Absolutely amaaaazing service! The sales associates deeply care about their customers and the store manager goes out of her way to ensure the highest satisfaction. The store carries a lot of wedding dresses however all customers are treated with love, care and attention - even if you're not purchasing a wedding dress. I will definitely be back for more dresses in the future!

March 8, 2016 At 3:30 i went to this store to look for my dream wedding dress in hope to find a beautiful one that would fit my budget i had made an appointment previously.. I arrived on time and no one was at the entrance to greet me as i keept walking a very old lady asked me what was i doing at the store i told her i had an appointment and she seem to not have a clue what i was talking about so she asked me what are you looking for i told her a wedding dress and i told her my budget and as soon as i told her she laughed in a very sircastic way and told me i would never be able to find the dress i want with that kind of budget and she turned around and helped another lady that was trying on bridal dresess.. I never feelt so humiliated in my life i didn't stay one more second i walked out very sad and unhappy and i wish this on no one the old white hair lady! Was beyond rude! First store i ever visited to try on my first wedding dress very highly dissapointed..the experience at this store was crap! I will make sure to tell everyone i know to never visit that store! Ever! Staff is Garbage!

I was a 1st time shopping there and I was looking for a dress for my daughter’s prom. I was already overwhelmed from going to so many other stores but this time it was different, Kerry greeted us and took her time to show us dresses (based on wat my daughter’s sense of style and my budget). Needless to say it was a great experience all together, as a matter of fact the whole staff was very friendly and professional ...I will definitely go there again for my next special event. Quick summary: The seamstress saved this visit. Without the seamstress we wouldnt have purchased from this store. And we ended up buying 1 wedding dress and 4 other summer dresses from this store. Which was almost $2,000 in sales. Never ignore a walk in - you just never know! Long summary: We were in the area visiting other bridal stores and heard this one had reasonably priced dresses (ie: $1,000 or less). We did not have an appointment at this one store and when we walked in were greeted and told if we didn't have an appointment we would have to leave (even tho there was no one else in the store). I begged to allow my SIL to try on 4 dresses. Said we knew exactly what we wanted and would limit it to 4... so they agreed. While my SIL was trying on the dress the consultant made several sarcastic comments about needing the dress within 2 months of the appointment date. And then I saw her and another consultant whispering behind their hands - VERY RUDE. But then that consultant left and the seamstress took over the appointment and was AMAZING! So helpful. Friendly. Fun. Light hearted. Pinned the dress instead of pinched it with the pincers. Any alterations my SIL asked for she showed us how it could be done. Then when she found out my SIL was just up visiting for the weekend offered to do the alterations over night so it could be picked up the next day. When we showed up the next day we had a few minor additional alterations and she complied without complaint. Although I feel she should have noticed the need for those alterations herself. Yes...we would recommend it to someone else.

Hi, I recently went to the burlington store to get a dress for a party. The size i was looking for was not available there. The staff(dont remember her name,worked on 02.18.2020 evening)provided a best shopping experience and she went beyond and ordered the size from a near store i could get my dress within few hours.I really appreciate her help. She was so patient and helped me to find a perfect dress. Definitely I'll shop here again

When I first walked into the store, I was overwhelmed. I am not the kind of bride who has always known what she wanted for a wedding dress - in fact, I'm not a fan of wedding dresses at all. However, all the employees made me feel extremely comfortable even though I was far outside my comfort zone. I bought the third wedding dress I tried on. I also picked my bridesmaid dresses there, and my headpiece. On top of that, the prices are beyond reasonable. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

Dress People is THE place to go for all your dress needs! They have lovely gowns and dresses for all occasions. After going to a hundred stores we landed here and my god were we impressed! We started out with one dress but ended up buying three for all three ladies in the house. The two ladies who assisted us Rehana and Rena are incredible! This is my second time I’ve purchased a dress from Dress People downtown Brampton. The first time I bought my bridesmaid dress with my cousin and the bridal party and everyone was very nice but this time I bought a dress online for my mom for my wedding. I cannot believe the sale I got. I saved $500! This dress is so beautiful and Rehana scheduled a curb side pickup during this pandemic so quickly and even allowed me to exchange the size! Curb side pickup was nice and easy. Rehana is super friendly, I would def recommend this store to anyone. I remember even before covid, their displays and dresses in store were so pretty! I loved just going in and walking around to window shop.

I was insulted several times by the woman fitting me. She also judged my choices and put me in dresses I did not like because she wanted to see me in them. I felt uncomfortable my entire time in the store, my mother and friends who accompanied me also wanted to leave because even their personal space was being invaded by the workers.

Everybody is very patient and very helpful. They care about your satisfaction and go above and beyond to accommodate your wants and needs to find the perfect dress! They are all extremely dedicated to helping out the customer and answering any and all possible questions. The prices are great and so is the quality of the dresses. Overall, the employees are very sweet and aren't primarily focused on making a sale, but focused on making sure that the customer is happy and ends up with their own unique dream dress :)

Noticed this store while in Burlington Mall and since I was looking for a dress, I thought i'd check it out.... I will never go back. The sales lady is very pushy. She insisted I try on dress after dress. They weren't really my taste but she kept coming back with more. I didn't think I was going to be able to leave without buying something. She even offered to adjust the price. I' tried to look at other things on different racks but as soon as she noticed me looking she tried to push that on me. I'm to scared to ever go back.

Went to the Burlington store today with my friend. Rachel greeted us when we walked in and asked if we required assistance. She brought our clothes to the change room for us. I saw a dress I liked but required a different size. Ameera contacted the Brampton store for me. I am from out of town and leaving Monday. Ameera said it would be in the store before then. Then she offered to pick it up for me tomorrow and bring it to the Burlington store for me. I was so impressed. Excellent Customer Service! Thanks Ameera and Rachel.

If I could give less then a one star I would. All their dresses need "work", the customer service is non existent and the sales associates are rude and will say anything to get a sale. After emailing their "customer service" about an issue in their establishment they had no valid response. Please don't waste your time, money and energy going into this ratchet establishment.

Never heard of being charged a “deposit” just to try on prom dresses! Clerk said we would need to put down a deposit of $50 so we could try on dresses. When I asked what happens to the deposit.... it would go toward the purchase of a dress. And if we did not end up buying... it became a “service fee”!! Needless to say we did not pay the fee! We walked 5 stores down and found helpful and friendly staff who gladly assisted us to find just the right dress! Without a service fee to pull dresses off a rack and restock them. Maybe this a tactic to prevent people from trying on and then buying the dress online... but i still think it stinks.

Overall I wasn't push or pressured into buying my prom dress. The sales person that served me, Jill was extremely helpful in the overall decision. She was patient when I couldn't decide and very knowledgeable. She was able to understand and find a dress that suited my overall style and figure. If you are going to buy a dress here, I would highly recommend asking for Jill's help!!! They have a huge selection of dresses, ranging from all styles, prices and sizes. When you first walk in they have a lot of glittery ballroom style gowns which wasn't really my style and kind of intimidated me but do not be afraid, they do have many simplistic/conservative gowns. I truly recommend this place, more so then the bigger chain stores like David's Bridal because they have dresses that are unique and you can't find anywhere else!!

Ok I took my wife at this place and get this - their policy is to pay $50 for one hour to get assistance from their staff and to try on their dresses. If you end up buying something that day the $50 goes towards the purchase price. If you don’t you leave with a store credit. Judging from their inventory, nothing seemed wowing. This is a money grab and have NEVER heard of a retail store charging you to try on their clothes. What are you in business for? Complete scam and DO NOT recommend this chain at all.

This place is amazing! I went to other places to look for prom dresses and this is by far the best! The service was fantastic! I walked in and was greeted and asked if I needed help, she asked me what styles I like and asked if I had any pictures of dresses. What I really liked is that she let us look around as she looked for dresses I might like and brought them to me. Most other places would just drag you around the store to help you without letting you look for yourself. They also really know what they are doing. They are not trying to push you to buy a dress, they want you to find a dress you would love and look amazing in. You're able to add straps or a slit to a dress which is amazing! Plus you register your dress so no one from your school can buy the same dress. Lastly, the prices are very good, much more affordable then other places for such good quality. They have something for everyone. I bought my prom dress here and I'm in love with it, can't wait to go back to get it altered and to add a slit! Shout out to Jill for being so amazing!!

I’d like to express the poor customer service I have had here. Ordered dresses months in advance and paid to have them rush ordered. Called two weeks after the date they said they would have been in . Was told that she could not even find my order from the girl on the phone and that the manager would be in the next day. I have already given them leeway for two weeks. Not even a phone call or apology or any word saying what was going on with my order. I gave her my contact information and have yet to hear from the person above the manager who I was promised were to return my call the same day. My advice shop elsewhere. This place has been nothing but a headache for this bridal party.

My salesperson Rena was very knowledgeable and also pulled dresses that I would never have tried. Ordered my dress online after trying this on in A different store before COVID hit. My sizes changed slightly so used their size guide and my dress came and fit perfectly. The dress came quickly inside of a bag inside of a nice box to protect it. I haven’t worn the dress to the event yet but I’m super excited! Really happy with my purchase.

My experience at Dress People Ltd. was great. I didn't find out about this store until after I purchased my wedding gown, however I did find my bridesmaids and my mom's dresses there. We also got some fun summer dresses for my shower there and some flip-flops for our beach wedding. They also allowed me to bring my wedding gown in for their seamstress to do my alterations and to my surprise the alteration cost was less than the quote I got from the store that I purchased my dress from!!!! The alterations were perfect! and so was my entire experience from this store, I will definitely vote for this store to be # 1 again next year!!!

2nd Edit: And it gets worse. I brought back the dress to get it fixed, which they were very apologetic about the confusion and mistakes. I felt a little better but decided to wait until I picked up the dress to change my review online. When I went to pick-up my dress today again I was met by confusion about why I was there. I said I had an appointment and my name, they ask me the colour of my dress. I say a wedding dress. They ask, "All lace?" Yes. "Jasmine?" Yes. They then go to the SALES FLOOR where my dress is on a rack in a clear bag clearly meant to be sold. I ask where was the bag it came in, she then says she doesn't know and says but it's in a bag. At this point I'm pissed and just try it on so I can leave. After trying it on she admits to being told to steam it, and she didn't know it was for someone and she put it on the floor. "Her mistake," she says laughing. I ask for my bag and she said can she just give me a new one. I say yes as I just wanted to leave at this point. My question is, what would they have done if someone bought my dress before I picked it up? What if I hadn't come today? They wouldn't call about a missed appointment, they didn't when they got the time wrong on my old appointment. Plus they lost my garment bag with my info in it. These people are completely unprofessional! This is not a laughing matter. I'm a month away from my wedding, had they sold it I would have been screwed. When I was out of the dress I had to ask for a bag as they left me standing there with my dress and no bag. The fact I even had to ask for a bag is appalling. Did they expect me to walk out of the store with my dress on a cheap plastic hanger? Also not the hanger I had my dress on, mine was on a nice sturdy hanger. Never shop here! The service was just disgraceful. Edit: Thinking about my previous experience made me take a closer look at my dress only to discover why it's still pulling. Even though I let it out in the hips, they never moved some of the floral detailing causing it to pull at the original hem. So much for letting it out! The whole point of letting it out is to make the dress look better, not worse. I've previously purchased two dresses from here and had great service so when I knew my wedding dress needed alterations and my mom needed a dress for the wedding I decided to come here. I had previously asked if dresses not purchased from the store could be altered here and was told not a problem. First my appointment time was written down incorrect so when I showed up they had no clue I was coming. Our appointment cards said the 17th, on my dress it was written the 7th. Then when I got there I kept receiving rude comments from the seamstress such as "this was the dress from hell." They were very annoyed I had not bought the dress there and made it clear. When I asked for help finding a vail or headpiece they showed me one or two, and then told me to look myself. I was even planning to buy jewelry and shoes but since I wasn't given any help i decided I will go elsewhere. The whole experience was very off-putting. I wasn't even shown how to bustle my dress until I had already taken the dress off. It was very upsetting considering I spent well over $600 in alterations and my mom spent $500 on a dress and alteration. I may have not purchased my dress there but I still expect salespeople and a seamstress to be polite, especially when together we spent over $1000 in alterations and merchandise. I use to love this store, and I would no longer recommend it.

Worst customer service .. I tried a dress I liked but I found some cuts in the fabric !! They refused to reduce the price and told me they will fix it and it is not their fault !! It is the customers but still I will buy it from them !!! They promised to be done next day .. I came after 3 days I found no one touched the dress with the same cuts !!!! And I have to wait till they do it and the lady told me when I got upset it is not her fault as she wasn’t her the day before that there is no manager to speak with .. I said that is unacceptable she replied that I have no other option .. I have to wait and she left me !!!!!

We had such a wonderful experience buying dresses for myself, my mum and sister for my bridal party, all thanks to Rehana and Rena!! Dress People have a wide variety of collection of clothes and Rehana was so lovely and helpful in finding us the perfect one for us. Everything was made super easy for us right from the start to the end. Be it trying the dress on or finding the perfect accessories and shoes to go with ???? Rena did a fabulous job of making alterations to our dresses and having them ready for us on time! Definitely recommend going to Dress people and buying dresses from these lovely ladies! I had the most shocking experience... as I got body shamed from the sales person. I was in need of a dress and was actually willing to spend their over priced dresses, you could find the same or similar dresses in David's bridal or take the drive to 4040 steels Ave. The lady was extremely pushy for me not to try anything on I tried one dress on and she yell at me "did you see the price on dress your trying on it might be put of your budget...I never told her what my budget was" (yes I can see I have eyes and I always see the price of everything) This made me very uncomfortable so I didn't try anything else on I had 3 dresses to try. I'm mindful and realistic I know I'm not a size 2 but I'm also not a size 18 or 20... I was looking at size 12 which is my appropriate size and everytime I would check out a dress her respond would be "oh thats not stretchy that will not fit". Next dress picked up "oh I really don't think that size would fit" . " I just really don't want you to waste your time trying this one". I'm sorry if you gona body shame someone she should be a size 0 or be a perfect 60-90-60 .But she wasn't. Totally disappointed, disgusted really that she get to do that to people. At the end if you walk 5 stores down like previously said in the reviews j'adore has really nice dresses fully beaded and lace and sparkaly and some peagent/red carpet dress as well! Priced fairly and their costumer service is AMAZING!!! *respond to Owner since we can not reply* ( no size or budget was discussed )***was expecting that sort of answer from the owner/manager I could tell you directly were the one who made those offensive comments!! I know your trying to sugar coat your lack of costumer service and offensive behavior . Realistically nothing is going to happen since you are the one who manages or own this place. Because this is your store you get to treat people how you want and at the end nothing is going to happen. It is truly sad that you get to shame women about sizing and shape I really hope people take the time to read this and know what to expect when they shop in your store and avoid to be put down. You should really be careful there is girls/women who suffer mental illness due to their body image and you could trigger someone not Ina good way.

They lost the wedding dress that I put a deposit on, I never received a phone call back when I tried to contact them about it. They also had blades on the floor from an xacto knife. I only got a credit back for the dress. THEY had lost the dress- not me, why should I have to only get a CREDIT back on a receipt. Which was useless because there was nothing in the store that I would buy for that amount of money that I had put on deposit. Waste of money.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Dress People. I ordered my daughter's prom dress online by her measurements. The same dress locally (in New Brunswick) was considerably more in price! The customer service was outstanding! There was a slight delay in shipping due to Covid but I was kept updated. When the dress arrived it was safe and sound and fit very well. Alterations are necessary but only because of the length. I would highly recommend them as an on-line store. My bridesmaid dresses came in late and instead of calling to let me know about the back order they just left it until I called over and over and questioned them. Also the sales staff are very pushy and make you feel uncomfortable.

I hate that I have to even give them a star as they do not deserve it. I went to this store to find a wedding dress, ended up buying one plus a veil. My venue changed and I felt this dress wouldn't work with my new location. I spoke with one of the employees and she stated that I could get a store credit, which I thought was fair. She advised me that I should call back and speak with Rehanna. When I called Rehanna, I came to realize that she had already been briefed on my situation (although she pretended she had no clue). Rehanna refused to give me a store credit, even though I was already promised one from the other employee. Rehanna is lacking customer service, she has no empathy, nor kindness. She flat out said that she wouldn't help me.

Very disappointed. I have been shopping The Dress People for several years. Recently, I went there to find out that they are charging to try on their clothes! I understand retail has suffered during the pandemic but to ask patrons for $50.00 to try on their line is absolutely ridiculous! Yes, they said if we buy something we can use it towards it? Really? How are they even allow to get away with this. I will never set foot in a store that would take advantage of their customers at a time that we are trying to rebuild our economy.

I am a very satisfied customer due to the expertise of Yashna at the Burlington Centre People store. Yashna is a superior salesperson with a personality to match. I did not feel pushed to make a purchase. I was drawn into the store to check out the leggings I saw in the window. I was going to just try them on, but Yashna lead me to a table with other choices as well. I said no to a few, but Yashna had some suggestions and persuaded me to try them on. She was immediately available to check on my choices when I exited the change room. I didn’t end up purchasing the one I saw in the window, but I bought 2 of the 3 choices Yasna had picked for me, along with a glitter face mask. This boutique has so many beautiful gowns that it is impossible you will not find something for your event. I purchased my gown for my daughters wedding back in Jan 2020 for a May 2020 wedding that Covid rescheduled to July 2021. The ladies at the boutique are so amazing and made all my alterations happen in the limited time they had from when they opened up and my dress looked amazing. I came into this store not expecting much and was TOTALLY impressed by the quality of product, the sales people and the seamstresses. We explained that we were looking for my wedding dress and I specifically was looking for a tea length dress; the woman took me right to that section, and literally hand picked my dress for me. It is PERFECT. The alterations didn't cost very much and the seamstresses are simply wonderful people! They also helped me to pick out shoes and a purse to match my champagne coloured dress (which I had difficulty doing on my own). All in all it was a great experience; I'll definitely go back to the Dress People. THANK YOU!

My daughter ordered a dress from some place online that was not appropriate for the event that we were attending. The staff is amazing, I needed a dress but my daughter was unavailable. After a stressful day at work I thought I would go out and look for dresses for my daughter's wedding, I thought it would fun - boy was I ever wrong. The sales lady was VERY aggressive, even after I told her I just wanted to look, but she would not allow me to look at or touch anything without her help. I told her repeatedly that I wanted to browse first and if I had any questions I have no problem asking for help, but again, that was ignored. Her aggressiveness and lack of professionalism made for a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. I will no longer go to the Burlington location, but I may check out the Oakville location.

After Struggling with MANY Bridal Stores, My Self and 4 of 5 Bridesmaids made the Trip from Guelph to Brampton! We walked in an we're immediately greated by a staff member who was so warm and welcoming it's like she was our best friend! We told her we had tried a few styles ( out Favorite Unfortunately they didn't carry) but she went right to work pulling Dresses like crazy we had like 20! She wisked us over to 2 dressing rooms side by side and told us to have fun! The girls tried on dress after dress and the ladies were always right there to help zip, Clip + Pin ! They we're extremely helpful putting the one's we didn't like back and grabbed us More with out hesitation!! Made us all feel so welcome! Never pressuring us for any sale's, every Girl had found a dress they liked and we were able to put Deposits down on 4 of the 5 ( one was bought that day). We left the store so happy and excited it was a Huge relief for everyone!! We all had an amazing Time, I will be bringing my Mom + M.I.L back to shop for there Dresses. The selection was Amazing they had Plenty of Plus size dresses. I Will recommend The Dress People to Everyone!! Thank you ladies for this experience!!!!!!

The staff is wonderful, however, the manager is not flexible or understanding. My sister decided on changing the original prom dress she had chosen as she was unhappy with it. The manager refuses to honor our request to change the dress. Now my sister is left unsatisfied with a prom dress she doesn't like on her special day that she will experience only once in a lifetime. Tragic.

I do not recommend this store at all. Very pretentious, pushy, judgemental and overall rude customer service. My fiancé and I happened to be strolling through downtown Brampton, and thought it might be a good idea to just take a look at what sort of wedding dresses they have. Upon entering the store, a customer service rep rushed to greet us. I explained that we were just browsing currently, as we unexpectedly came into the shop just to get an idea of some wedding dresses, with no intentions of buying or trying anything on at that very moment. She began pushing for what my style and budget was to help me find the 'perfect dress', wanting me to try on dresses right away. Despite only wanting to browse at the moment, I went on to explain that I was not looking for a traditional style wedding dress (as we are not having a traditional style wedding), and told her my budget (which I knew was very low, but again, I explained I am not looking for a traditional wedding dress). I felt extremely judged by her response of shock and dismay upon hearing such a low budget. I felt that I had to justify my choice for a dress/ wedding multiple times during our conversation, which made me feel extremely judged despite this being none of her business to begin with. She still proceeded to show us extremely frilly dresses which, not only were none of them what I described to her in terms of style, but also was made to feel extremely pressured to try on/ buy a dress that I didn't like just because we happened to find one within our preferred budget! I got more and more frustrated as our visit went on, as I merely wanted to be able to rule out whether or not that store would have a non-conventional wedding dress I was looking for. Instead, I was made to feel inadequate for having a somewhat different vision for my wedding dress in comparison to the sales representative's deeply entrenched societal ideals of what a 'wedding dress' should be like or look like. Besides this, she seemed to not be listening to a word I was saying, asking me 4 or 5 times of what my size was, when I had already told her multiple times. The customer service here is extremely unprofessional and very pushy. Please don't go here unless you wish to feel judged and pressured by pretentious and insensitive staff.

I found the Dress People to have a large variety of nice dresses and a knowledgeable staff. However, their manager/customer service is horrible. The dress I purchased had t a number of the crystals missing. They still charged me full price for it but gave me a small packet of crystals (12) so that I could fix the dress myself. Unfortunately, the dress required 42 stones. With 30 years’ experience, I’m surprised the sales clerk so grossly underestimated the extent of the damage to the dress, but I think she just gave me the minimum to get the sale and me out of the store. My dissatisfaction relates to how the manager of the store (Reanna) behaved when I tried to discuss a mutually acceptable resolution to the issue. I’m a firm believer that customer service issues are best handled in a collaborative, positive manner, but my requests that she call me were ignored, I was called a liar and was told I was ‘unwilling’ to find a solution to the problem because I was unable to make the 2 hour commute to bring the dress back (my event was in a couple of days). I did offer to come back at 10pm when my day ends, but apparently that was unacceptable. Normally, I’m pretty effective at keeping issue resolutions positive, but the manager Reanna is an extremely disagreeable, antagonistic and unprofessional person. When you spend several hundred dollars for a special dress, you hope to have a positive, pleasant experience and to be treated with courtesy and respect. This was a relatively simple issue that was handled in an extremely poor manner. Unfortunately, I lose because the wearing the dress is associated with a very negative experience and the store loses because they’ve lost any chance of getting my business in the future. I hope Reanna’s thinks the $50 or so she saved is worth it.

Travelled from Barrie to go the Brampton's Dress People store. Sadly after spending 30 minutes picking dresses, I was told that I had to pay a fee to try them on ?????!!! Apparently they had a sign posted but the sales person never mentioned it. What is going on? I have been in Retail for over 20 years and I have seen it all now! Shame on you Dress People, I will never come back!

I have been looking for a dress for my upcoming wedding. It is a second wedding and given I am 60 years of age, this was no easy feat. I had been to multiple stores and ordered and returned many dresses. I had just about given up, when I saw a ad for Dress People on Google. I contacted the Brampton Store, and spoke with Rihana who hearing my plight????????????, gave me a appointment for that day. To say that when I arrived that I was and still am amazed at the wonderful service I received. For the first time I actually felt like a bride. The wonderful onsite seamstress joined us. I am at a loss to remember this lovely lady's name but she is fabulous. We shared many laughs as I tried multiple dresses, but the first dress I tried checked every box for me. The seamstress assured me she could make a few slight changes to give me the exact look I had envisioned. The ladies brought me all the perfect accessories to make my dress absolutely perfect. I am moving and my schedule right now is hectic to say the least. These wonderful women made my wedding day perfect with all of their kindness and assistance. I highly recommend that anyone young or old ❤️check out the Dress People in Brampton for all your bridal , evening, prom, or any special event attire. Google only lets me give them five stars but they deserve many more. Thank you again ladies I look forward to picking my dress up next week and I am excited to see you both once again.❤️❤️❤️
