During our visit with Sara at Alma Bridal in Vancouver, she was gracious, warm and attentive. After trying on a few gowns, I said yes to the dress, and she also custom made a cathedral length veil for me that matched perfectly in both shade and style. I also found out that her father/grandfather before her was a professional tailor. Would personally recommend a visit if you are preparing for your wedding.

Great experience! Sara the owner made my dress and even did a last minute custom change to my belt. I really love my wedding dress and I would trust her to make other special event dresses.

I had the worst experience with them. I have never seen such unprofessionalism before. The first time I visited them, I was passing by and saw that it was a new place so I thought to give it a shot, but the door was locked! I knocked the door and a lady appeared from the back. She apparently “didn’t know it was locked”.. That’s odd, because the advertisement board was out, so how did she not notice it was locked!? Then she told me I was their first customer (dah cause the door was locked), and told me she was excited to make an appointment with me. The next week I came back here for the appointment, but again the door and gate were locked! Nobody was there, so I called their phone. Then another lady picked it up and told me things have come up to the manager, so come back at 1pm. (the appointment was at 11am) Hm again that’s odd, because the “manager” has my phone number and I didn’t not hear from her at all about delaying our appointment. If she had some things that came up even if they were emergency, she could have called me to postpone our appointment, but nothing was done until I called them at 11:15, and the other lady didn’t even know about it either. This lack of professionalism here just makes me shocked! Since the lady said I was the first customer, the rest of google reviews must have been written by their staff, or she was lying that I was the first customer. Either way, you will be lied if you visit here. Don’t even give it a shot. The door might be locked.

I got an Essence of Australia sample sale dress of size 12 (D2365) which I bought in Montreal before I moved to Vancouver. I was told to have it altered at the boutique where I bought it from since it would be very difficult to alter it down to my size (about 6 or 8) and the seamstress there was very experienced with this brand. However because of the pandemic, I was not able to return for alterations. Fortunately, I found Sara at Alma Bridal. I have to say, Sara is a very skilled seamstress. I had to get it altered twice because the first time when I got the dress back, it seemed like a different style, and way more loose. However, I realized that I was not very clear in telling her what I want at the beginning (that I want it tight around my body and my bum :)) Sara offered to come back and she managed to alter it to perfection the second time round. I will edit this post with a picture after the wedding, but it is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much Sara. FYI the first alteration took about a month to get the dress back, but the 2nd time it took her a few days. And please make sure that when you come in for alteration, don't be shy to tell her exactly what you want and where you want it tighten. She's a very sweet and patient lady!

Just the worst bridal experience... the dresses on the rack are outdated. The staff (maybe owner) who was helping me didn’t even ask me what kind of style I liked. She kept telling me to wait for another customer to finish up in the dressing room and try the dresses that were already in there. I hated all of them and told her they’re not my style... but she didn’t listen. She kept insisting I try it on and modifications can be made. Even thought we had an appointment, we left after 10 mins.

I brought my wedding dress in 10 days before my wedding after another seamstress had completely wrecked my dress. Sara was able to finish it so it was ready to be picked up 3 days before- do all alterations, and correct all the damage done. She really worked miracles. I would recommend her to any one. Custom dresses and alterations are amazing from here. She was easy to contact, always responded promptly and listen to what I wanted. She made my dress into a strapless and it looks amazing. 10/10 experience. Hours are super flexible so even when working they’re open late to pop in. I couldn’t be happier.

The Best I went to the Alma Bridal store and had an amazing experience! I managed to get in without an appointment, but I would recommend making one (I just had my mom with me). I was helped by Sohila. She was so professional and not pushy. I never felt pressured to go over my budget and I managed to find my dream dress for LESS than my original budget. I think she was as excited as I was, it was magical.

Wonderful bridal experience. I was looking for a unique bridal gown which I couldn’t find in any store but Alma bridal custom designed my dress and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I was very happy with the result. I highly recommend this place.

I made an appointment online as indicated, and when I went to the shop for it, it was locked and closed. I called multiple times with no answer. I sent an email asking what happened, and eventually received an email back saying that something had gone wrong with their calendar or booking system not synching to their calendars, and to "rebook online". I was not inclined to book through their system again, since it obviously didn't work the first time. The strangest part though, is that the appointment was during their normal and advertised operating hours when they should have been open anyways. Seems like a strange way to do business--to just close when they say they'll be open, on a Saturday, no less. I was out $30 in cab rides and unimpressed. Do not recommend.

I found my dream dress at Alma Bridal for an amazing price. Soheyla is a kind, warm-hearted and helpful owner. I just love her personality as much as the dresses she makes. She let me try on a lot of dresses, and I had such a nice time talking with her. She is willing to make changes to the dresses if you wish, and I felt that this is a very thoughtful service. I will highly recommend this place to a bride having difficulties finding their dream dress.

Very nice lady, and really really great job on the dress. I got my dress somewhere else. BUT if I found this shop before I got my dress, I would definitely get my dress from her instead. I went here for the alteration, it was a complicated dress, but she did an awesome job. Even better than I expected because she added some nice lace on the top. Definitely recommended!

I brought my wedding dress here for alterations and Sarah did a very good job. I have a lace wedding dress and it was a bit difficult and time consuming to adjust the length but they did it perfectly. I am very happy with their work. It only took them a week to do all the alterations I asked them to do. Sarah is very nice and sweet. I know wedding dress alteration is not cheap but she gave me a very good deal. I would 100% recommend Alma Bridal!!!

i am always very sceptical when trying new stores, especially when finding a dress for the most important day of my life. but Alma Bridal did not disappoint. i was SO nervous and Sarah was so warm and knowledgeable with all of the different designers/dresses. she ended up picking the dress of my dreams. you can’t go just anywhere when you’re finding the dress that will be in photos you will see for the rest of your life. if you want a great selection and amazing service/the warmest sweetest staff you could imagine visit Alma Bridal

Most amazing experience here. 12/10 service. Would highly recommend going here to anyone in search of a gown for their special day. I was near by for school and was only in town for a few days. My mom walked into the store, they spoke with her right away and were able to book an appointment for the following day when I was available. They had the most stunning, one of a kind gown that I tried on and instantly fell inlove with. They were so sweet and made me feel like the most beautiful bride. I was needing to catch a flight the following day and Sara made alterations and a custom veil, even though I came in at 5pm (they close at 7pm) I've been to many boutiques and the quality of service wasn't nearly what it was at Alma Bridal. I want to give a huge thank you to Sara and the staff at Alma Bridal for making my experience so special.

In this exact order, this was how bad my experience was: - They forgot about my appointment - The lady at the store when I arrived didn't speak a word of English so she called the owner (I'm assuming) and then I talked to her on the phone. She apologized but said she wouldn't be back for about an hour. She asked if i would stay and wait for her which i responded with a big fat NO! She said i was welcome to stay and try on dresses but of course I wouldn't be able to communicate with the person at the store so it may be a bit hard. I think she was hoping to rush back and catch me before I left but i never ended up seeing her. - I looked through the small selection and was actually super unimpressed! Everything looked cheap and tacky. I managed to find 2 dresses that looked alright so the lady put them in the room for me. - I could barely get these dresses on because they were so tiny. I understand sample sizes and I am a size 6 but these styles were tight so i couldn't really get a good sense of how they were supposed to look. - I asked if there was any other sizes and the lady said no so i was like ok then I guess I'm done. - I changed back into my clothes and when I came out from the curtain there was another lady there who I'm assuming was the seamstress and she spoke a bit better English. She said there was no other sizes but it could be altered. I said no need i don't like it enough. She couldn't communicate that much more than the first lady but asked me to come back for a better experience and asked me to make another appointment. - I don't know if she understood everything I said but I responded NO! I'm busy enough with working full time, teaching fitness classes and planning a wedding. I almost didn't have time to make it to the first appointment never mind taking more time out of my life for this. I had a bad experience, was forgotten, couldn't fit in dresses and couldn't communicate with the staff... why on earth would I come back here?!? I walked out defeated and sad that this was my first bridal experience. They had all my information from when I booked the appointment so I thought maybe I'd get an email or phone call from the owner but NOPE nothing! I have since gone to 3 other salons and the selection and experience was 1 million times better than this one. I would have given it zero stars if i could have. Save yourself the time... just skip this one!!!!

I had a fantastic experience at Alma Bridal. They are simply AMAZING!! Alma Bridal was very professional and accommodating. Soheila is really patient, kind and amazingly helpful. She took the time to get to know my style; in fact, the very first dress she picked for me was the dress I ended up choosing! I was honestly a little nervous to start wedding dress shopping but this was amazing! They made my experience very very special!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, it was definitely the best customer service I've experienced to date.
