I was looking for a dress that was impossible to find — but I was lucky enough to get a tip to try After Five. I called and Boris was able to locate my dress and told me he could get it in the mail the next day! I talked to Brad who worked through payment from the US from Canada — and my package was on the way. It arrived today safe and sound — and absolutely GORGEOUS! Thank you for everything!!

If I can give 10 stars, I would! The customer service I have received from this store is like none other! I called from Alberta and liaised with staff in hopes to locate a dress from a brand that only a few stores on the West coast carry! The courtesy, attention to detail, prompt search and definitely the price made my experience very pleasant! To top it off, I LOVED my dress upon arrival! Staff has communicated with me through tailoring inquiries as well, although it is of no benefit to them! This retailer isn't local to me, but I will be sure to order any future dresses from them and recommend to all friends & family!

Found my wedding dress here! After going to numerous other bridal store, After Five took the cake. The staff were so nice and friendly, and not pushy at all. They had lots of beautiful dresses for reasonable prices (around the $600 mark). Ladies this is the place to go if you're looking for a low-key relaxed fitting appointment, with high-key beautiful dresses ????

Our absolutely favorite dress store in town. Whenever the special occasion comes, and when ever my wife has to look fabulous for weddings or events, AFTER FIVE FASHION is our GO TO DRESS STORE. They have a huge selection of dresses, that I myself and my wife love! She always gets tons of compliments whenever she wears their dresses. They have wide selection of brand name dresses, with much lower price compares to big ticket stores. Their excellent customer services with the combination of their great listening skills are one of the best in the industry. They always take care of us! If you want to look fabulous for weddings, events, proms, and any special occasion, we highly recommend After Five FASHION.

Made a purchase and was told by sales person alterations were included in cost. Went back for alteration and store owner said there was no way any of his staff would make that claim and would not honor what his sales person said. Would not even budge on $160 alteration cost in light of the circumstances. Very poor customer service, will not shop there again.

Awesome place, with a massive selection of everything from grad/prom dresses, to cocktail dresses, to mother of the bride/groom gowns. Plus you can get an entire fancy outfit there, since they sell not only dresses, but purses/clutches, shoes, spanx, sticky braws, jewellery, and shawls, among other things. It's like the Canadian big box store of really fancy female clothing. Photos are encouraged there, which is nice, and the interesting selection of so many pretty things makes me seriously consider graduating twice, lol????. The only drawback is they could use a few more dressing rooms, but with their location being in a mall, not much can be done on that front unfortunately. They do have in house seamstresses though who can do needed dress alterations such as hemming, so you don't need to go find someone else in the city to do it, which is helpful. All in all, a really awesome place, plus the younger manager is hot, so there's that too ????.

I purchased a dress from After Five Fashion for my daughter's wedding. The dress needed a lot of alterations to fit and look the way I wanted it too. The staff, especially the dress makers went above and beyond to accommodate altering it to make the perfect fit. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, making my experience at the store pleasant and comfortable. A big thank you to Ayisha who went out of her way to alter the dress to my 100% satisfaction. I'll be honest. I didn't feel very welcome in the store. I had to try and find someone so I could try on a couple dresses. When I was trying on there was no worker to help me zip up. So I had to walk out of the little change room and ask my boyfriend to help me. Then on my last dress she finally came back when he was doing me up and freakwd out saying no boys allowed back here! There is no sign saying no males, and why did I have to try on dresses where he couldn't see when I was out of the little room. Overall my experience was poor and I don't recommend this place to anyone who is nervous about trying on dresses.

This store at Richmond centre was amazing!. Not only did they have a huge selection online, but amazing options in store as well. Went here to try on prom dresses after looking at their website and found everything I wanted! The store was easy to navigate and the dresses were stunning, ranging from all prices and designs. The associates were always very eager to help and did everything they could to find me the perfect dress! Very Easy to shop here. Definitely recommend going here if youre looking for any formal dress for an event!

After having gone to multiple other stores who said that they were unable to order a grad dress in my daughter's size because it was too late in the season , we were very pleased when After Five not only had the grad dress my daughter liked but were also able to order in her size in a short amount of time. Awful service. I tried on a couple of dresses and the sales associate told me they looked terrible because I was too short. She then proceeded to personally pick out the "right" dress for me and tried to force me to buy it, so I told her to put it on hold. Shirley, if you're reading this, I won't be buying that dress sry :)

(Translated) It’s too pit. When I bought a dress, I got a whole number, but I was told by the clerk that I could change the number one. The money to change the dress almost caught up with the dress itself. Listening to the accent is a Russian tailor and it has not changed very well. Why not tell customers that there is such a high cost? If you want to set a small one for too long, you can advise customers to choose other styles, so that the first size is good enough to tell you to spend $200-300 on the dressing fee, which makes people hard to say. very unhappy. (Original) 太坑了。买礼服时大了一整号，却被店员说可以改小一号。改礼服的钱几乎赶上礼服本身。听口音是个俄罗斯裁缝，改得并不好。为什么不告诉顾客有这么高额的费用呢？如果再定小一号会太久，可以建议顾客选其他款式，这样先量好尺寸才告诉要花$200-300的改衣费，让人有苦说不出。很不高兴。

So I'm from northern Ontario and found out in May that I would be having my wedding in August. Finding my dream dress amidst a pandemic and actually getting it in time seemed like an impossible feat. In my frantic search for "off the rack" dresses. I stumbled across the After Five website. After finding a few styles I liked I called the store and a wonderful gentleman picked up. Unfortunately the initial style I had chosen wasn't in stock. Instead of just leaving it at that, he actually contacted Sherri Hill to see if they would be "re-cutting" the dress and called me back that same day to let me know they wouldn't be remaking that one. He then gave me a list of similar styles and we found a nearly identical dress from Tarik Ediz. The best part is that it could be made and shipped to me door in 6 weeks! Figuring out my sizing was a breeze, I contacted them once again by email and Brad walked through the whole sizing and ordering process with me and continued to keep in touch during the entire process. I can honestly say the experience was so wonderful and stress free. My dress arrived today, it is STUNNING, it fits like a glove and I've got over a month till the wedding. Thank you After Five for being my fairy godmother and making my dreams come true!

I don’t know if this is bad customer service or the Richmond store decided to offer mediocre service to a COLORED CUSTOMER? If you’re a person of color, don’t bother, they will make you feel like you’re begging for service. Really bad experience. I came to the store looking for two MOB dresses for my mom to wear to my upcoming wedding. When I first showed up, the manager took my details and said he would be calling me a couple days later as he had to confirm with the designer, I didn’t receive a phone call and so I drove there after work only to find out that he hadn’t even asked the designer yet, "shoot, I FORGOT". And so he took my details (again!) and said he would call. Five days later, no phone call, and so I called and yes, as you can imagine, he hadn’t called the designer yet, HE HAD FORGOTTEN... AGAIN and yes, he asked for my details again.... So I went to their sister store in Delta, I received EXCELLENT service there but apparently only the manager who’s also the owner can do the ordering. Appalling. At the delta store, we were talking about ordering literally the next day. Finally, I ordered two dresses.... and yes, to this day, I am still waiting for the gentleman to give me a call back about the dress I initially wanted (!) Fast forward to today, I show up to the store, and I get handed two dresses, one is a completely different color and style, he basically decided to order a different dress for me, without bothering to consult me. So I ended up with a ruined day in the middle of a heat wave, feeling discriminated, crying in my car and with a mom with no dress. I won’t be returning, and I will never in my life recommend this store to anyone. Unless they want to feel insulted.. then yes, I will direct them here. I wish I could give negative stars. UPDATE: I went back in today and after almost 45 minutes of arguing - including the manager trying to feed me a false narrative about a chat we had (mind you, we never spoke for more than a minute at a time because he never called me back each time he promised he would) to saying he had emails... which he did not have. The manager simply would not admit that he was wrong and instead had a line up of excuses: telling me that I did in fact order the wrong dress (not sure how as the dress is my wedding color), telling me that "he is helping me and a doing a favor" - talk about privilege, diminishing me to not knowing my colors and saying that I ordered a color that the designer doesn't carry and pointing at the dress and asking "did you think this color is eggplant?" (pointing at the right dress but playing mind games), raising his finger at me and asking "what do I do with a dress that size? I do not carry dresses in that size" meaning he doesn't like to dress plus size women. All this spoken in an extremely CONDESCENDING tone. He even told me to give the store credit he was forcing on me to my enemy. Who bickers with their customers like that? I finally got my FULL REFUND but I am so SHOCKED at how a person who thinks so low of women dresses them in such beautiful garments. Being around for 50 years and serving the same "kind" of people means nothing if you won't evolve with time and with the growing diversity in Vancouver. Oprah was discriminated in Switzerland! Shocking... I know. In conversations like this, you should listen and learn, and not rebut with "We've been doing this for so and so." Vancouver today isn't Vancouver 50 years ago, or 10 years ago. Word of mouth does go a long way, I will not hold back to share my recorded experience.

Waited here for 20+ minutes to try on a dress, only to have someone who just walked in get a fitting room ahead of me. Extremely disappointed, would never come back! Edit: The sales associate was not willing to hear comments even from others that backed up my claim. This "spring break confusion" was not apparent at other stores I purchased from.

I saw a lot of styles and colours and sizes. Staffs were friendly and welcoming, but dresses were quite expensive but mostly are beautiful. Short dresses ranged from 200-500. It would take a long time to find a dress that really suits you, so be patient.

Literally you can find whatever you are looking for, rest assured that you do not need to go shopping anywhere else! I have 3 girls that graduated high school and i took them straight to after five and found their dream dress on our first visit. Coming here forever!

Thank you to Rene and the staff at After Five, Richmond Centre. I purchased a wedding dress one week before my wedding day. The service was fantastic! They were so patient and accommodating and were able to rush the alterations to have the dress ready for pick up in time. And it was affordable! We came to After Five to shop for prom dresses, and we were thrilled with the selection and quality of dresses, as well as the excellent service. The woman who helped us took the time to observe what we liked and didn't like about the dresses we had chosen to try on, and then she brought us more dresses that she felt would be good, and we ended up buying one of those! She had a great eye. We did not feel under sales pressure while shopping (unlike other stores), and it was a lovely environment to shop in. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a prom dress. Great experience.

First time purchaser and nothing but good things to say. Last minute wedding reception due to covid restrictions required me to purchase a formal gownonly a few weeks before the wedding date. Ordering online, sight unseen was not the most desirable way to do this but I couldn't be more pleased. After Five was great over the telephone with the initial purchase and follow up with Brad was fantastic. Once received in their shop, the gown was shipped from BC to Ontario overnight, leaving more than enough time for alterations. Best of all, the gown was as advertised. Thank you so much After Five!

Ok-ish dresses that are over priced. And a staff either too worried about moving their stuff around or talking at the front of the store. Other staff at the back, to help you zip up while trying on, just placate and say what they think you want to hear, they really offer no real valuable comments, assistance, or true opinions. They just want to sell and off-load the dresses as quickly as possible, they don't care what you look like IN the dress... If it zips "you buy, that nice dress, it look good" is all you will hear. Not one asked me the STYLE I was looking for....

I recently bought a dress from after five from their online service. We live in Ontario and were unable to get the dress we wanted in the size that would fit my daughter. The stores in Ontario wanted me to buy a dress 4 times the size of my daughter and have it altered? I thought that was crazy or pay extra 50 us dollars for shipping from us to get a dress 2 sizes to big!!! I found after five online and they had the dress we wanted in her size. We delayed buying it and so the one in her size was sold but they were able to get another dress in and we have received it in plenty of time for prom. We worked with Brad through email and phone calls about sizing and timing of delivery(which was free) and he was excellent. Great customer service!!! The company also received the wrong dress from the manufacturer and thank goodness they realized the company had sent them a size 10 instead of a zero and they were able to have that dress sent back and the proper size sent out to them with very little delay so koodos to them for being attentive to detail. We received the dress and it is beautiful and great quality..it was from the Ellie Wilde collection. It came really well packed with few wrinkling to deal with and we also received a free garment bag due to a slight delay in receiving the dress. It is very scary to order such an expensive online without knowing the store or seeing the dress in person but I would definitely recommend using after five, they made the process flow smoothly and relayed any questions or fears that I had. Brad was excellent at communicating and keeping us informed every step of the way!!! I didnt get asked to do a review or get a gift card for leaving a review I just like to read reviews when buying something and so when I have a good experience I know it will be helpful to the next person. Absolutely amazing, some of the best customer service i’ve ever received. they are all super nice and very knowledgeable. they gave me all the time i needed in dressing room (i spent over 4 hours looking at different prom dresses) and created ways for me to continue thinking about which dress i wanted at home.
