My 12 year old daughter loves this place. It's one size fits all and I would say 99% of the ladies in here have the same body type. I wouldn't say it's my favorite place, but whatever makes my daughter happy. My only suggestion is to provide some chairs or something to sit on to make it more comfortable for us parents waiting. Every time I have come here there's always a small group of us parents jockeying for a spot near the entrance. I'm sure if there was a sitting area the store's sales would show a noticeable bump from this accommodation.

i literally shop there every time i’m in vancouver, but it’s not always super welcoming, tbh it almost never is. the staff are super unhelpful and almost seem entitled. they always look miserable while they’re working, maybe it’s because they’re trying to pay off student loans or something- idk. the girls at the cash register are a little nicer than the ones working in the change room section, but overall most of the employees need to learn what customer service is. it’s not just vancouver brandy, but all brandys need more variety in size. i hate walking in there and seeing girls leave empty handed because they weren’t tiny enough to fit into a shirt or their waist is too wide for the pants.

I honestly like this store for my daughter, they just need to put prices on the clothes. One issue I had was my daughters earring broke the same day we bought it. I understand they say jewlery is final sale but she was taking it out if her ear. I called the store to see if we could do anything about it, apparently once its out of the store its not there problem. What bad customer service. My store has final sale on jewlery but if it breaks we will return it . You need to step up good service or you will lose your customers.

The line was really long. I think the workers should limit the customer’s amount of time to spend in the store. It’s also super small and not a great selection of clothes. It all looked the same. Staff did nothing. They just stood around, peeking outside once in a while to look at the line. The staff weren’t rude, however they weren’t helpful. I was greeted when I entered the store and they seem nice, but still they weren't much help. They didn’t even apologize for the wait. It was my first time at a Brandy location, however I was disappointed.

I went here back in the summer for the first time ever. I had heard lots about brandy, and expected not to find many clothes that fit as I am not a tiny girl. Most of their clothes are very small, although they do have some larger hoodies and t shirts now I would consider buying. Me and my friend walked in to find the store absolutely packed, as most Vancouver stores are in the summer. I wanted to try on a hoodie, but the lineup for the change rooms wrapped around most of the store and was barely moving. I put the hoodie back, and got in line to pay for a few jewelry/misc items. Me and my friend probably stood in line for about 20 minutes, with only two out of three registers open on a very busy day. When we finally got to the register, the cashier sounded very annoyed and depressing. It almost felt like we were a burden to her. We spent maybe ten minutes browsing the store, fifteen minutes waiting in a change room lineup before giving up, and then twenty minutes in the checkout lineup. 45 minutes in an overwhelming busy store... just for a couple necklaces and a keychain. They have some very cute stuff (if you can fit into it) and their accessories are very cute and trendy, decent priced and fair quality as well. The staff were not the nicest and I think they were handling this particular day horribly. I would come back next time I'm in the city... with caution. If shipping to Canada wasn't so expensive, I'd just buy online.

I went to the store, and almost ALL their clothes were one size fits all kind of thing, I can't believe this! I bought a really nice pair of pants but when I got home and put them on, they didn't fit! these clothes are made for really tiny people because I would say I'm average sized. really upset!

This store is absolute TRASH. No matter what day or time it is, there's always a huge line that probably takes at least 2 hours to wait in. (I'm pretty sure they do that on purpose so that you feel compelled to buy something because you waited in a 2 hour lineup). It's such a toxic environment. All the workers are rude and give you dirty and judgmental looks. Their clothes are one size fits small and you can't try them on. Along with that they don't do refunds they only do exchanges or store credit. Once again, I think this is one of their tactics. You can't try it on so you don't know if it fits you or not. So you take a chance and buy it anyways, and then you can't get a refund. Not to mention the clothes are very overpriced. I will NEVER shop at this store again.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This store only sells ONE SIZE. Now I’m not sure if that was supposed to be a direct slap in the face to anyone above a size 2 but it sure feels like one. I love this store they have such cute clothing and I would blow all my money there IF I COULD FIT INTO IT. Keep in mind I’m a pretty average size, around a size 6, and the only thing that fits me in this store are hoodies. This store caters to model sized people ONLY, and it is 2018 now so I feel that there should without a doubt be more diversity in the sizing. I just don’t understand it, your company would get WAAYYY less negative reviews and WAAAYY more profit, if you opened it up to more sizes. Going into this store or even just THINKING about going in, makes me self conscious, and honestly makes me hate my body. Highly dissapointed in this brand.

Cute clothes but like everyone else I experienced horrible customer service. My mom came in to pay which the manager approved of but the asian girl working at the fitting rooms wasn’t happy about it and kept giving us nasty looks while we were in line and told us to stand right behind the person in front of us even though there is clearly lines on the floor. She was really nasty and made the experience really bad. Be prepared for LONG lines. Came on a Monday morning 10 minutes after they open and had to wait for 2 hours.

Employees are not very friendly and with both times I have been in the store, I felt looked down upon by the staff as a medium sized poc, even if the ridiculous OS clothes DO fit me. It is not hard to notice how differently I was treated and spoken to compared to other customers, and I felt uncomfortable in the store.

I was visiting Canada as part of a tourist program (festivals from Canada and the US) my daughter and her friend wanted to go shopping -they are huge Brandy Melville fans -I exchanged money at hotel for my daughter and cautioned her friend to exchange or use card to get the exchange rate -they took skytrain to Vancouver to specifically go to Brandy Melville -my daughters friend picked up a hoodie she liked -and went to purchase -she only had $100 in US money -this is where is gets dicey and RUDE -they took her hundred bucks and gave her 1-1 exchange and gave the change with Canadian dollars -now we figured with the exchange rate her hoodie cost 90 dollars -the employee who took the money made an extra 40 bucks that day -

I only took my granddaughter here once in the summer. The line up was absolutely ridiculous. I certainly understand their store is small but 3 stores, maybe, in all of Canada?? Why, if you can’t change this problem, do on-line purchasing like almost every other store any where in the world? Not like anyone can try your products on anyway. One other thing I have noticed in these reviews that is very unprofessional, is a lot of complaints are being directed at the supervisor Hannah, yet the owners are advising you to go in to talk to her about your issues. WOW!! Are you kidding me!!?? SHE appears to be one of your biggest problems. Hopefully the owners have addressed this by now. No one, and I mean NO ONE should feel belittled when they are spending their money. Your staff need to understand those hard earned $$ are paying their wages. Your customers definitely do not deserve nor need people belittling them. OWNER - pay due diligence to what your customer base is telling you. You need to have a “talk” with Hannah yourself.

Today I visited the store with a giftcard and was scammed. I was told that I had already used the gift card on January 19th when I had been away at university. There was no way anyone else could've used the gift card (which they accused me of). The paper gift cards are definitely a scam. Had to end up paying full price, didn't really seem like anyone knew what they were doing.

I love brandy melville because they have some really cute clothes and quite a wide variety of colours and styles. The staff at this particular location are a little quiet but i wouldn’t st rude like most of the reviews said. They just wouldn’t go out of their way to help you. The reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because the staff looked very annoyed when someone didn’t have the right body type to fit in their clothes and they were going in change rooms. That problem luckily wasn’t there for us but I still think the staff should be nicer to customers even if they don’t fit in the clothes. I would also say that the Brandy Melville staff are a little younger than most staff (early teens) so that may or may not contribute to the problem. Other than that, it’s an amazing store.

WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!! I'm an Asian Canadian that has been living in BC for over five years. So today I went to Brandy Melville for the first time. As I walked in it seemed like a really nice shop. I picked out a few shirts to try on. As I was waiting in the line for the fitting room, no staff was there to help us. The two girls on the couch next to the fitting rooms pointed at a couple of rooms telling us those were empty, so the two ladies ahead of me went in. I saw another fitting room in the back so I walked there to see if anybody was in it. It turned out to be a storage room. As I walked back to the line a female staff in her 20s was standing there, and she said:"Can you just wait in the line?", along with an angry face. I felt uncomfortable but didn't say anything. When a room became available I was directed to it. That girl asked how many items i had so I said 3 and showed them to her. She replied "Okay", and then came the "FUN" part. She asked me to "LEAVE MY PURSE OUTSIDE THE FITTING ROOM"! What kind of request was that???!!!! I have never been humiliated like this in MY LIFE!!! I was so embarrassed so I ran into the fitting room and tried to calm down. It took me a while since I suffer from anxiety. When I walked out the store the girl at the register was kind and nice to me. Wishing me a good day. I do not understand why a racist is hired at a store in downtown Vancouver, a city that is made up of people from extremely different backgrounds, cultures, and races. I will never ever go into this store again, let along buying things from them. I hope my review was helpful. Thanks for reading.

Because of Covid there is a restriction of how many people can go in, but no restriction to how long they can stay. Therefore waiting in line for an hour can and was a common occurrence. The clothing is one size fits all, but it very obviously does not fit all. I’d say at very maximum a size 6. So not very inclusive. If you’re small and looking for basic teen girl clothing this is a great place to go. Just know you will be waiting a very long time to get in.

Go for the clothes, not for the customer service. The girls who work here are straight up weird/rude. They don’t acknowledge you even when you are standing right infront of them. I've been there multiple times and have always ended up buying something (coz everything looks cute), but the customer service has been lacklustre EVERYTIME. The "employees" look like they are dying from the inside - atleast that’s what i could decipher from their face expression. But i did see two of the girls laughing amongst themselves today.. so i guess they just hate the customers. Very cliquey.

Honestly, I really don't know if it was just in my head, but I felt like I was being judged by the employees, probably because I didn't look the brandy melville type (skinny/pretty). The Employees seemed pretty unfriendly, or I guess netural towards me. It felt almost clear that they weren't really hired on skill/abliliy, because they couldn't at least try to treat people kindly, or ask if anyone needed help, and seemingly just skimmed by doing the bare minimum.

The sizes there are very problematic. The store has unrealistic beauty standards saying that one size fits all, when it really doesn’t. The store is always so crowded it’s overwhelming sometimes. I also get bad vibes whenever I enter the store from the employees, but maybe that’s just me.

Avoid Hannah C (tall, loud, white, brunette) girl at all costs. She is very unkind and shouldn’t be in a position of authority (she's a supervisor apparently). I’ve never had any issues with other staff members EXCEPT her. Is very condescending, even to her own staff. Otherwise, I don’t have any issues with the actual store. No it is not size inclusive, but it's targeted for petite teenage girls and I don’t particularly take offense to it as an adult. But i understand why others find it uncomfortable. But it's affordable (compared to other brands like Urban & Aritzia, etc.) and my sister really likes it here.

The change rooms are very not very private because they have curtain instead of a door and I had to like hide in a corner while changing to not be seen by the people waiting outside. Very limited selection too and of course the sizing thing seems a little wrong to me but that’s the way it is so..

Both times I have been to Brandy, have been at this location. The clothing is so cute, and the quality is decent. Prices are okay, (around $35 for a skirt, $50 for pants) not extremely expensive considering the quality and style. The store is usually packed, but I think if you go during the week it should be quieter. *My only complaint* is the staff! I have encoutered some very kind, friendly and helpful staff who are willing to help you. But, I have had a few who came off quite rude and disconcerned with any customers. For example, I was walking around and there was a worker stocking the shelves or fixing the displays, etc. The boxes were in my way of moving and I was kinda stuck, and in a very very rude tone with a harsh face, she said 'ok JUST STEP ACROSS'. That's not too bad, but other than the staff, I love brandy and it's great!

I like the clothes here but this store was very unwelcoming. First of all the store is extremely small and every square inch was covered with people, ( you had to squeeze past people to get to the clothes ). Secondly the staff gave nasty to looks my friends and I. Thirdly the changing rooms are quite uncomfortable with only a small curtain covering you; my friend literally had the curtain opened on her. Lastly my friend (who is a size 8) got plenty of stares and the cashier didn’t put the necklace she had bought in the bag so she had to go back inside the store to get it and it was out of its package for some reason (she was buying it as a gift) which sucked. It seemed if you weren’t a certain type of person you stood out and EVERYONE there judged you for it. My friends and I will NOT go back to this location due to the fact that we actually left the store shaking.

Waited in line since 5:15 she came out at 5:35 and said that they weren’t letting anymore people in because they are closing at 6. She comes out again at 5:58 and tells everyone to leave and that the store is closed even though the signs say 7 pm. So after waiting in line for 45 minutes and with rude employees that said they closed an hour early then they actually did! Went and grabbed dinner and saw they were letting people in and the store was still open!! Very poor service and horrible that they would lie to customers when they closed

My daughter adores this store and so I’ve been often. The quality of clothing has always been excellent - super soft cotton that washes well and seems to get better with age. I love their t-shirt designs and the retro feel to some of their clothes.

I have experienced this store 2 times now since I don’t live in Vancouver, both times one particular staff member stood out to me and made my experience quite poor! Hannah C (I think she might be a supervisor) has awful customer service and treats the people around her like garbage, I witnessed the way she talked to one customer who might not have been brandy size and it disgusted me! the way she talked to my friends and I was repulsive, she got angry we were in her way of restocking when we were trying to shop and was yelling at all the customers in line for no reason other than being too close together… I probably won’t return to this location due to the staffing issue!

The last time I went two girl were behind the till talking when I walked up wanting to pay, they kept talking to each other and didn’t even acknowledge that I was standing there till I asked if I could pay then one of the girls gave me a dirty look before walking away at that point I didn’t even want to buy anything anymore but I still did. Every time I’ve even been in this store the people working there have been rude and given me dirty looks and it’s not just one of the workers it’s all of them.

I spent half hour in a line waiting for a brown Christy but, when I finally entered the store, I became transfixed with the symmetry of the displays. Zippers line up perfectly vertical and each t-shirt flat against the next. I watched in awe as the girl with dark hair sculpted mountains of one-size-fits-all clothing made for tweens. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her hands as she folded sweatshirts unlike ever before. Sat peeled for no more than fifteen minutes but i swear it felt like forever... and I wish it was. Five stars.

Waited in line for so long to go in and not be able to use my store credit. Contacted customer service in US since Canadian stores weren't able to do anything. Basically $80 of store credit went into waste since neither party were able to do anything. I was advised to contact the canadian store again and then store advised me to contact US head office. Waste of time and money . Bye to my $80 that I can do jack all for . Good job!

Wow customer service is non existent in this place. Smiles not here go somewhere else. Might be what the brand is projecting. Geared towards teenagers. I get this indifference attitude from my teenager. The cold indifference from most of the staff including the manager. Just plain shocking. Lol I guess it’s the experience. Walk into urban outfitters next door refreshing. Role models for your teenager are next door. Head to urban outfitters skip this store. They need to really check in with their staff.

As a teen myself, I definitely think this is a good place to shop for. They have cute Tee's and cute dresses, along with more fun accessories or bags. The line up is a wait. I went there a few times and the wait is about an hour or an hour and a half. Clothing in Brandy is one size fits all, but I've seen some medium size teens fit into their clothing easily. Prices are a bit higher but it definitely worth it. Other then that, good store to shop for you teens, or for them to shop at.

I came in during closing hours and the staff were very rude, they even stood on a chair and yelled at us that they were closing in a few minutes — very unprofessional. Mangers and management this store in Vancouver is terrible. When shopping I Heard the girls at the store complaining about the manger (*Hannah* ) and another supervisor also interestingly named (*Hannah C*) . Tried to listen as best as I could but wasn’t able to hear that much. This needs to be checked out if the own workers are complaining…. group of girls at the cashier need to be interviewed by headquarters to get details about what is going on in the store. And yes I could agree MANAGEMENT is really bad. Not my first time hearing the workers say this. ????????????????????????????????

i love the clothing and the employees we're very nice to me. my only problem is the line up and lack of size range. i waited 2 hours in line and its only one size fits all ???? i hope to go back soon but with a shorter wait time

I would give zero stars if possible. There’s always a stereotype that brandy workers come off rude and i’m sad to say it’s true. My daughter and I had a very unwelcoming experience upon arrival today. We were waiting in line and an asian employee wearing brown sweatpants, grey tank top and white airforces was yelling profusely at us to move back. This was totally uncalled for as we all were trying our best to stay distanced and weren't given any other direction on where to stand in advance. I recommend hiring kinder employees as she was very rude and won’t be getting our business again. Once we got into the store she was giving us unnecessary attitude and kept giving us nasty looks. Please put a stop to this or I will complain again.

If you're not a size 0 or super skinny the employees wont be nice to you. I usually buy online without an issue but hate going in store because of the employees. Ive been countlessly judged and looked up and down various times when going into the fitting room at this location, sorry i don't starve my self to fit your employees beauty standards.

Went to the store today to return a sweater my daughter had buyer's remorse for. Spent approximately $52 of her Christmas money and felt guilty spending it on this item (not worth the price) yesterday. Spoke with the clerk and said no they don't give refunds because their system doesn't allow it. I asked to speak with the manager Anna and so she said they are a "boutique" store and don't allow refunds and said that her assistant manager sold my daughter the sweater and told my daughter the refund policy. I asked how do you know your assistant manager told my daughter that? My daughter would have known and either not buy the sweater or ask me to get a refund. Anna the manager said she just knows and I asked were you standing right there when the purchase took place? Of course not so how can you say your assistant manager said that? I explained that the no refund policy from a store that sells new clothes is unacceptable and other stores offer refunds. Kept shaking her head and refused to budge. I took the receipt back and turned around to walk out the store and looked back and saw her and 2 of her sales clerks laughing. Brandy Melville store should be ashamed of their sales clerks acting in that manner. I will ensure to let as many people know not to spend their hard earned money on the clothes and those clerks wages. I would have give no stars if there was an option. SHAME

It is quite obvious management hires based on looks. A lot of the girls here seem incapable to do basic interactions with customers, and a lot of the girls here seem to be 15 or even younger. The staff also lacks a lot of diversity, I’ve seen only a couple of asian girls in a sea of white girls. I have had one nice experience at cash area with a girl named Mariah.

the clothes are really cute, but don’t expect good customer service if you don’t look like the employees. most of them don’t talk to you or just stare at you as you walk around the store, our cashier today was nice until she YELLED that there was no returns. each time i’ve come in the employees are just folding clothes im the already tiny aisles, there’s space in the front but they don’t use it and make it awkward to get around the store. if you try to squish by them they make it seem like you’re inconveniencing them by shopping. cute clothes if you can fit but they really need to work on changing their mean girl image

My experiences at the Granville Brandy Melville have been horrible. Every time I enter the store I am never greeted. Not once has an employee said hi to me or offered to help.I have seen employees happily greet and help other customers that are not coloured. I am a person of colour and I feel because of that I am not a priority to the white staff. I have also been rudely stared at this store by the employees. My encounters with the cashiers have also been very unpleasant. I am never greeted when I approach the cashier and I have always been rudely rushed as if they want me to leave as soon as possible. Whenever the employees fold my items into the bag they throw the bag onto the table and walk away. I don’t recommend the Granville Brandy Melville to anyone especially my coloured friends.

Giant lineups to get into the store. Staff shortages. Expect to wait over an hour to 1.5 hours to get in in a bad area of the city. Then wait another 20 minutes for a cashier. It’s not the fault of the workers who work there. The company is a mess. Awful experience. You are better off shopping literally ANYWHERE else.

If you want a decent chance of not waiting too long in line, I would suggest coming here 30 minutes to 1 hour before opening or else the lineup will be quite overwhelming. It's nice to know that if you come before they open that even if you waited a while, you will get in basically as soon as they open because nobody's inside yet. I honestly didn't find much that stood out to me and only got a couple things for myself to make the time I waited in line worth it - don't know why I do this to myself lol. It's a good experience if you don't really have any plans for any time around the time you go so that you don't have to worry about how long you'll have to wait in line. You do have a 30 minute time limit, but that's not the worst considering the size of the store, you can probably do your rounds in about that amount of time.

I love the style and general aesthetic of the clothes and I shop here whenever I’m close by. I also was really thinking of working here as my second job. But every time I walk in though the workers are kind of rude. There was one time i walked in girl was folding some clothes at the front, she didn’t bother to greet any customers coming in, but instead she just stared at me and my boyfriend with such a grim look on her face and it she wouldn’t stop until I finished shopping and walked outside, and she’s not the only one that did that either. On this same day I bought a shirt, the girl at the till was super uninviting. I handed the shirt over with a smile and said hi. She said nothing at all to me except about the exchange / return policy. When she handed me my bag she said nothing to me, no thank you or didn’t even smile at me at all. I took my bag, said thank you and smiled at her but I walked away pretty disappointed with the service I got that day. There was another time where I went to try on one of the smaller tight fitted shirts. I have a bigger chest size ( perhaps c cup ) but I am skinny and can fit all the clothes. I picked several ones of the same style and they all fit nicely except for one which was somehow too small. I had a difficult time taking it off since my arms or head couldn’t squeeze through. I tried my absolute hardest and I was under a lot of stress. After trying to get the shirt off for about five minutes I kindly and embarassingly asked a worker if she could help me with my situation. She looked at me up and down as if she was body shaming me and said she’ll see what she can do with such a blank tone of voice. It didn’t look like she was willing to help so I just asked her if she could get my friend who was just browsing clothes. She just awkwardly stared at my friend for a while, long enough that a mother waiting for her kid in the changing room offered to help. I lifted both my arms and the shirt came off swiftly. I don’t understand why someone else’s mother can do this and not someone that works there. But I will always continue to love brandy Melville clothes and i wish the website can ship to Canada so I don’t always have to walk in that store feeling so unwelcomed. It shouldn’t be that hard to do some basic customer service. Tone of voice and body language really matters when working anywhere.

I will NEVER shop at this store again. I was in this store a few weeks ago for the first time. My daughter wanted to buy some things, however, we were unsure if they would fit as she has never shopped there before. Due to the virus they won’t let you try things on, fair enough, I can understand that. Although most stores will now let you try things on. The staff said that we could take the stuff home and if it didn’t fit we could bring it back within two weeks and get our money back full refund. Before paying for the merchandise I again asked if it can be returned for money back and they said yes. Otherwise, I wouldn’t randomly buy clothes that one cannot try on “hoping” they are going to fit. If the merchandise is returned after two weeks then you get a store credit. I went to return some of the clothing that didn’t fit and they said they don’t do refunds, store credit only. So in order to get me to purchase something they mislead me to think I could return it. When I looked at the receipt after trying to return it, it does say only store credit. There are no signs in the store that reflect that they only give store credit. Also, 90% of the clothing says one size fits all. Yes one size will fit all if you are a size 0-2. So they don’t cater to anyone who is a bigger size. So what is this store teaching young women about body image? Thank god there is an Aritzia in almost every city.

I’ve have been to Brandy Melville many times before but I have had the worst experience ever at this specific location. The workers are very unwelcoming and unprofessional they didn’t know what they were doing at the cash register either. It is also very tight in there which means people are squeezing pass each other. The customers were very rude and shoving my friends and I over. The staff were very slow to help you and clearly weren’t trained enough it seemed like their job was a joke to them. They also missed counted my change and ripped me off and didn’t put my necklace in my bag. The environment in there was very judgemental and unwelcoming. I will probably never come back to this brandy Melville.

Nice clothes but zero customer service at all. Maybe they should switch to commission so the staff acknowledges customers in the store. The staff NEVER greets anyone or tries to help. The store was totally dead, first thing in the morning and no one said hi or asked if I needed any help. My daughter waited to try on clothes and two girls stood chatting to each other while she stood just a few feet away and they completely ignored her. Hands full of clothes to try on and they just keep talking. Cashier is standing there doing nothing behind the cash as is another girl. Seriously ? This is every time I have gone there. Come on Brandy Melville , listen to your customers and get some staff that are friendly and helpful.

Yesterday I drove an hour in the pouring rain to come to this store after checking their store hours online multiple times to make sure they were open. I got to the door and the sign said they were “closed until further notice.” Please don’t waste your time coming here if you are making a trip. Also calling in advance doesn’t work either since they don’t answer the phone. Terrible customer service!
