Everything about this place is good. The store atmosphere, the helpful staff, the thick fabric, the classic style. The price is very reasonable, cheaper than Aritzia and boutique clothing stores. Plus they adjust the clothing to fit your body for free! Cannot say more good things about this place.

I just purchased an asymmetrical skirt and completely in love with it! The design is understated but unique. I love the feel and cut of their pieces. Ocean and the seamstress were so helpful in picking pieces out for me and suggesting how they could perform the alterations which are included on all their work! When I came back and the alterations needed further adjustments, they got them done ASAP as I was going away for the weekend and wanted to wear my new skirt! Okakie is without a doubt in my top three experiences! Not only they have beautiful, original, high quality clothes, but they also have an amazing service. From the way they welcome you, the way they give you advice while you're trying on clothes, the way they help you decide the best pieces for you to the way they do alterations (for free) so the clothes fit you perfectly, it is outstanding! Bonus tip: they are right next to the Purebread bakery, so shopping and indulging a piece of cake make the best afternoons!!!

I went to Okakie for the first time the week they opened, and am now a lifelong loyal customer. Their clothes are exquisite, very well made and comfortable. Everything can be altered on site which is so convenient. Ive taken at least 6 girl friends there and they all leave with something amazing. The staff are wonderful, and are always so sweet and help me pick out outfits when I'm in a rush yet they're never pushy. Highly recommended!

I've never felt so taken care of at a retail store before! Their gorgeous pieces are top quality and designed in Vancouver, which would lead me to assume they'd be expensive. I was delighted to find that they were very reasonable given the quality, and as a bonus were all machine washable. Product aside, the service here was absolutely fabulous. It was like we became instant best friends - they provided highly personalized, accurate advise on sizing and style. I couldn't believe that they tailor every piece to your exact size and preference - for FREE! I left with some quality staples that I know will last for years to come, in both style and quality. I bought a stunning dress and skirt from Okakie but after my personal alterations the outfits looked even more incredible. I have never had something fit my body so perfectly. I have bought outfits for all of my summer engagements from Okakie. The manager and entire team at the gastown location have helped me find entire outfits that look stunning and can be worn again and again. I absolutely love shopping here as the team takes the time to pin every outfit I try on so that I can see how it will looking after the alterations are complete. I wouldn’t go back to shopping anywhere else!!

Every time I walk into this place I leave feeling like a million bucks and just in awe of how amazing of an experience I had. First off, the staff is incredible! I usually hate retail staff following me around but the Okakie staff couldn’t be more different. They are so welcoming, genuine and insightful. I can always trust the advice they give me on what looks good and what doesn’t. They aren’t pushy at all. The clothes are so well thought out per collection. The colour schemes are always on point. Incredible experience. So refreshing to see passionate authentic staff loving what they do. I visited Okakie on Saturday April 13 and thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience. It started with the caring staff who were so skilled at making me feel welcome and creating a memorable experience like no other place. The attention to detail in finding the right outfit, how to fit it, making suggestions and then offering same day alterations all included in their fantastic prices. The staff are some the friendliest I’ve met while shopping giving me their undivided attention (a rarity these days), epecially in a place where the clothing is fairly priced. I came in last week needing clothes that would work for interviews and upcoming presentations, and of course I wanted them to be comfortable and something that I actually like. Im 6 feet tall, this can be very difficult for me! The team there were so helpful, and I'm so happy with my new clothing. I've been at a conference all day and people are stopping me to ask about my outfit. It's made me feel very fancy. :) Also the price point is actually really reasonable considering this is a local designer in downtown Vancouver. Definitely drop by when you have some time to try on a few outfits!

What an excellent find, awesome store with awesome friendly staff! I had pass by Okakie many times but never had time to stop. Last Friday I made a stop at Okakie what a gem of a store and staff. The two young ladies were so knowledgeable about all the products. I bought an outfit that needs alot of modifications ( the alterations were done for no charge). My complete outfit was ready in less the 48 hours. The store and designers are all local. I love to support our local business. I will be back... Thank you for such quality and beautiful products.

I'm a 10 and everything I tried fit, but any larger and it wouldn't. Curvy gals like ethical and sustainable fashion too so it would be nice to see more than a Large as the biggest size.

Very good service in store but terrible after service! It took 3 weeks to get my cardigan that needed to resize.I called 2 times after 2 weeks of purchasing date but my cardigan was still in the store. They said they will email the tracking number but did not received it even after telling my email address 2 times. I'm happy with other pants that I've bought but never going to order online for sure.

I found the perfect dress from Okakie. It was a beautiful asymmetrical black dress with a fairly low cut bodice. The only problem was that they didn't have it in a small and I was trying on their last medium. The staff were so helpful though, informing me that they do alterations on all their pieces to make it the best fit for your body. I also bought a maxi shirt dress, which needed to be altered just a bit for my own preference. They were able to shorten the dress a bit, and give the waist a little more definition which I absolutely loved. All of their clothing is hand made with care and they take pride in making the clothes fit for your particular style and body. A woman's body is not the same for everyone and they represent that beautifully with their alterations on all their pieces. A definite gem of a store in Gastown.

Ocean and Indre were so sweet and helpful in finding me a Vegas party outfit. The staff have all been very polite and so nice. It’s so great to know they include alterations at no extra cost. Even when I took the altered dress home (hemmed/added cups/shortened straps) and had the weekend to think it over, there were no hesitations from the staff in accommodating my extra alteration request to remove some excess fabric. They wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied. The shopping experience is so pleasant and wonderful. I really love the exclusivity with how they do small runs of their collections instead of mass producing. Will definitely be back for more shopping! The girls are terrific.

Everything is reasonably priced for the quality that you get and I absolutely love that they do alterations for you and the piece becomes completely personalized to fit your unique body.
