Great selection of costumes but what brought me in the door was the stellar service and communication via their Facebook page. They have Mehron makeup, which is difficult to find anywhere outside Toronto. Also offer alterations. So glad to see they found a new home, after leaving Ottawa I thought they had closed. Highly recommended for any costuming, cosplay, dress up or special events. The owners are connecting more with social media - follow them on Instagram, and like their Facebook page to stay in the loop!q

Any costume you can imagine and Brenda is a gem and will help you find whatever it is you're looking for. She's also an expert seamstress and can do alterations to anything as well as make custom garments from scratch.

To be honest, I haven't entered the store. BUT, I would recommend them without a second thought! I also tell people about them on a regular basis! Why? I drive a patient transfer van, many of my clients are going further down Concession Street to the cancer clinic. With all that's going on in their lives, they sometimes need a smile. Penny Pincher does that when they walk the street in costume!

Amazing service. Was able to rent costumes in the Medieval Theme for my wedding party. A lot of my guests rented from here as well. My wedding was partly a success because I was able to have so many people dress in the theme. Would recommend their service to anyone.

Brenda is absolutely amazing, her skills are impeccable. A great pleasure to talk to and very helpful. She taught me a lot about sewing, being that I have very little knowledge with sewing and often hand-stitch everything. She was polite and her husband is such a great person being joy to everyone while he walks the streets in costume. Definitely the place to go to for costumes and such. The store front itself is absolutely beautiful and the layout is awesome. If you ever have a chance, this is one place to check out!

Costume is nice but extremely expensive. We just rent something for 2 days but we have to pay $75. I only go there when I have no more choice with my costume.

My friend rented a costume from Penny Pincher Costume and I was super impressed with the quality of the suit: Captain America. It was a big hit at the Halloween party for a local organization that serves adults with intellectual disabilities. It was also a huge hit on Halloween night as we gave out candy and made a run to a local grocery store. The price was very fair for the quality of costume. The owner is a lovely woman who is a high quality person. I highly recommend this place for getting a costume for your next party or event!

Please avoid, the lady is such a scammer. I called to tell her I would be late she said no worries, then charged my card double late fees. The costs were more than the mask. She charged me $500 for a 60$ mask. Then took the mask from me. Go somewhere else

Of Google would allow 0 to write a review I'd put 0. The women is rude and inconsiderate. Knows nothing about FX makeup and the markup is over 300%. Doesn't actually put items on hold even though she says she would EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE COMING IN THAT DAY, but will sell the items you need EVEN THOUGH SHE SAID ITS ON HOLD. And when she is confronted by this she will say "its just business" . Why even say the items are on hold at all if she's just going to sell them? Bad business, bad products, very bad costumer service. The place should be out of business.

First time I ve visited here since they moved from Ottawa st ,it still has many rental costumes of all types ,the owner is friendly and personable some prices are high but the cleaning of the costumes after use is the reason

I am so outraged I rented a costume from the owner DEBORAH and now I have a terrible rash all over my legs and mid section. I guess the costume was not cleaned properly which is absolutely disgusting and lazy! I am just waiting now to be attacked by this woman for stating my honest experience, based on how she has treated other customers in the review section. I guess everyone is making these reviews up?! shame on you Deborah and please clean your costumes!
