him that he's not a real happy dude, to which he didn't even reply. It said a lot.

Went for the 1st time at this Lens Mills location as I am from London, And I will definitely continue heading to the Woodstock location, customer service was on point. Their selection in fabrics awesome and very well organized.

Not impressed. Was there 2 years back and I found the deals were better more variety for crafting and also sold odd items. But now it's strictly fabric, yarns and other. It's a lower scale 'Michael's'. They also sell treats by the POS but read the best before dates....a line of candy was from 2015!!! Oh, sells some floral picks as well. It's a crafters place for sure....my craft days are done! If your a crafter check it out but for me it got 2 stars.

This a warehouse. The temperature can be warm on hot days. Lights are good but I did bring a small flashlight in case there were shadows. Staff were busy but friendly. Extensive selection of cottons and sliks. Wow!

I have had 2 particularly bad experiences at this location. I asked for, and paid for, 2 meters of fabric but they gave me 2 inches less than 2 meters. I wasted 45 minutes, gas and money for fabric I cannot use because they stole 2 inches from me. I literally need one more inch and my project could go flawlessly. This is the second time they have charged me for 2 meters of fabric but have cut off les than 2 meters, previously they cut off 4 inches short of 2 meters. Seriously!???? If you plan on purchasing fabric at this location, maybe think about bringing your own method of measuring, because clearly theirs doesnt work.

They have a good selection of craft items but was they did not have what I was looking for. They don't have latch hook or candle making or much of a selection of cross stitch items. Also they do not have the 14 inch or longer knitting or crochet needles, they only carry 12 inch kitting needles and regular crochet needles but they did have both metal and a set of crochet needles with a soft grip on the needles

The Woodstock store is the worse location I have ever been to. I will never go back. The new Manager needs to train her staff and explain to them when people buy 1/2 yard of fabric they expect a straight piece. The young man got very angry when I mentioned the crooked part in the Center of his cut may not be 1/2 yard. I had to ask him to stop talking snooty to me as I was talking nice to him. Then he asked “well do you want her to double check it” in a very angry voice. When I said yes he stomped away. Then the girl checking it would only measure from cut edge to cut edge! I couldn’t convince her either that one edge needs to be lined up straight to ensure the whole piece would be 1/2 yard. She couldn’t understand either. I guess when you buy a sheet or towel it doesn’t need straight edges. It can curve... then I couldn’t get Matt or the coworker to finish my purchases. The girl was busy but Matt was still angry because I second guessed his hack job. I forgot to mention the whole piece showed every cut he made with the scissors too. Not a clean cut at all. Before all this he began by wanting me to take the end without the price tag which had huge creases. I had to tell him foamed back fabric would hold those creases so I wanted the other end. Whoa, that sure showed his temper! Well after standing hoping to get the last of my fabric cut and the piece of fabric that was hacked tagged I decided to go ask the cashier to page Matt to come finish. Well once again I stood at the cutting table with all my pieces of fabric and waited. No she did not page him. So I decided to leave. When the girl saw me coming towards her again she grabbed the mic and paged him. But I walked straight out the door. They could keep all the fabric that was cut. I will never spend a dime there again. And I will share this hateful experience every chance I get! And don’t call the district supervisor John. He didn’t give me a feeling that he cared. He didn’t even ask for my name or number to follow up. He even was chuckling. Then I asked for the owners contact info and he let me know there wasn’t one. No owner!!! Truly!!!! He said if I try and complain it would all be directed back to him. Well I went to Cambridge on Groh. The staff was fantastic! I got my fabric and it was cut perfectly straight!!! I can’t believe the difference in locations! I’m not giving up. I “will” find the owner of these stores... it’s the principle of the matter now. Good luck Lens Mills in Woodstock. I hope you don’t end up like fabricland that was here... people shop online. There are no hateful sales people to deal with... Joann Fabrics delivers to Canada.

Lots of fabrics, knitting and crafting options. I would say that the store's layout is somewhat an organized mess. There's just tons of stuff, so an excellent place to visit if you're looking for fabrics and yarn. There's some crafting options to see but it's not a whole lot compared to other crafting stores.
