Been here several times now and have been treated very well. Staff have always been helpful and even stayed late once to finish matching my attireEven after having a mix up with a shirt coming from another store and being shipped to Victoria. They made it right by having it properly pressed and ready when I did get it and gave me a choice of free underwear or socks. That's how you keep a costumer happy even in a mix up.

Nice looking place. Nice products. A tad pricey but you get well made clothes. Uncomfortable shopping experience. If you want to get followed around like you're purchasing a car this is the place to be. Everytime we went to go look at something else the worker was not even 15 feet away at all times. Never asked any questions just followed. I get that times are tough and location is a rough area but that was way too much. So...we purchased a suit elsewhere.

A HUGE shout out to Nathan at the Courtenay store!!! As two small business owners ourselves, my mom and I are completely blown away by a fantastic shopping experience at Jim’s Clothes Closet complete with warm, friendly, and helpful service. Nathan was extremely personable, very knowledgeable about products and services offered, and an excellent salesman without being pushy. His etiquette was absolutely perfect. At the end of the shopping experience, we left the store feeling like important and valued customers. In this trying time, across the board, having that level of service raises the bar for what can be done everywhere. In an age of online shopping, today’s interaction with Nathan will have us returning to shop at Jim’s in person every single time! If Nathan is not already in management or in charge of customer service, we think he should be!!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience and we will see you again soon!

This review is a little late in coming as I got married on Dec. 10th, but every day I remembered the patience, kindness, and impeccable professionalism of Nathan, who helped me in my hour of need. My now husband and I decided last minute to do our ceremony in BC at his mom's house. Moore's was unable to help me because they sent their alterations out to Ontario. I emailed Jim's Clothes Closet and Nathan very quickly got back to me and told me that yes, he could take measurements for tux rental via email. I measured my husband with a paper tape from a pharmacy and got the measurements to him, and Nathan got immediately back to me asking which tux options I would like. Everything, from start to finish, was easy and gave me great peace of mind! I cannot recommend this establishment enough!

I purchased a sweater from them a couple months ago that unfortunately had a small tear in it. I brought this to the attention of their staff who recommended a tailor in town, who stated that they could make the repair for a nominal fee. I dropped it off and returned later to pick it up, only to discover that the shop had covered the cost for me. Jim's Clothes Closet exemplifies quality customer service and conduct in support of this community, and I cannot recommend them enough.

Stopped in yesterday to find a wedding outfit. I went in with a concept in my mind, and found the staff very helpful. Jim is great. Very knowledgeable and fun. He put together multiple options, and walked me through various pros and cons of all of them. In the end he found me the perfect outfit. Wasn't what I had in my head, but was actually much better. Great experience overall.

Sales staff person was agressive and arrogant. A very awful experience. An overly aggressive prevention of me entering store when I tried to let myself through the felt rope entrance barrier. (Didn’t see sign that said ask for help) There was a mix up as to sale price on two items and staff member enquired with manager to verify. Manager confirmed staff member was correct, and staff member couldn’t have been more ecstatic to prove me wrong with the higher price. Just bizarre. Needless to say, after being a spendy customer over the last few years- I won’t be back.

Outstanding customer service. Their clothes are of good quality, so I don't get to shop there very often. I was there last Friday for the first time in close to a year. I got greeted by my name as I was coming in. And when I was trying to recall my sizing for dress shirt, one of their team member appeared with perfect timing to politely remind me of my sizing from the last few time I was in. Not sure how they swing it, but it makes for an A+ shopping experience. And I know that the clothes will last me.

Service here is second to none I was very impressed I was visiting from out of town and needed to purchase a suit I dealt with Conner in the store who was extremely helpful in presenting there products and options He had also promised a follow-up by phone and did so Its not often you can find service like this in retail any more . service is the only way to differentiate and provide proof your better than the next Conner: kudos to you and to Jims for having an employee like you who cares and takes his job seriously this is rare and impressive Top notch !

After almost 20 years of living in Prince George I was elated to see a quality men's store come to PG. From casual work clothes to lower high end dress clothes and suits. They carry one of my favorite shirt brands Bugatchi. A limited selection in small and medium sizes as the store seems to aim at slightly larger clientele. Easily the best men's clothing store in PG for clothing selection. However, the customer service is atrocious. Two young sales reps were very pleasant and helpful but the older rep was rude and insulting. When trying on clothing no matter how poorly a piece of clothing fit she would always say it looked good and made ridiculous statements why a piece of clothing did not hang well. When a sale means more than satisfying a customer I immediately begin to question the store policy. This sales attitude is quite common in clothing stores so I simply ignored the woman's comments and relied upon my wife's opinions of the clothing. I purchased almost $1,200 worth of clothing (all of which I am very pleased with) on a Saturday but a sports jacket and a pair of jeans needed alterations. I was told the alterations would be done in a week and that they are sent out on Tuesday and come back to the store on Friday. I went to pick up my clothing on Friday and was told (by the older rep) that they were not ready and that if I had wanted a rush order I should have told her. I said that I was told they would be ready the week in which I was picking them up. In an extremely condescending and rude manner I was reminded several times that the clothes go out on Tuesday and back on Friday which puzzled me greatly as it was Friday. I said nothing to the woman as I was very insulted that she blamed me for my clothing not being ready. In the next week I was called on Wednesday that my clothes were ready. When I went to pick them up the woman continued to berate me for whatever reason I did not understand and still did not apologize for any delays in the delivery. When I asked why they were ready on a Wednesday since she was so emphatic about the Tuesday Friday thing she made more excuses in an even more condescending fashion. I took my clothing and left the store. I will return to a few semi annual shopping trips to Vancouver at my favorite store Harry Rosen where clothing and customer service are both of the highest standard. I will never shop at Jim's Clothes Closet again.

Took great care to make sure my custom 3-piece fit just right. My jacket on the first order came in too small around the mid-section. Not sure why, but was not concerned as I was assured that they would do whatever was necessary to fix. Ended up with a new jacket at no extra cost. Good advice and excellent service all-round!
