I had purchased a few items at the Guildford location the day prior and had t tried them on as I was in a rush. I ended up trying them on at home and they were too big so I went to the Metrotown location the next day to try to find a smaller size to exchange them with but unfortunate couldn’t find anything. So I waited in line to return the items. I saw one of the cashiers eyeball me while I was in line, as luck would have it, she was the cashier who served me. I explained to her that I had purchased these the day before and didn’t try them, etc. She definitely was not friendly or pleasant in any way. She looked at the items (all were unworn and had tags attached), then seemed pleased to throw one of the items aside and say that’s on sale it’s a final sale. Meanwhile over your PA system is a repeating ad that says “try it on at home”. No one mentioned it was a final sale to me when I bought it, but she didn’t care, rather pointed to the receipt like I was an idiot and said it says so right there.. I asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the manager in a very curt way, meaning she didn’t want to talk about it further. It was a $7,99 top for heavens sake! You’re willing to lose a customer over a $7.99 top?! Ok, point taken. I’ve spent quite a bit of money at H&M but I hear you loud and clear., you don’t want my business. I hope you teach your staff to treat people nicer, I left your store feeling completely dismissed. I won’t be shopping there again.
