I went to the home depot in Brockville to purchase flooring. I must say what a joke, trying to find someone to help you is impossible. I found someone in another section asked if I could get some help in flooring and was told sure thing I will page someone for you. I waited at least 5 minutes and know one showed. I then ran into another guy from lighting that paged Shannon twice to flooring, and of course she never showed up either. He noticed after another ten minutes that no one showed up and actually went walking around the store looking himself for someone from flooring, told me that they were on there way, waited another five minutes and of course no show. If this is the way Home Depot runs there store I am very surprised they are still in business. I know they just lost mine.

I went in just to get a bird bath I saw on their website. I ordered it online and called to see when I could pick it up, I was on hold for a long time and ended up just going in to purchase the bird bath. There's usually plenty of parking spots available. I asked an employee where the bird baths were and he kindly told me where. It was pretty easy to find and the employee at the check out was also very friendly. It was a simple and pleasant experience (in store, can't say the same over the phone).

I could sit here and write complaint after complaint but if I had any, I'd speak them directly to someone in charge at the store. For positive comments, I've always found Home Depot to be the "go to" for just about all things associated with home and garden. It is said that shoppers should shop around but not only do they price match, I've known them to add a further 10% discount for my trouble without asking. As for Staff - I've always found them to be attentive, but I'm no more important than others, so I can be patient enough to wait my turn. I've given 4 Stars here only because 5 stars would be perfect and no one person or business is.

I suppose this store is OK if you don't have to deal with the staff. In my opinion this is one of the worst building supply stores I have visited in the last decade. I give a lot of business to Home Depot but this location gives the name a bad reputation. Their inventory is a mess, the website information never matches and the majority of the staff have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I have had to argue with the staff on many occasions, they seemingly are confused about how to treat customers. One occasion I was looking for white cedar boards, online said they had them. I loaded the kids and drive to Brockville and of course they had red cedar boards with no white to be found. The staff insisted that there was no difference and that all cedar was white. Another occasion I had to argue with the guy in the screw isle when he insisted there was no such thing as self tapping wafer head screws for metal framing. Then last Friday I went in for 10" concrete blocks that their website said they had 40 in stock. After being constantly redirected by staff finally I encounter one particularly miserable women who said they don't sell them and became increasingly rude as I insisted I had seen them in stock on their website. She was argumentative telling me how she had been working there forever and knew everything apparently, she made comments like "well if you checked online then you should know were they are". Finally another staff member got involved and informed me that they had got some but decided to use them for their own display (and showed me) I imagine the only good reviews these people have is from locals whom have no other options or no exposure to the products and service they should be receiving at a Home Depot.

First off, thank you to Michelle the Manager for trying your best in what seemed to be an impossible nightmare delivery situation. We live on a cottage road and have ordered from Home Depot before and have had successful deliveries without issue. For whatever reason the driver of Canada Cartage who Home Depot uses refused to deliver the load the first day and didn’t even call with a reason so left us stranded without our order. The second day we were told the order would arrive at 10:30am and it never did, the driver refused to deliver it. Later on in the same day, the driver arrived but refused to drive down the cottage road and dropped the load off at the main gate, 2km from our actual cottage, forcing us to break down the load and move it in with a pickup truck. The driver was not polite, nor did he care about the situation, he had a very poor attitude. If you live in Cottage Country, think twice before ordering from Home Depot for delivery, it was a complete cluster-f and an experience from hell.

Update 2020/07/05 - extremely disappointed with the staff today assisting customers in the isles. NOT FOLLOWING OR ENFORCING their physical distancing policies. Allowing more in isles and not respecting directions on floors. Standing next to others with no masks. ???? Great advice and assistance today from the associate in the plumbing section. Found for me what I was looking for and explained how to use the fitting based on his personal experience. 5 stars out of 5 to him. Deducted 1 star due to clerk in checkout who closed up when it was busy but then woke up and realized she should stay open to help clear the lineup next to her.

Terrible customer service. Employees have a handful of carts in the aisles doing inventory (Which is fine) but they were using a few lumber carts and there was none left for customers. There were only regular shopping carts left. I asked to borrow one of the lumber carts as I was not strong enough to lift the sheet of melamine with my husband. They refused to let us borrow it and I ended up slicing my hand open. After this occurred, my husband asked for the cart again (surprisingly calm by my surprise) and we were given attitude and a silent treatment. I am very disappointed and will not be shopping here anymore.

I was not at all happy on this visit. I drove 1/2 hour to get to Home Depot to get paint tinted that I had just purchased on Wednesday . I told the lady and showed her the tag that I wanted it Swiss Coffee. I drove 1/2 hour home to people waiting for the paint with the room half painted. Great stop for sure! We have been looking for a specific type of toilet in a certain price range and Home Depot had it! They also had the colour of flooring in the vinyl sheet we've been looking for too! Better to go in the store as online didn't show these items that we purchased!

Customer service lacking in this store in Brockville. We were overcharged after spending almost $1,000 and we hadn't left the store yet. What upset me the most about this experience was the fact that the cashier took it upon herself to start scanning the items through despite neither us present My husband had left them close to the front waiting for me while he moved the SUV to the loading area and I had gone to check on one more item. I had wanted to check the receipt before leaving and found the error. The response from the cashier was you have to go to the front. We therefore had to haul all the stuff back to the other end of the store and my husband had to bring the SUV back as well. No offer of any help despite employees standing nearby. The most appropriate resolution to this should have been for the cashier to get help to bring this stuff to the front and explain to their staff for the refund and bring the items back to the loading area. Just a little customer service and appreciation for shopping in their store goes a long way. Update. I returned the flooring and bought at another competitor. The negative experience had me rethinking my choice of flooring and brand and since I had gotten most of the stuff for the renovations at another competitor and was happy, I decided to do a return. At the competitior, I was able to buy the flooring on sale the last day of the sale and saved money. Almost have it installed and It is looking very nice.

Poor customer service. On two separate occasions now I’ve waited over 20 minutes for help at the saw machine. Walked around the whole wood department looking for a sales worker no one was on the floor. Went to the cashiers asked them to page someone, they did. I waited over 20 minutes and walked out without purchasing anything.

Not a great experience either time I came here. I needed help with a Ridgid tool, and ended up waiting around, being told someone would help, only to find out that they do not have repair service for ANYTHING here. Employees didn't know if they do or dont repair things. The Ridgid website lists them as a repair location. The manager I was brought to talk to ask where I could get it repaired suggested I buy a clearance tool to replace my broken one that's under a lifetime Ridgid warranty. Very helpful.

Lots of options, but better hope you dont need help finding anything, only thing harder to find than what you need is an employee to help! People always seem to rant and rave about their prices too but everything I was looking for was just as much if not more then the smaller local building supply store I had priced at. Just ended up being a waste of time.
