Happened 2nd time. Rude and extremely terrible and poor customer service ever. Ignores me for 15 minutes as if I have all the time in the world. Gone for exchanging the items that I got on black Friday ONLINE as the sizes were a little large to me. The cashier in Men's section told me that he cannot exchange the item that I purchase it on the sale price and so I have to pay the FULL price (and he cannot honor the sale price ?)even though the sizes were available. Plus on top of that he did mentioned that I cannot try the sizes to make sure that it is the right size I wanted. Never felt racism in canada but he made sure to make me feel it to my guts! Thank you for this Zara.

Their sizes run kind of small. Im not that particularly big. Clothes are kind of cheaply made as well. I've had a few things fall apart on me. I appreciate having their store in the city however which opens up some style options.
Love the Zara look, you know chic and sophisticated. But I have two things to say. First, the overall company is downgrading their materials just a bit. So I hope its just a season I don’t like. Second, this location is not as good as downtown but definitely one of the best stores in Metrotown overall. The clothes I like a lot, but the staff seem over-worked :(
Store was a gongshow! Clothes everywhere and all over the floor. Didn't look appealing to go through. I waited in line for over 20 minutes to return some items. At least the counter staff were doing the best they could and were friendly/courteous.
This Zara store located inside Metrotown mall is easily the worst branch in the area. The store is small and has a really bad layout making it very crowded, more than it should be. The checkout stands are located in the middle of the store which results in a long line that blocks a large area of the store. The number of fitting rooms are also scarce resulting in a long wait to try anything on. On my most recent visit to this location, the store was a huge mess with clothes thrown everywhere including the floor and there were also no staff working on the floor at all to straighten anything or to provide any assistance to customers. You would be better off skipping this location and visiting either the Richmond or Downtown store instead...

I hate to love you Zara. Your clothes are fricken cute, but service is AWWWFUUULLLL. Your clothes were a mess. I was trying to grab staff attention to ask where changing rooms were and it was so difficult. When she finally answered she seemed annoyed… reminds me of my preteen daughter’s attitude. I would’ve spent way more $$ if the experience was better, but I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. This isn’t the first time either, I’ve never met a nice staff member at Zara. Come on Zara, you got this… please improve the experience! I want to give you my $$!

What a mess! This place is disgusting! I visited Zara at Metrotown location tonight at 6 pm (January 27,2018). Clothes were everywhere on the floor, and shelves were extremely overstocked. This branch is damaging brand's reputation. It took me less than a minute to make my decision to leave the store. Where is the management?
The cashier made a mistake of telling us that the remaining balance of our gift receipt was $22 that she put on a gift card, instead of the correct amount of 11 cents. Spent more time at the store to spend the remaining $22 we thought we had since we wouldn't be back for a long time. Upon checking out we found out that the gift card was 11 cents. Talked to a cashier and manager, the cashier who told us we had $22 was nowhere to be found, and the manager wont own up to their mistake of telling us we had $22 instead of the correct amount. It was a minor inconvenience for us, but our time was wasted and could have just made it all better if they owned up to their error and a simple apology. Instead, we were looked at and treated like we were speaking a different language. Zero understanding. Do better, Zara metrotown staff.
Typical fast fashion stuff, however, this store is the messiest I've ever seen in my life. I've been there over 50 times and every time it's the same. You literally have to dig to find sizes or options.

Used to be rich with many varieties. This time was a bit bland. Staff were kind of lost busy doing things other than helping their customers. There were 3 people on the line and took them about 10-15 min to finish 1 person on the till. They finally realized we better get another cashier because this person is doing a return. Will still visit but not with great expectations to he honest.

Good inventory but very bad customer service, staff on the floor were helpful but the cashier is very rude, she doesn't know how to do on the computer and asked the other beside, the other one says you have to cancel and do it again. Absolutely rude people specially who I met there was Sam (training manager). Firstly, I went there to return some stuff that I just purchased a day before, but he was really rude to me. Secondly, he rejected my stuff and did not help me. Thirdly, when I asked him I wanna talk to manager he said I am the manager which I realized after I left he was manager training and he lied to me. I am very disappointed with this branch and I never go there. I went to downtown branch with the same situation and they helped me with no problem! Rude customer services, specially Asian people! Purchased a suit from here in january and the button fell off upon wearing it once. The threading was already loose prior to me purchasing it and I didn't realize it. I went back immediately to request a refund or return and the store manager declined it, saying I had already wore it. Yes I wore it but the BUTTON CAME OUT! I tried escalating this to a second store manager but it didn't help. End result...I had a jacket that fits alright but had to get a button placed for 75$. Horrendous service, won't be coming back here again

I love shopping at Zara and never in my life have I exchanged anything!! I bought these jeans not even a week Ago and realised that they were a bit tight so i went back to the store just a few days after the purchase with the receipt to exchange them for a bigger size.. i did not have the tag on the jeans because i was never told it was required to exchange an item (again i have never returned or exchanged anything).. the rep called the manager and she accused me of wearing the jeans.. what kind of customer service is this??!! Who even promoted her to be a manager? Accusing customers returning or exchanging the item bc of size of having wearing it!! And i just tried that jeans on at home once! And then she goes around saying its not even the same product that you’re exchanging it for.. ps it was a slightly different shade of the jeans i wanted and couldnt get my size in the same product but woww customer service!! Literally accusing your customers of lying.. i hope zara hires people or managers with some knowledge of customer service! And not some Karens arguing with customers for a simple exchange!

My experience based on shopping in the men's section. As far as Zara goes, this is a large store with the ladies' side easily taking up 75% of the retail space. I've stopped shopping at Zara for a while now, but occasionally browse this location. The merchandise is by and large standard with some stylish pieces scattered about. I'm disappointed this location doesn't carry Zara Studio, which is about the only pieces worth considering. 95% of Zara merchandise is manufactured garbage, and much like other fast fashion brands, they love ripping off designer brands and stealing artists' work. I don't know nor understand why reviewers are expecting customer service from Zara, or fast fashion brands in general. If one thinks about the retail environment of this location, it's a mess all the time (and astronomically worse during sale season). This mess is all customer-created, who not only try on items on the floor, but then tosses it over the rack or on the table and move on. When going to the fitting room, they bring way too many items, and leave it all in the fitting room. Customer etiquette is thrown out the window, and yet customer service is expected. Confounding. It's not one, it's all. Don't take it personal.

Avoid this store and shop online people . The staffs here think they work in high end luxury brands store or something that they believe they are so above us so they do not need to provide any good customer service. All of their staffs from the fitting room and cashiers are so bitchy that make me give up going in and just do my shopping online instead. The head quarter needs to come visit and retrain their staffs. No smile or a basic "thankyou" after you bought their clothes. Old Navy has much better customer service than this so called "high end" copycat brand.

Had an interview with Zara on Tuesday, I was told to show up a half hour early to fill out an application form. I got there at 2 as my interview was at 2:30, I told the staff member working at the time that I had an interview at 2:30. The manager was standing there as well so she heard me say I had an interview, they both ignored me. I waited 45 minutes for someone to come get me for this interview and no one did. So after wasting my day off for this I walked out of the store, didn't even recieve a phone call for an apology or anything. My suggestion, don't ever apply for Zara in the shopping center because they clearly do not care for their employees or at the very least, future ones.

I don’t know why the sales people don’t want to sell. I had 12 items and went to the change rooms (no one there at 11am Monday). The young girl told me she is going to open my shirt up. I said sure. 3 minutes later she asks me how many items I have, it’s clear that I have 10+ items. I said “12?” She asks me to count them. So I did one by one, then she says “sorry you can only take six items in”. Omg. So I picked 6 items and left the rest out at the counter. I tried 6 chose 4 and put 2 at the counter. I wanted to leave the 4 I chose at the counter and try out the 6 remaining items but she told me I couldn’t. So I asked what can do? She said “just take it with you to the changing room” Omg. Then I put my items on the cashier table like I usually do when I Goto Zara, and then walk around to do more shopping (no shopping carts). She gave me a look as if I’m disturbing her and asks if I am buying these items which I told her I am but wanted to get more things. I asked is she could fold them up and get them ready. 10 minutes later and a few items later I get back to the counter and the big pile is still there. I love Zara but never going to this place again.
Worst shopping experience ever! My package was shipped out on Dec 27th, and I picked it up from Purolator facility on January 2nd. Returned the package to Zara main office via Canada Post and they received it on January 30th. However, package got returned to me a week after. I was advised it has passed 30 days, there's no way to return it. My QUESTION is shipping time was also included in the 30 days - this is ridiculous. Also asking Zara if I can get store credit because I shop at Zara a lot, but the answer is NO. All is all, no shopping at Zara ever AGAIN!!!!

I would have loved to give the store 5 stars cause of the amazing clothing styles and great selections. The prices are a little high but the clothes are good. What really pissed me off was the customer service at that location. I asked one of the women working there if they had another size for a leather jacket I was holding, and she rudely interupted me saying that it was the last piece and that they are closing soon unless I buy something.

The clothes are trendy and nice enough, but I found the staff very cold and unwelcoming. There was also a pretty big mix-up with a coat that I had put aside that the staff member was very dismissive and unhelpful about. Please train your employees on basic customer service.

I bought a denim jeans from here in January on sale which cost me only 20$. This is really affordable. The fabric is nice and have good texture even after multiple wash. Zara doesn't have the variety as some other stores but at this price you can't ask for me. Go when there is a sale and you could get good deals on clothes and shoes.

My wife bought me a jacket online for Christmas, but we were out of town for the holidays. I needed to exchange it, but was told to eff off because I was 5 days over the 30 day return period. What difference does 5 days make? Very anti-consumer and we'll never shop at Zara again.

Great selection of varying clothing items at reasonable prices from a name brand. The staff is friendly, and helpful, the store is well lit and the clothing seems to be holding up well, even through a 19th birthday downtown and many washes. I also purchased cologne that was very nicely priced at a whopping $15 on sale, and my girlfriend and absolutely love it. Attached is a small white tee in photo.

I laughed so hard when i went to review the Zara Richmond when i read it was permantley closed. This review only reinforces why!!!I was recently in the store to return and item i received online as a gift. I clearly asked the item be returned to a gift card and repeated myself twice. The cashier processed my order and then looked puzzled and asked me to wait while she found her manager. The manager and anther sales associate came over . The manager indicated that the item had been returned to the original card holder and they would try to correct their error. I stated that my son who is 20 months was getting fussy as i had already been in the store for 20 minutes that i would walk around to soothe him and come back later. When i returned 20 min later, the sales associate stated that the item had been returned to the original cardholder who paid for the gift and that i should contact them to resolve the matter. I asked to speak to the manager and she was not empathetic to what happened and didn't even offer an apoology I explained how would you feel if you returned something and then had to call the person an tell them you returned the item and now the money and been returned to your card....wouldn;t that be awkward???. I was amazed that 3 staff including a manager couldn't understand how to simply to return an online item for a gift card. I called online and they took down the details and indicated a customer service agent would contact me in 2 business days and they did but couldn't resolve my issue because the money had already been returned to the card holder. I have 2 kids jackets from here and both times the zipper has gotten stuck and broken off. The count that it costs to fix the zipper isn't worth it. Its easier just to buy a new jacket. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ZARA AGAIN!!!! I went to GAP kids and purchased a jacket there and the zipper is perfect.

This place has the most incompetent staff on the planet. Called ahead to hold a shirt for a wedding gave the reference number, asked for a medium. Get there, its large, no mediums. Get home and I'm told its the totally wrong shirt by the groom. USELESS. Never ever ever again.

Workers aren't kind always. I understand this store is very popular and always busy but they are never being nice!
My children went to zara metrotown this afternoon not just to window shop but to purchase clothes and shoes. There is this one lady who was very rude, feels like she wanted to embarass my children. Instead of assisting them, she even wanted to let my girls explain, why and where they got the clothes they are fitting, even the pants that my son is fitting. Customer service was really bad! When my daughter was returning the other pants that my son tried, she even asked, where they got and and even asked.. where the hanger is????whoever she is, thats your job…attached is just one of the receipts they purchased. I think the management should check and retrain their people in the store… because they cannot work under pressure. If not the customers, probably this lady does not have a job now. I should not put a star, but i just need to, so i can post my review/comments.
I like a lot of the styles, but they often over price things and staff are usually not very helpful. Go when there's a big sale on and you have a lot of patience.
I ordered online and had to make a return. Rude staff, I'm not sure a single person spoke to me through the entire process. The checkout lane had no rhyme or reason and the clothing was scattered and disorganized.
It's the most amazing brand if you are looking to upgrade your wardrobe. With styles that suit everyone's need it's the best store anyone happens to be at. Be it a girl, a boy it's best place to buy a Christmas gift. The price range for all the items are so perfectly established that it just makes you feel Gaga all over it. My mom was told to fold up after her trying of clothes, I know this isn't high end brand but is that what you call that customer service ? first ever i heard this stuff, i mean telling customer to clean up ? Is it too expensive for Zara, largest apparel retailer, to afford another close to minimum wage worker to fold clothes ?
Meg.. If they have what you want they're ok. Not a very broad sélection of items. Didn't have anything that I'd buy but yet had the perfect suit coat for my tall sender Asian friend.

The staff told me to hang my own stuff back with a rolling eye. The self check out doesn’t work with no signs on it. This store is pretty big and it’s probably the reason why the staff is rude.

The employees here are incompetent which leads me to believe that Zara doesn’t pay their staff very well because they can’t seem to get competent employees. This store and its employees are a waste of space. All the clothes are cheaply made, and it shows in their overall longevity and quality. Almost every piece of clothing I looked at in the store either has makeup stains from people trying it on, or red and green marks which you can clearly see are from the factory where the patterns for the clothes are designed. If you're looking for relatively cheap clothes then this is the place I guess (If you can find something that is actually clean to buy). However, the employees have very poor customer service skills, as they either ignore you while you shop, refuse to help you, or make you feel dumb for asking for assistance. No wonder this store is always empty.

I was recently in the U.S. on a family vacation, and purchased a pair of Pants from Zara. The weather in Arizona in August is often over 30 degrees celcius, so I had no need to wear them, however as I had bought pants from Zara on many occasions, I wasn’t too concerned about wearing them until I got back home to Vancouver, Canada. When I returned home, I went to put on my new pants, and they fully ripped at the seam. They weren’t the wrong size, I had simply gone to put them on and they fully ripped. Obviously I was shocked, and somewhat disappointed, as I had spent US $55 (approximately CAD$67) on these pants, and have come to expect a certain level of quality from Zara. However, as I had not worn them, and they were well within the valid return date, I thought I could simply return them and get refunded. What I expected to be a simple return quickly escalated. I went into the Zara close to my house, where I have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars over the past few years. They informed me that since I had purchased the Pants in the U.S. I couldn’t return them in Canada, but I could call customer support to see if there was anything that could be done. Frustrated, but somewhat understanding, I called customer support. I was kept on the phone for a very long time, being transferred from person to person, and eventually I spoke to a woman who told me they would take my case into account, gave me a number to confirm my case, and told me I would have to wait up to 3 days to hear back on my request. 5 days later, I finally received an email with a confirmation of my case, I call Zara, once again wait on the phone for a fair bit, and am told that there is nothing that they can do, and if I want to return the pants, I would have to do so in the U.S. Obviously, telling me to do so is a ridiculous solution. Me driving down/ taking a bus to the U.S (the closest store being probably in Seattle) would take up time, as well as cost well over the amount that the jeans were initially worth. I bought a product, the product was poorly made, and instead of accepting the fault and dealing with it professionally and responsibly, Zara managed to avoid dealing with any responsibility that they owed to their customer. I have spoken to friends and found out I am not the only one who has had problems with customer service, as well as the quality of Zara clothing in the past. You would expect a transnational brand like Zara, with worldwide recognition, that fully takes advantage of being able to sell on, and profit off of international markets, to be better equipped to deal with returns in different countries. The brand is in fact Spanish, but nobody is expected to fly to Spain when they need to return an item of clothing. If they can sell clothes throughout the world, they should be better equipped to handle situations like these, which have no doubt happened to many others as well. Zara is a multibillion, transnational corporation. What it would cost them to replace the damaged product I purchased from them would not even make a dent in the profits the company makes. The CEO himself is worth US$ 85 billion, I don’t see how the return of a product which I spent US$55 on would be harmful to a man and company who I have come to find out not only relies upon the exploitation of sweatshop workers, but is known to steal designs from Artists, and profit off these designs without paying said Artists. I have been very disappointed with my recent experience, not just due to the lack of quality in the product I have purchased, as well as my personal experience with their poor customer service, but because it has shed light on Zara which has shown me it is nothing more than a greedy company, that doesn't respect their product, employees, or customers. It is a greedy, profit driven company that lacks morals and values. I will be terminating my long-standing, once good relationship with Zara and encourage my friends and family, as well as anyone else who reads this, to do the same.
Terrible experience..... had to go three times out of my way (after work wasting time when I could be home) to EXCHANGE a belt. The customer service was sooo bad they don’t have anyone attending a single person. The manager (Asian Woman) does not know how to serve a customer, she just refused the exchange even though all receipts were there, the tags and all, also the product was never used, full price and writhin 30 days of purchase. I called ahead after the second time trying to exchange to ensure it would work this time. The employee talked to a manager and confirmed the exchange was possible given the circumstances. I go in and they waste more of my time and now wasted the money paid for a belt that doesn’t fit. Hands down worst experience in any store I’ve been in. Def a company like blue notes, they will go down.

I love the brand Zara but I have to say when I was there a month ago the manager was so rude. I bought my daughter a sweater from the store which ended up being too small. Brought it back to the store two days later with the tags still attached asking if I could exchange it for the next size up. They asked for my reciept which I didn’t have with me. I didn’t realize I put it in my baby bag which was at home(I don’t live in Halifax). I understand completely that stores have these policies in place for a reason. Although it annoyed me because I wasn’t asking for my money back or a completely different item, just the same item in a bigger size, I still understood the policy. What I didn’t understand was why she was so rude to me about it. I left the store confused and frustrated because I don’t know why she felt it was necessary to talk to me that way. I went all the way home, got the receipt, went back to the store and just returned the sweater rather than exchanging. I had chalked this up to her possibly having a bad day until I came across the other reviews here... Although I love the brand, my rating is based on the management at this particular location. The quality of their clothing in my experience has been very good. Myself and both of my daughters have quite a few items. The kids clothes are my absolute favourite. They’re so cute and trendy. The quality of the girls leggings are great. My oldest daughter is super tall and slim. The sizing is perfect for her. I can up a size and get the right length without them falling down on her. They’re also nice and thick so she’s not getting holes in them.
They didn't accept to return pants I got 2 days before just because it was washed. I never wore them and the tag was still there. The manager asked me if I usually wash my clothes before wearing them. Yes of course I do when there are hundreds of people trying the piece before the client buys it. The pants are not damaged, they're just washed, they're cleaner than the clothes displayed at the store!
This Zara is always very busy! Its organized as well as it can be however things get mixed up and messy cause its busy. Theres always a line up for the dressing room if you go during peak hours. Nice good quality clothing at an affordable price points though. If you can go early in the day it's a nice shopping experience.

Not a bad selection, but everything in the men's section is designed for people with a very slight frame. I wouldn't consider myself a giant by any means, but nothing came in a size that fit my shoulders and arms into it. Even the XL was too tight. I did buy some nice shoes so it wasn't all bad.
Hands down the WORST customer service in the Halifax Shopping center. Asked politely for the woman to help in dressing room and she rudely interrupted me, I than asked if I was able to change the size of my items and she said " go ahead " implying for me to go out and change my own sizes while I was half dressed.

December 28 @5pm A young lady staff (straight long black hair) came and said “YOU CAN NOT TRY ON CLOTHES” WITH NO REASON. I was dazed for a moment at the sudden notice because the staff didn’t attach any reasons but just annoyed me (even other people were trying on items around there…) Asked her if there were any signs about it in the store since I was slightly upset of the rudeness. But she frowned and kindly answered “FOR WHAT? ARE YOU WONDERING WHAT?” No shopping person doesn’t know you guys’ changed policies. Telling us is your job. Customers are not your friends. Be nice and say “Sorry, you can’t try on clothes on the floor because of Covid-19”.

I went to the store today for buying perfume, and there wasnt the new piece of that perfume, so i asked for help from 3 customer representatives that work there, all of them asked me to wait saying they will be coming in minute, but no one showed up. I kept waiting there for 20 minutes. Even the girl working at fitting room was really unfriendly and unprofessional. It was really very bad experience visiting there, zara is one of the named brand, it should really take care of people that they choose to work there. Will surely not visit it again.
The extended boxing day was crazy with so many people and the entire store was a mess.

Went to Zara in the Halifax shopping center today and when we were finished shopping for kids clothes, we went to the check out counter and we're told to go to menswear to pay for our stuff. We got to menswear and an associate told us to go downstairs to womens wear to pay. We go down to women's wear and there's a crowd of 7 other people lined up to pay and only one cashier open. That's terrible service

The price on the tag says different price and when you go to cash counter, its completely different price. I asked the on duty manager to explain me about this situation and his words were "I don't have to explain it to you".

I was shopping with my young baby who was hungry and needed to nurse. The bathroom with a nursing station downstairs in Metrotown was full and I happened to be purchasing items from zara anyway so I asked if I could nurse my baby in one of the many change rooms. The staff member said no so I asked to speak with the manager. The manager was so rude about the situation and acted like she was breaking the rules and doing me a huge favour by letting me and told me not to again. Apparently they need to familiarize themselves with Canadian laws. It's my right to nurse my baby anywhere I please and if I had wanted to I legally could have just done so in the middle of the store, I along with my easily distracted baby just wanted privacy. Get with the times zara before you have a troop of 50 topless nursing mothers marching through your store and show mothers and hungry babies some respect.
I love the clothes at Zara, but my shopping experience is almost always ruined by the Metrotown staff. I've never had friendly contact in this store. Typically when you work retail, you're taught to be friendly and welcoming, but that is something I've never experienced in this location. Not one smile, not one hello. I understand that it can get very busy, but there are some things their staff has really got to work on. Acknowledge your customers. You can also distinguish the employees who are higher up in position since they get to wear different outfits, but I've come across a manager I assume... That doesn't even bother to say excuse me when they're walking past people. I've stood somewhere completely pushed over as they had to go into the backroom and laugh with their coworkers. And it's happened several times with many of their employees. I find that a lot of them don't have manners and a lot of them just don't have common courtesy when it comes to other people. Either way I am still going to shop at Zara, but their staff really has to step up their game because it is quite annoying living in a world where people can't even be polite.

Bought a shirt and didn't try in store as I knew it would fit. Got home, took the tag off and put it on to wear that night, however there was an oil like stain on the front I didn't notice. I tried to bring it back and explained my situation. The manager wouldn't refund me but only offered a store credit. This wasn't the most ideal situation as I bought a damaged product and they wouldn't even make things right. They gave me customer service number, and I asked what the manager's name was but she actually didn't want to tell me! I finally got the name and called customer service. I tried 5 times and each time I was disconnected before anyone even answered. Bottom line - check out your clothes very well before taking that tag off because they don't care if they sell you damaged products.
Employees at this location must get treated pretty poorly. I consistently get poor service, and I'm even amazed if employees here manage to crack a smile. I rather get packages sent to my home and risk not being able to pick it up, than get it sent here since it once took 15 minutes for them to find my package and give it to me. I stood at the register in front of TWO employees, and both didn't bother to help me until 2 minutes later. One had a poor attitude gesturing to the other cashier would be helping me, and the other cashier was busy attending to something else. Once she finished my transaction, she didn't bother to say thank you. Her tone of voice and attitude was disgusting. If you don't want to be around people, don't be in customer service.

Good sales on name brand clothes for everyone. The inventory inside the store is messy though and needs to have sales associates clean up and organize the clothes etc. I've always walked into the store and never walked out disappointed without a purchase in hand.
The store is new and big, but messy. Really messy. I don't know what happen to Metrotown stores, why they're so messy. And I would love to know why fitting rooms are not open. Please don't tell us is due to covid, omicron, etc because it makes no sense. Due to this, return lines are huge!! So I suggest you buyer to go to Zara Richmond Centre (the best Zara in BC). Avoid Metrotown at all costs. Crowded stores, long return items lines and closed fitting rooms.

I love Zara clothes but customer service is real bad especially at the cashier. They just ignore you. ON the the other hand love the online in store pick up. It is is amazing. It is all automated. Don't need to deal with humans and they also have self check out. Automated service really works here. Rather that then dealing with rude cashiers. How hard is it to just pay attention to the person you are helping. Unbelievable. Also I found , to my shock horror, the security tag was not all removed. I also stabbed myself with it when unpacking my garment. LOOK AT PICS.

Fair pricing
I have a Zara jacket which looks quite dressy and the slim, athletic fit is excellent. In general, the fit of Zara clothes for men is usually cut slim and fits quite well, not like a lot of baggy-ish, ill fitting clothing out there. They are not cheap, but generally their sale prices are good.

Worst experience/customer service! The manager didn't even speak proper English and wasn't able to give any compensation for their fault. The security tag was still intact on my tie and when I got home to try it on,I couldn't. I had to take time off my busy schedule to go and get the tag removed. The manager didn't know how to resolve the issue and couldn't even apologize! Put some qualified people to work their who know what customer service is about!

Honestly, love zara! but i was at the downtown location and the girl put an item on hold for me at metrotown and i went there a couple hours later and they had no idea and said they were sold out. Wasted my time for nothing because this store can't keep themselves organized.
Variety in styles
I went into Zara today with my sister, and, sadly, had a terrible experiance. I walked into a change room to try on a really cute pair of pants, and found them to be quite snug. I poked my head out of the changeroom to make eye contact with a very blonde girl in a cute jean jacket. I politely said, "Excuse me..?" to get the girls attention to my surprise, she instantly looked away from me and walked right past into a hidden area. I waited to see if the person who originally walked me in would turn around but she didn't. Again, the same blonde girl came out of the hidden area from the side of the changeroom and I called out to her much louder (even though I could tell her head piece was out) I tried to believe the best that maybe she didnt hear me the first time It was to my AMAZEMENT that she still proceeded to walk right past me, and ignore me completely. My thought is (being in retail myself) that she should really be aware of her surroundings. Even if she was occupied I felt she could at least call someone over to assist me. I would have waited no problem. I then wondered.. is it because the girl doesnt think I am pretty? or worth while? How sad of a thought to reflect back on. Meanwhile, my sister was having a terrible experiance with the asian girl who originally walked me to the changeroom. She had no idea she wasnt allowed to come check on me and the girl gave her a cold : youre not allowed back there! My sister could not believe the girl could not just tell her kindly. She walked away. I then exited the changeroom and I confronted the same asian girl at the front. I told her about the blonde girl who proceeded to ignore me. Her response was "Its okay". Its okay??? Really? So unimpressed. I decided to buy the pants , and the dress coat i had with me as well. I love the selection at your store, but I still didnt think getting treated that way was in any way okay. I went to purchase the items at the till, and there was a really sweet brown girl who apologized for everything. She asked who it was that ignored me, and proceeded to tell me it was her MANAGER!! ???? I was shocked. Anyways, It was overall a very disappointing experiance. My sister came over to me while I was paying and she then filled us in on her bad experiance as well The Zara location I am referring to is the Metrotown Mall in burnaby.

Personally I think A-zero star review should be possible for this place. The service I received this afternoon was horrible. I asked to speak to a manager because they would not return my item that had a gift receipt along with the tags and never worn or anything. But what did I get after requesting one? "the manager was too busy with an interview ". but I saw her behind the desk whispering to the cashier. The cashier then took my receipt and said "there was nothing we can do for you here, not even an exchange " Seriously? I suggest you people Have second thoughts about this place before u do some shopping here. Especially that Christmas is around the corner. You wouldn't want your family and friends not being able to return a damn item if it doesn't fit or if they don't like it or just want something different.

Came in to return some clothes and get my right size. This asian chick wearing a white t-shirt with caked on makeup face at the mens cashier with acne gave me the death stare. She told me to I can't return my clothes and she has to keep them for 24 hours. She kept rolling her eyes and talking to me in a rude manner. THERE IS A REASON YOUR SO UNHAPPY YOU WORK MINIUM WAGE , GET A REAL JOB AND SOME PEOPLE SKILLS.

I have been here quite a few times and I love Zara clothing. The other day I went there and was looking for a Jacket and the price tags said 129 and when I went to the counter the guy who was helping me said it’s 229 including taxes I was taken aback ???? and the guy said it’s in Euros. I was like “ why would you have a tag in Euro when we are in Canada and the rest of the store has the tag in dollars” the guys answers with an attitude “I don’t know, if you don’t want , you don’t have to buy it” I was really shocked surprised and fell upset, I was like I can’t believe I am hearing this right, he called another lady I am not sure if her name is correct I think is Stephanie who came , she didn’t apologize or anything t just took the jackets and took to another room to fix, said it’s in euros so there is nothing they could do about it, with these rude behaviour from the employees I insisted to see a manager, the manager Sam came and he was nice gentlemen he said he will talk to the employees and check on their side of story, I was like “ just wanted to let you know that I don’t need a discount or money, I just wanted to treated right and nothing else” don’t think I am creating this drama or anything. I am paying money for this jacket and I am your customer so I deserve to be respected as a customer and human being. Because of this reason I would never go back there again, I have spent atleast $500 every year in this store for the last 3 years but no more! I know it’s not a lot of money for them but I can’t handle this kinda behaviour anymore. Good luck with your other customers
Probably because it’s too crowded that the clothings and everything seem a bit messy, but it doesn’t affect a lot of the shopping experience. Made it through to the cashier without any help from the staffs cuz they don’t seem friendly and ready to assist. The lady at the cashier was nice so the stars are for her!

I love Zara stuff, but the customer service at this Metropolis branch is terrible. I was trying to pay for a jacket. The sale associate got distracted by her senior who was teaching her how to fill out some form while she is doing my transaction. I finally said please concentrate on one job, they can chat later. There was no apology, they kept on talking!! My sister said the same to them. They also ignored it. I can't believe what happened. If they had matters to sort out, deal with it some other time or step aside and deal with it first. There are 2 other associates that can help me. If she dealt with my transaction, then at least respect me as a customer. They acted as if I was not there. That was so rude! Even a normal person will not do that, let alone sale associates representing a company. Besides, how much can one learn when one is doing 2 things at the same. That is not effective teaching/learning anyways. Zara needs to train their staff, especially seniors, on basic courtesy and store management.

I wish i could give this company a zero as a review. the rudest and unprofessional service I've ever experienced. the manager made me feel stupid for trying to return a pair of pants that had a tear in them on the belt loop. (which i did not make since the tags where still on the pants) She said that they inspect every piece of clothing before they put it on the floor and it was impossible that i purchased the pants with a rip in them. I did not get my money back or was a granted an exchange for the same pair. The manager and her co-worker were also smelling the pants to make sure i didn't wear them which i felt was very uncomfortable and unnecessary considering they still had the tags on them. I will never shop here again - great job manager of Halifax Zara, this was 100% on you.

Manager 21976 walked away from me when I was trying to make an exchange. He didn’t listen to my concerns or help me understand what was happening. I would avoid this store if you don’t want the same horrendous customer experience

I was browsing and walked past some clothing racks when one of the rack tipped over and hit me, even crushed my Starbucks cup causing it to spill all over the floor. I was not even close to the rack so I'm guessing it was too heavy. My hand was cut and bruised. A young staff came over to pick up the clothes and apologized. Then another staff came out from the back looking very annoyed. I told her she should check why the rack fell-- someone could've got really hurt. She just mumbled something, didn't even look at me, and walked away. I get that she's annoyed because she has to clean up a mess she didn't cause; but a customer got hurt in her store and she should've dealt with it better.
Great store to shop! Friendly and helpfull staff. The store has an amazing selection of clothes, shoes and acessories. The best clothing store in Halifax IMO. Definitely recommend it.
I would rate 0 but I can’t penalize the customer service reps that actually were nice. We came to buy an outfit for a family members funeral. Entered the men’s section and it was quite busy, smelled like a men’s locker room (not sure if it was bad ventilation or just the customers). No one came to ask if we needed help. All reps were busy folding clothes, running pieces back to the racks. One of the girls (of Filipino background) were aggressively putting the clothes back hitting us with it as she placed them on the rack. We walked away and she dissapeared, leaving the rest of the unfolded clothes on top of the table. In the fitting room were two girls. Both busy chatting with each other and putting away clothes. My husband walked in, tried on some clothes and decided he needed a bigger size. I walked up to one of them interrupting their chit-chat. Seemingly bothered by me asking her, not even making eye contact, replied with a “sorry we don’t have that size” and went back to folding her clothes, chatting with her colleague. The same Filipino girl from earlier was standing very close between us throwing hangers inside the box aggressively. Then, we had asked for a different size in pants. The girl was passing the inventory scanner to that same Filipino colleague but she refused to help. So she went about getting the right size. 15 mins later - I stood there watching them all chat with each other. No pants in sight. Walked up to the girl and asked if they found the size. Looking confused, she asked her Filipino colleague and had raised her voice to say “I left it with you!”. Both not even making eye contact with me. She pulled it out of the rack and said, “sorry.” This is like other Zara’s I have been to. I probably wouldn’t shop in store unless I really needed to try something on. Worst service and definitely filled with younger gens who just want to get paid and go home. The “don’t talk to me I’m busy talking to my friends at work” type. (I only specified the ethnic to point out who was working at the time. No names were given, introduced as like I said - these girls didn’t want to give customers their time of day.) Cashiers were the only friendly ones making conversation. Management really needs to work on this. Every single store I went in at Metro had WAY better customer service than Zara. This is just bad for the brand.

If you're a size large mens in other stores around this mall, consider your size extra large or double X large in this store. It wasnt like this before, I used to shop and buy here years ago but now they must have changed their tailors or design measurements as the mens clothing is not impressive or desirable. You could get these clothes at LeChataue if you wanted and that's no better. Theres better menswear stores in this mall.
The people at Metrotown Zara were super helpful and pleasant. I was looking for a shirt and their help enabled me to make a decision quickly. Plus there is a 30 days return policy if the shirt I bought does not live up to.my satisfaction. I love the cut and stitch of the shirt - it appears to be a good quality product made in bulk at a reasonable price I will definitely go back to Zara at Metrotown as my first stop for my next purchase.

I’ve been shopping at Zara since it opened in Halifax and have noticed recently that the customer service is lacking .. One of the employees literally threw her cellphone aggressively on the counter during my transaction yesterday. I was also trying to pay for a baby item upstairs and the registers were closed but multiple employees were folding and none of them said anything to me until I asked and even then, tbey sounded inconvenienced. Every employee I encountered was unpleasant ... Overhaul needed.
I went today morning near about 10:30 . One lady working in a fitting room area and after I tried i said where i need to put the clothes and she was very rude and said its come with hanger and put back over there.she has zero sense how to talk with somebody and zero customer service.
I was at the store in metrotown Vancouver i experienced the worst customer service ever. They had a top which i really like and the price said $19.99 when I asked for a size the agent told me that I will have to pay $40.00. When i aked for manager the manager came with an attitude as if I asked for something for free.. when I asked for her name to put review she bluntly said no.
Too busy on the weekends & holidays
Sales associate couldn't find my size when i asked in the dressing room, when i went to look after it was right where the rest of them were.... proceeded to wait in line for 20 minutes where they had 1 register open.
I went to this store first time after opening and i was looking for a product which was only one in stock. I asked few associates but noone helped me and then i ask cashier name Daman. She helped me to find that one and she was very polite and helpful. Thank you so much for your help.

Had to go to Zara today to pick up a package. I managed to figure out where to pick up the package and the girls that were standing around the kids cashier were super unfriendly looking. Some girl was asked to grab my package and when she brought it to me, asked if I wanted a bag. I advised her that I wanted to try on my shoes before leaving the store to make sure it fit and asked for scissors to open the box - she responded by saying "we don't have scissors" - then I'm like - "not even a knife?" and she said "no". My face clearly looked displeased as she unhappily went to look for scissors for me. You're seriously going to tell me that you are a clothing store that has no scissors or knives? I echo some of the other reviews about customer service. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the girl at the regular women's till happily did a refund for my shoes (that luckily I tried on since it was too big). She even asked if I wanted to order another size and quickly did all of that for me with a smile on her face as well as ensured I clicked the right option for delivery to the store. In the future - definitely going to order the items to my home. I guess customer service isn't a big deal to this place.

Poor policy
Last fall I bought a coat and within a month of wearing it the right pocket got a hole in it. Took it back and they sewed it up. Now I never put anything in the pockets on the sides of the coat and then last week in the same pocket another hole is there in the same pocket and now another hole in the right side pocket with a zipper. (there are two pockets on each side of the coat. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am and now I do not even feel like wearing the coat. I cannot take it back as too much time has elapsed. Is this the kind of service that ZARA gives to us. I do not think I will purchase anything more from this store. i did not want to give them even one star but i could not post without doing so.
I bought my suit here. The salesperson is super friendly and knowledgeable. You can't miss him. He is a Latino. Shipping is so pleasant there as the music was his choice. Of course Latin music. Makes you want to stay there and buy more.
Just went in to ask for a very simple item. (Women’s Black double breasted blazer) I asked the girl in the fitting room if she knew if they were in stock she then asked me to go find someone else because she is working in the fitting room. Then I asked one of the associates on the floor and she said she didn’t know and walked away. Poor customer service and knowledge of staff.

I visited zara about a month ago. This is always my favorite brand. Very elegant clothes and affordable prices. The staff also made me very happy. I would like to thank the - Latin - woman Beautiful with long brown hair. for helping me choose elegant clothes.Really choosing an employee is a very important thing. My sincere greetings.

Unique clothing
I will never shop at this store again. I purchased 2 tops for my daughter for Christmas. They were shipped out on the 26th of November. I received them a week later. One top was a size too small. She went into the store on January 2 to exchange it for one size larger. They would not accept the exchange as 30 days had passed since the date it was shipped. We were not looking for a refund. A simple exchange. This occurred at Zara's in Halifax shopping Center. The operations manager does not seem to care about retaining customers and directed me to their customer service center. I spoke with their customer "no service" department, who spoke in circles, directing me back to the operations manager, like I wished to speak to her again, no thanks. I give up Zara's. You win. Take my money. I'll take my future business elsewhere. It's a shame as I've ordered from them every Christmas. NEVER again.

My wife got me a pair of jeans for Xmas from the Metropolis at Metrotown Store in Burnaby BC. The pants were one size too big so I went in to exchange them. They were busy so no help from anyone. I managed to find the jeans she bought me, tried on the right size and proceeded to wait in the line up to exchange. I brought the same jeans that I had in hand with receipt. The jeans never worn with all of the tags still on them. The manager took a look at the date and told me that it was past 30 days and there is NO returns or exchange past the 30 days. I explained that it was a Xmas present and i didn't think I had to look at the date and run to the store after Xmas. I was in the store on Jan 20 2015 so I thought that perhaps there may have been some grace time from Xmas day. The pants were purchased on Dec 12 2014. The only response that i got from the manager is that it was past 30 days. All I wanted was a pair that fit which i had in my hand. That was the response with a snarly look on his face. My wife had suggested that I look around for other items to perhaps buy. I looked and spoke (on the phone) to her and we had made arrangements to meet and I could try some things on. Well all that I got out of this experience is a pair of jeans that don't fit and some of the poorest customer service i have experience in a long time. I run my own company with 45 employees and i know what customer service is and should be. This was a poor experience and i will never set foot in this store or brand again. like I'm doing now i will pass on my experience to people i know because i'm out $85.00 because of people that don't care.

I purchased a sweater from Zara one week ago- I got home and noticed the cashier forgot to remove the security tag. Fast forward to this morning- I went into the Halifax Zara store in the Halifax Shopping Centre with the original purchase receipt, and kindly asked a manager to remove the tag. The manager insinuated that the piece of clothing was not paid for, and stolen since the security tag was 'still active.' This was completely uncalled for and overall pretty embarrassing. The manager and store representative proceeded to continuously ask me if I paid for this item, and if I was positive I bought this last week. The manager showed me a machine that stated there were three of these items in store, and the top I paid for was still on their list. I could understand the cause for concern if I did not have my receipt but that was not the case. I had shown the manager the original receipt which matched the price of the top, and my online banking linking the purchase to the exact date and amount. However, this did not suffice- so the manager had to call another rep. Again, extremely embarrassing- and absolute terrible customer service. I am not one to ever review or complain online, but after this experience today- I cam completely turned off from this company. Zara, you have lost a very loyal customer as I will not be purchasing anything from this company- and I will be sure to warn all friends and family of this poor customer service and treatment of the general public.

Been trying to reach the store by phone for over almost two hours. They will not pick up the phone. All i want is to check stock on an item before driving over 1 hour. Im continuously calling back as soon as it goes to the message. Even if you are busy with customers within 2 hours someone should actually pick up the phone.
My daughter tried to return Xmas gifts on Jan. 7. Am extremely disappointed that she was told by staff working at the store that day that her return was based on how the manager was “feeling” (exact wording from the store) despite the fact that she had the original receipt. Covid 19 complicates everything including returns soon after Xmas. Will not ever be buying here again.

Worst customer service by the manager ADAM. Doesn't know how to talk and solve customer issue which was made by the cashier and lately when he couldn't solve it, started talking with us rudely. I would recommend never to shop in this store.
This newly renovated store needs a MANAGER who knows how to MANAGE and better trained employees. Horrible customer service. If you really hate your job then don't work here. Its a shame when the manager have the worse attitude than anyone else . Filed a complaint but never got a call back from their customer service.

Fashionable stuff
The security guard followed me around because I had a backpack on. I had just come from work and was tired and wanted to get new work clothes but she followed me and kept trying to talk to me. It made the shopping experience really uncomfortable. Also any time I've ordered something online I've had to wait a long time in line then they keep me waiting off to the side and often forget about me there leaving me waiting again. Shopping in the store is difficult because of the disorganization and lack of selection.

Only 2 cash register in men section and most women came to pay at the men section cashier, making the line long. Takes average 15min to check out. They should have open more cash register or block the men section from women.

This store makes me incredibly dizzy. I think it's the renovation they've done recently, and the layout of it is like being in a fun-house mirror. There's something about all the rounded shapes that literally make my head swim being in here. Apart from that, the clothes are pretty overprices for how cheaply made they are.

I've always loved this place, especially the Metrotown location. The selection of styles are so nice and I have to fight myself not to empty my bank account. The Zara styles are especially great for those who are tall, unlike other stores that cater to the average shorter women. With that said, Zaras designers have provided styles for everyone. I'm not a big fan of the mens wear, but I usually spend all my time in the women's section anyways.
